I would recommend this Monro location. One of my brakes was completely frozen and they took the time to explain the problem, show it to me, and consider my options. The prices quoted were on the lower end of what I could find online for the parts/labor for each task.

Hi, I had an oil change today, as its fully synthetic, was kinda high for me, but I guess thats synthetic.Mark Cole, I actually met prior to today, when the computers were down due to a possible tornado, that shut down the cables. He was waiting outside, very apologetic and friendly, I observed at that time a cleaner, more organized shop, upon return, he remembered me, I think over a week later, and helped me as the last customer of the day. Marks personality remained the same, upbeat, and helpful, he is proud of the work in progress, getting this shop up to Monroe and his standards, I especially liked his, by the book attitude! Well done!!!The new employee, James Handy, I observed that he took direction well from Mark, who assisted in the oil change, it appeared that they worked well together and he was very pleasant when he had difficulty resetting the main oil rating to 100%, I found out how to do this and showed him, he appeared happy to learn. Overall, a great experience and I thank, Mark, James and Monroe for this experience.This message is for Ken, please note that coming up the hill on route 80, the Monroe sign, has been 3/4s blocked off by your new parts store signage. I personally think, a higher on a pole sign for both directions would help being drowned out. I truly hope that youll consider this, even, putting a pole on the roof, but a stand alone would look better, and if possible, add lighting, as in the fall and winter and part of spring, its dark, and a lit sign would look sharp.Ken and your family and all at Monroe, please remain healthy and happy. We have been taking our cars here for years, and we have always had a good experience. We noticed for a while that there were a lot of changeover with management, although ever since Mark got here it’s been even better. He remembers us every time, and it’s a pleasure to work with him. He always honest, and we trust him with our vehicles. Highly recommend for anything your car may need.

The service was friendly and fast. 38 bucks for a tire patch was on the extreme side. The manager there was extremely friendly and helping.

I realized that I was coming due for an oil change, and it turned out this was exactly the place that I needed. The manager, Mark, was able to get me in fairly early in the day. Upon I arrival I was told that there might be a longer than average wait due to being a bit short-staffed that day - and after that helpful heads up, I was still all set with my car in exactly the amount of time I had expected. From the quick start to end, everyone was friendly and transparent. Could not have asked for a better experience!

The staff are very friendly and honest. I had tire insurance and life service tire repair for free and I didn’t even know until the manager informed me when I pulled out to pay. Fast, quick and great service!!!

I had my sons car serviced there. They did the front brakes, rotors, and calipers. They finished the job in three hours. They even gave us a ride home. The driver was a very friendly person. They have a forever customer here.

Poor experience and understaffed - 2.5hrs for tire rotation and oil change after setting an appointment time the morning of.This was a Sunday, so possible that staffing is better during the week.Overall seems to be a poorly run shop - take your business somewhere else if you can.

I recently had an overall EXCELLENT experience at this location!! I walked in this past Sunday, day before the HUGE snowstorm, with a completely flat tire. At my wits end had no idea of what I was going to do as was just hoping it was a matter of putting air in the tire but I had just tried that at local gas station and that wasnt working! Service Manager Jody Weinand greeted me to only advise that there were 3 people ahead of me & he would try to fit me in and help me out but was also down by 1 service tech. So with that I took a huge breath & said, YES I will wait it out! And so glad I did! It was determined that most likely I needed a new tire which I kind of knew in my head and Jody was able to show me the different tires available for my 2011 Cadi. And come to find out, purchased 4 new tires all at once since that was the WAY to GO!! Not only was Jody so thorough in helping me choose a set of tires, he put my mind at ease with the whole process!! I left my car behind not really knowing when the tires would be coming in since again a huge snowstorm was to hit that night & into the next few days! Jody kept me apprised of my outcome each & every step of the way and even better, the tires were delivered the very next day on Monday SNOW STORM & ALL!! It was BEYOND believe!! But it happened, tires were installed right away & they were kind enough to keep my car there the next few days until I could get back in there to pick her up!! Again, I cant say ENOUGH of the kindness & compassion I experienced and the thoroughness of all involved including the Serv. Techs! And putting my mind at ease was the biggest thing in making such a big purchase. Knowing all of that & protecting my purchase was very helpful and that was thankfully all due to Jody doing what he does BEST, helping others while in distress!! SO A BIG HUGE THANK YOU to Jody Weinand and service techs for ALL that you DO!! I will most definitely make this place my CHOICE of places to go for ANY of my vehicles needs! Was very pleased with oth this shop and the new manager that helped me. Both the quality of work and the time it took to complete fixing both my rim and tire were great. The manager was very professional and went a ove and beyond to make sure I was happy with the service I was getting. A few weeks ago, I went in to get my brakes checked because although Im no expert, I was sure I needed new brake pads. I walked in to someone at the front desk that greeted me very professionally. We had a short conversation about my vehicale and away it went. I sat in the waiting area cringing at how much it would cost to have what I was hoping just brake pads and not rotors and pads. The gentleman came back and said, there is nothing wrong with your brakes, you are all set. I was pleasantly surprised since businesses such as this have been stereotyped as being places that try to rip you off and take your money. They could have easily told me I needed new rotors and/or brakes, but they didnt, so I was impressed by their actions; I would do business with them again in the future.Thanks Monro

The quick spoiler review is that the service at Monro is exemplary and that I would highly recommend anyone to take their car there.The long story is that the customer service is unparalleled! My mother, who speaks little English, took her newly purchased used car for a free courtesy inspection and Eric helped her out with incredible patience, honesty, and kindness. When I doubled back to clarify the diagnostics he had given her, Eric was once again patient in relaying the information back to me. He gave me great advice for what to say to the dealership and I felt confident going back to point out all the services they should do before selling my mother the used car. Without going to Monro and speaking with Eric, our car purchase would have been a nightmare! Aside from the free courtesy inspection, I always go to Monro to get my oil changed. The associates are always friendly and punctual.

Could not have asked for a better experience. Made an appointment over the phone to get all 4 tires replaced. Found a special on the website for buy 3 get 1 free, and Mark had no problem honoring that when I came in. Upon arriving, he was extremely personable and never had a problem explaining things to me as I know nothing about cars. He worked with me to get everything into my budget when an issue with my brakes came up. They have gained me as a customer for all of my car servicing from here on out. They even have pretty good magazines to read while I waited for my car to be done lol. Thanks Monro!

I had an appointment today to inspect/repair two of my tires in addition to an oil change. Mike was the employee who performed these services on my Honda Civic. He was incredibly helpful, courteous and timely in his work. Mike kept me in the loop about everything he worked on as well as any areas of concern related to the health of my car. He also went above and beyond the outlined tasks my car was billed for by checking my battery cables and brakes. He tightened the bolts securing my battery in place because I expressed some concern about it to him. Overall, my experience went better than expected. Id absolutely recommend to anybody needing work done for a reasonable price. Ill definitely come back for future visits. -- Matt

Great staff. I went there 2 days ago to get a tire changed and explained to the manager Mike that I was in a hurry and needed to be out asap. He was able to accommodate me and also helped me along with the mechanic Tom with some other questions I had regarding a sound my vehicle was making. They were very upfront and honest and gave great advice. Will definitely be going back.

Radiator started steaming on the way to work due to a leak. Stopped by after work to see if they could look at it if I left it. They looked while I waited but werent sure right away if it was definitely the radiator. They kept it overnight to let it cool down. The next morning they called to let me know it was indeed the radiator (didnt want to sell me one if that wasnt the issue..REALLY APPRECIATED THAT!!!). I got a deal because I was a repeat customer though. They had it ready by the time I got out of work. Friendly, helpful people. What more can you ask for?

I stopped in here to get the wheels balanced on my car and left impressed with their knowledge, quality of work, and professionalism. They did more than I would expect and took it upon themselves to take the extra steps in making sure not to damage my aftermarket wheels or car in any way. This location is under new management and has a completely new staff running the show now, highly recommend!

Mike was extremely kind and helpful during my appointment. My car was slow to start and he tested the battery, replaced the terminals, and cleaned and sealed it all free of charge. His level of customer service is unparalleled.

I went for an oil change and the price set 1999 I also asked for new in show waivers the price of the entire thing was 86 dollars with no explanation. This is what I call price gouging. He went over everything and explained what services I should get by the manufacturers guide and also what he recommended from his experience. They even had a movie playing for us. Great service.

Ive been getting my oil changed here for years. Went in today and met the newest manager, Eric, who was definitely a people person! He was warm, welcome, and honest. I observed him on the phone explaining to a woman that he did not have anyone at the shop who could properly fix what was wrong with her car (the brake line). He warned her about other mechanics overcharging and causing more problems. My oil change itself was quick, 30 minutes in and out.

Good and honest staff. Eric and John worked on my car and performed brake inspection for me. Very professional and welcoming. Kept me informed with updates via phone. Would recommend to all.

I recently visited Monro Mufflers in East Haven CT via a friend’s referral as my check engine light had just gone off and I didn’t know where to begin repair wise. Upon arrival to the garage I was greeted by Leighton and staff who took my car in a timely manner and hooked it up to diagnostics giving me a rundown of what the issue was, they were very informative and helped me resolve the issue as well as ensure that my oil levels were topped off all for a fair price. I would highly recommend this location and will be returning myself for future service.

I had my breaks done here and was very pleased, The price was competitive and the work satisfactory. It was also very handy that they are open Sundays and Holidays, (they did mine on Labor Day). Thats worth 3.5-4 stars but what really set them apart from the competition and made this a 5 star experience was their manager, Dave, who went above and beyond. I went to night drop it 2 hours after close and he was still and checked me in. When they service it they saw Id forgotten to put the tire socket in the truck, so they sent someone out to pick it up. And when I was having trouble finding ride when it was done, he offered to send someone for me. I also appreciated that he was super proactive, he called to let me know when it was done, etc. I didnt have to do any follow up. It was really top notch service and it was appreciated.

I dropped off my car about 12-noon. I told them that I believe I need new brakes, pads and possibly rotors. I asked if my car would be repaired by close of the following day. They could not say since they had not inspected the car. I asked if it would be ready assuming it needed all that I mentioned. They could not say. I asked if they were booked up today and tomorrow. They would not say. I asked if they would be able to inspect the car today. He stopped answering.Update: 3.5 hrs later my husband called to see if the car had been inspected. Not only had it not been inspected but the employee became angry when asked as to the status. My husband and I have opted to pick up the car and bring it to a real repair center.

I went there for a change of oil because I saw their sign by the road saying $24.99 for the change. They charged me $44.33 instead and told me that the price on those signs is not right anymore ( and yet they still use them for advertisement).Secondly, I had an appointment and it still took over an hour to make the change when it usually takes about 30 min. Whats the point of doing appointments if you end up taking so long anyway?

Leighton took my car in and changed the oil for free because the west haven location had overfilled at my last oil change.He also diagnosed a noise my car was making and explained the issue thoroughly.He was very helpful and courteous. Would recommend!

Came in for a simple oil change, and the staff exceeded my expectations. I told Mike the assistant manager about a few other minor problems my car was having and he went above and beyond in addressing them. Monro Auto demonstrated excellent customer service and I will definitely be back.

I recently moved to town and was unsure of where to go. Decided to come to Monro because it was close to my house and some people recommended it to me. I went to get my oil change without an appointment and they took me right in. Mike, was able to explain to me the health of my care and thoroughly explain what they look for and ask permission to rectify a problem if needed, the check list, as well as can give you an idea of how much it will cost so you are not blindsided. Tom was also great! He replaced my battery and rechecked everything needed. Guys are truly trustworthy. Will be back again for my next oil change.

Have had my oil changed and tires rotated on both of our cars a few times now and Leighton is always nice and attentive. I made an appointment for this last oil change and was in and out in 30 minutes. But it only takes about an hour if you just walk in. The waiting room needs some music playing in the background-maybe smooth jazz-as its dead silent and the bathroom could use a soap dispenser and paper towels but other than that, you cant beat the price and the service is outstanding. Will be back!

Went in for an oil change a few days ago, which included a very thorough and complimentary safety inspection. They found a potentially dangerous leaking and rusted brake line. I came back today to get the line replaced, the cost was reasonable and again they were very thorough in making sure the brake system was sound and working properly before I drove away. My one suggestion is to make an appointment, they were very busy and I noticed they had to turn a couple of walk-in customers away.

Front brake repair. Service was done in two hours with a steady stream of walk-ins and only two guys working. Eric was direct and only fixed that which was needed. So for brakes and rotors the bill just over $600.

Both managers were professional, courteous and thorough upon my appointment for an oil change. They were informative and helpful. Also, they made sure they used floor mats and seat covers so the interior of the car would not get soiled. Excellent service.
