Stopped into this place for a quick lunch while visiting E-ton, and this sandwich was something I still dream about:) Im a self proclaimed chicken salad expert and often am skeptical when a server says things like” it’s the best around” but he wasn’t kidding! The muscadine grapes were not something I’ve ever had in my chicken salad and boy, was this sandwich delicious! I fell in love with Elizabethton and when I do go back, I’ll be stopping by again for another sandwich!

Reasonable food for a decent price.Took off a star for the service. Had sat down and ordered the meal, while also ordering a dessert from the coffee bar. The dessert was clearly articulated. Later on the check comes ~ sans dessert added. Considering they were quite busy, just thought to go to the coffee bar and get the item. However, the line was long with a wait of 10 minutes. All of which couldve been avoided had the server added the dessert to the bill in the first place.Would much rather just order the food and everything at the counter, and sit down and have it served. Makes things less complicated.

The coffee flavors are very original. They have just about every kind of coffee you could want, from lattes to Americanos. Excellent service and an absolutely unique antique aesthetic. Good, chill vibes all around!

Huge coffee shop with fresh food baking inside and coffee beans galore!They offer espresso drinks, coffee, hot chocolate, tea, as well as Pepsi products.A variety of pastries are available. We tried a braided apple pastry, it was good and I would order it again.I also ordered the basic breakfast plate: scrambled eggs, sausage (or bacon 🥓) and toast 🍞. It cost $5.50 and was a good deal. The food was fresh and hot.Three coffee brews ☕ were available. I went with the Ethiopian blend, definitely a great choice. They also offered decaf.Service was great, restaurant was clean, shelves were organized, and a variety of products were for sale. If you live here this should be a frequent place to visit. If you are from our of town then you definitely want to stop by and check it out.

Absolutely love this place for coffee, but if you haven’t eaten lunch here you are missing out on a local secret. I’ve never raves about an egg salad sandwich before, but there’s is the best I’ve ever had. Also, if you are lucky enough to show up when they have a charcuterie board on their specials menu... GET IT!!!

My husband and I have never been to this place before but we wanted to try it. We ordered and waited almost 40 minutes, my husband finally had to ask about our order and we received it about 5 minutes later. We heard them tell others after us that there would be a wait but they did not tell us that. If we would have known how much of a wait it would be, we would have left. Plus, the coffee was not good at all. Disappointed and will not be returning.

I wouldnt recommend The Coffee Company during a rush/busy time. The food was underwhelming, the service was not great. We were seated first, moved to a smaller table (which we actually asked for), then 2 more tables were sat. Our order was not taken first, instead it was the larger table of 5 that was 1st. Not really a big deal, but I am leaving an honest review. The German potato salad was described as salty, oily, & very tangy. It was definitely oily, but lacked salt & tang. So much so, that I took the lemon from my water & juiced it onto the potato salad. My son ordered a chicken tender salad & I had the pesto turkey sandwich. No issues there. My daughter ordered the toasted cheese with no tomato. When it arrived, her sandwich was barely lukewarm & the cheese hardly melted. I did let the waitress know (who switched mid shift to a new person?) & she thanked me for the honesty. Will I come back? Not for the food. The coffee has never let me down though!

Super awesome place way better than Starbucks and cheaper. They make great food even got a vegan option only one but its a start. I felt a little pushed last time but could have been reading him wrong.

I drive from Johnson City just to eat here. We are hosting out of down friends who are world travelers passing through today and The Coffee Company in little Ole Betsy Town is where well meet. Top to bottom, side to side, they hit 100 % great in my book and Im a bit of a restaurant critic. Enjoy

The Coffee Company is a great place to grab lunch or breakfast in Elizabethton. They have delicious food and wonderful service. My favorite is the Turkey Pesto sandwich. Their desserts and pastries are awesome too! I highly recommend this place!

This place is great! We had never been to this place. Our mom us having surgery at Sycamore Shoals Hospital and we were looking for a sandwich shop that sells reubens. Greeneville, TN has a quaint little sandwich shop called The Tannery. We love their reubens. Now we have a new place that sells them too and they are delicious!!! The service was fantastic and the greek pasta salad was great as well. Great job, guys!! We will be back for sure!!

We have been eating at the coffee company since they first opened. Our favorite has always been the chicken salad croissant .The chicken salad has always been top notch, however noticed it was not as chunky and it was almost like you buy pre-made in a container in a grocery store.. we were very disappointed and probably will not buy the chicken salad again

We had a decent time at the Coffee Company. Some local friends recommended the place, and I believe it is one of the better options for coffee and sandwiches in the town. The staff were all friendly and quick to help us. However, I have to say, the coffee is just ok. The lattes and americanos are a little weak, and came out extremely hot. When the espresso is that hot, it changes the flavor to become more acrid (in addition to burning your tongue). Id love to see them back off on the temperature a bit.

This coffee shop is cute and surrounded by cute small businesses in a historic strip. The shop serves meals, but we just got drinks. The chai tea frappe with soy is delicious! They have alternative milk options for those of us with sensitivities. The employees all wore masks and were very friendly. Good atmosphere for sure. Will come back when in town!

Fantastic food, love the lunch menu. Coffee is of course great too. The staff(at least the one that served us last time we went in) was extremely forgetful and inattentive. Had to ask for everything twice and it took forever.

Great atmosphere, pretty large place. Bookcases throughout still gave it a cozy feel. Food was delicious, we tried the Grilled Turkey Panini and the Ole Smokey. I tried their Potato Salad as a side, omg I finished it before anything! It was so good!! For Coffee I tried the Cafe Au late, I like my coffee strong so I asked for less of a flavor pump and it was perfect! Definitely will be back! This location is also perfect to plan for a walk Downton Elizabethton shops as it is in the middle of the strip of shops.

Always where I bring people visiting from out of town- even though I live in Johnons City with 3 coffee shops. Really incredible lunch menu, and the hands down best coffee in the area. I keep a supply of the whole beans they sell from Doe River Roasters. Appalachian Morning is my favorite. Truly a local gem!

We had a brie appetizer, vegetarian panini, and reuben with potato salad and Greek pasta salad. It was all delicious. The coffee is really good with no bitterness.

This place is fantastic. Got myself a Reuben. Darned thing was filled to the brim without being overflowing with delicious. The dressing was served on the side, which I appreciate as it allows me to put however much I wanted on it. Plus, we got a little side sampler, and I gotta say, loved all the sides we had our hands on. We also got a iced chai. Im not a fan of chai tea normally, but my wife liked it, and I felt it was good quality from the sip I had as well. 5/5 will be coming again

Downtown Elizabethton. Wow! One has to ✓out this place! What a treasure for the town! The friendly staff, all the variety of foods, coffees n teas, along with the fabulous atmosphere, make this a place to go, then talk about! I live an easy 15 miles away, and return often. On street parking, parking lots nearby, then easy access. Well lit. I feel safe there along with the rest of this wonderful and gorgeous town! Go!

My daughter and I went for the first time, hoping for soup and sandwiches. We arrived and stood looking at the menu for a minute until a sever said we should pick a table and someone will be with us. So we did. Another 20 minutes later and nobody has shown up. We just grabbed our belongings and left. I was excited about this place, it looked good. But Ill never be back or try again.

The lattes are delicious: not too sweet, and the espresso is rich and mellow. The sandwiches and wraps are enough to serve two. You can taste the freshness and quality of the ingredients. The staff is gracious and friendly, and all the staff seems intent on pleasing you.

The most amazing food and staff of any place Ive ever eaten. The prices for food is extremely reasonable. I deducted a star for the relatively new remodeling done on the inside. What was once a warm and charming environment that felt like a speak easy from an almost lost era, now has a bland, cold, more clinical modern feel that somehow doesnt seem as welcoming. We still love the food and service, but we dont enjoy the experience nearly as much and find ourselves hurrying it along.

Stopped in for breakfast and though there is not a huge selection its pretty good. I had a sausage, egg and cheese biscuit. It was good (especially the biscuit itself) but its not very large. I order a white reece latte and it was absolutely delicious ! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

Not impressed. In hopes i never pay $3 again for coffee and then have to make it myself .also I didnt see any to-go menus. The pastries looked good. Who knows how much they are. No honey or liquid sugar for my iced coffee either.

Great coffee. Great food. Great service. Great people. They have a wide variety of offerings of whole bean coffee. They select one each day to be the coffee of the day, a decaf, and a flavored coffee, but you can buy any of their beans by the pound. They used to roast their beans on-site, but demand has increased so much for their roasts that they had to buy a new building and more roasters just to keep up with demand (Doe River Roasters)! The owners are very charming and are very involved in the community. They have picked out an incredible group of people to serve customers with amazing service.

One of our favorite coffee houses! We buy their flavored coffee beans at least once a month if not more & always get a couple of lattes to go. Their pastries are so good! Love the almond scone! Beautiful old building too

It takes a while to get your coffee. But the coffee is so divine! Perfect blends and mixes. Very kind staff. Lots of space. Every item i have tried is delicious and their cinnamon rolls smell like heaven.

We bought whole beans and the coffee is amazing! Wish we lived closer.
