I love this place. Good, fresh produce !Reason I give 3 instead if 5 stars, is because in this location, in E. Hamptons, they removed hot food. Many, especially in summer would come, grab soup or salad or sushi or mashed potatoes and eat either inside, or, in summer, outside.Bring it back!
Excellent looking food, VERY arrogant staff, completely dismissed my question and were quite rude. Checkout was so slow, I had to put down my items and leave empty handed. The East Hampton location was terrible, I have always had a good experience in Southampton. Very disappointing, the Cheese Man needs to go
Best thing about it ....Staff very helpful and polite, store is clean and organize. But lots of products over price, I imagine they should be, its the Hamptons and its Citarellas good combination for expensive food. Nothing to complaint about quality.
Well stocked gourmet market. The fruits are a treat. Good butcher and fish counter.
Best market anywhere. You want it, they have it
Hard to go wrong in this over-priced gourmet market. Good selection of salads, nice meat, produce is always top knotch.
A complet supermarket..a lot fresh food
Phenomenal cheese selection. Everything looked enticing and plenty of workers to assist you with a speciality decision.
Love the lil assorted cupcake box and Anne is top notch with customer service.
Great quality and selection.
Always an excellent edible experience
I could spend hours (and thousands of dollars) carefully browsing each and every aisle of this place. Its basically an upscale grocery store with a neighborhood feel. Located smack in the middle of East Hampton Village, its location is super accessible. Parking can be a major pain in the summer, so consider taking an Uber.
Wonderful displays buthers that know the business
The selection is always first rate, with a wide variety.Try the prepared turkey thighs when they have them, or the Asian chicken salad.
Good place to buy. The stuff is very helpful and warm that is a plus in this days.
My mother and I shopped at Citarella this morning and enjoyed the premium produce and overall selection. However, when checking out, the quality of the customer service was not a match to the goods of your store. The cashier looked miserable and annoyed that we needed a bag for our items. Everything was loaded into one bag which made it very heavy and difficult to walk to the parking lot that was across the street. Overall we were just upset by his attitude.
Great place
Good costumer service
Excellent selection of fresh fish and produce. Very pricey.
Great fresh variety of food!
Expensive but nice selection of 🧀, meat, 🐟 veggies and fruits, flowers also prepared floods etc.Does not except cash.
Very good coffee on the go. Its also a deli and supermarket but I only had the coffee. They have outdoor seating too.
Great place to grab a quick bite. Reasonably priced. This shop is laid out almost exactly like the one on the upper east side...Not a huge selection of foods, but it will hold you until you hit a large grocery store.
Very expensive fish and meat. The fish quality looks average and the meat is of higher quality, but priced too high. The employees are less than helpful and moody. At this price level, the employees should be extraordinary.
Citarella is the epitome of excellent quality, service and very fair prices.Since August 2018 I have been Waiting for Corporate decision to start participating with Long Island Harvest to have foods donated to East Hampton food pantries. This would make Citarella a respected member of our community by giving back to the needy residents. Please reply to Long Island Harvest.Thank you,Gary
It is a must go kind of place
Shop here quite frequently since overall it is convenient, and better than most other full service stores near us in the Hamptons. Local farm stands and fish shops are still the go to for us out here for those products. When in the City there are better alternatives. The problems for us are baked goods and prepared foods vary widely in quality. Some very good, and some quite mediocre. They also do not carry organic fruits and vegetables, or grass fed meat (other than chopped meat) so we shop for those elsewhere.
I didnt go to market but to the coffee place...Good house coffee and nice veg wrap. But reduced star for not so good restroom
Delicious!
Family food excellent experience place is tops Anthony from New York
If I could give no stars I would! Stay away from the bakery section. Specially from Jennifer who works the counter. She is very careless, unfriendly, unsanitary and a liar! Is my second time having an issue with her. I went to pick up a cake. She wasnt there but then she came in to assist other customers that were waiting. When she went behind the counter she open the fridge and without gloves!!! took some mini tarts and put them in a box, someone placed an order over the phone or something. She then placed them back in the fridge again without gloves! Her demeanor is as she hated her job and the people around her. There are much better places to shop in the Hamptons. Stick to local vendors. STAY AWAY FROM JENNIFER!
Love selection of good and freshness of all the vegetables.
No hot food like in Southampton or bridgehampton
Good selection of food, employees are not helpful. gave me a vibe that they think they’re better than everyone else there. slightly disappointing.
Great food and atmosphere
Its a grocery store
Poor selection of groceries, high prices
High quality deli:-Make your own salad.-Good fried chicken, good stews, good mashed potatos.-Good options for breakfast-Excellent pastries
Miller is the man.
High end Trader Joes
I went to their to go counter and ordered a BLT with no mayo for myself and an order of chicken fingers and fries for my son and niece to share. I got what appeared to be good service and went home looking forward to lunch. When I got home and unwrapped my sandwich, I was surprised to find it covered in mayo. I made sure as I always do to emphasize that I didnt want mayo on my sandwich. I guess the girl taking my order didnt listen, or the cook didnt follow the instructions on the food order. Either way, I was out the price of my sandwich.I called then to attempt to rectify the situation because there was no way I was going to make it to the store and back (a 20 minute drive each way) without further inconveniencing myself. I mostly wanted an apology and an offer of store credit for the price of my sandwich. I was promised a call back from the store manager. However, I never did get that call back. As a result, I paid for a ruined lunch experience and bad customer service.
Citarella is my go to for fast food in East Hampton. The food is fresh and tastes like homemade. I love their salads!
The shop is really good nice quality food and not that expensive either...
High-end place with a swanky ambience. Good place to watch the city folk in the summer time. I come in for their excellent and reasonably priced burgers and fries.
Best market in town. Whether youre looking for the highest quality meats, seafood, or produce. They also have prepared gourmet specialty foods to take home!
Up market. Pricey Fabulous produce, fish meats. No basics sold
They do a really great job
Has great food and everything is well organized, but it does get cramped in there most days, which makes it hard to maneuver around.
Good stuff at this market. Both as groceries and ready to eat
I expect quality when shopping here and it does not disappoint. While it can be pricy, I have found items that are priced less than my local supermarkets in N.C. Customer service is good as well.
Cute grocery store. Awesome seafood options. They also have a great cafe! Delicious food at a good price.
Great variety of fish. Organic food and bread.Anal place so you can not find everything you need or any brand you like. In general good market.
This place is definitely very upscale and has almost anything you could want very clean and very fast service definitely an excellent choice for lunch or dinner
This is the best Citarella around. Delicious and creative.
Great little artisan market with good selection of upscale groceries. Service from the staff was okay, expected a little more considering their customer base.
Such a friendly staff! Best salad bar ever. The salad bar can become a lovely addiction.
Good grocery store for a variety of items. Overpriced, but it is the East Hamptons after all. Nice selection of pre-made food.
Prices are what you get, they may be high for normal people but the quality is worth the price. Also they have a good hot buffet, salad, bar, soups, and a great grill with excellent food.
The dessert looks amazing. Good baguette
I rode here with the Suffolk Bicycle Riders Association. This was a pit stop on what turned out to be an 100 mile journey to Montauk from East Islip via the southern portion of Southampton. Nice shop.
Easy consistent good food shopping. People are kind and very helpful. One of the BEST gourmet food stores in the Hamptons.
Beautiful beach, great for surf.
Has most everything you may need and theres parking in the back.
Your meat rub is just a glass jar of black pepper
Always delicious.
Excellent market. Cheese selection, seafood and meat, all top notch. Flowers often overpriced and less than fresh.
Dastardly expensive, but you cant beat the quality.
What a come down! I rely on Citarella in the City and have for many years. Fish here looks tired and old... not local. Staff is indifferent. Bridgehampton store much better. Will avoid whenever possible!
Every things realy good the people r very helpfull
Try crab cakes...soooooooo delicious...
Ordered an omelette at the prepared food counter. After a half hour and several assurances that it was coming (without actually checking) they admitted that they forgot the order. They were not busy. I expected more of citarella.
If you like to be around type A shoppers, this is your store. Good products, but everybody is very intense.
Sublime gourmet market and eatery❤Hot food and salad bar, creative and fresh!
The food is good. A bit pricey but good.
Always good and you get what you pay for. Sushi is very good too!
Good food. Little pricey. The staff is not friendly at all
Theres always a great variety of products and food here.
If you like over paying for food then this is the place for you!
The workers at citarella are awesome, however management is rude. I over heard a manager speaking to an employee my first time visiting this summer from England and I must say I was appalled.
Great selection of products and premade lunches/snacks.
Pretty good. Restroom for visitors is a tight squeeze!
Amazing little shop. I feel like they had everything a shop could have and then the rest....thousands of delicious things on shelves everywhere
One of the only place to really shop for food out East - and the prices show it.....Ouch
Its a bit pricey but very well very well the food youre going to get I havent gotten anything fresh but I get from the cafe lunch tables and Ive eaten from the counter Deli counter very impressive but pricey
Good omelettes cooked to order. Raw shrimp costs about a dollar each, medium size. Everything overpriced and quality has plummeted in the past four years. Last year I pre ordered a birthday and and everyone had the same reaction, the cake had spoiled.
Small and expensive but worth the price and hassle.
Everything I needed for my stay out here. They have a wide selection of gourmet food. Huge deli section so I dont have to eat out every day. Not the healthiest nit-picky selections, in comparison to Wholefoods.. but thats not what they are going for nor do they have that kind of capacity. Their deserts gave me a couple pounds for my return trip, but well worth it. Finding parking was a pain in some areas. You might want to come with a driver to wait in the car.
Over priced and the killed competition by refusing to renew their lease. MONOPOLY ... I wont shop there any more.
The sea food was good.. It was a little price. But what else would you expect in East Hampton?
Everything is fresh and lots of products.
Best turkey chili around!
Delicious, but from a Europeans perspective, the meat packaging does not adequately highlight or describe the conditions under which the livestock was raised
Manager Shimon is great. Beautifully sliced Scottish salmon...
Its citarella lines move quick nicest ppl work there biggest aholes go there
Satisfied my tummy, not my wallet.
Theres always really fresh seafood
