The shop is a hidden gem! As much as I want to keep it hidden for my own regular use :), these (non chain, non franchise) types of places are great in any community. Richard and company go above and beyond and they personally have helped me out of without notice a number of times helping me get back on the road the same day. Im very thankful they are in the neighborhood!

AWESOME MECHANIC. Our jeep grand cherokee was sputtering on acceleration, we called them after finding them on google maps and they said theyd look it the same day, FREE OF CHARGE. We bring it in and they guy ends up working on it right away! Within half an hour he drives it out, says the sputtering has stopped after taking out, cleaning and putting back some components. He says he wont charge us! We drive around and drive home, engine light now off and 0 sputtering. My mom was panicking that she would have no car to drive, and precision auto tune charges us 120 bucks just to LOOK AT IT. This was all free and we were out in half an hour. Amazing

We had an exhaust manifold leak on our converted school bus motorhome. It was too big of a job for us to do on the road. Being a mechanic myself it, it was a painful prospect to hire the job out, but Richard came highly recommended. It worked out perfectly for us. He fixed it right away for a good price. Hes a highly skilled tech and If you have a RV breakdown in San diego and dont want to deal with dealership prices and headaches, hes a hell of a resource.

I showed up at opening time (8am) on a Saturday morning and they took me immediately. I needed a wheel bearing repack in a hurry. My vehicle was finished before noon. The cost...$220. The hidden secret about this place...the current owner, Amber (a real firecracker) will take you home and pick you up if you do not live too far away from the shop. I have been a Rileys customer since before Jesse (the previous owner) retired several years ago. The service is still good and the prices are competitive. Not cheap, but competitive. Thank you Amber and crew!

Time after time this place is as honest as they come and they have saved this lady a lot of money from other places misdiagnosing my older van. Just this summer on 8-10-18 they saved me $600 because a brake shop in Santee said my older van needed back brake cylinders replaced because they were leaking. It was a total lie and Rileys replaced my front brakes for $300 because there was NO leaking from the cylindars and the other place on the corner of Magnolia and Mission Gorge wanted to charge me $900 for front and back brakes. Thank you Rileys. Once again and forever you will be my mechanic because you are honest!!
