The retail associate in furniture helped me immediately solve the issue that brought me in today. As I entered the furniture department, the associate stopped what She was doing and came over to help me and explained exactly how to return the item I needed to exchange. I left feeling so happy to know that my new chair was on the way and the one I could not use would be picked up from my home by UPS within 2 days. Receiving great customer service is always a joy! 😀

Everything is picked over. Theres a lot of slim pickings. Id rather shop online since theyre pretty much forcing us to shop online. I have a strong feeling that theyre about to go out of business just like Sears & Macys. Not sure but its still so sad.

All the shorts were on sale so I bought myself different pairs and I really liked them. Every time I visit the store I find excellent items on sale

Went here to get a couple of blouses for school for my grandchild. The selection was pretty decent, but sale and clearance prices were as much as their previous regular prices. Hard to afford much on a fixed income, but that seems the way forEverything right now.

Finding some one to assist was a real chore. The show department looked like a tornado had hit it.

When you can purchase good items and save money, even with extra discounts with what had already been discounted, you find that JC Penny is the best company for shopping and savings. J C Penny is an Excellent Company, no exception! I am a happy customer 😊

Went shopping for men’s dress shirts. Anthony in the men’s department, was very helpful.I wound up buying two shirts and had two others shipped. This was a very pleasant day.

One of the smaller JCPenney stores. Still has a decent selection of clothes and small appliances. However be prepared to wait half an hour to check out. Even though the stores relatively empty, the cashiers are slow as slow can be.

I was so disappointed. 1) there was no stock, 2) what they had was blah, and 3) they are so short staffed it took me 15 minutes to find someone not in the jewelry dept. I have supported and shopped here for years. It was pathetic.

I found a very comfy mattress, I actually drifted off to sleep for about 15 minutes while laying on it. If there were any employees in this store I would definitely purchase it but I have, at this point, been laying on this mattress for about 45 minutes and there are still no signs of life anywhere in my vicinity. Its safe to say that I am alone in my voyage back to the exit.

Came for some new Levis. Stock had few choices in size, wasnt organized and their dressing rooms were locked. Which would be fine except finding a floor clerk took forever. I had to try on different cuts of jeans, asking the floor clerk again to let me in. The whole situation was tedious and time consuming. Left the store empty handed and took my money to Vons.

Not as tidy as it used to be. But still a good place to browse.

Its so sad the hit department stores have taken from Amazon and the pandemic. The store was so empty and the stuff it did have looked like it had been pulled out of boxes kept in the back room for the last 15 years. Hopefully JCPenney will revamp their brand and hang in there but its not looking so good.

Yaaaaaay!!!

Nahid the jewelry specialist is such a sweet person I ordered a watch online and the box came in messy went into the store talked to her and she immediately took care of me she definitely deserves a management position for her amazing attitude. ❤️❤️❤️

Its OK. Always seems to be clothes all over the floor any time I have gone in and the staff doesnt say much. The upstairs is cleaner though.

They locked all the side doors. You have to go through the mall to enter a main door, then cross the entire store to get one thing. To leave you must repeat the same process. For those with mobility issues this is inexcuseable.

They had a promotion that was simply phenomenal! I couldnt use it for my lovely Clark shoes but I could use it for the rest of my purchase. If you are looking for great deals, please dont hesitate to shop here, at the clearance racks. You can find items that you wouldnt normally buy because possibly out of your price range. But, let me tell you, when you find it on sale, its like youve struck gold!! I love shopping here!

Employees very helpful. One in particular had assisted us in finding a certain style of jeans and, when we got side-tracked, had found us in another section of the store to show us a selection of what we had been looking for. We ended up buying 3 of the 5 pairs.

It was a fun shopping experience. I enjoyed it. Here are some dresses I tried on from the 70% off rack that I didnt end up getting up were still a great deal! Definitely check it out now, while the sales are going on.

I have got to say, but this place has surprised me for the last 40 years. it always seems like it should be a five and dime store. But they have really lovely things that are well-made which dont cost a fortune. And its always been that way. They even still have a notions department. Check it out...

The deals are still pretty good and the selection is getting better. The staff leaves something to be desired. I had shopped the clearance racks and found a really pretty shirt for $3 something. When the lady rang it up, it came to $28. I pointed out the clearance tag and she accused me of putting the price sticker there myself! Rude!!!!!

I did most of my Christmas Shopping here. All areas of the store were helpful. The mens section was a little difficult but it WAS a busy time!

The kids clothing department is a mess. I mean a total mess. However, the staff is friendly and there are really great deals to be had in good quality clothes. Its our go to for back to school clothes, at least until our kids are nearing their teens.

The people working the floor are all super nice. Multiple people asked us if we needed help finding anything (we did, each time). I think they could do a better job with keeping the departments tidier but its the holidays so its probably hard to keep up.

Working here was okay for my first job. I was a seasonal hire. I never received two paychecks and payroll was very unhelpful when I called them. I was only able to receive a paycheck for $1.24 due to an error on their end when they claimed I never checked in when I know I did. I tried to add a debit card but they wouldnt let me because the seasonal ended. Again, called payroll and they were still unhelpful. This rating would be higher if not for this. As of this writing, I still have not received these two paychecks.

Was looking for Liz Claiborne petites and the department was a total mess. Different brands and sizes were mixed together. One girl at the register and no help in the department. ☹

JCPenney was the same as its been all my life, in monolithic department store with employees and no one is ever available to help you. I am looking for a shirt and a pair of slacks to match my girlfriends dress for her Christmas party. Unfortunately area I was looking at was in disarray and it didnt look like they have my size in shirts.

Went in to pick ip on-line order. The customer service staff are exceptional at thisEl Cajon Ca store. And they let you know about the in-store sales and special deals for that day/week. The best thing ... they are ALWAYS smiling!

Went to look for cutains and curtain rods. Store in disarray. Poorly stocked. No point in shopping there.

I have lost 45 lbs and i had no idea how to shop being a size 5/6 and 3 in some things from a 14. So the staff saw my frustration and they all helped me. I dont think i would of bought anything if it were not for the sales staff. This store has very professional nice ppl who are very accommodating!
