The service rep Tyrone was accommodating, knowledgeable, friendly, and not at all put out with me when it turned out hed made a trip for nothing because my garage door was actually working. Instead, he schooled me on the necessity of surge protectors and oiled the coils and track, which I very much appreciated. Thank you, Tyrone and Trotters!

Got a quote. Scheduled work start date. They called on the work day to send Josh to look at the job again. Josh said employee shortage due to Covid. Also no torsion spring available for single garage door. He will come next day to repair double door & order parts for single door to do later. Next day double door fixed. I called 5 days later to ask if part in for single door. No idea who I am or what I am talking about. He will research - call back. Still waiting.

He inspected both doors, showed me how one was in good shape and one wasnt, explained exactly what he proposed to do to fix it, and then got right to work. He even took the time to adjust each door and make sure they were in perfect working order. Easy, no pressure sale. Superb product. Competent installers. Couldn’t be happier. We shopped several OKC Metro Garage Door Companies. The Haas brand doors we selected from Trotter are as good looking as they are functional. With such a great price we upgraded from single layer pressed steel doors (3 car garage, 1 double-16 ft, and 1 single-8 ft door) to double steel clad, fully insulated, with ½ in thick, tempered/insulated glass windows, and decorative hardware. The before and after is stunning and having ambient light in the garage is amazing.

We went with Trotter because of the good service we experienced on our old door. They installed the new door today and did not disappoint! You get what you pay for! May be more expensive but is well worth it.

I just had Tyrone & Lonnie out to my house. Friendly and professional. All 3 garage doors sounded terrible and some times would not open. They tightened the springs and lubed. The doors are opening so much better and sound great. Also very happy with the price.

The guys at Trotter Overhead Door are amazing. We own auto repair shops in Edmond and OKC. One of our bay doors was damaged at our OKC shop to the point we could not open it. This bay was where our alignment machine is located. So we could not perform alignments until the door was repaired. Once we explained our situation to Jesse and Sam they made arrangements for a tech to come to our shop right away. I was Not able to use Trotter initially as I wanted as my Home warranty guided me elsewheres. The installation was not good. Finally I called Trotter, explained and to my Amazement said they would make a Courtesy call. Trotter did so here in Edmond, fixed the other firms mis-install .... and Charged me NOTHING. How Rare is that such service!

I would love to support a small business and I am usually okay with paying a bit extra for it but Trotters was trying to charge me $55+ tax for an opener I can get on Amazon 2 for $15. I’m not even paying for a service. Just the opener. This is a little more then frustrating. Seems like a scam almost.

Really good experience with Trotter. My only issue was the communication with the install date. I had to call several times to find the install date. The installer was beyond helpful and did an amazing job. He talked through things with me throughout the installation process. He asked my input of different options. The door ended up being amazing.

The quality of their work and professionalism of their technicians are top-notch. Every technician Ive had come out is great- they even came out to evaluate my door free of charge. The only reason I have deducted one star is because of the lack of communication by the office staff with the technicians. Let me explain: a few weeks ago I noticed my opener was not functioning correctly. Trotter had a couple of technicians come out and they gave me some options: either replace the sprocket in my opener or get a new opener. They verbally quoted me prices to have the sprocket replaced, or the opener replaced, along with springs for both my doors. Very knowledgeable, very professional. I said I would think about my options and call them. A couple days later I decided to just replace the opener, so I called them. I explained to the girl who answered the phone (who is generally not very helpful) what I wanted done, and she transferred me to a guy, to whom I explained the same thing, and specified what work I wanted done, and what model of opener I wanted. He assured me that the techs would have everything on their truck that they needed. I called them the later (I think the day before they were supposed to come out), once again, just to confirm they were aware of what I wanted done, and was given the same assurance. The day they were supposed to come out I took off work, waited for them to come, and finally when the techs arrived they didnt have a clue what they were out there to do. No one had communicated it to them! Also discovered that the model of opener I wanted was out of stock. So I took a morning off for nothing. I ended up going with another model of opener a couple weeks later, and the tech came out and did great work. The work was done in just a couple of hours for the price quoted, and couldnt be happier with the end result. This may appear to be a lot of negativity for a 4-star review, but I wanted to adequately explain why I would deduct a star from what should be a 5-star review. I would and will use them again, I just hope they give some….guidance…on communication to their office staff.

We are repeat customers and will continue to use them when we have problems with our garage doors. When opening one of our doors yesterday, I heard a loud noise as the door went up. Called them and a technician was here the same day! Diagnosed the problem quickly and we needed a new unit after 17 years. The technician installed it, programmed new remotes, and keypad. Great and courteous service! Very reasonable prices for the quality work that was done.

Asked Trotter to come out and check if my garage door was working okay since I started hearing strange sounds and awkward movements by the door after we painted it. Sure enough, the paint on the door was sticking to the weather gasket. They offered a simple solution - I should rub candle wax on the gasket. I had occasion to call Trotter GD for service to repair a broken bracket on my garage door. A young man named Nick came out in a couple hrs on the same day I called. He was very polite looked at the problem, and gave me an estimate to repair explaining in detail. I approved his estimate and he swiftly went to work.I watched as he went about his job, and I have to tell you he made every step and every movement count. He wasted no time, including when I ask a question, he would answer without missing a move.Of course, everyone thinks repairs are too costly, but by the time he finished, I felt I got my moneys worth.After fixing the initial problem, he proceeded to fine tune and lube both doors. I used to manage a fleet of 60 tv and appliance repair techs, and Nick was the standard I tried to reach in all. Trotter can be proud he represents your business. Great job Nick, it was a pleasure. Had our coils replaced by Trotter a few years ago and door opener sprocket just snapped. Door is extremely out of balance; too heavy. Replaced the sprocket myself and called to get a quote for adding turns to the coils. Not very friendly and min service call quoted was $169. Had another reputable company do the work for $79 to learn that the springs Trotter installed are too small for my door. Trotter is definitely most expensive option and may or may not do the job right.

Called Trotter and they had someone come out same day. Jerry came out to seal up our garage doors and inspected them. They used high quality materials compared to the other company who installed the original doors. Jerry did excellent work and was super knowledgeable, honest and kind.
