I feel so compelled to write this review in regards to having my sound system installed by west coast in Elk Grove. Initially I came with my own equipment which was not hooked up right and came back the next day and I spoke with a gentleman by the name of JR. This Man And his crew went above and beyond with reinstalling my entire system taken away and replacing items that I had purchased from there shop to give me the quality sound I had desired. My music system they hooked up today sounds so amazing, I mean clear Crisp QUALITY SOUND and let’s not forget the subwoofers. Never once did I feel rushed or unheard with the mini questions I had to ask, To be honest I felt like I was around Family. Had a JL W7 and HD 750.1 installed.Initial install needed tuning as there was a ANC issue with bass hum when accelerating.Fixed the issue and went beyond for a great install experience.JR was my point of contact and I have to say, he is the most knowledgeable person in car audio I have ever met. A true audiophile and a lover of the old REF series Sound Stream like myself.There are many people who do car audio. There are very few that love car audio.Best advice when doing any install: Write down exactly what your expectations are and what you want done with what the installer understands will be the work. Ive dealt with West Coast for years but every since it been under new management it has gone down hill. I recently contacted them because my subwoofer wasnt working. Took it down there told me it was only a fuse. After that heard nothing but rattling. Called back made an appointment. Went there only to find out that moved. Drove all the way to only sit for an hour and find out that were not ready to be open at new spot. Took my car to M L Audio and was told it was a poor installation. My car sounds great now!

I had an issue with an aftermarket unit I was installing. I brought the harnesses in and they had alot of information. They were a real help!!!!!!!

The tint is good but theres no waiting area inside, they only have one chair inside. i saw other customers just wait outside or stand inside the store.the owner and workers didnt offer any place for me or to the other customers to wait. and it took almost 3hrs wait for my car to be done.

Went in after a couple of years. Found James was running the place. Awesome! Did a deck swap without issue and got my steering wheel controls back. Also found the doors auto lock again. Bonus! I will be back for the full system in the future. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN!!!!!

Called this place before I arrived and explained my situation. They Told me to come in and the guys will check it out and tell me my options. As soon as I entered I was immediately asked to complete contact info for something still dont know what. Lol. What I was told over phone was ignored and rep tried to upsale me a max it kit with accessories that apparently was going to be expensive enough they wanted me to complete an application to FINANCE the alarm system.( Max It 85.00 online ) They probably do great work, however they are way too pricey, did not even inspect my vehicle current alarm and went over everything except what I asked for when I contacted.

James set me up with an amp kit, wish I would of had my phone, found out I bought a kit three times the price of what it should be. Went back in to return and he said the way the system is set up he cant do a return, what a rip off make sure you check prices before making a decision here i wont be returning

The first time there was great, great customer service Junior knew his product and whats best for you and your vehicle concerned about what the customer actually wants. although the second time I was there it was a bad experience with the manager being rude and snobby facial remarks as if we were obligated to buy products from their store in order to have installation. headquarters in Los Angeles many other stores they have no issues with bringing in outside product to be installed.

Called for window tint, they said to bring it in they are available. Told them I would be there at 11:30am -12pm. They said perfect. Arrive at 11:40am and they said they could not tint my car. Because they took in walk instead, Horrible customer service.

I went to get a stereo mount and they coned me into buying some speakers I didn’t even need then said I couldn’t return them and the bag for the mount was open and missing parts would not recommend shopping here unless u know a-lot about car audio speaker’s they where no help at all and overpriced

Cant say enough of professionalism

I went to go get my windows tint took about 2 hours that was cool but once I got it a lot of air bubbles showed I called told me to wait a week so I did. I went in to do it again made me wait for about 5-6 hours for something they messed up on so I wasted my time there and it still has air bubbles the second time I just don’t feel like wasting another 6 hours in my day. And since it was taking so long I called telling them I had to leave to work soon than 20 mins later they called saying it was done. I most likely won’t be going back. And they chipped a piece of my paint on the doorjam which sucks because it will most likely rust and I just got the car like 6 months ago. I would stay away from there go somewhere else.

Just called this place to see if they carried an item. The lady who answered the phone didn’t know and said to come in. I told her no, I don’t live in Elk Grove, that’s why I’m calling...She put me on hold and a guy picked up and I asked the same question and he was able to answer. I asked him if he could give me pricing and he said no, not over the phone. Just lost my business.

Dropped my car for window tint yesterday afternoon at Saturday 2pm JULY 19th 2020 and called me asking to leave it overnight cause their out of materials to complete it. They called today 1129am JULY 20th 2020 that its ready for pick up. The staff seems like reasonable human beings as far how they converse and respond to customers like me.I took the car just minutes ago, I checked the outside looks neat and advised me to ignore the bubbles and never roll the windows down for 3 days.Sad and I feel so bad realized what I discovered! A small CRACKED front windshield on passenger side. The looks of it forced with a pointed nail like punch to the glass.Whoever did it is so hateful and I want to say I hope to WHOEVER DID IT have unfortunate events in life or least to say have a bad life experience too, to remind them to being fair and upright!

And the mech that worked on my car did ABOVE AND BEYOND. My car was all messed up. He put in a fuse, and fixed my positive wire problem without extra charge. WORST SERVICE EVER. I called and spoke to the manager a few days earlier scheduled and made apt to bring in my boat to have system rewired. I drove 4 hours away to have them redone. When I got there I didnt care how much it cost. I made an appointment and he said he couldnt help me not today nor tomorrow it may be the wkend. Smh wow really whats the point of making appointment and driving 4 hours for. Wow so I left to another place.

I Visited West Coast Car Audio trying to find 4 AWG wire by the foot for an Ham Radio install I was doing. The gentleman behind the counter was kind,helpful, and polite. First thing he did was shake my hand and introduce himself. Then he knew right away what I was asking for. The price was fair and he even threw in some extras like connectors and a fuse block. I will definitely return and would recommend this place for your car audio needs.

They have good options for your car if you want to get your windows tinted or if you want to put a sound system in your car they are actually one of the best I am going to get some work done on my car when I get the time I would like to get my windows tinted and they have about six different shades of tent so yeah its a good place and the people are very knowledgeable that work there of course its a lot of men so I felt a little uncomfortable being a woman not knowing what I really wanted when I went in there but they were helpful so that was good

I wanted to buy some tweeters prior to going to their store so I called them to see if they had any of the ones I wanted in stock. I specifically wanted some RF tweeters (they have 3 levels of them, prime, punch, and power) and the guy said they only had the punch and power, which was fine with me. So I drive out there and when I got there they took me into their inventory room. Immediately he tried to sell me a brand that I didnt call about. Im no beginner to car audio, but he doesnt know that, so I politely decline and said Id like to stay with RF. When he takes me to the aisle with the RF equipment I noticed he called the prime products punch and the punch products power. I looked around and didnt see a single power product on their shelves. But, they had the one I wanted so I asked if they would price match Amazon which had the same product for about 40% less. He then told me that they couldnt do that because Amazon doesnt have a face to talk to in case something happens. What he means is there is not specific person from Amazon and you end up getting a different representative each time you call. I said I understand and then I mentioned Sonic Electronix which DOES have a specific representative if you were to call them and yet he said they still werent able to price match with them. At this point, I realized that they didnt do price matching but say they do to get customers to come in, basically using a bait/switch technique. After that, I told them that I would look else where and left.Customer service on the phone wasnt all that great either, it felt like the person didnt like their job and didnt want to help me.Overall, if you arent experienced with car audio I would avoid this place. They tried to take advantage of me by trying to sell me more expensive products that I didnt want. If I wasnt knowledgeable then I wouldve felt more inclined to go for the products they offered instead of what I had in mind. If you have to go to this place, take a friend who knows their stuff.

Yesterday 8/12/17 My brother left his truck in your care at your Elk Grove, Ca location to have them fix the remote wire for an audio system this same location installed two weeks ago. Your employee Ed, stated he would leave his truck parked outside locked and I could pick it up with my spare key after hours. My brother arrived to your location at approximately 10pm to not find his truck on your property or the premises surrounding your business. He then called CHP and filed a report for stolen vehicle.We arrived at your Elk Grove, Ca location 8/13/17 to speak with a manager. The manager Ed stated he did not have access and was failing to assist. He did not provide next course of action, We asked him to contact the owners and stated he didnt reach have away of communicating with them. We need immediate resolution before pursing Legal matters. We are appalled with the treatment and service, his vehicle was stolen under your businesses care.
