While shopping with My Granddaughter..I came upon Reeds Jewelers at South Point Mall in Durham,NC. I casually entered the store, more out of curiosity than anything else. I do enjoy fine Jewelry. And I equally enjoy & Appreciate Personable Knowledgeable ProffesionalRepresentatives!!! I gravitated to Michael.Who was very pleased I had wandered into Reeds. As he showed Me Rare Rings with outstanding Clarity. He was a Joy to speak with!! Being informed that Reeds is a Family Owned Enterprise made me so happy π. I have been looking for something Unique & One of a Kind for some time...Michael seemed to know exactly what I wanted after listening & making eye contact patiently.This is My Jeweler now & I am so pleased with my purchase. Anyonewho wants to be reated like Family...I say go to Reeds. There also were Very nice Pretty Lady Proffesional there too.They were happy to entertain My 6 yr. I had a wonderful experience at the Southpointe location. I entered the store to purchase two braclets for 2 friends I had who celebrated birthdays in June. Leslie Duncan greeted me and assisted me in finding the prefect gift. Leslie was pleasant even though it was close to closing time. She didnβt seemed rushed or irritated which I greatly appreciated. When I walked into Reeds, I had no idea what I was doing. Michael Clark approached me and I told him I was looking for a ring for my girlfriend and also wanted a sterling silver chain in the future for myself. After about a half hour of him showing me different ring options, I finally found the one I was going to get. He was very patient and wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. I received a ring from this store for Christmas but it didnt fit correctly and I had to go back into the store twice to get the perfect fit. From purchasing my engagement ring, to both of our wedding bands, a pearl necklace and diamond earrings- I wouldnt want to get jewelry from anywhere else! I was on the search for the perfect wedding band of my dreams when another store completely blew me off saying it was expensive and never pulling anything out of their case.. then I came across Reeds.. immediately the staff greeted me with a smile and simple questions to figure out what I was searching for. In less than 10 minutes their staff found my perfect match! I couldnβt have been happier and never once did they make me feel out of place! They also were able to get my engagement ring cleaned and rhodium dipped and it looks better than the day I got it! I worked primarily with Whitney to pick a wedding ring for myself. She was very patient with me on several visits when I wanted to see and try on multiple rings. After I picked the ring I wanted, Whitney called the maker, Triton, twice to be sure they had my size and to order it for me. I did not buy an expensive ring, but received wonderful courtesy and consideration nonetheless. It was a very pleasant and easy experience. I highly recommend this store.
We had a ring made as the original did not have insurance and had been damaged severely from a ride in the washing machine (it had gotten stuck on the inside of the barrel). Michael, the manager, was extremely kind and helpful. The replacement ring turned out absolutely beautiful. The original ring we had was very elegant and detailed. We were truly surprised at just how accurate the final product was compared to the original. The entire process from the initial consultation to the final transaction was fantastic. Working with Michael and the rest of the staff was nothing short of a pleasure.

Have shopped there a couple of times now and Mike Clark is always very help as everyone there. From information about watches for Father and myself, to my recent purchase or ear rings and necklace for my Mother. I dont make a lot, nor have good credit but with Progressive I can budget what I buy over 90 days same as cash. Always shown and informed of deals on things I might like. Never any pressure to buy. A very easy and wonderful place to shop at.

When I bought my fiancΓ©es engagement ring I was so happy with the service from Michael and his team but now that I am engaged I couldnt be more upset. She has been wearing the ring for 6 months and weve taken it in to be repaired 7 times. We have been told that its our fault and it looks like my fiancΓ©e has hit it on something every time we go in for a cleaning. She doesnt wear it at home, to bed, or in the shower to avoid damaging it because theyve made her paranoid. Theyve told us they replaced the prongs that were loose but looking at it you can see a build of metal like theyve just dropped it on there to try to strengthen it. The center stone no longer sits in the mounting straight. These people will be nice to you to make a sale and claim theyre better because its a more personal experience than Jareds or other places but they dont have an in house jeweler. This means that anytime your jewelry needs work you will be without it for 1-2 weeks. They ship the jewelry in a plastic bag to some unknown location for warranty work and your piece will come back looking atrocious. The jeweler they use is clearly not qualified and they clearly have no knowledge of what a good piece of jewelry looks like since they seem okay to give us the ring back looking like it was hit by a sledgehammer. Do not shop here. Go to a jeweler that has the ability to repair jewelry in house. It will save you time and heartbreak.

When I first got my ring from Reeds it was beautiful. After allowing their jewelers to work on it more times than I can remember due to a prong issue causing my center stone to be loose, the ring looks nothing like it once did. The customer service by this team is absolutely horrid and I wouldnt recommend them to my worst enemy. Micheal ruined a surprise engagement party for me and several other team members have horrible attitudes. I just got my ring back today from yet another round of work and Ive called corporate hoping for some type of resolution. Do not purchase here.

The staff is helpful and kind. However, we purchased my husbands wedding ring here and my husband felt his ring was too big after it came in and the associate told him it would be fine. We trusted her, and the ring was so loose it slid off his finger into his bag so he returned the ring to get one size smaller and they told him it would be 3 weeks. We call a little over 3 weeks later because no one has contacted us and they said it was supposed to be in but it wasnt. So we give it 3 more days and call again for the associate to tell us that because of the type of the metal it cannot be resized but if he want a new ring he could purchase one. He asked about returning the original but they say theres a 30 day return policy, remind you, theyve had the ring for 4 weeks at this point so its past the 30 days. The associate said shed contact the owner to see what can be done.If youre going to shop here ask important questions, like what is the smallest size this ring is available in, this way you wont encounter the same issue we did.Again, the associates were nice, and its possible they didnt know this would happen, but do better in the future.
The staff here are extremely helpful! I went in to get some diamond studs for my wife for our anniversary, the manager (Micheal) and his staff (Prince Marc) got me taken care of no problem. They listened to what I wanted to do and got it done and under budget! I will be sure to return soon!
RUDE. Rude customer service, went in to get a watch sized, immediately recieved attitude from the watch person, claimed he was too busy, despite doing nothing. Had to go ask someone else who then dragged me back to the same rude guy. Gave me attitude, saying why didnt I get it sized somewhere else (should have). Left my watch with him. Came back didnt even size the watch right. Also cost $11.
One of the best experiences I have ever had. Michael and Mark took the time to find the watch I truly wanted, not one I had to settle for. I will be going back to them both for my Christmas shopping. These 2 gentlemen need to be commended for their excellent customer service.

The first time I went there I was buying a Christmas gift for my girlfriend. The individual who helped me was very helpful and provided good customer service. She showed me several options and educated me about the a protection.Unfortunately, four months later the clasp of the necklace I purchased broke apart. My girlfriend is a passive individual and does not like to cause any issues. I convinced her to take it up there because I purchased the protection plan. She took it back to get it fixed and she received it back 10 days later.A couple weeks later it broke again. She went back up to the store to let them know the clasp broke again. She spoke with the Assist Manger, Jim and he was very rude with her. He was snappy and did not seem to care that the necklace had broken again. I called up there to speak with him and he was very rude with me as well. He tried to make me feel like I did something wrong.Although the necklace was a nice piece of jewelry. The customer service has turned me off from this jeweler. If I am spending of hundreds of dollars or even I was going to spend thousands, I would wanted to be treated with more respect.
Looking for a ring could be very difficult. The selection here was beyond what others could offer, not to mention the customer experience here. There was never any pressure in trying to get me to buy something more expensive. Michael and his brother Mark are very knowledgeable and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone I know! Unlike the Authorized Hamilton repair store in front of Sears, this store actually knows what they are talking about when it comes to watches. I have no idea how my ring is going to turn out, but I am not pleased with the lack of punctuality on the part of this jeweler. My fiance and I went by in late July/early August to finally have my heirloom diamond put into a new setting We are extremely low key people and not pushy or pressed about much, I just want that to be clear. We are very relaxed and generally unbothered. We picked out a band that needed a setting mounted, and we also requested the band in platinum instead of the standard white gold. We were told that it normally takes 2 weeks to come in, but ours might be closer to 3. That was perfectly fine, we were excited because even the late estimate would mean the ring was here in time for our 5th anniversary last week on 8/23/19, and we understood the longer estimate due to the customization request. It is 8/28/19, and my ring is still not here. My fiance has called a few times. Once, they said it was still on track to be in at the end of the month- that wasnt the initial estimate, but whatever. The month ends in two days at this point, no sign of the ring. Then, he called again, and was now told it would be in around September 6th. Ridiculous. Weve already had to make a payment on a ring we dont even have, havent even seen. I wouldnt be surprised at this point if they lost my diamond and are stalling. My diamond has a flaw that is discernible to the naked eye, so I will know if theyve made a mistake. I just dont understand how your estimate can be so far off, and how you dont even communicate with customers that have paid you thousands of dollars. We decided to go with Reeds over Finks because I found the Finks customization process overwhelming, but maybe we made the wrong choice. Id really love to have my ring, but who knows when Im actually going to get to see it. I cant schedule engagement photos because I dont have a ring. If youre a person planning on getting a ring ordered for a proposal, may I suggest you do it way ahead of time because you might have your plans messed up by their unfortunate timing.
Wow, what can I say? The team at Reeds is absolutely amazing! They have unparalleled customer service and worked wonderfully with my FiancΓ© to find an amazing ring that he knew I would love. We returned to the store today to look for wedding bands and I got to witness firsthand how great Mark is. He not only helped me find the perfect wedding band to highlight my favorite features on my engagement ring, but he was also patient and helpful when helping my future husband decide on a wedding band for himself. This year had been a very difficult year for our family with losing my father and then losing a baby months later. I wanted to have my wedding set altered with a new setting to represent the good that God has brought through the trials. I was still very sensitive at the time because it had only been a few months since the loss. I worked with Michael who was very patient and kind. He emphasized many times that he wanted to make sure my husband and I felt good about our selection and that he wanted to make sure we felt it was the right representation.He also shared creative ideas in altering my jewelry. We were on a tight budget so he brought in real and replica options that were all reasonable. Overall I was highly impressed with the care we received from him and the store at Southpoint during a rough season of life.
My husband and I went into the store to look for diamond stud earrings for our 16 year old. This was not our first jewelry store but we knew it was going to be our last! After meeting Michael and realizing he was there to take care about us and not just to make a sale we will never do business elsewhere. The professionalism we experienced made us very happy! While we were there they noticed there was a flaw in the setting of my ring and recommended I have it fixed or else I could loose my diamond. They fixed it and it did a beautiful job! My ring was sized incorrectly, and had to be sent back out to get redone. This however is not why I am giving a poor review. I understand mistakes happen.The reason I am ultimately displeased is based on how the store manager Michael Phillips spoke with me today. I have a feeling he speaks this way to everyone including his employees based on what I observed today. He spoke down to me, and made me feel like I did something wrong because as he said I was given a discounted wrong price from the start.I will no longer bring my business to Reeds. If you are reading this and have your heart set on something at Reeds I suggest maybe trying a different location.
I have been going to Reeds for years and even now that i live in Raleigh, I will still drive to the Reeds at South point. Mike, the manager, and the team there are wonderful and i would highly recommend this store to everyone.
I went in the jewelry store this afternoon to get two batteries replaced in two very expensive Kate Spade watches. They told us the watches would be ready in 15 minutes after 30 minutes we went back and they were still not ready but thats not the bad part, they cracked the mother of pearl face and one of the watches and then denied it. They were rude and hateful people. I wouldnt take a gumball machine piece of jewelry to this place. Beware and avoid!

None of them even came close to providing the level of customer service as Reeds at Southpoint Mall did. The Store Manager, Michael Phillips and employee, Julia, were able to create a ring that was exactly what my fiancΓ© wanted, despite the fact that they had to special order almost every piece. My experience was almost effortless on my part because they knew what I wanted and what was within the capabilities of my budget. If I could give them 10 stars, I would.
I dropped off my engagement ring a few weeks ago to have it resized. It was due to be returned by 21Jan2019. I recieved a phone call from an employee on 17Jan2019 stating that my ring had returned and was ready to be picked up. On 20Jan2019, I drove over 30 minutes to get to the mall. When I got there, they could not find my ring. I essentially got a shrug of the shoulders like oh well come back tommorow. WTF customer service??? If your store potentially LOST a customers ENGAGEMENT RING its a BIG DEAL and I expect it to be treated as such not just too bad its your problem.On 21Jan2019, I got confirmation the ring was in the store and went to pick it up. The associate, Mike, was extremely helpful. Unfortunetly, the ring was loose and had to be sent out again.I recieved a call from the manager, Michael, on 22Jan2019. He was very apologetic and made arrangments to correct the sitiuation. Although the whole situation has been upsetting and inconvinient, at least the manager made things right.
