The repairman from Douglas garage doors was professional and worked very quietly and cleaned up after themselves before leaving.It was apparent that they take pride in the service that they provide.He replaced The Spring Torsions on my garage doorWhich one of them was broken.He took time to speak with me about my garage door and it’s condition and what I could expect sometime in the future and operated the door to show that it was in good working condition again once the job was completed and had me to do the same.The door is working perfectly! There were some minor miscommunication between my initial phone call and order, but in the end the item was ordered and when it arrived I was quickly notified and an installation date was selected.The gentleman that arrived was excellent, we talked for a few minutes and then he quickly started the installation process and within 90 minutes the garage door opener was installed and he went over everything with me. All in all it was a great experience and I will use them again if needed and will recommend them to others!

Douglas Garage Doors in East Hartford recently repaired my damaged garage door. Once the parts became available they promptly contacted me and came to do the repairs. The service technician was very conscientious and worked effectively. Once he repaired the door he then helped to adjust cables on a second garage door that needed attention. He they helped to program the remote door openers. I felt the price was very fair and overall I was very satisfied.

The initial call was polite and quick. Steve came out to analyze the problem (a spring had sprung) and put my mind at ease by saying that we did not need a new door, which I thought we might. Two days later Matt the repairman arrived, checked out the garage saying it wouldnt take long - and it didnt! Dont hesitate to call them, and dont try to fix it yourself if your hands and fingers are important to you! Call them - I see their trucks all over the place and I understand why - theyre good at what they do and fair-priced as well!

Douglas Garage Door came quickly, their technician was courteous, professional and expedient. Additionally, he came to the door masked up and ready to get to the job done. He repaired what didnt need replacing, replaced what was beyond repair and did so quickly (they get paid by the 1/2 hour). He explained what was done, oiled the system and showed me it was working properly before he left. All of that sounds obvious but it is not always the case with every contractor. I could pay him or call it in - whatever was most convenient for me as the customer. Douglas Garage Door definitely earned this 5 STAR rating. I would absolutely recommend them.

A representative of Douglas Doors came to my house immediately to fix a broken door. He was very friendly, wore a mask, and fixed the door quickly and for a reasonable price. He also gave me tips on how and when to oil the pulleys on the door to make sure it lasted. I would definitely recommend them for your garage door needs.

Honestly, worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. They gave me a quote on October 2020 and I called Anthony about the work order like 3 times. He put me off said a part was being ordered and would be in the following week. Ok this is end of February... I’ve called so many times. STILL nothing. I just spoke to the office after he didn’t return 2 of my last phone calls.. they see no work order, no part being ordered. This customer service is just horrendous. I was so nice and gracious and really wanted to use their services, Anthony just put me off and let it go And didn’t help me at all or even call me back to just say hey we’re not doing it . I am so disappointed.

I have used Douglas Garage for many years. They have replaced my doors and installed and repaired my openers. Always prompt and does the job!

They came durning regular business hours. But nickel and dime you. They sprayed the tracks and gears, charge was $10.00 you can buy a can of spray for $5.00 and will now spay every 3 months myself. Silicone spay.

Also, when my house generator backfired and damaged several items in my home, they quickly replaced the garage door motor so I could get in/out of my garage again! Called for an emergency repair for garage door. The sprocket assembly was shot. The receptionist Samantha was very efficient and actually thought it might have been the sprocket and assured me the tech would have it on the truck. Mike the technician showed up about 2 hours after the call which was very fast. Did great job, lubed the door assembly and even pointed out and replaced hinge . Will keep this company as my go to for garage repair.

My initial installation and cost was very reasonable and I was very happy. I recently had an issue with the door and the motor that required reprogramming, this took all of 5 minutes and I could have done this with someone walking me through it over the phone, instead a tech came to the house, pushed a button a couple of times and then charged me over $100. After which I asked, Am I really paying over $100 and something dollars for you to show up and push a button? His reply was: Nope, your paying over 100 for me just to say hello. Needless to say, I was very happy with the service, until this. I felt the cost for that visit was extremely unreasonable. Everyone is very nice and accommodating, except for that....

Douglas Garage Door Center addressed all concerns - slight adjustment needed to account for the thickness of the new door vs. the old - but taken care of by Douglas in a timely manner - lowering the door assembly to gain more clearance.If / where door is being replaced next to a neighbors (E.g. Townhouse / condominium), be wary to double check the colors and the manufacturers of the neighboring doors. Not all manufacturers will appear the same.

Douglas Doors has Amazing Customer Service. I called last week asking them to come to my home to check my garage door alignment and to determine how to repair scratches that were left after our crumbling foundation was recently replaced. Douglas Doors determined I was mistaken and had not bought my garage doors from them. Even so, they willingly came to my home, free of charge, to look at my scratched garage door. They ordered me touch up paint to match my door and offered to drop it off next week! All this and I didn’t even buy my garage doors from them! The company my husband did buy the doors from had no interest in coming to my house unless I paid $85! That company never called me back when I asked to have a manager call me. I appreciate Douglas Doors going the extra mile! I would highly recommend this company. My next set of doors will definitely be from Douglas.

He called back and told me his worker will be at my home between 7:30 and 9 a.m. Keith sowed up, very friendly,told me step by step what he is going to do, he got to work and he explain step by step what he was doing.he found the problem.
