Stop and Shop is a huge supermarket. There is a vast selection of packaged and canned foods and a good produce section. What is odd is that in this huge store the meat selection is limited. I bought three packages of beef tenderloin (which were excellent). That was all the stock and it was not in stock for a couple of days. Perhaps this was supply chain limit due to COVID-19.

Far above the quality of your average Stop & Shop. Have yet to see any bad produce on display, the store is clean and has a much larger selection than most, plus they have surprisingly good sushi at the ready food section. After dealing with subpar Stop & Shops for years in other towns, its nice to see that East Hampton has a great one.

Produce from here always goes bad quickly. Avocados arent handled properly & the Stop & Shop Corp just sucks all over. I swear the prices are higher here than in other areas.

Too Expensive, and prices still go up. I bought White Castle burgers there, they were over $6. The local gas station had them for $4. You know they are overcharging as much as possible when they are more expensive than the gas station. Not one hand cart in the whole store. Running in and out is not easy.

I love this SnS because they have a lot of variety and prices are fair. They carry family size items so you save money by buying bulk items.

The store is clean and employees are nice. However, in terms of produce and premade foods I found big y 5 minutes down the road in marlborough has a better selection

Getting real tired of the deli dept. In East Hampton CT. Every time we pick up pre-sliced meat in the case they incorporate a handful of end cuts in a package of otherwise perfect meat. I worked in the supermarket business for 7 years. The owner would tell the deli to cut the end slices and wrap them reduced for quick sale. Here we are paying 7-10 a pound and we get scraps mixed in what seems like every package.Thank goodness there is a new Big Y in Marlborough. This store is the worst operated storeI ha ever been in. Only 1 register open and self checkout line is wrapping around to customer service. This is at 1:00 pm on Labor day. If I had a choice I would never ever shop here. Avoid it if you can

This is the local store. Good deals weekly. Most of the staff seems so unhappy. No smiles or greetings through out. I use self checkout mostly and the employees there are usually a great help! Im used to a much friendlier and happier atmosphere in my past stores.There is a gentleman who maintains the floors on a continuous basis. Polite and great presence.This is an update, June 28 2021. I have ordered groceries for pickup two times now and I am extremely happy with the quick and efficient service. I just wish they could accept tips.

Ordered a deli pick up on their app. It was ready on time. It was a very quick in and out.

Friendly hard working staff

I wish there were more cashiers/check out lanes especially during high traffic time, such as the Friday of Labor Day Weekend. It becomes difficult to social distance when customers are all funneled to limited number of check out lanes, including self check out.

The clerks are great everyone is so friendly the only reason I give it three stars is due to the fact that the state of Connecticut has again raise the gas prices. Even I hate saying this but

The store has gone down hill. Self checkout is a mess and there are never enough cashiers. No baggers and the carts are dirty. The employees doing the shopping for online customers are always going the wrong way in the aisles and dont move for anyone.

Perfect stop n shop with everything you need

Clean and a wide range of selection.The robot looks quite interesting. (I heard it detects objects on the floor and notifies staff)

Firstly we love the parking here. Long and wide spots. Also the store is clean and orderly with a friendly staff. They have everything we need!

I just had a Fabulous pharmacy experience~Yvette Fallon helped me save $60 on my prescription. She was so sweet and helpful. I wish more people would take pride in their jobs like she does. GREAT JOB! And thank you so much!!!

Not very good lately! I was there this morning and the self scanners didn’t work, no paper towels, no toilet paper, no paper plates🙁. Not restocked! Awful!!!!! I left and went to Cromwell Stop& Shop and it was AWESOME!!!!! Had everything 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉. I will NOT be going to East Hampton anytime soon

The staff at this Stop & Shop are always helpful and courteous, when they are there. The prices are reasonable. During peak hours there is always a wait at the registers, they rely on self checkout too much. The produce department is terrible. There have been a few times we got home with rotten food that was unnoticeable until we cut into the product. My rating is barely a 3, more like a 2.5.

All the employees are very friendly. Havent had a bad experience ever! Great job to the management

The old layout was so much better. It’s been a while since they changed layouts and I still can never find anything. I’ve almost put down my basket or just walked away from my cart so many times. I can’t wait for the big y to open down the road. But we did order a deli platter and it was pretty good.

This has to be the worst produce departments Ive ever seen! Moldy blueberries, and Strawberries and almost all of the red grapes were smashed at the bottom of the bags! Obviously stock doesnt seem to be rotated or even checked for that matter.

They have some good bargains. I believe they are called loss leaders to get you into the store. Then other items are priced over the top, almost to the point of gouging. This is a store that I will be very wary of if I need to shop. Caveat emptor applies here.

As far as stop and shops go. I am fortunate that this is my local store. Everything is always nicely stocked and they are always bringing new things in. Isles are big and plenty of check out lanes. Not a fan of the new Walmart style cashier bag carousel. Makes for poor bagging and rushed feeling.

If you dont like to make sandwiches to order in your deli then dont but dont make it like pulling teeth.it happens pretty often but this last time it bothered me. It wont happen again .if i want a sandwich Ill go to the other supermarket and do my days shopping there

This is not one of the biggest Stop & Shop stores. But they do a good job with keeping it stocked with a wide variety of foods. Typical Stop and Shop above-average produce at a reasonable price for Quality ratio

I use the wand to scan my groceries so I can bag them as I shop and get through the checkout easier. I had 7 items. I got to the checkout and was audited. They scanned my 7 items, but the audit required them to scan 10. The girl auditing had no clue what to do and called the manager, who repeated what had been done. 😞 Of course this is tying up the self checkout, which is pissing off all the waiting customers. So I tell them Ill go to a regular checkout without the wand, where Im still attached to this audit and now holding up another line! Shouldnt there be a way for the audit to adjust if you have less than 10 items or have a manager override? I dont mind being audited as I understand the wand offers dishonest people the ability to steal. But I dont like wasting my or other peoples time. My audits have never found an unscanned item.

Get your house in order, please! I dont know how many times we go to this place and they have moved items from one aisle to a completely different aisle. One time my husband spoke to four associates AND a manager and not one of them knew where an item was he had purchased before - but had been moved. Ill be shopping at the local near my job except in case of emergency. Its one thing to be the most expensive s&s but at least know where your products are located - ESPECIALLY if you moved their location in the last few days!!!

Produce is good, manager cares about the town and the people, prices tend to be on the high side. Store is clean and lines are managed well. Overall a nice store.

Overpriced, youll find the same exact items at Stop & Shop in Glastonbury for less. WHY IS BUTTER $6.50??? Whole Foods sells the same box weight of butter for $2.50. Produce is horrible unless you are into mealy apples and iceberg lettuce. Extremely limited selection of dark leafy greens, just basically plastic buckets of spinach leaves.

Not very good .I used to enjoy shopping at the store. The new set absolutely sucks and you are pushing self check with very few checkouts open with cashiers .I was over charged on three items but said screw it. Im pretty fed up with this store.

The meats are not a good quality. Almost always just a day off expiration date.

I have been shopping at the East Hampton store for almost 20 years. For the last few visits weve had to return to the store for items that were not put into our bags. But today was the worst things seemed like a zoo. The deli rang up my 1/2 of of cheese for $248.00. it came up as buffalo chicken., . We get in line to check out and were advised that we were in the wrong line because we had our own bags. You need to go to lines 1_5. The cashier competed our transaction, it was a joke trying to use the new checkouts with your own bags. First you promote using your own Mbps bags, then you start demoting using them and now you are back to using them again. Its absolutely ridiculous. It reminds me more of a Walmart store.

Aisles are too clogged. Prices could be MUCH better. Overall staff is ok. This store knows they have a lock on a small town.

I have always preferred to shop at this particular store. Unfortunately it seems that many of the items I need are not available so I am forced to go elsewhere.

Shelving too high similar items located in different areas making it difficult to comparison shop. Cashiers are often nasty and baggers dont listen to your bagging preference or walk away if you try to help. Plastic bags flimsy and often rip if not doubled bagged. Price checks take forever deli very slow but now have better precut selection floral dept workers rude. Return can room too small need more glass return machines. Pharmacy workers friendly helpful and knowledgeable willing to provide good customer service . Price points higher than average
