I liked that this place is having variety of Indian street food. I wish vendors could maintain more hygiene.

Just ordered dal vada for take out. Most part of foam container is burnt with hot vadas and some even were stuck to the base. How can you put so hot in foam containers and not even a wax paper or something under the food.

If you are looking for quick bite on the go then this is the good place to visit.

Trash place! would not recommend eating here! The veggie burger I ordered today was downright awful. The cheese was melted in the wrong places and the patti was too thick for my taste. The employees there did not know the sizes of the cups. Once again this place caused me trauma from ever eating burgers ever again.

Desi Galaxy is an Indian snack stall selling popular chaat items and some other street food dishes like Chole Bhature, Pav Bhaji, etc. The place is small, with limited seating, inconsistent food quality and is not so hygienic or clean. But the service was great, few items might be worth trying and pricing is pretty reasonable.Recently visited this place with a group of friends. We had tried a bunch of items among the group. The quality of food wasnt too great, some dishes were nice and some were really off. We first tried the Pani Puri - they have a variety of Pani to choose from. The Puris werent crispy as you would want to be. After that we tried a couple of chaat items with Pav Bhaji and Chole Bhature. The chaat items were ok but one of the chutneys used in them was smelling bad. The Pav Bhaji and Vada Pav were kinda OKish and the Chole Bhature was pretty good. We also tried the Cut Mirchi - a batter fried green chillies dish, the dish tasted great and pretty fresh.It seemed like few of the dishes were fresh and few were stale or of poor quality. I would not advise anyone for this place but if you are here you can try their Cut Mirchi and Chole Bhature.

Worst costumer service at juice/icecream section, looks like the guy making juice was tired and did not care about answering any questions, he was very grumpy/cranky, ordered pinacolatta, it was full of sugar. It was like you are drinking plain sugar.

If only you can ignore the interiors of this place and simply enjoy the food, you’re good to go. When I first entered this resto, it felt like I’m in some old school cafe serving in a small town somewhere in India but the flavors are definitely worth mentioning.And please note that the Hyderabadi restaurant inside Desi Galaxy is what Im talking about. The main course here is really delicious. We ordered for Mutton Maharaja which didnt disappoint at all.The other vendors in here offering Indian snacks and chaat is fine too, just that I feel that sometimes they dont care about the quality of their food and serve even stale items, like the mashed potatoes filling for pani puri isnt as fresh most of the time.Id still rate it as four stars since most of their meals are delicious.

Lovedddddd their vada paav. Simply amazingBrought back memories of Mumbai. Live pani Puri is good, but I dont like all 6 types of panis. Except khatta meeta and pudina, others dont taste that good .. they also have various types of juices and ice creams .. sugar cane juice is available sometimes . I’m not a big fan of their hot food .. it isn’t as good as other testy around . Lots of parking availableI also love the raajwadi pan here.

Me and my husband went for paani poori (,golgupe,) but lady doesnt pay much attention on us and after last poori my husband was waiting her for long for extra paani on last and she doesnt even ask if we need more or something else.. she just disappeared, my husband feel very embarrassed without reason and i feel bad for him too.. 1 star for ladys attitude and taste of pani poori was disgusting..just water no taste

Went post dinner for some desserts and drinks!! Had fresh sugarcane juice and sitafal milk shake was something to be not missed. Had a ice dish with milk maid and nuts as well as some candies, reminded us of the good old days in india !! Must visit

We usually go here after doing grocery shopping in Edison. Food is tasty and well maintained.

Food was not that good, I felt like out of 4 items, 2 item were actually stinking or something in it was expired/out dated, may be chutney, hence tasting/stinking bad. Even the Pani of panipuri was not fresh. Would not prefer to go again.

Friendly staff but they messed up my to go order. I wanted 2 samosa chaats but instead they gave 1 chaat and 1 unrecognizable sandwich. And the samosa chaat hardly had any samosas in it, it was mostly chickpeas and chili spices...Im never coming here again, Desi Galaxy in Iselin is much better than this location.

Good place for food

Authentic Indian food. The food is sumptuous and would definitely visit this place again. I had ordered Sev Puri, Chole Bathure, Bread Pakoda and Falooda Kulfi. The straw given for eating the falooda is an epitome of innovation where one can have falooda with the Straw. The Bathura was not at all oily and chole was very delecious. The sev Puri had the right amount of sweet and spicy chutney. The prices are dearth cheap. The service is fast.

Be sure on cash, they make calculation mistakes...also they forget even after order is placed...shady place

Worst food I ever had in NJ. Pani puri was almost $1 each and while eating Raj kachori I was thinking if I would be ok to go for work next day and just dumped it. Service at worst. I honestly suggest not to waste your money there and spoil your stomach. 😭

Love this place. Its generally open till 10 PM, when most other restaurants are closed. It has Panjabi express inside it which is good and provides quick service.

My favorite place for weekend dinners. I like the flexibility in food options. Fast food, south indian, North Indian, Chinese cuisines. They have ice creams and deserts too. And there is a Pan shop as well.

If you are going to get a ice cream, go to quality ice cream opposite to desi galaxy, much better quality and service.

Pav bhaji was great! Pani puri was okayish, moreover the lady serving the pani puri had a “why are you even here” face on. I felt guilty after eating the pani puri lol. Place was clean. Overall experience was just fine.

Today we did catering at Bombay Spice first time. Its was delicious foods. Cant compare with other. After long time we could test real authentic indian cousin on this foreign land. Excellent customer service and very reasonable price. They provide food within short time of our request and made our event successful.We wish them good luck.Desai Family.

Worst Pani Puri I have ever had.. plus the attitude of the girl serving was bad, like doing a big favor on us for serving the pani puri (which btw was almost a $1 per puri)

The Healthy Platters Shop that is connected to it is the best. They make halal food like the food stands in NYC and it has the same taste and its on $7 for the chicken one.

Dont go there if youre not Indian as they will overcharge you and make their own price. Racist bastards.

Dont order Samosa here. I order for 30 Samosa and the people are so cheap that they dont give you enough chutney. I ask for enough and they gave me one small box of each. Someone told me that its only enough for 10 samosa. When I ask for more, they started looking at me as if I ask for whole store. They are not professional at all. They take customer as granted and think that customer doesnt know anything and they tried toake them fool. I am telling from my personal experience.

Great Place if you missing Indian street food. not much expensive but overcrowded sometimes with long queue. so many things to try live panipuri counter, falooda, chat, samosa and so and on. I ordered some chat ( that was delicious), bhature ( its ok to test once ), Manchurian ( Ohh my god its too oily -never ever order) and some fresh juice ( its good overall but do not expect cleanness ). service is fast and good staff overall good for family - where everyone has different test and want different food :)

I went there as the Biryani restaurant attached to it. That was by far the most spicy biriyani I have ever eaten. The biriyani meat had just bones and I was sick for three days. Some folks may like this extent of spice but it did not work with my stomach.

The attendant was arrogant and argued on single pani puri saying that they just reduced the number of puris to 7 . So 7 puri in $6🙄 And just when we had it last week it was 8 puris $6. Pathetic!

Minus stars for poor service. Two elder gentlemen in the Tea stall definitely have to do something else, in my opinion they should not be allowed to face customers. The way they respond/treat to customers is rude. That will be my last visit to this place. I will make sure I will pass on this message to my near and dears.

Decent Indian food and not so expensive.

Orderd samosa chat and it was horrible. I felt as if I was eating bland chole with no sign of samosa. I would have been better of ordering just samosa. The lady at the register is unfriendly and was unwilling to make a small modification to the order placed by mistake. Previously when I visited, she gave us less gol gappes and when we told her she shows as if we were lying.Giving 1 more star only because chole bhature was good.This place used to be nice couple of years ago but now its disappointing.

The worst tasting sev puri ever. The last puri tasted as if a wet rag had been squeezed into it. The paneer Kati roll had spoilt paneer. Disappointing and definitely would never recommend this place to anyone
