We are really pleased with the Riverside Bike Shop the staff is very knowledgeable we really enjoyed Pat and the other employees they let you try out the bikes to see if theyre comfortable. we purchased a used ebike and now we also purchased a new e-bike hopefully we can get it before we leave town. I would highly recommend this store

I’ve been very pleased with services from Riverside, tube replacements and tuneups mostly. They are always friendly and offer quick but thorough service. Sales and repair staff have been honest and not pushy about extra work or more expensive gear. Overall I recommend Riverside and will be back this season for new tires and a yearly tuneup.EDIT: The quality of this business has dropped sharply. I can no longer expect the kind of customer and repair service I had experienced in the past. 1. Workers have been extremely rude to me the last few times I have been in. 2. They completely forgot about my bicycle, I had to call and request they work on it after letting it sit for two weeks. 3. They have completely ignored my email messages, with no response after a week. I emailed some photos to request an estimate for a repair job.Overall the best place in the area is Spring Street in Chippewa. I will go back to bringing my bike over to the next town because Riverside can no longer be trusted as a quality business. Shame

Great place got a good bike that I love for a pretty good price. would have done 5 star but they had my bike to repair brake stuff and they had it for a while and didnt do very much and kept calling asking the same questions over and over. they also kept saying different times of how long it would take. I would still recommended to someone looking for a bike.

Excellent! Reasonable pricing offered to replace the tires on a jogging stroller. They gad some tires on hand and provided a great quality replacement within a reasonable time. I am very impressed with the excellent customer service, very friendly and knowledgeable.

I walked in on a Saturday morning planning on possibly ordering a bike that would arrive months later (every shop is wildly backordered right now). I was lucky enough to test ride a bike they had recently found in their inventory and ended up walking out with a new bike. The staff were all friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and took time to let me test (and re-test) different parts and configurations to find a set-up that fit. Despite a very busy store on the weekend, I didnt feel rushed and they answered all my questions patiently. When you purchase through Riverside, the bike comes with an impressive service agreement and a discount on gear and parts. Im looking forward to years of great service working with this shop!

A few years ago I had them install a hydraulic seat post (they they ordered for me).Last year that post fell apart so I brought it in for them to fix it.They could not get the post removed and told me that whoever installed it installed the wrong size and told me that my bike was essentially totaled and tried selling me a new bike instead of admitting the fault of their own and assisting me farther.I did a simple repair and am still comfortably riding my bike this year!

Great place to shop for a bike with super helpfull customer service. Know i cant say its the best simply because i havnt been to other bike shops in the area. I havnt had a bike since hs and in hs my parents just bought me a standard bike. Turns out there many differnt types of bikes and stuff that goes into buying one so i was deifntly lost. I didnt even know what was a good price range to spend on one. Luckily this place took care of that. I went in saying i wanted to buy a bike and gave them my price range. They where able to show me couple options around my price and lower just because they are short on stock, every place is so its not a bad thing. Pat is super knowladgle along with everyone else that helped me. I was able to test ride any bike that was for sale how ever many times i want. So if your in the market for a new bike defintly stop by this place, but remember bike stock everywhere is low right know so dont be surprised if they dont have millions of options. Finally I would recamend getting a bike in person rather than online because being able to test ride it makes a world of difference.

Picked up a used Trek. Owner spent a lot of time with me, installing various accessories and giving me a great education on bikes. Can’t find this kind of service many places and you won’t find it at Scheels or Walmart.

I bought my first bike from Riverside Bike & Skate 30 years ago. The excellent quality products and outstanding service they provide hasnt changed at all in that time. Owner Pat was able to find exactly what I was looking for...in stock!! Additionally, they had all of the accessories I needed as well (shoes, pedals, bottle cages, locks, packs, bells and whistles!) Dana and Collin were very helpful in finding me the right gear and getting me set up to get rolling. I really appreciated their time and attention considering how busy the shop was. Ive only ever purchased my bicycles and accessories from Riverside Bike & Skate and I plan on continuing that trend in the future! Thanks again Pat, Dana and Collin for your amazing service! I hadnt purchased a new bike in about 10 years and didnt know quite what I was looking for, but the owner listened to everything I needed in a bike and helped me choose something very reasonably priced!

Recently bought a used bike from them, they had just received it in on trade and they said they were going to put a new inner tube and do a tune up, they said it would be ready on Saturday, was a wednessday when I went in, called on Saturday to make sure it was ready, said it wasnt ready and said it should be Monday, called Monday and it was finally ready right before closing. They ended up not replacing the innertube, and just aired up the tire. The tire had gone flat on me on my first ride, called and Pat was rude and was not willing to put in a new inner tube as promised and paid for.

Updating my reviews.....My husband and I just again bought two bikes here from Pat and Brian (and crew) They are the new Pegasus E-Bikes. We will now be out of Eau Claire because of the vast range we can now go. They are awesome, well made and again we have the excellent service of Riverside Bike and Skate. We were very happy with our Trek bikes from several years ago but are now looking forward to the Pegasus E-Bikes. Thanks again to Pat for extending our biking range. Had them fix a used rollerblade with a busted ankle strap, really good service and the repair looks good. It took a few weeks to figure out a replacement but price was really fair and they gave us updates while we waited. Would definitely recommend

I had purchased a bike and a bike hitch rack. No complains about anything. The hitch was purchased last minutes, a few hours before closing the store, but they did have it ready for me. The service I have received in this place is great.

Bought a pair of skates here about a year ago. Went back in today because they were hurting my feet when I skates for more than half an hour. They were very helpful and I could immediately tell that they were going to do what it took to fix my skate situation. Ive always had very good luck here and would recommend them to anyone. Oh and I might mention they do the best skate sharpening in the area!

Purchasing a bike, having it serviced, and upgrading it have all been ridiculously painless at Riverside. They treat me right, and when things go awry, however out of their control the issue may or may not be, they more than make it right. Great people.

These guys took a bike that was quite weathered from sitting outside for years and made it ride like new again! Its definitely our go to place.

Recently bought a used 2017 Rockhopper from someone online that needs a new set of cranks since one had the pedal threading stripped out.I dont know what happened but customer service has dropped off. If you dont know exactly what you need done by them they may not be able to help you effectively. Pat has stated that he doesnt reply to emails or have time to answer questions regarding a repair until you show any sign of frustration with his poor attitude. I was just asking for advice on how to repair/upgrade my bike and for some idea of what that could cost.

My experience was excellent! I went in alone and a friendly employee helped me out right away. He literally dropped what he was doing to come help me with any questions I had. After he showed me some kayaks he went to grab another awesome employee who told me literally everything I wanted to know about kayaking. He never presured me once to buy. He only gave me soild advise from true experience. Thats somthing you cant find online. I got a great deal on a nice kayak and im very happy with my purchase and experience with this place and the awesome employees! 6 out of 5 stars! They went above and beyond!

It was awesome. I brought in my bike, they complimented it, and told me what they could do to fix it. Even after I told them not to rush they still got back to me in a few days and when they realized that they couldnt repair my brakes (they werent joking, I dont think anyone could have repaired those) they offered to give me the bike back free of charge. After this I decided to get new brakes through them, which they promptly repaired in a style and color that matches my bike.To sum it up: I WILL BE GOING BACK AS SOON AS I HAVE AN EXCUSE TO!Thanks a lot guys, great job!MitchP.S.
