Recently my air conditioning went out. Passive user. Called the people who installed my furnace. Came and diagnosed in short order. Come to find out it was a simple fix. I can always and will always trust that they will be upfront and honest and I will take there advice. Not like other contractors will say your ac is bad charge you and use unit on there next house. Trust is most important especially with there experience and expertise. Actually they also replaced furnace one winter when mine went out. Recommended to me to add some inlets and outlets and trusted there advice and had them done. House heats and cools just fine. Thank you. Appreciate your staff and the job they do.Also remember when old furnace had to be replaced. Heat exchanger corroded out which is common on old furnaces. They have the expertise to know that ac and furnace need to communicate and they were able to locate a thermostat that would allow two different manufactured units to communicate and work properly. Ive been extremely impressed with Residential. When we needed a bid on a new furnace, Dave provided us with a professional and informative visit. He wasnt pushy, and his numbers were competitive. I appreciated that, and we moved forward. Installation was professional, and when they ran into an issue that was going to cost us more (one way or another), they provided us with good options. Not pushy at all. Practical and straightforward. My interactions with the office have also been friendly and efficient. Im glad we went with Residential.

My furnace stopped working on a VERY COLD Saturday morning. I called Residential Heating and Air. I was very relieved that they had technicians on call on the weekends. The technician named Sam showed up within 2 hours after the initial call. After some diagnostic tests, he found out that the blowers motor was shot. It made sense because the blower had been making a high-pitch noise.I was quite nervous, thinking it would take a long time to replace it because the furnace is quite old. To my surprise, Sam located a replacement part right away. He went to pick up the blower motor and came back with the new blower motor within an hour.He got the blower motor replaced and the furnace was up and running. Everything went SOOOOO smoothly. Sam is super honest, friendly and knowledgeable. No up-selling, no hidden cost. Only honest, expert opinions and that gave me peace of mind and confidence. Everything was done perfectly. The most important thing was that I got the heat back within half a day. So, THANK YOU to Sam and Residential Heating and Air!!! Highly recommend their services and I would NOT hire anyone else for my heating and AC.

Everything was dandy up until installment date. They left a box full of pipes, etc., had to clean up after the fact there was stuff all over the floor. There was a big piece of equipment from our old ac unit outside left behind. My gate was left opened, and my garage door too. The electrician was NOT professional, he put my children at risk by leaving the baby gate opened, when I had made it clear to the installment team that I am working from home, that if something is needed to communicate w/ me. Communication failed on their part. The installers left, I had no idea there were 2 random men in my house, didnt know who they were until I asked about the thermostat being installed upside down, thats when I found out it was the electrician/his colleague. The electrician was rude, by the time he was done his entire body was already outside the door tapping to leave, with that attitude of his, I had given up already trying to ask questions. Recently found out that this rebate for getting an efficiency furnace installed, was never processed (communication failure again). I called was told my name looked familiar and that she was sure it was done on their end, she was going to look into it and call me back the next business day. No call until I initiated to find out, that the status on my rebate was unknown. I get it, everything has a process, everything takes time, etc., asking for communication and updates is not that hard. This company should be ashamed about being affiliated w/ MERSC companies. A gift card was mailed to me after contacting the owner, but definitely doesnt justify how I was treated from the day of installation to finding out about my unprocessed rebate (after patiently waiting for the full 12 weeks). The rebate manager also wasnt pleasant to talk with, no empathy there (excuses was all I heard), my trust had already left the door from installation date, gave benefit of the doubt w/ waiting to see if the rebate was going to be done timely, NOPE! 8-12 weeks is turning to be another wait of 12 weeks and beyond. Anyone would be unhappy and frustrated w/ all the various of experience that I had to deal with. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN! STAY AWAY! They do not deserve your money or time. Kudos to Anne, and Ceasar for displaying compassion/actually listening to a very frustrated customer. Bless your hearts!! I hope this place is at least treating you both fairly.

Worst response from the office. I called them for seeing a noise in HVAC which is happening in random. They came to house did nothing and charged me 150$. Asked me to call office when it happens again. When I called again they RUDELY responded now we cannot send anyone. Then why you said there is a warranty ?

I had a great experience using Residential Heating and Air to install 2 mini split heatpumps at some apartment units I own. Chris came out to go over some options, gave me a quote on the spot and scheduled the install within a week. The install was on time and went smoothly. The installers worked out different options for locating the equipment that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

We hired Residential to install our new system a couple years ago, which went great. Since then a few minor service calls and an annual checkup, as well as prompt service to deliver replacement filters. The team is always polite and meets its promises on showing up.

A/C went out during a 90 degree heatwave, Called Chris at Residential Heating and Air as well as two others. Got an Estimate on a Friday, lower then the the other two, they installed on Tuesday, very happy with price, quality and professionalism of the installers. Had the same experience 5 years ago with my furnace. Highly recommend !!!

Checked the inside units and rinsed off the outside unit. Kevin was very professional and nice. Rated a 4 instead of a 5 as our hoses were used and not put back the way they were found not that they were really organized, but I grew up if you use people’s things you return them the way you found them or better.

Whoever answers their phones she is rude!! I had to call them out 3 times and they even had the nerve to tell me I had to wait a few days for someone to be in my area after they got paid for the job. My system still is not working correctly. They want to point fingers but I wasnt having this problem before they touched my furnace and air. Would not recommend and I will be sharing my experience across all social media platforms. Unprofessional and rude! Shouldnt be in business!!

Almost 4 months later, our Lennox AC system is working well, passing all inspections, and saving us from the heat! Damien- our installer- did a stellar job! I was impressed with his knowledge, attention to detail, and overall expertise. The result of the install looks professional and clean. He is a keeper for your company and definitely worth a raise!Our Sales rep was knowledeable and opened my mind to the different brands. However, we did incur an issue with the first install. Being quoted and contracted for a full Lennox system, I was shocked to find that we got something else instead. Initially thinking the ADP Coil was a part of Lennox, I had come to learn that it was a completely different brand. Apparently, the original Lennox Coil was one size too small. Due to the right size Lennox Coil being out of stock, the ADP Coil was put in instead. The downfall was that this was done without my knowledge or consent. When I confronted the Sales Rep, it was disappointing that he claimed he was unaware and took no accountability. A word of advice for others, before they seal off the indoor coil, check to make sure the right one was installed!Giving credit to Renee, she had heard my concerns and did make it right. By thinking outside the box, she was able to come up with a solution with a Cased Lennox Coil that was in stock. Damien was back for round 2, removing the ADP and installing the Lennox coil successfully. Renee is a lifesaver for the company. Her discussions with me were genuine, and she made me feel as customer that they would do anything to make it right! Thank you Renee! You also deserve a raise!The point of my review is to be transparent- for both the owners of Residential Heating and Air and future customers. I get the sense that the owner would have never approved how the first install was handled. Ultimately, it was corrected. Backed by a 10 year warranty, I believe they are a 5 star company!

Got a good value on a new AC unit but it died only after a month. Amazingly, the owner and team came out and replaced it within 48 hours on the Friday before the 4th of July weekend.

I had old furnaces & ductwork completely removed and replaced with new furnaces & central air. Large week-long project. Very thorough professional crew who went the extra mile to ensure that necessary preparations were made and the process & objectives were explained & clearly understood; flexible with scheduling; the installation went smoothly, and they were more than willing to explain & share details along the way; they put extra effort into cleaning & preparing the homes (very) old ducts & boots when connecting the new ductwork; friendly, professional, and hard-working staff. Definitely recommend and would use them again.

They came out twice to fix the ac, told us to change the filter and cleaned off the unit. Called back 4 hours later to tell them it was still not working and they said they could get somebody out within 3 weeks and it is not their fault if it keeps breaking. They never fixed or found the cause of the problem and the lady on the phone was extremely rude.

Im really pleased with my new furnace, AC and mini-split. Dave was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the sales process, the equipment is great, and the installers were capable and professional. We had a problem after-the-fact with an unsealed gap in the wall around the mini-split conduit, but owner Chris Kallstrom personally followed up to make things right. Even though it wasnt perfectly flawless, I appreciate the care and the integrity.

Quick response and professional service. Met with the Chris (salesperson/estimator/operations/owner). He was patient and had extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment and how to assess our needs. He didnt try to oversell and was candid about what was needed and what was not needed. On the day of installation they were on the job early and Chris assisted his team with installation. It was fun to watch them use the crane to remove the old unit and carefully add the new curb adapter and 5-ton unit. Installation took a total of about 4 hours. Would definitely recommend.

We had an issue with a plugged secondary heat exchanger on our furnace when we were out of town this winter. I contacted Chris K after Centerpoint Energy shut off the gas due to high levels of carbon monoxide being blown outside the house. He offered to stop over and assess the situation himself. His candor about what was needed and what wasnt allowed us to make an informed decision. To prevent our pipes from freezing, Chris also set up a space heater by the water main until the new furnace could be installed the next day. He coordinated it all with our neighbors, and his professionalism and reassurance provided much needed peace of mind that our home was in very capable hands while we were away. Wed highly recommend Chris and his team!

The blower went out in our furnace and a tech was able to come out the next morning. Very professional and courteous service, from the person scheduling the appointments to the tech who performed the work. My sister had this company out to diagnose her furnace on Dec. 31st, which was running, but not blowing out heat. She called me to say that a service technician had come out earlier and said it was the inducer blower. He had to run to New Hope to pick a new one up. I told her I would stop by with a portable heater to keep the house temp. up till he returned. When I got there the tech was pulling in at the same time. He installed the blower, which took 15 minutes. As he was writing up the invoice I ask him what went out on it, the motor or what? He said, yeah the motor just go out after awhile. Well my background is not in HVAC, however I have had many years as a machine mechanics, and I have had a business as a residential remodeler for 28 years. I know an inducer blower only has three part to it that can go bad, the fan, the AC motor, and the motor capacitor, which is what usually fails. I told him I would like to keep the old one, so he left it. I checked out the unit and found out it was just the capacitor that had failed. This is a very easy testing procedure with a multimeter, and replacing it is nothing more than loosing two nuts. When I replaced it the unit ran fine. This is a $7.58 part. Which is a common part that any HVAC tech should have in his van. My sister was charged $697. for a complete unit which even at that is only $171. retail, plus the labor, 15 minutes diagnosis, and 15 minutes installation. Their normal service charge is $149. which includes the first 30 minutes.So what I saying in summary is. She was severely taken advantage of, as someone that knows nothing of HVAC, as most people dont.I called the following Monday and ask to speak to the manager, I was given the operations manager. I explained to her all of the above mentioned facts, and we were disconnected. I called back, and said sorry we were cut off there. She said, no I hung up on you, dont call back or I will call the police and tell them you are harrasing me.

My furnace went out a couple of years ago in November and had a new one installed within a week and it has been great since. The professionalism in all aspects was top notch. With two small kids in the household it was vital for a quick sale and installation of furnace. This review is overdue, but lately has been even more deserving. Residential saved my life. I bought a house with a furnace that the realtor and homeowner lied about—it was leaking carbon monoxide. It was in the middle of the coldest weather we had seen in years. Residential worked with me around the clock to make my house safe to live in while still getting a new safe and efficient furnace. They showed more concern for my safety than anything else. I was amazed at how quickly they got the work done and how supportive they were in handling the difficulties I had with financing after just buying my first house. Later they fixed the heating issues on my finished basement (thanks to a bad “do it yourself” job the previous owner attempted). Once again they were fast and did excellent work. Residential will always have my business.

This is customer service that I will use again! Caesar (service tech) came out to clear out 3 mice that entered my exhaust pipe of my furnace. 1 was dead and 2 still alive. One escaped from the fan system due to my stupidity, and Caesar helped me recover the escaped mouse when he could have very easily said, sir, the loose mouse is your problem! But he did not. After having someone come out to do a standard check of the furnace (which had been working fine for five years) it stopped working. I called and the extremely rude woman scoffed after I suggested it couldn’t be a coincidence and said ‘Oh after 24 hours you finally called...’ The heat had been turned up to 76 by the technician the night before and it had only been 15 hours when I left for work. I only noticed it was cool when I came back. Can’t believe how I was treated and will NEVER use this company again.

The work was completed within the time frame Chris gave us. Our AC went out over the Memorial Day weekend. We sent a message through the website and got a call back from Chris (the owner) who said that he was heading into do some paperwork on Memorial Day and would be happy to come by to check it out. On 10/25/16 we had rotobrush duct clean service from Residential Heating & Air Conditioning Inc. Around 9:45 AM I received a phone call from the associate and informed me the team will be in my house in about 20-30 minutes. With appointment at 10 AM, this is an excellent information. Upon arrival, Grant and Autumn, quickly briefed what would be done and would tell me if there was any need of additional cleaning. Both started their tasks in professional ways. In between, Grant asked me if we needed the service to clean the dryer vent with half of the listed cost. I hesitated and accepted with reservation. Will this be additional cost for an unnecessary service? At the end, it turned out to be a big surprise for me. Our dryer vent had a lot of junk inside. It took extra effort from Grant and Autumn to get the vent clean. Now I breath much comfortable inside our house. Our dryer will function more efficiently. Many thanks to both Grant and Autumn.

I cam home to my house hanging wide open. garage door up, back sliders unlocked. I have no idea how long my house was left unattended. I called and spoke to a female person who told me if I did not tell them to shut doors and turn off lights they do not do it.....Really well then maybe he should not have used my toilet and shut the lid....I did not tell him to do that either. Not amused at all.....

We had a great experience working with residential Heating and Air Conditioning. Residential redid our basement and 1st floor duct work, and put in a new furnace and AC. Pricing was great and the lowest of 5 other bids we received. While the project was pushed back by a few days and took a few days longer than anticipated, I couldnt be happier with the work. Its clean, and very well done. Our house was no simple refit, we switched the supplys, reworked old 3 way vents and had many twists and turns. While originally hoping I could do it my self, I know we made the right decision in having residential come out. Shout out to George, Tony and Bob. If you want a team to do it right the first time. These are your guys. Thanks!

Let me start by saying that the service technician was great, courteous and identified the problem right away. He replaced the inducer motor. I got charged $834 for about 1/2 hr work plus commute time to get the motor. Motor is about $300. I’m grateful my furnace is fixed but $534 essentially for labor is high. I didn’t have much of a choice since my furnace was out but I was shocked. I have been a customer for 15 years. Disappointed

Surprised by a carbon monoxide high reading at the beginning of a cold snap and boilers turned off... We needed to scramble. Residential came to the rescue. They got our heat delivering as promised in less than a week. As promised, I should add. We did get other bids and did our research. We got a good product at a fair price. Chris was great.

We decided to go with Residential for our furnace replacement back in September, as their pricing, while high, came with a free duct cleaning. That was enough to justify the additional cost, and they came out to do the quote in-person to look at our space. Although this would mean that my partner had to stay home from work, we thought it would be worth it because it was something that we needed to have done. Unfortunately, today they arrived at our house and promptly told us that they’d be unable to do the promised duct cleaning as there was asbestos that interfered. That’s fine, and I understand the need for safety for the workers. However, they could have easily figured this out before offering this to us.They didn’t offer to take anything off of the original quote, which included the duct cleaning that they mentioned that they would throw in for free. It feels as though this is a classic bait and switch move. When spending thousands of dollars somewhere a refund of a couple hundred dollars should be no problem, especially as it’s for a service that we had been promised, but we unfortunately have not received any sort of refund for the duct cleaning. A frustrating situation all around, as I’m sure this could have been discovered before making the promise of this service causing my husband had to miss a day of work which was a significant inconvenience.

These guys were great. Professional, thorough and friendly. They didnt try and talk me into unnecessary changes or upgrades. I needed my duct-work changed out to accommodate my new furnace. Price was fair, they were clean and polite. They always touched based on any questions they had before going forward. I would highly recommend these guys. I am sorry I cannot remember the techs names, but Chris the main guy was on it. Really appreciated their work; they even cleared up things in the basement they were not responsible for (secured some plumbing and ceiling tiles...), and added venting at no extra cost just to make our basement more comfortable.

Ive had multiple issues with this company. First, the salesman who came out to my house to give me a quote was confident that they could install a high efficiency system. He gave me a great quote and I decided to go with Residential Heating over a competitor. When the installation technician came to install the system, he said it would be extremely difficult to install without tearing apart portions of my basement. In the end I had to go with a standard efficiency system. System ran just fine after the install. The weather cooled down and I didnt run the AC for awhile. It warmed up a month after the install and I turned it back on and nothing. After tinkering with things for an hour, it randomly kicked in. Here we are another month later in a warmer day and I turned the system on again. 2 hours later still nothing, not turning on at all. I have a technician coming soon to do the initial startup anyway so we will see whats going on then. At this point I am not pleased and would not recommend.

I have used residential heating and air for years now. Having used someone prior that made a mess of my hvac... Im happy to have someone who does good work at a fair price. I dont feel the need to price things out with them, and they have always treated me professionally, fairly, and theyve done good work. They came to me on a reference of a good friend who owns apartments, and it was a great recommendation!Im going to add to this review 3 years later, and say what an awesome company they are to work with. Chris & Renee are the best! Couldnt recommend them more.

The price was competitive and the workmanship was first class. I replaced an old furnace with a high efficiency furnace, so we had an tough problem to solve on how to vent the PVC pipes. My utility room is finished (not my doing), so it was very hard to figure out the best solution, but the installer figured it out and did a great job. I would recommend this company.

Chris & his team took outstanding service of our business. We had a rooftop unit that had failed us and was no longer working. We pulled several quotes for a replacement system. Residential Heating & ACs quote offered a better unit for a better price compared to our competition.We had our install date set for a Thursday, but had a client request a meeting in our space that same day. This company was so easy to work with from meeting with Chris to completion of the job (which was only a couple of days). They replaced our furnace exhaust stack pipe and our old furnace and air conditioner the same day. The workers were all really professional and the job was top notch. First off I normally do not take the time and energy to write a review but I was so impressed with this company I had to. I woke up Monday morning and my furnace was not working I made the call to residential heating they had a service person at my home within two hours. the serviceman was clean and friendly and had the problem fixed within 20 minutes. From the person who answered the phone to the final bill (very reasonable) I was 100% satisfied. I highly recommend this company.

Had both my furnaces In my commercial building go out during negative temps. Chris personally came out to diagnose and fix my them. One needed a new part that was ordered and replaced the next day by Ricky. I will be using them in the future. I appreciate the professional and knowledgeable service!

I got a couple quotes from companies for a ductless mini split A/C system for my old home. For Residential heating & air, the salesman seemed knowledgeable and professional, and they had a competitive price. They also had the best warranty of anyone I looked at so I decided to go with them for this job.It took 2 installers 3 days to complete the job (there was a very bad storm on the 2nd day so they did what they could inside before leaving for the day). I am very impressed with their work, everything is tied up neatly and nicely inside and outside my home, they did a great job. The electrician came on the 3rd day to wire everything up, just as was explained to me. Each head unit has its own setting, so I can set a colder temperature in my bedroom and leave the living room warmer.The Daikin systems they install are awesome, and really pump out the cold air. They are also very efficient, and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my electric bill as compared to last summer when we had 4 window units going in my house. They also heat the home so I am looking forward to trying that out this fall.Overall I am very happy with my purchase, and I would recommend residential heating & air to anyone looking for an A/C solution for their home. I plan on using them for maintenance on my old boiler which is coming up this winter as well. They are a small company but with personable people and I liked doing business with them.

Very satisfied with the boiler inspection I received from Josh recently. Beyond the work performed, he provided answers to the many questions I had about my system, from verifying my understanding of the zones and runs, to proper psi setting, to how to drain the system if necessary to discussion about the best use of the pump for my upstairs zone in the spring.

I had purchased a new heater from them 2 years ago. I called simply to get new filters. Easy Enough.... WHAT A DISASTER!! Worst customer service of my life. I chose this company because I saw they had great reviews but I was shocked and disgusted by the terrible customer service we received. The individuals that came to us were clearly racist and didn’t really try to hide it. I’m not one of those people that thinks everyone who is rude or ambivalent is racist either, it was clear from the jump. That’s no way to treat a paying customer.

We just had residential heating and air out for our duct cleaning. Was very impressed with the 2 service people doing the job. Very informative and thorough with their work. I really felt our ducts were toroughly cleaned and cleaned up after completing.Highly recommend this company.Gary

Great to finally have someone say what they are going to do and then actually do what the say.First used them last summer to fix my moms AC during a big heat stretch. Crucial that they fixed her AC so she wouldnt be stuck in the heat that night. They arrived exactly on time and fixed the problem quickly. These were the first folks I called to quote out a boiler replacement - $7,500! Very glad I got a few competitive quotes. I ended up paying $5,400 for the exact same boiler and service from a different company.

Extremely rude! I will not be working with this company. I initially called because they were highly rated. Ive been having issues with my heat. Ive had two other companies come out (who came to consult for free), but they gave me almost opposite suggestions on how to handle the problem. When I called in, I was told what Id be charged for the visit and I explained my situation. The woman briefly explained diagnostics to me before telling me Good Luck in an extremely rude fashion and hanging up on me.I would like to add that I dont think either of the other companies brought diagnostic equipment and had she taken the time to explain anything to me - I would have likely had the company come out with the fee. I was about to ask more questions when she hung up. I will not be calling back because of the rudeness of the scheduling assistant.

Im in the home remodeling business and use Residential Heating & Air Conditioning on all of my projects, and have done so for years. Theyve always taken good care of me on installs as well as repairs. Whenever anyone asks for a referral Im more than happy to send them to Residential Heating & Air Conditioning.

I made an appointment to have my AC unit serviced, which is in my attic, and I made it clear the technician needed to be a smaller individual as theres a small chute he or she would have to fit through to get into the attic. The person scheduling the appointment said that wouldnt be a problem.When the technician arrived, it was very clear he would not be able to fit through the chute. He spent 10 minutes blowing air up the primary drain on the outside of my house and charged me $95 for the service call. I paid in full, but in retrospect would have only given him partial payment as I made it clear only a smaller technician would be able to get into the attic. I called to see if I could get some of the money refunded but the manager said there was no way to know the technician wouldnt be able to fit.Im fine paying for a service call (or at least partial payment) if the technician can actually provide some sort of service. I specifically caveated the required build to get into the attic, which the technician did not meet, so he couldnt even look at the AC unit. I basically paid $95 to have them drive to my house.

These guys helped my with my mothers system. They were totally professional and reasonable. The system is working perfectly now.

We got a ductless air conditioning system installed through them as we bought a house that has a boiler to heat the place and needed air conditioning installed. Talk to Scott Spanjers he did everthing he could to make the system work for us and the price compared to other companies was very good. Work didnt take long and the system works great in our house. Highly recommend!
