I bought a joyride 1 week ago. We took it out for our first paddle today in a lake in cool CT. My wife was all smiles and said I think we should get a second one. I agreed and just purchased it right away. This board is well made. Its sturdy and will make for lots of family fun and great exercise.Jason one of the Owners at Hydrus is great, helpful, informative, responsive. Love the board, and new board bag!customer service was hard to get a hold of with issues concerning the original board bag that was falling apart. Jason from Hydrus did come through and hook me up with a rad new board bag at discount. Would recommend there products and would purchase another in the future if needed. The board and new board bag are both solid products and make for a great adventure out on the river, ocean, or chilling around the lake.

Ordered my first Hydrus board during COVID, of course expected delays. Jason kept me up to date of progress and when board arrived, we took it out to the water, absolutely worth the wait, its an incredible board and couldnt be happier with customer service, many thanks!

I wanna start off by saying I genuinely appreciate how Jason (owner of Hydrus) took the time to personally call me and answer all my questions before I purchased my board. Seriously, which other paddle board company has an owner who spends ~20 minutes talking to a potential client about any concerns or questions they may have. If that doesnt scream AMAZING costumer service then I dont know what does.If you spend a few minutes looking on reddit youll find that people HIGHLY recommend Hydrus and with good reason. Not only do you get high quality customer service, an awesome board, great price, but you also help a small family company. Not to mention you also get a lifetime warranty, which is unheard of for paddle boards. If youre considering getting a Hydrus board, go ahead and just get one, youll be happy that you did.TL;DR: Small family owned business, superb customer service, great quality/price and LIFETIME warranty against defects on the board.

Long review incoming! Novice paddler, 55 human. The review is for the Hydrus Paradise, but you can get some information about quality and company below as well.Summary: High quality package, easy to paddle, easy to maneuver, attractive look, tracks straight and impeccable customer service.Customer service: Immediately what attracted me was the reviews and customer interaction from Hydrus. Hydrus is a company that exudes inclusion. That made me feel confident they would put care and time in the their product because they truly enjoy the sport. From their descriptions, I felt educated. For example, I bought the UV protectant they mention on their website. I never would have known to do that!After reading pretty much everything on their website, I couldnt decide between the Paradise and the Joyride All Around. I read in some of the reviews that Hydrus was happy to answer questions over the phone and they were not wrong. Again, you get the feeling youve met a friend who is just as excited for you to get a new board as you are.Board:1. Shape/length - When I used to dread paddling to a new spot on my old board, I was spurring my friends to stop sitting around so we could have another go around the lake. Theres such a free feeling to giving a couple of strong paddles and then just letting your momentum carry you. This board really glides over the water well. I couldnt believe that I could paddle on one side until my arm got tired - this thing is straight as an arrow - no need to be switching sides all of the time. I feel like this year I have so many place to go explore! I know this thing will let me paddle for a long time and cover a lot of ground!2. Deckpad - The length is obviously nice for performance, but also for lots of room! I had a ton of room for my gear and more than enough left to lay down when we took a nap. I didnt realize it when I picked out the board, but I like that all of the included straps were up front. Its nice to have all the gear up front, leaving a sort of of free area in the back. I want to try out quick turns with that rear pad too, so I wont be putting any extra chords on the back. Obviously the extra D-rings are such a bonus. I also really loved the extra hand holds for carrying the board in addition to getting back on it from the water. You have choice on how you carry it out to the water, which is always nice.3. Look - This thing is gorgeous. Im proud to be on it in the water. This was by no means necessary for me, but did sort of feel like a cherry on top. I got a lot of comments about how cool it looks. You look really professional! (Im not). I think the combination of the colors and the shape create a wow factor. My group also actually noticed how much stiffer my board was than the rest of the groups. Those reinforcements really do the job.Accessories:1. Fins - The standard fin obviously made for great tracking, and I am SO excited to go river SUPping with the river fin. The only problem is none of my friends want to go because they are afraid their boards wont be able to handle it.2. Bag - They arent lying - this is the best bag. There is plenty of room, a place to store your fins, paddle, pump, and board. It comes with a strap to keep your board folded while you put it in the bag. Honestly, I have a hard time lifting everything, but I dont feel like the bag is unstable or unwieldy. Its just a lot of gear you can get in there (and Im not very strong)!All in all, Im super pleased with this purchase. I am genuinely more confident as a SUPper. I feel like I have so many more options (length of trips, types of trips) that I would have been to afraid to try before! I also truly feel like I got a STEAL on the quality for the price. Looking at the other high-quality brands... buying from a small business at this price point?! Its a no brainer. Thank you Hydrus team for such a great experience.

Just purchased a Hydrus Board from Jason and he was simply amazing! Jason gave my husband and I some great tips on using the board! Very professional and loved hearing the passion about his boards as he shared tips! My husband had previously purchased a board from another company and after trying my Hydrus board returned his for one like mine! 2 boards in 2 days and Nick was just amazing with our second purchase when we went back for my husbands board!Passion in making these boards is shown in all they do! Absolutely love my Hydrus Board! Im a 54 female and a lot of boards are awkward and heavy. This board is lightweight and comes with an awesome backpack which makes transporting extremely easy. Its awesome on the water as well. Cant say enough about it really. So glad I purchased!

I told myself Id finally get my own board this summer. After about 5 months of research, I went with the Hydrus Paradise 126 board because I wanted something I could do EVERYTHING and ANYTHING on... its a MASSIVE board! With that being said (as a girl @56), I was a little nervous to see if I could handle it. So heres how it went-Most importantly: This was ordered Tuesday and I received it in time for the weekend. Incredible customer service keeping me updated through the whole process.Unboxing: yes its BIG-thats why they include the Mothership backpack! This backpack fits the board, paddle (not included) and pump with plenty of room for (literally) anything else. Its no doubt the best bag on the market when comparing its quality and additional pocket features.The board: purely exceptional. You can tell this was made by people who love paddleboarding. From the additional D rings/ tie-downs to overall materials used- this board is definitely going to last a while.Its the end of July and I can say my research and selectivity really paid off. If youre thinking to yourself that those big box store boards are the way to go, dont. I tried out some models on a few lakes in my area not realizing how different boards could be. Then I took a SUP yoga class that used Hydrus boards. I could never go back!Jason makes an incredible product. The Joy Ride board, pump, and paddle arrived yesterday and they are SOLID! I cant believe the craftsmanship. The backpack is brilliant too - who doesnt love pockets?! Ive taken it out for a yoga session and its really stable even on some rowdy wakes. 10/10 would recommend.

Best Boards on the market, Jason is very helpful in finding the right board/boards for your style and the Customer Service is Top-notch....my favorite toy is my Hydrus King Dub 88 chomps through Whitewater and surfs like a dream! Cant wait to order another board soon.

Terrible customer service, I’m still waiting for my board after 6 weeks . They don’t answer my emails or calls... very disappointed !

I have been paddling for several years and have owned a number of different boards. But was still looking for a board that was durable enough for my adventures. When I first spoke to Jason he was extremely patient explaining the different boards he made and how his boards differed from other manufacturers. I purchased a Pocket RocketAnd have been very happy with its performance and ability to withstand my abuse. I have an Elysium on order and cant wait to paddle it. Jason is super stoked about his line of boards and it shows in their design and craftmanship.

Love my board! I bought an Elysium and it is a great board. Jason gave me the nickel tour of the Hydrus facility and showed me how the process works. He also was very helpful in getting me the board that fits my needs.

There were some hiccups in the pre-order process, but Hydrus was transparent on the issue. Ive only had my board out a handful of times this year, but so far its been great. If I need another board or anything SUP related, Ill likely go with Hydrus again!
