I was told to check out Pops. Very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful, I grabbed some house sausage and cooked it up. Delicious! Looking forward to trying more soon.

Staff is always friendly. Good variety of meats and marinades. Their sausages are spot on. Can be a bit on the salty side sometimes. They also carry bacon burgers (50/50 beef and bacon) and jalapeno cheddar burgers and they are delicious. Every once in a while they have authentic A-5 wagyu steaks and they have the certificate to show. Love having a local butcher shop close to the house.

After searching the web to find a butcher store Pops popped up. My husband and I recently moved here from both Florida and New Jersey when I walked into the store I was greeted with the warm welcome everything look fresh organized as well as delicious I was going to buy pork chops to make the butcher told me about their homemade maple glaze pork chops he also said they were known for their pineapple habanero sausage if you like spicy this is your sausage he gave me a piece to try I also tried their sweet sausage. We were so thrilled that everything tasted as amazing as it looked this will be our go to place for all our meets my husband passed the word on to all his coworkers who recently moved into the area as well thank you Debbie

The shop was well stocked, clean and inviting. The meats I purchased were exceptional. In addition, the staff was extremely helpful and remembered me when I returned a second time. Although I live in Rocklin,I am willing to make the trek for this type of quality service. Thank you, and keep doing what you do.

Frickin awesome. They also often have cuts that a lot of other places dont have. Plus pork, chicken, bison and lamb. A huge array of their own sauces, marinades and seasonings/rubs. Love the place already. Been a customer for a couple months.

You BBQr’s out there must swing by this place. There are sausages, sausages, sausages. Premartinated chicken, tri tip, pork and beef ribs. Beacon, whole, wings breasts of chicken and the like. A Huge selection of dry spices for your rubs and marinades. You have to see their dry aged ribeye and there giant tomahawk ribeye. There is no shortage of meat to try. The staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely check this place out.

Purchased 2 tri tip baby back ribs sausage and chicken from Danny, took them home and smoked and barbeque for a party, .meat came out tender with great flavor, quality market, will recommend to anyone who wants quality meat and personal people

Ive had nothing but good experiences in the past, but my visit yesterday absolutely wrecked my opinion.I ordered an Andouille sausage and an Aloha sausage (chicken + habanero). The employee wrapped them together. When I requested they be wrapped separate as they were going to different locations, the employee took the package back and returned them wrapped separately.I delivered the Aloha sausage package to my father and took the Andouille home for myself. I cooked what was in the Andouille package today, and my son requested a bite as soon as it was done. I cut a small piece off and tested the temperature, then gave him the small piece. He immediately spit it out and began bawling. Lo and behold, Id been given the Aloha sausage in an Andouille wrapper.Now my father does not have what he wanted, I have a sausage I wont eat, and my son spent five minutes crying because the habanero oils burned his mouth.

Its pretty rare to find stores or shops anywhere anymore that arent franchised or part of a major chain, and even once you find one they dont always leave the best impressions. This is definitely one of the exceptions. Pops of Elk Grove checks all of the boxes in what youd want from a local neighborhood meat market. I wish in one review I could tell you everything that this shop is doing perfectly but I dont think I have the words for it. The customer service is some of the best Ive ever had. The guys are friendly and eager to not only help you find what youre looking for but also to answer any questions you might have. They carry a wide variety of not only meats but also lines of seasonings, marinades, and rubs including house blends perfect for any occasion. You could mess around and get your chicken breast or your ground beef from a chain store but to be honest, why would you want to with the perfect selection right down the street? Stop in, see the guys, and load up for the grilling season ahead.

Vary good place to get your meat good quality (must ck out his BBQ tri-tip) and a family own business that cares about there customers

Went in to look for some ribs. And walked out with a new BBQ(Green Mountain Grill-AWESOME) and more than I anticipated ! Great prices on everything ! Bryan’s got a great attitude, & always willing to help his customers !

This place is wonderful. Brian, Danny and staff are very responsive and service oriented. They have done a wonderful job with running the shop. There branded spices are great. I have used 3 of them so far and have not been disappointed. I am waiting for them to start selling hot links soon. Quality meats without a doubt.

The entire staff was VERY friendly, customer service was very helpful. The whole shop smelled amazing, which says a lot for a butcher. House marinated meats were well seasoned. I came all the way from Antelope, and will be back.

Ive been 2x now and Im addicted!! Weve bought the marinated chicken wings, carne asada (twice) and Korean short ribs. All of them were delicious!! Love the variety of products and the service is excellent. My new favorite place for quality meat 😍

Best customer service by far. Ask all the questions you want about meats,cuts,and, cooking they have the answer. Phenomenal dry rubs and sauces. I bought the 916 BBQ box and it was a great value for all the meat you get for only $99. Most definitely made some friends in the meat market. Brain and Dan are very honest and trustworthy.

I live almost an hour away from Pops, but their meat is worth the drive! The shop is always clean and the guys that work there are friendly and helpful. You have to try the Aloha sausage, the pork ones with pineapple and habanero....so delicious!! Literally the best tasting sausage I have ever eaten! If you have never been there, you NEED to go!!!

Local small butcher stores like this are great. Quality is always very high. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have dry aged beef which is very rare. Their home made sausages are also amazing.

Whet there this afternoon. Says they open @ 12pm. & Are closed Tue & Wed. Waited 25min after 12 they did not open. Went back an hour later still not open. .There was someone inside but never opened.
