They overcharge people and send collection notice. My wife was told that Contact wearing has to follow some particular format. Which my wife was very well aware of being a user for last 10-15 years. But they charged some extra hundred bucks to CIGNA for that so called demonstration and they denied that obviously. When i questioned them, they told my wife has signed on dotted line and its a valid charge. After just 2 reminders to pay that due bill, i was sent now a collection bill. I will pay that for sure to make sure credit is good but this is UTTER UNETHICAL PRACTICE. NEVER EVER GO THERE. This is unethical. Just because we dont have time, otherwise we would have dragged them to court. May be that $105 is a donation towards their sinking business.

I stopped into this shop to see if they could fix a pair of Rayban Sunglasses. I broke them over a year ago, and had been unable to find anyone who could do the repairs. (screw broke inside a joint, and could not be removed.)I was greeted with professionalism and very attentive service. They went into full surgery to repair my sunglasses, and spent a great deal of time and care doing so. My glasses are good as new, and back in use.Unbelievably, they didnt charge me a thing. Simply requested I consider them next time I get my frames. ...Consider it done. Thanks!

I had been to several optical stores to find the right frames and quality lenses and customer care, to no avail. I went into the Pearle Vision store. It was my first time there. Matthew B. waited on me on what was a stormy winter evening right before closing. He was patient, knowledgeable, professionally friendly, and offered me several options for obtaining new eyeglasses. Fast forward...I returned to Pearle, purchased my new eyeglasses at a reasonable price and when I received them 7 days later, I practically skipped out of the store because my vision was enhanced just that much! So happy that I chose Pearle Vision.PS. Their COVID-19 safety protocol is impeccable.

Amazing customer service from the moment I walked in the door. Then I brought home my reading glasses, sat down in front of my laptop and my vision was blurry because my laptop screen is almost an arms length away. My mistake but Pearle Vision corrected my lenses. No additional charge.

This was my first purchasing experience with Pearle Vision and it was AMAZING! I came in to have some frames adjusted but was a little nervous given the current pandemic. There was no doubt that safety is first in the store and every effort was made to ensure appropriate distancing and cleanliness. This made me more willing to browse (I love glasses almost as much as shoes) and Jennifer was great in helping me to pick some really cool frames that fit my face at a fantastic price. The adjustment worked out perfectly, I got a great new pair of glasses (with a very quick turnaround), and even more importantly, Pearle Vision now has a new customer in me. Thanks for such great service!

I went in for an eye exam. The assistant suggested that I also speak to the Dr. about contact lenses. I had previously had a contact lenses consultation. She said that there were new options to consider. I told her that I was not prepared to pay for such service at the moment. She assured me that because I was getting my eyes checked that it was covered by insurance I asked her to double check. She left the room and came back assuring me it was all covered. I spoke with a very pleasant doctor. I put on a pair of daily contacts. My vision was the same as last year so nothing was altered. When checking out the secretary asked me to pay $160 additional dollars. I was upset and told them that the assistant had assured me it was included. She replied “well it’s not and you owe me $160”. I felt swindled by a staff of apparently has no regard for a persons finances. I will never go there again.Elsa Gonzalez

Ive never used Pearle Vision in the past but my usual optician is on an extended medical leave and I did not care for the covering optician. I am so glad I wandered into a local Pearle Vision. After a thorough and respectful COVID screening process, I was seated at Jennifers station..She was so sweet and knowledgeable, completely professional. I left my Givenchy sunglasses with her to be fitted with new prescriptive lenses. They were completed within the time frame Jen stated. The results are just great. They fit perfectly, the price was fair and I couldnt be more pleased!You have gained a new, returning customer! I must reiterate that my experience was largely due to your optician, Jen. She did give me her business card but I dont have it in my possession at this writing. Hence, apologetically, I cannot refer to her surname in this review.Thank you.Catherine Schenkel Ganpat

I visited the store 9/7/19 looking for frames. I did not visit the store for an exam. Other reviewers provided negative comments on the exam portion but I cannot opine. The staff was welcoming, courteous, and professional. They were helpful with working with my insurance and being transparent about all costs associated with my purchase. From a cost perspective, I could have probably shopped around for better cost of the designer frame I purchased but that isnt the staffs issue. Overall, my experience was pleasant from start to finish. I love my new frames!

I brought my daughter to the East Hanover, NJ location to purchase glasses. We arrived with a script from our optometrist. Elaine found the exact style frame that my daughter was looking for. Elaine was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. Glasses were done in a couple hours. We were both very impressed with the overall selection and service at this Pearle Vision Center.

This was my first visit to a Pearle Vision center. I had such a phenomenal experience at Pearle Vision in East Hanover that I have to leave a review. It started with a really great office staff that were polite and professional. Then the doctor gave me such a thorough examine and helped me find the perfect prescription. The last step was the assistance from the people helping me to find just the right pair of progressives and a pair of sunglasses. They were so patient with me and made sure that I found a pair that fits me and looks amazing. I picked them up today and I am more than happy. They are now my first and only choice for glasses. I would recommend them without any hesitation. Thanks guys, you’re awesome! 😎

This is by far the best Eye Doctor I have ever been too. The staff is phenomenal. They are always very courteous and go out of their way to help you. The doctors are absolutely wonderful as well. I have been going here for three years now and wouldnt think of going anywhere else. Dr. T always gives me such a thorough exam and is very sweet and takes her time to answer any questions that I may have. The staff Darren, Veronica and Sam are great and so very sweet. They always verify my benefits for me and are so prompt in ordering my contacts. They are all such a pleasure to deal with. Thank you guys for all that you do and for going out of your way to help and assist me :):)

I recently had my eyes checked here and it was great! They explained my vision insurance to me and how much everything would cost. My vision plan would have covered the exam with a copay but they unfortunately were out of network with it. I still followed through with the exam out of pocket and I am happy I did.The equipment was state of the art and the eye exam itself was great. The doctor (Dr. Christopher) explained everything to me and made sure to answer all of my questions afterwards. I also had the contact lens exam done, even though I already wear contacts, so I can keep ordering contacts. This is something I guess you have to have done every year whether you wear contacts or not. I was able to order contacts that day and have them mailed to my house.The optical staff (Gary) was very accommodating and helpful. He helped me pick out glasses. I will definitely be returning next year!

I cant say enough about the great experience I had at Pearle Vision in East Hanover this past week (January 2018). The staff was so friendly and helpful in every aspect of the experience: determining my insurance coverage, helping me select frames and suggesting alternatives for me to try on, measuring, fitting, and ensuring that I was completely satisfied with the glasses. I was apprehensive about getting bifocals for the first time, and the wonderful people at Pearle were supportive and caring. Ill never go anywhere else.

I love this location. After having a hard time at the Totowa location I thought Id give this location a shot and Im so glad I did! My frames broke but my lenses that i got a year ago were still ok. I didnt want to spend a lot of money getting both new frames and lenses. The employees there were so patient and spent a good 15 minutes looking at what frames they had that would fit the lenses I had. We finally found one, which they ordered and the frames came in 3 days! Thank you so much for all of your help and making this such an easy process.

The staff at Pearl Vision were extremely helpful in locating glasses for me that were titanium without any nickel. I am very allergic to nickel. I would lithank Energy for calling the companies to check on the materials used in the frames. He was very diligent and called me back several times to report on what he had found.On my next visit when I decided to buy the frames, Catherine was working that day. She was very helpful and spent a lot of time helping me to decide on a frame. It was very much appreciated.Hats off to Energy, Catherine and also to Irina and Jennifer for their kind help and caring attitude.Respectfully submitted.

Very difficult to deal with. I think they did a switcheroo on one of the glasses that I purchased. Straightened it out with manager. You really need to pay attention and get a receipt with the correct stock numbers. Probably would go elsewhere in the future.

I visited Pearle Vision this past Sunday and from the time I walked into the door to the time I left I was happy with my experience. The opthalmologist Dr.C was the best ! She was so personable and down to earth. The PSR I believe her name is Samantha was really sweet and helped me with all my paperwork, didnt get upset when I constantly kept asking questions. The assistant was very nice as he did my eye testing. The staff was all so pleasant. My encounter with Energy was great! he helped me pick out stylish, bold frames. HE has a great eye for style! HE was very patient and I did not feel rushed at all! I think I found a new place for my eye care needs!

Excellent experience at Pearle Vision in East Hanover - walked in with no appointment and was able to get an exam and glasses in under 30 minutes.The staff is curtious, professional, and exceptionally friendly from the front desk to the sales people.I was especially pleased with the level of service from Brittany, Veronica, and Darren. Dr. Tanpattana was great as well!!Highly recommend if youre looking for your next eye exam or glasses to check this place out.

They had the worst service. The doctor was nice, and answered all of my questions, however they charged me $130 for a contact fitting. The contact fitting involved her looking at my old prescription, getting me one lens that was a quarter higher in power for one eye, having me put both in, and that was it. My previous eye doctors never charged me for my contact fitting. To add on, the optician was awful. He was rude and needs a lesson in customer service. He wanted to charge me $50 to measure my papillary distance, a service all other places do for no cost at all. And when I told him that, he kept telling me that he took 3 very expensive exams from the state to get licensed and deserves to be paid. Simply awful. Will never ever go back to Pearle Vision again. Should have trusted the awful reviews I have received from friends and the Internet before I went to them.

The staff of the optometry were very nice. The doctors office accepted us as walk-ins, which I appreciated;however, the eyeglass selection was such a disappointment, the styles were so outdated. I as an adult, nor did my teenager daughters find a pair. When we asked to measure the PD to order on line, I was told an additional $50. What a SCAM. In my opinion this retailer is aware their styles are outdated and this is how they compensate since Im sure most people who get an eye exam do not purchase glasses. In fact their was a guy picking him his RX and said he was ordering on line due to the limited selection. Not sure if he had to pay the $50. Either way...WISH I DIDNT GO THERE FOR AN EXAM DUE TO the ADDED EXPENSE I now I have incur TO HAVE SOMEONE ELSE MEASURE THEIR PD. POOR BUSINESS PRACTIC PEARL. Now its evident why their not as popular as their competitors.

Great customer service. I took my broken Oakley frames (not even purchased from pearle) in because the lens string broke. They re-laced them and tuned them up at no cost. I also got a contact lens exam and it went great!!!

I cannot even begin to describe how disappointed I am with the service that was given to my father-in-law. My husband and I go regularly to this Pearlevision for frames and eye exams and each time; we have had a pleasant experience.My father-in-law was looking to get his current frames fixed up and so I told him to go to Pearlevision. He comes home SO angry and proceeds to tell me that a young lady greeted him when he came in and was very polite -- she told him that she would be able to glue the corner of his glasses, but there would be a little glue on the lens itself. My father-in-law was okay with that and said that he would pay whatever amount needed to get them fixed. The girl told him that it would take about 10 minutes to fix. He asked if he could sit in one of the VERY FEW chairs that they have and she said yes. He sat down and she took the glasses to fix them.A few minutes later an elderly lady came out and very RUDELY spoke to the girl about why my father-in-law was sitting in that chair. Not wanting to cause an issue, my father-in-law got up out of the chair. That lady continued to ask the other girl about why she was trying to fix his glasses and then rudely told him that his glasses werent fixable and sent him off.He comes home, clearly upset that he wasted his time there only be told rudely that he couldnt be helped. I called and ask to speak to a manager. I was then told that his glasses couldnt be fixed using just glue -- if I was told so politely -- why couldnt the same have been told to him?EXTREMELY RUDE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. If anyone goes there -- I do not recommend getting help from Irene or Katherine (those were the names that the manager gave me, but I am not sure if those are their real names of if the manager just made up names to cover for them)

I normally dont go out of my way to write a review unless Ive had a horrible experience, however I only felt it was right to express the wonderful experience I had at this Pearl Vision. To begin, I had my exam done first and the girls at the front desk were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, being sure to answer any questions I had in-full. At the beginning they bring you into a room for pre-screening which I wasnt too familiar with. The girl doing my testing walked me through everything, explaining each machine and what it was used for. After your done, they bring you into the doctors room, where I was greeted by Dr. Christopher who was an absolute sweetheart. Once my exam was done and I got my prescription, a lady out front named Randy went above and beyond in helping me find the perfect frame, while also being completely honest about which ones looked great, and others not so much. I never felt pressured and I never felt as though they were trying to upsell me. This location is by the far the best one Ive been to yet, and I will continue to go to for all of my future exams and glasses!

39 minutes agoWorst experience!! If I could leave a lower rating, I would. I took my very expensive frames there to get new lenses. During my fitting, they broke my frames which were ireplaceable. I was then told that I can pick a free frame off the “cheapest frames in the store section”.Randi Johansen-Lovett, the franchise owner called me and was very confrontational and condoscending before hanging up on me.I would never reccomend a company that does not know how to take care of their customers. Literally laughs at their complaints and hangs up on them. 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻 Five thumbs down!!!#pearlevision

The only reason I came here was because my regular eye doctor was not going to be able to fit me in for my exam for contacts until June, but I am happy with the way things worked out. I was shopping near by and decided to see if they accepted walk ins, and they do!! It only cost me my insurance copays for the exam and the contact lens fit. Dr. Corrente ended up changing me from a monthly lens to a daily lens because of my allergies and now I am way more comfortable in my contacts. With my insurance and the rebates they offer, the contacts cost a lot less than I thought they would. One of the guys working in the optical named, Andre (I think), was super nice and helped me pick out a great pair of glasses and sunglasses. It took me a while to decide but he was very patient with me showing me different types of styles and explaining the add-ons I could incorporate into the lenses and what each one was for. He was very knowledgeable!!! I will be returning next year for my eye exam.
