We were in need of a new roof and once Ian Holland came to provide an estimate, we were impressed with the information he shared, the quality of the products to be used, the thorough evaluation of the job, and the fair pricing. The crew that removed the old roof and installed the new one had a work ethic that was impressive. On a very hot day, they not only brought their own water, respected our garden, worked efficiently as a team, cleaned up thoroughly, but managed all of that in a 12 full hours of work. Determining we needed some chimney repair, the contact was made and that was also professionally handled. Ian followed up with us and throughout the project we felt secure knowing this was a job that would be well done with his concern for our home and respect for our needs.

From the start this company delivers on what the said. Ian H. came to my house and could not have been more professional, honest and kind. I replaced a roof, gutters (with gutter screens) and siding. The price was more than fair and all of the crews were very efficient. Within 2 weeks it was complete and Ian came by to check the work. No need to shop around, these guys are fantastic.

We worked with Steve and Wesley and had a ton of work done. New siding, soffits and fascia, gutters and all new windows. Their prices are right and they are professional in all they do. Seldom do you come across a company with honesty and integrity. I found A&D on Angies list. After a couple of roof quotes which i was not very impressed with i decided to give A&D a call and honestly i was expecting the same as others. I was very wrong. The salesman came out and was on time and provided great detail about roofing in general as well as providing me with the details on how the job process is followed through A&D. I decided to hire A&D. The company not only kept an eye on the weather to select the correct day for the install, they were on time and what can i say. The crew came out, were professionals, completed the job and the clean up in the time frame they promised. No hidden costs and honest opinions about my roof in general. I experienced prompt service from a knowledgeable and professional manager named Wesley. Wesley listened to my concerns about gutters and designed an effective new system of gutters and downspouts for my house. Within a week of signing the contract the job was done. Workers removed and hauled away the old stuff and installed everything in one day. Everyone was professional. Very happy I chose A and D.

My garage roof was caving in so I called A&D Home Improvement & talked to Steve. He was extremely pleasant to talk to. I told him what was going on with my garage roof. He was really helpful & understanding of my situation. He sent his guy Roman (whos a freaking rockstar) out to inspect the damage. Roman walked me thru the process of what needed to be done including replacing some bad wood, air vents, shingles etc. I also had a old window with siding that I wanted covered up & they did that also. They kept me up to date with the process. They did all this in a day. The crew that came out to do the work were professional and polite. Couldnt ask for anything more. Am extremely happy with the finished product so if you are needing any work done...dont hesitate to call this company. There professionalism & prices cant be beat. I wont hesitate to contact them again.

Due to the run around we received from another company, we were in need of siding as soon as possible. Marcin, from A&D Home Improvement, took on our project, during the peak of his busy time. Marcin was a delight to work with as well as Wesley and their crew. They truly listened to our ideas and completed the job on time and did an excellent job! We wish we would have used them for our roofing as well. I would definitely recommend this company.

I have to say that everything about this company is top notch. We had our roof replaced and along with some sofits and fascia. They came out and showed up on time and did the whole job in one day. The roof looks absolutely amazing as well as the sofits and fascia that was replaced. I am going to have them come back out and do the rest of the sofits and fascia for the rest of my house since they did an absolute fantastic job. I would highly recommend them for anything you need done, I found that their prices are very fair and reasonable. Give them a shot and you will not be disappointed in the process and the outcome.

Walter Maslon and crew did a great job replacing my roof. My flat roof was replaced with a rubber product. His crew arrived early (On Time) and had the job completed by early afternoon. Even after stripping three layers prior to installation. Quality Job!

I asked for a quote and someone came out, and I never heard from them. I called and left a message and they never called me back. I would not recommend them. As an update, A and D responded to this review. FYI and man came out and measured for gutters, he said he would call with the estimate. I asked him to figure on me removing the gutters so I could paint the overhang. If A and D has no record of this does not mean they did not come out. Still looking for a quote however.Update; It is great to know that the owner values customers opinions and I would love to give a positive review when I get a quote to replace my gutters and have the work completed. So this is update number to I am still waiting to get an estimate from a&d home improvement I am currently taking estimates but Ive still not heard from a&d I guess Im going to have to keep the one star rating

We had vinyl siding, gutters, a new window and new roof done. We love our house and could not be happier with the finish work. A&D replaced our roof and gutters. In our initial meeting, Steve Pinsler made all sorts of commitments that I found unbelievable. I would have been happy if A&D met 75% of those promises, but I was delighted when they went over 100%. The A&D team arrived on time, worked professionally, and left the place cleaner than they found it. Because A&D was able to bring a large team to our house, they replaced a very large roof in one day -- and all the gutters in the morning of the next day. My neighbors watched on with such amazement that I considered charging admission. If I need more exterior work done, I will surely call Steve.

I had an appointment set up for 8:30 this morning the person who was supposed to come to my home for an estimate called 6 minutes before he was supposed to arrive at my home to tell me he was not going to make it to my appointment. That right there showed me they didnt value my time or the fact that I was choosing them to come do an estimate for a job on my home. It was enough to say this company was not the right one for me and that was sad to see with all of the 5 star reviews. Everyone I spoke to over the phone to make this appointment was sweet and kind though.Since I have posted this review I will give it one more star because even after telling the person not to worry about coming to my home I will look elsewhere he showed up after I left for work and spoke to my husband. If I choose this company and there work shows the 5 stars that I have seen otherwise I will update again :)

We just got a new roof from A&D and could not be happier! The professionalism and care---from meeting with our sales representative, being contacted by the scheduler, to having the actual installation team on site---was top notch. Roman---our sales guy---stayed connected through the entire process and even helped us make the color decision when we were stuck. The installation team was friendly and super conscientious...they protected all areas of our driveway and yard and absolutely no debris was left behind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND and cant say enough about A&D!

I recently needed a new roof, gutters and skylight for my brothers home. I went online to a website that sent your name to local contractors. I received many responses and set up appointments for the next 2 days. A&D Home Improvement was my second appointment. I felt very comfortable with both the salesman and quote. The quote was within the amount I could pay for the job so I signed that day. I did however meet with some of the other contractors and knew I made the right decision. The job was completed within 2 weeks and Im very pleased. I would highly recommend this company and regret they only do exterior work. I would hire them in an instant if they did inside work too! When I need a new roof on my house I know who I will call.

My experience with A & D Home Improvement was exceptional. I desperately needed a new roof and was not eligible for an insurance claim. As with most people contracting for a project of this magnitude, I solicited bids from various companies. Of course an “A” rating was a requirement. Most bids were close, except for one low one that scared me away.I was contacted by Steven Pinsler from A & D to discuss the project. This was the best thing that could have happened. He visited my property when I was not home and sent me his estimate. He never tried to corner me with a high pressure sales pitch. After discussing his estimate and comparing it to the others, A & D started to look like a fantastic deal. A & D uses ancillary roof components that are superior to competitors and the cost of replacing the rotting boards was much less than any other company.Steve was always available for questions or to clearly explain the process from early in the morning through late at night. It was great to have such personal attention.After committing to the contract, Steve somehow was able to expedite the building permit with the village, something the other contractors said they were unable to do in my town.The actual installation of my roof was done with remarkable efficiency. My roof is huge and steep. The crew was there early in the morning and worked until dark. The project was completed in two days, including the thorough clean-up. All the workers were efficient and very friendly. Furthermore, A & D always has a foreman present during the whole project. Another great gesture is A & D does not use dumpsters which can damage driveways and is always on location longer than you want. They use a trailer much to my satisfaction.Everything about this company is great. Steve followed-up at the completion of the job to make sure I was fully satisfied. The staff – on location and in the office, are friendly, caring and efficient. The ease of obtaining fair financing through A & D made this project possible and my home looks beautiful.

Couldnt be happier with the way everything turned out. They tore off both the house and garage roofs and the new roofs look great. Added new vents and gutters/ downspouts.Roman was my sales rep.. He took more time looking at my roof problems and listening to what I was looking for and explaining what they do then 3 other companies combined. Good job with the clean up also. We were in desperate need of getting our roof replaced. I searched online and took a survey and A&D Home Improvement & Roofing called shortly after. They was able to get someone to check out our roof the very next day. Jose was so helpful and within weeks we were able to get our entire roof and gutters replaced. I would recommend A&D to anyone who needs a new roof or repairs. Very responsive and a friendly staff!

I met with Marcin and spoke of having my roof replaced due to storm damage from the previous year. My wife informed him that our insurance would be covering the complete roof. He provided a vague estimate which prompted my insurance to ask for specifics regarding measurements, and city code requirements. I forwarded my insurances request and Marcin replied by stating that yes he could provide the needed information but that there would be a $500 fee to do so. He went on to state that this fee would be accredited to me if his company was chosen to do the work and deal with the insurance directly. I was extremely disappointed by his response and decided that I will be using another company which values the needs of the potential customers to do the work on my home.

Called and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Received email confirmation. Waited around for 2 hours on a Saturday afternoon. No one showed up, no one called. I called and their office was closed. Left a message and never heard anything back. Dont bother with them; they obviously have no respect for their customers. I found a very responsive, professional company and contracted with them for a new roof, gutters, and downspouts.

Good work done and in a timely manner

This company went above and beyond my expectations. Their representative Roman came out to my home, measured everything and told me I would have a typed estimate emailed to me by the end of the day. I received an email from Steven B with my estimate, as promised. I was put in the schedule about 2 weeks from signing the contract and getting it back to the office. The work was started and finished within one day and everything was cleaned up and taken away. This process was much easier than I thought; the only work I had to do was allow Roman on top of my house, sign a contract, and hand over two checks. Now I have a roof that is warranteed for 10 years with the company. Thank you A&D!!

My Roof was leaking real bad, I Google roofer in my area and started getting calls. I choose three for estimates and selected A&D because they knew exactly what I needed with their modern technology and didnt waste my time and not to mention I got a good price, I even did my garage and added gutters.ThanksGreat Job.

They are professional, provide quality materials and were quick in completing the job. The workmanship is high quality. I was treated with respect, integrity and professionalism.The 3 gentlemen who worked on our garage did an excellent job. The job took 2.50 days. They worked very, very hard. At the end of each day they cleaned up everything. They never left scraps of materials in our backyard/front yard. They were very conscientious about cleaning up at the end of each day!We were informed the job will take 3 full days. They wrapped it up in 2.50 days. We were also informed the job would be started the week of Thanksgiving (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).They came 2 weeks earlier which worked out perfectly. We also appreciated having our garage done 2 weeks before Thanksgiving.They installed white facia, gutters and downspouts. They installed 2 new lights (which I purchased myself) at no extra cost. The trim around the window and doors looks fantastic.They installed plywood all around as well as Tyvek. We are very, very satisfied with the end result. I rarely give 5 star reviews, but A&D did an excellent job from beginning to end.They made it very easy. They are very knowledgeable and professional.We were kept in the loop at every step. I usually dont write reviews, especially negative ones. Last year I had a total tear off roof installed on one of my rental properties. The old roof was made from shake wood shingles where there is a lot of debri that falls off everywhere including the attic as there is no plywood underneath the shingles. Jose was my sales representative. He told me that they will come out on the next rainy day to clean up the debri in the attic as they were low on time. A few rainy days passed and they never came out or scheduled with me to come back out. The tenant wanted the attic cleaned as she used that space for storage. I called Jose again after several weeks and he never returned my call. I ended up losing my phone which had his number in it. I googled and called the office. I spoke with Sandy who is the front desk lady. She said she will have Jose call me. He never did call. I called again a few weeks later and again the same thing. I ended up just giving up on it as it was frustrating. A few weeks ago, Sandy called me to see how everything was going and asked me if I had any projects that they can assist with. I told her the situation with the roof debri not being picked up and she said she will be seeing Jose later on in the afternoon and she will have him give me a call regarding this. The next day I received a call from someone other than Jose. He asked me to take pictures of the attic debri and send to him as he said they dont clean up in the attic. I told him that, I was told by Jose that he will come back and clean up the debri as it is a lot and in the past I have done a similar tear down roof and they came and cleaned up the attic without any hesitation. Also if they dont clean up their mess, am I supposed to hire someone else to clean up after them?? I paid them 16k for this tear down roof. Whats the point of paying so much when I have to hire someone else to pick up after them. The guy on the phone was getting frustrated with me and I was getting frustrated with him as the call was going now where. He told me that he didnt like my attitude and hung up. I tried to call that number back to get his name but he didnt answer. I waited about a month now before writing this review to see if anyone from A & D will call me back to apologize and clean up the mess they left in the attic. This has not happened therefore I am writing this negative review. In the past I have used them for other jobs including windows and roof installation. I will not be using this company again due to their poor customer service. I have over 15 roofs in the Chicagoland area and I rather give my business to a company who stands by their word.

I had a very leaky roof due to wind damage which tore away shingles and left me with leaks in five places in my home. A&D came out, created temporary fixes, worked with my insurance company and installed a new quality roof in a very short period of time. Hats off to Jose who kept me informed, was prompt in responding to frantic calls and delivered what he promised.
