I made the mistake of getting most of my initial supplies online. I finally went to 3rd Horse per a friends recommendation and was amazed by the selection and the prices. He had a better selection in one place than I could find online across several sites. His prices are competitive and sometimes less than what I found online. Highly recommended! Support local!

Third Horse is a great place. David is awesome and really helpful. He is a treasure trove of knowledge and advice about brewing. The store has a generous amount of malt, hop, and yeast varieties. They also have a large amount of kits, pots, and various utensils needed for making that perfect batch of beer or wine. In addition to all of those they also dabble in cheese making and craft soda. There is always something new to check out and I always leave happy!

Absolutely blown away, they have everything you would ever want or need, all under one (albeit large) roof. Their beer selection alone is mind-blowing and the employees knew more than I did and I was taken aback because this has never happened me before. They have a little bar with some craft beer options, but if you go to the barber on Friday you can get tokens for a free beer (unfortunately, only domestic beer is free). Other than that, nice people and inexpensive beer options. Its nice to have a beer and get your haircut.
