Very good tasting coffee and tea, and not overly sweet. Mellow and smooth, not bitter. Wonderful staff! Great dairy free options were available in their bakery. As others have said, their beans are locally sourced from Duluth Coffee Company.

Ordered online and still the best food I’ve had in a while! They have gluten free options that still taste amazing and the tomato soup is to die for! It was piping hot when it arrived and my boyfriend and I can’t wait to go check out the shop itself. He is still talking about it an hour later it was so good!Thank you for the amazing service!

What a fun find as we headed out of Duluth. Great hot drink choices. Wife loved the caramel latte. I truly loved the apple pie cider. Our son devoured the huge blueberry muffin. And my wife and I loved the breakfast sandwich on croissant. The staff was easy to ask questions of, the wi-fi was free and easy to access, and patrons can use the bathrooms. No changing table was only downside for changing our toddler. But great spot and will be a stop on our next visit.

While I will say the coffee is good, treats are good, and staff is friendly. They are very slow at making lattes. I ordered at 7:00 this morning and didnt have a drink in hand until 7:35. I waited outside the shop for more than 20 minutes while they made the three drinks ahead of mine. That guy arrived about the same time I did. I want the local small business to make it, but theres no reason a latte should take this long. Ive been here before when we could order and sit inside, and even then lattes came pretty slowly.

I’m not really a coffee drinker, and I don’t live very close. However, I have made many special trips out of my way to come here. I’ve always had fast service and a great experience. The staff is always friendly and very helpful because I never remember what my drink is called. I came with my mom to take advantage of the curbside ordering. They brought us out a little baggie that said, “thank you cookies!”. Just another reason we love this place.

Look, i’ll put it bluntly. Perk Place has the most decadent and smooth taste in all of Duluth. (you can trust me because i’m a coffee shop girl and i have lived in and explored Duluth for four years.) Their coffee makes tea lovers change sides. The staff are a warm group of people which makes the coffee experience all the better. Even with to-go only due to COVID they continue to invest so much goodness into making a beautiful tasting cup, a glorious moist bakery selection, and a safe atmosphere in a fearful economic crisis. everything is done with much intention, and i’ve never been let down.so, fellow coffee loving friend, stop reading reviews and GET GOIN to PERK already!!!

I had ordered a caramel mocha frappe, it took ten minutes to make and when they brought it out it was melting all over and dripping down the cup and sitting in a puddle. Apparently all the coffee had dripped out because when I removed the whipped cream it was just dry ice. No flavor, just a big log of dry ice. Not worth almost $8 at all.

My standard haunt. I’m here maybe 5 times a week. Ria and her staff know their stuff about coffee. They are supplied by the Duluth coffee company and do it justice with the care and precision good coffee demands. Best deal: the breakfast combo. They do an egg bake with sausage and a muffin, and with that you get a discounted coffee to match. Also: liege waffles.

I almost dont want to tell how great this place is because word will get out and it wont be cozy and quiet anymore. Service was outstanding. Friendly happy knowledgeable helpful staff. Food was also fabulous. I chanced ordering something thats often iffy if I will like it. Was a good call though because it was best I had ever had! I cant wait to go back here!!

They are so nice!!!!! They are so fast making your coffee. The menu is super amazing. I tried everything. It’s amazing drinks that I can can’t live with out. It is hopping in Perks Coffee House. Last couple I been I tried to sit there. I can’t even find a spot to sit down. Because it is packed. In morning and college finals with college students studying. This is one place I would go for coffee.

( please read everything, and understand )I came in with my family for breakfast around 10 am. It wasnt busy and there was no line, perfect. My family ordered our food and our coffee excited to start our morning with some good food. It took at least 10 mins for them to ring up our order and 3 workers had to come step in to correct our order. I personally ordered a medium turtle mocha and a blueberry lemon scone, they looked delish. The scone was dry, the lemon frosting was good though. The scone was so dry that when I touched it it crumbled and fell apart. I asked them when the scone was made and the woman behind the counter said those scones were made yesterday, well... Technically they were made today so I returned the scone and got the bagel instead and it was very good. When I got my turtle mocha I tasted it and it had no flavoring at all. My sister also ordered a turtle mocha and hers tasted very good, just like youd expect a turtle to taste. So I went back and told them that I think they gave me a regular mocha by mistake. And the workers told me (without even tasting it) no thats a turtle, the syrup is in there. Its not gonna be sweet like a Starbucks so I told them my sister ordered a turtle too and it tasted nothing like what she had. So they just put chocolate in my coffee, stirred it, and gave it back. Im sure that the this place is wonderful. But my experience was less than exceptional :(

The food is high quality and well made. I was greeted with a hello and a smile. The atmosphere is nice. It has an open layout which is nice. Very clean bathrooms. Very comfortable place to have lunch or just sip on a coffee or tea and read.

The nice, quaint establishment inside of a strip mall serves quality coffee but the small stores atmosphere is the real reason to stop on by. They will serve you your coffee in teapot mugs and make you feel the warm, wholesome feeling environment they have delightfully developed over the years. You never know what to expect with local coffee shops. However, Perk Place is not your average cafe. The staff is having fun and clearly know a lot about the food/drinks. The service was fast considering the food and drinks taste AMAZING. I’ll never want another McMuffin or Starbucks drink. This place has the best food and drinks HANDS DOWN. The sandwiches we had were so fresh and delicious (I had a breakfast egg/sausage sandwich and he had a lunch ham/cheese sandwhich). Another great thing about this place is it’s affordable. I could have spent twice what I spent here at a Starbucks for some half-as-good food. I couldn’t help myself, I had to go to the counter and tell them what an amazing job they do.Thanks for the stellar dining experience!

Best coffee place in town! Great customer service, great pastries and sandwiches, locally brewed coffee. Vanilla bean latte is my favorite. Not too sweet with natural vanilla flavor and nice strong espresso. I am and will continue to be a regular.

This is a cozy place to do homework and grab a cup of coffee or a bite to eat. The bakery items are very good and the staff is friendly and have recommended so great drinks for me to try!

Fabulous little cafe with great staff, great specialty lattes and the tiny Albert Einstein figures make it unique. Great for college students who need to study and made better by having a laundromat and grocery store in the same complex but also a perfect option for meeting a friend to chat.

This is one of the best hidden treasures in duluth. Small and personable. Great coffee, gf options for snacks. The staff is amazing! Always busy in the mornings.

We love the atmosphere, its a great place to get work done, not too bright or loud. The coffee is hit or miss, the sugary drinks are fine but I got an iced Americano and it was so bitter and acidic that it felt like it was burning my throat. The chai is a bit watery but I do recommend the specialty lattes they serve.

Great vibe, very good specialty coffee selections, and the staff were very willing to accommodate my diet restrictions. I was not a fan of the house brew (I think they may have burned the beans), but I keep going back for the atmosphere and lattes.

Wow. What terrible customer service. I WAS a regular customer. I will no longer patronize this establishment. I typically spent in excess of $50/week, always tip well, and keep to myself. More often than not, the place has little business. Today, the place was atypically busy and one of the employees (owner?) told me he needed to split the tables because we are getting busy. I guess for an average of a couple hundred dollars per month in regular business, I would have expected to be able to sit where I always sit and keep to myself, but apparently once they have your money for the day, you no longer welcome. I will simply have to find another establishment where I can spend hundreds of dollars per month and perhaps actually be treated with respect. Unbelievable.

As a 4th year college student I can honestly say this is one of my favorite places to study because of the proximity to campus and casual atmosphere! We were there the other night as we needed q bit after basketball game. Super disappointed when got a simple Turkey sandwich on dry cranberry bread, man gave it out of the refer it was covered in Saram wrap no lettuce, no one freshly made it the provolone was dry and crusty around the edges like fridge burnt. Got a bowl of tomatoes soup totally ice cold! He said being I am taking home I can reheat it! I wanted to eat it then in my car hadnt eaten all day! Got a tuna for my daughter she said bread was dry. That too came in Saran Wrap and was outta the refrigerator. She got a smoothie SMALL about fell over sick $5.96, and a cheesecake slice. About died total bill $32.00. Omg!!!! I could of went to Texas Roadhouse!!! I cant afford these prices for bad sandwiches.
