Steve is absolutely incredible. Unlike Mr. Tire, he doesnt pressure you into spending more money. He genuinely cares about each and every one of his customers, and has a great personality to boot. I moved to Glen Burnie, but I still drive 20 minutes to get to him. Nobody else is touching my car but Dependable and AAA!

I have used Dependable for a number of years. They keep my car running well. Mostly I have used them for maintenance like tire rotation and oil change and brakes . I have had them do a repair as well. All work is always timely, fairly priced, thorough and DEPENDABLE.

This is a great business--highly recommended. I stopped by 10 minutes before they closed, after the front tire of my VW blew out on the highway. The owner inspected my tire and installed my spare wheel, all without charging me (I offered to pay him but he declined). He suggested I find a local tire dealer who would have the correct sized tire in stock. Would definitely return to the shop, except that I dont live in the area.

They went above and beyond to make sure my service work was complete and up to their standard. I brought my car to have my brakes and rotors serviced. Per the advice of my dealership (where I was not going to have service work done) I had my front rotors resurfaced. After a few months I started having pulsation when braking that continually got worse. I contacted the shop (via email which is so convenient) and was told to bring it in and they would fix the problem without charge since I had work done recently. David told me that they typically would not have resurfaced (except for the fact I said that was what was recommended to me by the dealership) and would have originally replaced the rotors and wanted to make sure I saw the quality work they stand by. I was so impressed at their customer service and effort to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the service they provide. My husband was shocked at their customer service as well. When David told me to bring it back in and they would fix the problem my husband thought there had to be a catch, but nope. I have lived in Columbia 10 years and struggled to find an auto shop I trusted to give me real advice (and not try to get me to buy services that arent really necessary) and I have finally found it. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!!

I mostly go for inspections and have been pleased to find that they are not generating business by attempting to find things to fail. I do all of my own work and its a relief that I dont have to worry about having to fix extra stuff. Lots of space in the parking lot - not jammed up like those gas station inspection stations / garages. The gent at the desk is A+.

I have been taking all three of my vehicles there for years. They are very competitive with their pricing. Some others maybe a little cheaper but Dependable Auto gives 5 star all around service and advice. They are my go to fix it company for all my cars in Eldridge.

I just moved to Baltimore, and after my second week at work, my car broke down. I wasnt exactly sure what was wrong with it, but after contacting my family friend / mechanic from LA, we assumed it was either the battery or the alternator. Called AAA to send the battery test car out, and found out that it was most likely the alternator. Spent a few minutes talking with the AAA guy about where to take the car, and eventually he suggested Dependable Auto.Eventually had the car towed there, and showed up to the shop in the morning (8am). Dave at the front test was really easy to talk to, and confirmed based on my description that it sounded like the alternator. He said there were some cars ahead of me but they would try and look at it by the end of the day. By noon, they head already done the tests on the car, confirmed it needed an alternator, and gave me the quote. I did my homework, and called 5-6 different shops including the Toyota Dealership for a quote on the repair, and Dependable Autos quote was at least $300 less than the competitors. After talking to my family mechanic, they gave me the right price for the parts and actual labor time on the car. I also had it back within a day and a half. Needless to say, they held true to their mission of having integrity as well as were true to their cause of not predatorially pricing. Wont think of going anywhere else in Maryland!

Dependable Auto Services has been one of the main shops that I attend for the servicing of my vehicles: service, inspection, and diagnostic repairs. The staff has priced their service at the top of the line as a result of them being top of the line in service and quality of workmanship. Great. About 10-15% higher cost relative to other auto shops, but I keep going back as I like what I get for that extra. Crystal clear communication on what the issues are and timeline + cost to fix, and good advice on when fixing the car is not worth it. Would recommend these guys

Ive been here a couple times. Dave completed an inspection for me and another time brakes. I was pleased with both. I have mentioned Dave to several of my friends and recently someone called me about needing some auto work done and I sent them to Dave. Dave was very personable and friendly with me so I believe hes that way with others. I believe that Dave and his team are honest, the prices are reasonable, and they do great work! Its hard to find all of these qualities at one place but I think Dependable Auto Services has it. They are definitely my go to for auto care. I really appreciate Dave.

Ive been here a few times, and Dependable Auto has always been excellent. The work is always perfect, and very, very fast. Prices are reasonable. Staff never tries to up-sell extra work, and always reveals when less work is needed. Definitely my go-to mechanic!

Expensive for Maryland inspection. My car didnt pass the inspection. They told me inner and outer rods needed to change. And also they add note that the axle is shanking they felt. They told they could fix both over 1000$. I took my car to another service they found that they type the wrong rods needed to change and axle was ok. And Ive changed all rods and other stuff fixed only 300$. And then I turned back for complete inspection and passed. So be aware that.

So I read all the positive reviews, and I thought that maybe some of them were fabricated etc... Nope, Dependable auto says it all in the name. They are honest with you and will tell you what needs to be done now, or what can wait with your car. Reasonably priced, and better service than I have received at any Dealer or other mechanic. Dave also is great at giving advice when its time to trade in your car, as it became a sore joke every time I showed up to the shop with my old yellow Jeep. They congratulated me when I finally got a new car, and they will continue to get my service, as well as my referrals.

I cannot recommend Dependable Auto enough. We discovered them after being displeased with a couple shops after we moved into the area. Dave and his staff have been friendly, professional, and willing to help in a pinch when weve needed it.

I have toWe took one of our service (e350)vans to get checked out because it was running roughThey called 3 days later saying it needed a new motor because apparently the piston made contact with the spark plug and blew the plug out of the head, this was not soWe took it to Albright services and all it needed was a new spark plug and coil packThe van runs great now 👍We have paperwork on all of these actionsAnd our company didn’t say anything last time when about a 1 year ago you condemned another e350 van saying cylinder number 2 and 4 lost compression and said THAT one needed a motor toTook it to Albright and all it was just a clogged catalytic converter in exhaust system 🤣Thank God our team is mechanically inclined and caught thisOther then that the small work we have had done Their was goodI think your techs need better tools or training to fully understand how a engines operateJust for the record I don’t think you guys do engine swaps anyway so we didn’t feel like we were getting scammed just mis informed

I have a 2010 Subaru Forester with ~41K miles. The brakes started squealing during a long road trip, so I thought it was time to have them changed. Of course the squealing stopped a day before my appointment, but I brought it in anyway. Within an hour, Dave (the owner) called to tell me they had taken it for a test drive and inspected the brakes, and everything seemed fine. Let me reiterate: I was prepared to shell out some cash for new brake pads, but rather than treat me like a fool they were honest. Moreover, they did the check for free. I was blown away.I liked this place so much I asked them to do my 30K scheduled maintenance, which was admittedly overdue. They charged a very reasonable price ($370) and had it done in a few hours.Finding an honest mechanic can be a frustrating experience, but I think I finally found one.

These guys are amazing! I needed a replacement engine mount ... they beat all competing quotes and did the service in record time. Plus, the manager took the time to show me exactly what was wrong with the old engine mount both before & after it had been replaced.This is a small family-run shop, which I like because those types of places always work extra hard to be friendly and professional. The shop may not look great, but it certainly does great work, and thats what matters. I will be using them as my go-to auto shop from now on.

I was not informed my inspection was not good for more than 30 days. I wasted $75 and when asked the mechanic said 1000 and 30 days. Well why wasnt that stated when I got the inspection. Then they wanted to charge me $80 bucks for windshield wipers and when I declined he said just give me what you got. Poor Customer Service

We had a great experience- took our SUV in for broken AC and rattling noises. We have an extended warranty. Dave was great- we got a diagnosis, he got it cleared with our warranty, ordered a part and the car was fixed and ready for pick up in less than 48 hours. I will definitely be using them again!

This is my go-to auto repair shop! Its so nice to be able to just bring your car in and not have to worry about the dishonesty and stress that normally comes along with car repair centers. Dave always explains the necessary repairs needed on my older car and what I can wait on. I appreciate that level of honesty. If I dont understand what a certain repair entails, I dont feel uncomfortable asking about it and am given a very patient and thorough explanation. The pricing is always given up front and there are never any surprises when you get the final bill. Very fair. These guys are great and I would not take my car anywhere else!

Dependable found a problem with the brake job Id had done before I moved up here-- a problem that could have ended up costing me for new brakes, even though these brakes WERE new. The shop is clean, organized, and impressive, and the location is great. I wont go anywhere else as long as I live in Maryland.

Good service. Overcharged the hours. Charged 1.5 hours of labor ($130) for changing two break pads (not 4 like we thought they were going to do). Changing just the front break pads should only take about 45 mins to an hour but I guess they are desperate for our money. Not the most expensive but definitely costing more than they should.
