Do not use this pharmacy. They will literally kill you.Need your SSRI refilled? Oh, the app wont work. Call and ask for a refill? Oh, we dont have that in stock, it will take multiple days to arrive.Save yourself from a medical emergency and find a different pharmacy.Theyve been doing this to me for years, but switching seemed overly complicated. After this week, a delayed two day refill and two days without my SSRI, Ill be making the switch, no matter how complicated it is, because anything has to be better than this pharmacy.
I am astounded at the many negative reviews of this pharmacy. I have a complicated medical history and require many scripts. With very few exceptions, all of my needs have been met for over 5 years. I left Kroger and Walgreens because I found myself in battles with them regarding insurance, refill dates, etc. ALL THE TIME. Meijer Lake Lansing has not been perfect, but in today’s phenomenally complicated health care systems, who could be?? I’m happy here.
If they got anything right I would be shocked!! Terrible pharmacy! They say rxs are ready, but they rarely are, automatic refill doesnt work right-even when you have an employee do it on their end, long wait time... Avoid this pharmacy if possible!
This place has been the worst experience of my life! I have chronic health issues and for the past year I have had so many issues with this pharmacy its not even funny. Trying to get something refilled? Ya their system doesnt work so good luck with that!! They will tell you it will be ready in an hour then its not ready in an hour and a half and they will tell you it will be ready tomorrow after waiting days for a dire need medication that keeps you out of the hospital. Thanks meijer pharmacy, yall suck!
Worst customer service I have ever experienced dropped my husbands prescription off after surgery they told me 30 mins I come back to pick it up 3 hours later and they didn’t have a script (they lost it) I come into the store and eventually they found it. Took another 30 mins to fill it. They said they couldn’t bill the insurance paid the cash price. Call the insurance they tell me there’s no problem with the insurance and his medication should be covered. Call them back and they said the insurance doesn’t cover the generic they dispensed me?!? Soooo why didn’t you give me what insurance covered??Result I transferred my whole family’s scripts out of this awful place. And sad part is this is not first time this has happened!!!
On the one hand, it sometimes takes them a day or two to get my (very common) medicine in stock. On the other hand, from what Ive seen waiting in line, their overworked staff has the patience of saints.
Unprofessional. Unhelpful. Rude. Pharmacists would not tell me the cost of meds when insurance did not cover when I wanted to purchase. Another prescription on backorder and was told it wasnt known when more would be in and that I couldnt get mine till 3 others were served it. It was suggested I find another product in the store in the meantime and was not told when the pharmacy closed. I came back to a closed pharmacy and left with no meds. Horrible, horrible service.
Pergatory should take notes on this place.Wait lines are a half hour and easily, and they dont have the rx ready when you get there. And when you question why its not ready even though the automated system texted to say it was ready. The pharmacist should be sacked.
Horrible wait, rude staff.I signed up for text alerts for my medications. I recieved a text that two prescriptions were ready to pick up. Knowing that they arent the number one pharmacy, I call in advance before I leave. The lady on the phone asks me to hold for a minute. 10 minutes go by and then the line goes dead. I decide to drive the 2 miles because they must be ready if I got the text, right? NOPE! After waiting 45 minutes, the snarky lady at the widow tells me that I was late picking them up and that she put them back on the shelf. At this point I suggested that because there was no one behind me in line, that I would just wait until she refilled them. Another 30 minutes go by, and she brings me a PARTIAL of ONE of my scripts and says the other one cant be filled. Needless to say, I gave her a few choice words (she just smirked, she knew she was being unresonable) and then transfered all my prescriptions to the bath meijer. Havent been happier with my service there.
This pharmacy is chronically understaffed they have all sorts of really easy to solve problems because of this. If you have something important don’t send it here.
I transferred my prescriptions there a couple months ago, due to how close they are to my home. They have screwed up my prescriptions multiple times in this short period. They keep ringing them incorrectly giving me the wrong dosages, and the brand name. Both my doctor and I have repeatedly ask for the generic. They’ve tried charging me over $1,000 multiple times for my $5 prescriptions. The pharmacist argued with my over the phone saying my prescription has never been covered, that they’ve done everything right, stating I must be mistaken and how they can’t help me. I called both my insurance and looked through my insurance app to find that they are in fact still ringing in my prescriptions wrong. They’ve taken over two weeks to try and process a prescription that took two days at another pharmacy. In this processing time I had to go without my medication. Since then I have transferred my prescriptions to a more capable pharmacy.
Very rude team. Meijer Lake Lansing is excellent but the pharmacy is completely different. They are not helpful and friendly.
I would give negative stars if I could. Not only is the staff rude and act like disrespectful school children, they are completely incapable of doing their jobs. Without fail, they severely mess up my prescriptions every time, leaving me to have to wait usually 3-5 more days to get my meds. Miraculously when they do things correctly, it’s because I have to walk them through how to do their job since they clearly don’t know what they’re doing. Literally the worst business I have ever had to deal with. I only went here because of the MPerks benefits (getting like $10/20 coupon every 5 prescriptions) but it is not worth it by a long shot. I would rather sit in a pool of acid than have to ever deal with these people again.
Not sure why they received low ratings but I guess people rarely bother unless they are annoyed. Employees have always tried to help no matter what my situation. I like getting a text when prescriptions are ready and texts when necessary medications are due to be refilled. There systems have had some problems and I’ve been frustrated at times but they always try to help. They don’t deserve one star ratings. I will say this is a particularly busy pharmacy so you often have a wait. That’s annoying but it’s more convenient for me than other meijer buildings.
I’m sitting here with melting frozen food waiting to get a prescription filled. I was told it would be ready in a couple of hours. I waited, went to the store, shopped and gave them over three hours… Wait in the pharmacy line for about another 15 minutes and finally I’m told they haven’t even filled it yet! It will be a few more HOURS because they are understaffed with no one to fill scripts. After I complain, I’m told they can get it to me in 20 minutes. This will actually be closer to 35 or 40 minutes because I have to get back in the pharmacy line. I’m cool if they’re behind, but don’t tell me somethings going to be ready in two hours and it’s actually going to be ready in five hours. AVOID! I’m right by the pharmacy right now and every 2 out of 3 people are having the same issue.
I was having problems with my insurance accepting my prescription because of a mix up and Sami J worked with/for me for hours to try and clear it up. I’m so grateful for her dedication to helping me when saying “Sorry, don’t know what else to do” would of be easier. A+++ employee!
My 2-year old was supposed to be on antibiotics for 10 days, however, after 7 days it was gone. I gave her the exact amount I was supposed to for every dose and she took every dose without spitting it out. Every other pharmacy gives a few extra doses because toddlers are known to spit it out. Not this place, I didnt even get the amount she was prescribes. I guess they just want my toddler to be sick. I was told I needed to talk to a pharmacist but could never get in touch with them. This place is awful!! If you need a prescription after normal hours go to Sparrow.
Terrible experiences. Have been here to refill my prescription a couple of times, they are never on time. Though I called them before coming here to confirming my prescription is ready to pick up, I came here and wait on seat for 1 hour. If you are busy and do think your time is valuable, maybe think about somewhere else.
They are always very rude to me. Idk if itd cause I have tattoos or what the reason is but Im definitely disappointed they are the 24hr pharmacy. Never have I had a good experience here.
I have waited on this review for quite a few months because I wanted to see if I had a one off experience or if this Pharmacy is consistently slow and makes mistakes frequently. Its unfortunate that the latter is true.My wife and kids have filled around 10 prescriptions here in the past year and every (literally every) time we pick them up we are waiting at least 15 minutes because only one register is opened or they are understaffed. It doesnt matter the day or time you go there, anytime before 10pm they take forever. Additionally, when my son first got put into the system they put another childs name with the same birthday on MY insurance. The childs name sounded nothing like my childs name, but that didnt stop the tech from doing it anyway. It took 3 separate trips to the pharmacy for them to fix that error. And even after the second trip I still got texts for prescriptions for a child that is not mine. Furthermore, my wife has asked numerous times to be added to the text list for prescriptions, but I am still the sole contact.I can only attribute these errors to lack of training and management. They should have more people work to prevent these things, but never have.
Doctor e-scribed med @ 8:09 a.m. At 9:12 a.m. I stood in the pick up line while observing a tech working on some sort of schedule. Eventually she made her way over and asked for all my personal information, while another shopper was standing right there. She was extremely rude, and proceeded to let me know the prescription was not even filled yet, but not before she went and made some more changes to the paper schedule she had been working on previously. She had me go take a seat while they got that ready for me. There was nothing busy about the pharmacy at all. I try to be understanding, but this was not a pleasant experience whatsoever.
Its a pharmacy inside of a grocery store. If youve been to one youve been to them all.
I chose to get a script at this location because my 4 month old was ill with a nasty skin rash and fever and he needed two prescriptions. One prescription they had on hand, the other they had said was out of stock, but would be their the next day and would be ready a little after one, 4 oclock rolled around and had not received my text so I called them. I spoke to a tech that said we have it, give us about 20 minutes and it will be ready, after work I went over to grab it which was around 6, when I went to the window I talked to another tech he said that it would be about 15-20 minutes before it was ready, I said no problem. 30 minutes goes by and I go back to the window and Spoke to another tech and the gal said its going to be another half hour, at this point Im getting a little irritated but still I said no problem miss thank you, I grabbed dinner, went home and fed my family. After dinner I got two messages from the pharmacy saying it would be ready, so just in case I call them and the woman on the phone said they were out of stock and wouldnt be getting any of what my son needed until the 27th, I told her I had talked to three different people one saying it would arrive today, the other two saying it would be ready soon, she responded with nope dont have it, and they wouldnt tell you we did if it was out of stock, and before I could start ranting a little she said thanks for calling and hung up, at this point Im getting really upset, called back ask for a manager immediately and the person I spoke to said I know why youre calling then put me on hold, answered the phone took my sons info then on hold again, answered the phone once more and lone behold had one single bottle hanging out somewhere with someone. I may have sworn at someone on the phone hung up drove the 30 minutes back to that meijer because its 24hr and I need my sons meds, collected myself, got his meds, apologized for swearing at a tech and left. Im grateful I was able to get what we needed but at the same time am wondering why it was such a cluster for them
Never have had positive experiences at a Meijer pharmacy. Im angry I have to use them because I work for Meijer. They take days to fill a prescription, call you to say its ready and then fill it 30-45 minutes later when you try to pick it up. I think its a tactic to get you to shop more while you wait for something they said was done. The other problem is that they have put the prescription back. Before you can pick it up after the lying texts and phone calls telling you its ready its gone. I actually have an extra child because they put my wifes birth control pills back. No regrets there, just stating a fact!
Meijer pharmacies in general leave a lot to be desired in terms of quick and friendly customer service. I used to get all of my family’s prescriptions filled here but after they slashed the pharmacy rewards there really wasn’t much keeping me there as a customer. They have the longest wait times of all of their competitors and probably the least friendly/helpful staff around.I can walk into Walgreens with a new prescription, have it filled and be on my way in under 20 minutes every time, same with Rite Aid. That is never the case at Meijer though. It’s always a minimum of 30 minutes, usually longer. The 24hr pharmacy at the Lake Lansing road location is probably the worst. More than once have I been in there in the middle of the night and had to wait an hour or more for one prescription. It’s just frustrating to have to wait that long when no one else is there pickings up prescriptions during that time. I do understand there are other order they have to fill but it seems like the people there waiting in store at 1am should take priority over filling thing for those who are not there waiting.
They always give me hassle to fill my prescriptions. If its not one thing its another but then the next time its smooth. The rules ever change and some say its this way others say no problem. They never have any of my very common meds in stock and seems they make up rules as they go. We have been going there for 3 years and I will be going to a different pharmacy from now on.
Pharmacists are incapable of adhering to post-dated prescriptions, they try and fill multiple of the same medication, which gets rejected by insurance and then deletes the prescriptions from the user profile, meaning I have to go back to my doctor to have them resend scripts which takes another 48-72 hours. I’m switching pharmacies and encourage others to do the same. The incompetence is mind numbing.
Worst pharmacy I’ve ever used. They do not have the proper systems or management in place to deal with the volume of business they do. They do not care about the well being of their customers. You get a different story and set of rules from each different tech. Prescriptions are never ready when they say they will be. Most (not all) of the techs are rude and have no concept of customer service.
PRETTY SAD NOT 24 HOURS ANYMORE!!!! I’ve always been satisfied here! The app can be a little strange sometimes but that’s technology for you. If you pay attention to what the phone call or messages say then there isn’t normally any issue. Seems like a lot of nit picking, if you don’t like them then there are plenty of other places to go.( Maybe if people weren’t such impatient gems they would have continued to be 24 hours! Guess you’ll have to get your emergency meds filled in south Lansing now! (So ridiculous!!! )
This pharmacy is notorious for long lines and not having your prescription ready. It doesnt matter when I submit the prescription 7/10 times I go to pick it up I have to wait extra. The automated system will tell me it will be ready three-five hours after I submit the request. I can show up twelve to twenty four hours later and still end up waiting. The system clearly needs work and is very frustrating. The worst part is they dont notify you if they dont have the prescription in stock or only a partial refill. You can show up expecting your much needed medication, only to find they dont have it. If this pharmacy wasnt incredibly convenient to get to and 24 hours, I would use a different one in a heartbeat.
PATHETIC. I’ve visited this pharmacy a number of times at various hours of operation... including 4:00 AM when there were two techs, one pharmacist and no other customers waiting. It still took over an hour to fill a single prescription. Then just tonight they decided to fill a script for my husband immediately, instead of asking for our up to date insurance information... then after I provided the information, I didn’t have my husband’s ID so I couldn’t even pick the medication up. What I did pick up was practice Lly thrown at me on the counter in a bakery bags instead of a pharmacy bag. What the hell are they even doing there half the time?
There are so many nicer pharmacies in the area, do not go to this one. Ive never had a pleasant experience after going here for 6 months. They recently did not have a prescription refilled for me after requesting it over a week ago!
Waited in drive thru line for over 45 minutes to get a simple prescription filled. The staff were really nice and worked very hard for being dangerously short staffed.
I came here to check the reviews because I always give people benefit of doubt. Just thought may be it was an isolated issue. But looks like it’s not. Over 24 hours and they still didn’t have meds ready. Went to go pick it up they said they were backed up and it will ready in 2 hours. Go back in 2 hours they still hadn’t started. After 2 min long internal conversation she came back and said it will be another 15 mins or so lol. Not the tech’s fault but I have never had a pharmacy that has failed to fill meds in over 24 hours. Never! If they were out they would tell you. Joke!
Always late. They call to tell us medication is ready while it is not ready. Staff generally rude and not friends with customers. We only go there because they are close to my house.
I used to LOVE coming to this pharmacy. After dealing with a lack of expediency with Sparrow, and constantly changing close times with the Frandor Walgreens, we thought we had finally found a solution. However, in the last two months, Lake Lansing has gone from consistent 5 star service to 2 star. 4 times in the last 6 weeks we have gotten messages that our meds were ready...only to get there and find out they had not even qued them. Then they blame it on a call center that must have called us accidentally, or put in an unrealistic turnaround time. I do not know why their service has tanked so bad, but they need to figure it out.
I shop here all the time with Shipt for my customers and have a nice selection of foods.
Make sure you get the right number of your prescribed pills because they will short you and then try to charge you the full amount for the pills they missed. 👎
Terrible incompetent pharmacy. They consistently dont have prescriptions ready when theyre supposed to be, get information wrong and most recently told me my insurance wasnt valid (it was) so I wasted a trip and had to have my insurance provider call them. This is not limited to this location, either- the W. Saginaw location is even worse with long wait times added to the mix. That store also managed to somehow create a second account for me leading to endless mixups until the Lake Lansing store finally figured it out. I switched to Meijer pharmacy because of the free metformin but it just isnt worth all the headaches. Ill be transferring my scripts back to my previous pharmacy.
Slooooow service. Rude staff. Communication between staff nonexistent. There are so many other choices in the area.
This is by the far the worst pharmacy I have ever dealt with. These people have o idea whats going on - its the same issue every month. I hate this is the only place I can get this RX - they all need more training! They call me ALL the time that RX is ready so I drive 25 miles each way only to find out the system is wrong - and RX not ready, they bill wrong insurance, blah, blah, blah - and to top it off their RUDE. Pharmacy employee actually cussed and swore at me, I did reach out to store manager to handle it.
Called to ask a question about my prescription, the lady put me on hold 3 times to ask what time it would be done...which was not my question?! Then she finally told me it will be an hour and a half i said well ok but that wasnt my question... I aaked her if i could change my tablets to liquid form and she said i dont think so...so i was pretty sure ive done it before so i told her and she very rudely went and asked and came back with saying we cant give you liquid here anyway...overall super rude and didnt care whatsoever....
Its always something with these people. I can never just go there and get my meds. Its shouldnt be this hard every time, either they dont bill my insurance correctly or suddenly its not on my profile after giving it to them on my previous visit. Sometimes the phone will just ring and no one picks up the phone. I dread when it comes time to get my meds because I have to interact with these people. Theyre also at times very rude, or have some attitude.
Fast service good/honest advice. Saved $40 by buying OTC instead of my prescription
They always provide great service and are super friendly. I dont know what these other people are saying
I cant believe this pharmacy only has 2 stars. Theyre open 24 hours!! They operate exactly as other meijer pharmacies, Ive never had an unusually long wait, theyre kind and helpful over the phone, everything I need from a pharmacy. Hopefully the bad reviews on here are outdated.
Very rude act like Im a bother
Very polite and knowledgeable.
Worst pharmacy! Leave a message saying prescription is ready and i get there and then they say it will be an hour! Never give me all of my prescriptions.
Whats the point of the text notifications on timing when you are HOURS after Im suppose to have my prescription.
Someone waiting in store for a script should not have to wait and hour and a half for it to be filled. Not to mention the attitude you get from a tech.
Horrible pharmacist, very rude, hung up on me.
Prescription is never ready when the automated system says it will be. Has happened several times in a row now, thus me finally leaving this review.
Worst pharmacy. I only go here because its open 24 hours but it takes 5 days from when I request a refill to when its finally ready.
Everyone is right. They dont have prescriptions ready in a timely fashion.
This is the WORST PHARMANCY EVER.... I only gave it a star so I could post this...
Just like other Meijer. Ok.
Always slow, even when you call ahead.
The pharmacy is terrible, my prescriptions are never ready when they say they are, saying they were filling things and when I go to pick them up they tell me its not covered after already telling me it was and theyd have it ready in some odd minutes.
Very helpful
Probablems resolved
Friendly, helpful, timely
Absolutely awful website
