Wanted to shop there, doors were locked and no hours listed, was in town for the week, they have a shirt my husband was interested in. Finally on the last day there were lights, so I knocked. A lady answered the door saying she was doing inventory and they are closed for the season. It would be a good idea to post that kind of information for people to know.
Wanted to try a zip up sweatshirt on before I bought it and they would not let me. Then I asked if I bought the sweatshirt and tried it on and it didnt fit if I could return it and I was told no! Due to Covid they said. So rude! Went up the street and spent $100 at another store. Would not recommend this store. If I could give them 0 starsi would.
My lil brother has health problems and the lady that works there made him feel so special, I deeply appreciate it. The other time the same employee helped me out with few sweatshirts. Great place. God bless
Great little shop! Very cute items including sweatshirts, hoodies, crewnecks, tie dye, sweatpants, souvenirs, and more all with unique prints and logos. I’ve noticed so comments about costumer service, but the clerks seemed average to me. I would recommend this little store.
The guy working the counter was really nice. I gave him an empty box I found on the shelf and he gave me a 5% discount for helping him out. Also, I just realized as I came on here to write my review that I was in there right as they were closing. A lot of staff anywhere else would start acting impatient, but this guy was totally cool. Wish I would have gotten his name. Highly recommended store for great customer service 👍
Had short stopover in Duluth recently and needed sweatshirts for myself and grandson. Found the perfect shirts on the stores clearance racks outside the store (2 for $25.99). My grandsons fit great but mine was too small. I returned to the store within the hour, found another sweatshirt on the clearance rack, and took it into the store to exchange. The very friendly female clerk happily exchanged the shirts without hesitation. Very pleased with my purchases and with Up North the Good Life.
I have two boys (13 &16) who are very well behaved and have been complemented by numerous, including store clerks, for their manors and how polite they were. As we were in Up North during our vacation, they had souvenir money to spend and were looking around. They like walking sticks and were looking at the ones that they had available. They both had a walking stick with them that they had purchased at other locations but as they were looking at others available in the store one of the older ladies working told them that they could not look at them because they could not tell which on was theirs and which ones were the stores. Had she asked we could have shown her that the boys had already personalized their sticks. She could have politely asked if she could help them or asked if they could not pull the sticks in and out if that is what she wanted. Instead she decided to be rude and mean to them to the point that they left the store with hirt feelings. My wife went back into to confront her and let her know that she did not appreciate her talking to my boys that way and that they were doing nothing wrong. The worker told her that they should not have been in the store as this was not a baby sitting service. Obviously they dont like kids of any age and do not want them in the store whether or not they have money to spend. I highly suggest avoiding this store ESPECIALLY if you have kids or teens. They are very rude and have no idea of what common courtesy is to customers.
Was there for the weekend and really enjoyed this place! I found exactly what I was looking for and lovely girl at the checkout was so sweet that I ended up buying more stuff. Recommend
We purchased a few items last week. We did not notice that the zipper was defective on this childs hooded sweatshirt that cost $29.99. You cannot get hold of the store - the mailbox is full - any time during the day. They also do not respond to their email that is even published on their bags. What am I supposed to do? Customer service isnt even available. I would think Duluth, MN, would have a higher standard for their tourist shops on Canal Park.
Cool little shop with friendly people. Helped a lot to pick the right size
Worst customer service ever! My 4 year old daughter was playing with a toy and one of the associates approached me and told me that because my daughter scratched it. The item was $25!! There was the smallest scratch on it, barely noticeable. I asked her what if it was scratched before my daughter touched it and she said thats not my problem. I will NEVER go here again!!
This place is completely unethical and guilty of plagiarism. They take unique designs by local artists and replicate them on cheap clothing. Please do not support them. Seek out the local artist that create the original designs and support them. Boo to this horrible establishment. Why not support the latest cal businesses and artists you are stealing from by selling their products rather than plagersing cheap replicas. Shame on you!
Do not go in this store if you have kids! Even though they sell kids items, they don’t let the kids even TOUCH the toys. I explained that my kids weren’t doing anything wrong and she said she didn’t need my money AFTER I had already purchased my items, so I asked if I could return them and she said they don’t allow returns. Will NOT be returning
If i could rate this place with 0 stars I would. Employees are rude towards customers. Prices are outrageous. Just all in all a bad environment and experience.
