This place was very quick and effective. The staff was friendly and attentive to me and my car. They ordered me a rental and explained every detail so I could understand. The older gentleman who helped me was very friendly and helped me a lot.

My vehicle was involved in a hit and run, so my insurance provided me with various options for the repair. I had a closer location to choose from, however, the reviews did not convinced me that it was going to be a good place for me. I started my research and although CARSTAR East Hartford was about 30 minutes for me, I decided to bring my car here thanks to the great reviews.And they were not wrong. JP and Dieb are very personable. The service was phenomenal and very quick (it only took like 3 days to repair the whole front of my vehicle). I received daily messages/calls with the progress of the repair which is helpful to have an idea and be able to plan ahead! When I picked up my vehicle, JP walked me through everything as he explained the work done line by line as stated in the receipt/bill.I am very grateful for the service and the easy process. CARSTAR East Hartford has fabulous Customer Service. I submitted photos of the damage on my car late in the evening and by 10:30 the next day a representative of CARSTAR was on the phone with me setting up the schedule for my repair . As it was an insurance claim I knew I was responsible for the $500 Deductible so I did not need more of an estimate as they were an approved Facility by State Farm .CARSTAR communicated with me by text and phone several times before my appointment.After I dropped my car off for repairs I received daily updates on the status of the repairs to my car.I picked up my car today and the repairs to my car were perfect ! You would never know there had been damage to the rear of my car . In addition the inside had been detailed.I will definitely recommend CARSTAR to everyone. They receive a perfect score from me ! They met and exceeded my expectations !

My insurance company recommended this shop for a covered repair. They kept me updated via text and phone calls the entire time and even arranged to have the rental car company pick me up at the shop and return my rental at the end. They also billed my insurance directly and handled all the paperwork. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

WITH ALL DUE RESPECT NOBODY DO BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS AND HERE’S WHY:So I want to make this very clear I will not be returning my vehicle back to you guys and I will be writing a very unpleasant review and will be contacting my lawyer and see what steps I should take with this whole incident because my car is far from normal it does not drive how it was prior to my car accident I was driving home late from work today and it felt very unsafe and the car’s steering wheel was pulling itself and definitely felt like the whole suspension was going to come off the car was very wobbly on straight roads you guys have gave me the run around this past week and mind you you guys had two weeks to fix me car and then come up with the rim issue a day before the car is suppose to be ready and then it gets pushed back why wait till last minute? And then not even update me until I have to physically call myself now this happens I have to take care of the tpms issue on my car myself because it couldn’t get done by 12pm as promised because Phil tells me JP went home early that he “wasn’t feeling well” then when I go and pick up my car yesterday you guys claim to have inspected it inside and out and was 100% problem free I know not one of you guys test driven it because if you guys did you would’ve noticed the pulling issue and how unsafe it is to drive now because of this I need to have time off from work to start looking for another car to finance because this car should’ve been totaled in the first place you guys even said it the first time when you did a first estimate with the damages and total amount it would have costed to repair it would’ve been without a doubt totaled then after that a few days later I call and you take back your first statement and say oh it’s fixable why? because Esurance told you guys it’s fine? Then the final cost of everything is over $7000 and it’s still not totaled? You guys couldn’t even get that number until after you finished my car (which by the way my car still isn’t fixed) which isn’t right if you guys did a deep check and took the time in the beginning you would’ve had that correct amount estimate sooner and it would make sense for it to be totaled I will not take my car back to you guys and someone will definitely be in touch with you guys because this is unacceptable you tell me today when I call you are short staffed and I can’t bring it Monday instead Thursday? That’s not my problem I have a job my car is priority because you guys failed to do it right the first time I don’t not trust you guys to ever touch my car again and I will make sure other people know never to do business with you guys. Also update today they promised me to cover the rental charge because I had to take it back twice to them because they failed to do their job correctly the first time so they told me to bring it back and they will take care of the rental fees come to find out they told hertz they will not be paying and hertz charged me bank $135 and then they lied saying I had the car for 2 days when I only had it for 1 day and when I call Carstar in the morning the first time I called a lady said Doug the owner is in a meeting to call back later and then when I call later another lady answers and tells me Doug is on vacation for a week really??? How convenient lol these guys are a joke and scam artists I will never ever bring my car to them again and recommend nobody else do business with these guys they try to use covid as a excuse to say they are busy and short staffed when it’s really false it seems like as soon as you report a issue to them on something they did wrong they go out their way to make sure you aren’t a priority anymore what a joke these guys are I hope they get shutdown.

I got into a hit and run accident and had damage to my car that needed to be fixed. The insurance company coordinated the repairs with Carstar East Hartford and they did an outstanding job. The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful. They kept me updated throughout the process and finished my car by their estimate date. When I got the car back, the work was outstanding, and the car looks brand new. As a bonus they detailed the car and it smells and looks amazing inside as well! Hopefully I will never be in this situation again, however if I am, I will DEFINITELY go here again. I highly recommend that anyone who needs collision work done on their car works with Carstar East Hartford. You wont be disappointed.

May 2020 had my car detailed here. Everyone was very professional. My car (2011 Honda) was in need of a good cleaning, including mats, rugs, chrome, etc. This was the first time it has ever been detailed. I was very pleased with the result. The interior of the car is now spotless! It is in better shape than when I purchased it (used) about 2 years ago!! The dust and marks on the fabric, leather & rugs are all gone. Looks new inside!! The outside came out great, too. Very shiny. They did the trunk and also under the hood (again, made everything look new)! I will definitely bring my vehicle back to Carstar of E Hartford to be detailed!! Thanks!

I am really dissatisfied with the amount to money it cost to fix my car. My insurance was charged over Five thousand dollars for a dent in my trunk. That’s absurd. I do believe that fraud was committed on behalf of Car Star. I’ve been here numerous times and had no issues but this time, I’m very disappointed and I don’t think I’ll ever use them again for any of my needs.

This review is just based on a phone call. I called to schedule an appointment for repair estimate on my car. The lady on the phone was polite, and was very honest. I was told if they are busy and wouldn’t be able to work on my car until 2-3 weeks later. I didn’t want to wait a long time to get my car repaired, so she saved me the time of going there for the repair estimate.

From start to end, was a great experience. They were able to finish with the repair to my left back side door early, so I got my car 2 days before the weekend! Everyone was very friendly and adhered to COVID-19 safety precautions. Not to mention, my car looked brand new! Thank you.

I have used this body shop 5 or 6 times over the last 20+ years, always excellent!!!!! I recently took my vehicle in for a front fender & front bumper area repair. Everything went extremely smoothly. Office staff and estimate process was quick & efficient. Body shop work & paint are exceptional. They blended the new paint into existing 12 yr old metallic red paint seamlessly. Car was returned a day early; and was washed, buffed out, vaccummed, and all windows cleaned. I would highly recommend this facility to anybody.

Any time a company vehicle needs body work we send them to CARSTAR in East Hartford. Fast, friendly, great results. Weve been using them for many years and while it would be great to never need their services they take some of the hassle out of getting things fixed.

My insurance company recommended me to carstar to have my truck repaired . I’m very pleased with there customer service .they were so friendly .they did a great job repairing my truck they also washed and vacuumed it after the repair was completed .big thanks to Maggie she always kept in contact with me regarding my vehicle. I was not satisfied at all, not happy with what they did to my car and for thst I’ll never recommend anyone there and I’ll never go there again. First thing, these guys are horrible at time estimation because I was pushing back almost 3 weeks because they kept pushing it back at very short notice. One of the reasons why it got pushed back was because they tried to put the wrong bumper on the car. My car came with a sport bumper and they tried to give me the base model bumper, if my fog lights had fit in the cheaper bumper they would’ve given it to me. They tried to give me a white fog light to match my blue one after accidentally dumping out my blue fog light. How can that slip pass the final inspection? that pretty much showed me that they didn’t go over their work in the end. They scratched up the tint on my car because the glass was pressed on the door making it hard to kove up and down so the tint got scratched up in the process. My door never made sounds, they took it off and now it squeaks and makes a knocking sound when you open and close it. I told the guy the car is making a weird sound that it didn’t have before the accident. I had to go back on 3 different occasions and drop my car off to get these issues fixed and at the end they didn’t fix any of my complaints. You would think since I found out they were trying to give me a different bumper because it’s cheaper that they would be nice and fix the issues. I’m left with a $100 bill to replace my tints that they scratched off. I only had a hit in the front so doors and tints shouldn’t have issues. I didn’t want to post anything but I’m really disappointed about the horrible service.

Ive been using this CarStar for a while now, and theyre just great. Ive never had any issues with their work, and theyre always so friendly and willing to help me out with whatever car troubles I have - even small things that they dont charge for. Right now theyre fiddling with my headlights, because they throw out stray light that makes people think Im high-beaming them. They could have said the bulbs only go in one way and theres nothing that could do, but instead theyre at least trying.I highly recommend this establishment!

I had a 2012 Impreza that was rear ended fixed here. It took a little longer than expected, but they took care of the rental. That was good. The quality of repair did not seem good though. Heres why I say that... the seams of the hatch are all uneven. Theres a small bleed on the paint. They didnt put the screws in the wheel well for the bumper. In all, I wouldnt use these guys again.

I got a second opinion after getting an estimate here and ultimately decided to go with carstar, their estimate and work was spot on and in addition to that their customer service went above and beyond. JP specifically dealt with my pickiness with grace and professionalism. He answered every question I had and made sure my needs where met. Would highly recommend them!
