Oh my goodness!!! Delicious delicious wholesome cuisine created with the intention of nourishing people in every way. I had the soul soothing kitchery. Followed by raisin pudding that was FABULOUS! And some of the best chai I’ve ever tasted. Very unique and perfectly created. Plus the people are so beautiful and welcoming. Thanks to Natasha for her heart warming genius!!!
My dad, grandma, and I had a wonderful experience here today! They both got the Chicken Sandy and I got the Earthy Buddha Bowl with a fried egg and tofu added, as well as the Green Energizer smoothie. Very impressed with the quality of the food and the taste! It’s a great place if you’re looking for a filling, healthy, wholesome dish that is different from your everyday meal. Highly recommend!
My husband and I went here because it had really good reviews. We decided to check it out and we weren’t disappointed! I got the Earthy Buddha bowl with a Punjabi Chai tea and Clementine cake and all of it was delicious. They were very accommodating for my allergies which are dairy and gluten. Great vibes and great staff. We will definitely be coming here again in the future. Here is a pic of my Earthy Buddha bowl! ❤️
Wow! Awesome! I am gluten free and had the Buddha Bomb with Salmon added. Plus a bit of hot sauce. Complex variety of flavors. If I lived near instead of a 6 day drive away I would be here to eat several times a week! I drove up from the Acadia Schoodic campground to eat here. So glad I did:)
THE BEST food in the greater Ellsworth area. Have had the Buddha Bomb and kale salad so far and both are divine. It’s healthy and tasty and I’m going to drag all of my in-laws here. It’s a much needed break from the greasy spoon and standard fries and beer. I’d do both lunch and dinner here any day of the week. A MUST !!!!! Also all the servers were kind and helpful. Looking forward to the next time I can come and eat this deliciousness.
Im from NYC on business and was looking for healthy options. Ordered the Grilled Steak Strips with Maple Glazed Beets & Sweet Potato Mash. Not easy to find healthy options while on the road; this was the exception. What a wonderful find. I highly recommend this eatery.
After wandering around town for food the name caught our eye on the map. Although it was not out in the limelight of the main street it was a worthwhile find. The soups and bowls were portioned well and were reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and answered any and all questions with a smile. Although we didnt have time for some yoga we did purchase some lovely scented products on display. An overall great trip for some good food.
Delicious food for both veggie lovers and carnivores. My family was happy with the menu options! Lovely outdoor seating overlooking a yard. Highly recommend the earthy Buddha bowl and homemade chai was perfect for a crisp day.
The Steak Sammie is my favorite! Along with the vegan chocolate chip cookies and hot or iced chai latte is so amazing Ive ever had a chai like it before. Love everything!
This place is a hidden treasure. The food was fantastic. Extremely healthful, but not entirely vegetarian. Very clean too.
Such a happy place! The people that run the cafe and studio are so amazing! The food is out of this world! The sour dough is a must, and dont forget to try a dirty chai! #nom
My wife and I are still here, just finished our lunch. I needed good wifi (which they have), my wife took a yoga class - which she really enjoyed - and we found some fabulous food. We shared a Buddha Bomb and the clean sweet potato soup, both really delicious. Highly recommend.
Yummy, healthy food, great service, calming ambience. We arrived 15 minutes before they closed and had the most accommodating, friendly and greatest service.
Yes!!! Healthy delicious life-giving food!! I have been looking for a spot like this for ages, so glad we finally found it! The counter staff was super nice and food was awesome, thank you! The courtyard looks really relaxed and beautiful as well- can’t wait to come back on a sunny afternoon. ☀️ 😊 🌷Also great vegetarian, vegan, non-dairy options and looks kid and family-friendly.
Highly recommend checking out this gem if you’re passing through to get to Acadia and/or staying nearby. Healthy & delicious.
The bowls were both delicious flavor-wise, but they were mostly rice&quinoa (you can add a protein for additional cost, which takes the price up to nearly $20 for one bowl). The tea was $7, which seemed like a lot, but I decided to splurge; unfortunately, it tasted excessively of turmeric and was not tasty. The meal (of two vegetarian bowls— mostly rice/quinoa— and hot turmeric water) came to $50. The service & the vibes of the place were good, but it was extremely overpriced.
Why is there no 6-star rating available for this unique, creative, high quality cafe. Ate here 2x in one week and the food, atmosphere and service was top notch.
Stopped here with my Wife while we were vacationing in Bar Harbor. She usually hates mushrooms, unrelentingly, and she ate all the mushrooms here. I had steak strips with ginger sweet potato mash and beets. She had the earthy bowl.Well definitely stop here again when were in the area.
A hidden gem, some of the best food I’ve had in Ellsworth. We got the Earthy Buddha Bowl and the Steak Sandy and both dishes were so tasty! The utensils and to-go containers are compostable and they even gave us free mini rice puddings. Will definitely be back again!
We had a wonderful group yoga/breakfast experience here while staying at under canvas! What a gem ❤️. Yoga was phenomenal and breakfast was too...A++
Great discovery in Ellsworth today!!! Steamy Buddha Cafe is a delicious fresh healthy and unique cuisine! Perfect dining on a sunny deck opens to a gorgeous open wooded site!
Ordered the Sweet and Spicy bowl with Salmon. The young man cooking shows a lot of potential, but the fish was undercooked. Leave it in the pan longer and don’t ever feel rushed even if they’re standing right there. Other than the fish (which I ate anyway - don’t be like me), it was really tasty.
Really good food and extremely nice staff! Could not be happier with what I had taking into the fact that this a new area and my family and I are on vacation :)
Cool vibe but food was pricey and lacked much flavor.
One of our fav places in Maine. So healthy with a touch of Indian flavour.
I haven’t tried the food, so this is a glowing yoga review only. Love the vibe here at Steamy and they are practicing a solid Bikram style program. I still have a lot of work to do before I can keep up with all 26 postures, as I came from a mostly flowing hot vinyasa style practice before. While I tried this range of yoga previously on occasions where I travelled, it was not my home practice until now. So it’s hot. And hotter as time goes on. Take an hour long class if this is your first time practicing with heat. Also, drink gallons of water well before class and long after. The teachers have been kind to me during hot 90 minute sessions by opening a window near the middle, but I hope to eventually build up the stamina to not rely on this. Overall for me the main difference between a flow practice and being here is that here I am balancing and focusing more, but not really stressing my joints or even flexing any upper muscles to the extent that I am used to. So I feel a bit weaker up top but also more centered and clear overall from a meditation perspective. Give it a try and see what you think.
Beautiful space for yoga, dance and other wellness-related events/activities. Natasha and the rest of the Steamy Buddha Community was very supportive and enthusiastic when I presented my Gong Journeywork and Community Kirtan events last year. And did I mention the food??? Amazing!
My friend and I were very excited to order from there just get there and see that the two people there didn’t have on mask, this includes the cashier and the cook. Not only did they don’t have masks on, but they were touching the food with their bare hands.
Great tasting vegetarian food
The staff was very friendly, helpful and patient with me on the phone. I am pretty particular about my food and asked several questions about different options on the menu and was very happy with the customer service I received. On top of that, I chose the earthy Buddha bowl with a poached eggs added on. I was not at all disappointed, in fact I was very impressed with the balance of flavors and had worried about liking the pickled beets in the dish but absolutely loved them and the rest of the dish. I will go again and recommend this place to others!
We stumbled upon this place starving after a hike and had the best salmon sandy’s of our lives - sourdough took the cake! Their original chai with milk is beyond amazing and don’t even start with the fresh juice, it’s a big portion and so so fresh!
I love this spot!! I originally came for the yoga, but the cafe is awesome, too. mmm get the dirty chai latte 💓 and enjoy it while relaxing on the peaceful back porch. The owner, Natasha Sidhu, is a delight : an incredible teacher and a sweet soul. You will instantly feel embraced when you arrive to Steamy Buddha. Looking forward to my next visit!
FINALLY A REAL HOT YOGA STUDIOMoving to Maine from NY was a major adjustment. I was underwhelmed with the choices for hot yoga. This place is the real deal. Real hot yoga heat: the right temperature and humidity. I am willing to drive a considerable amount of time to take classes at this studio. They place is brand new very clean and has separate showers for men and women. Natasha the owner is warm inviting, knowledgeable and an excellent teacher. If you are looking for a hot yoga class: you should definitely try the Steamy buddha! You will find me there🤗
This is the most amazing new eatery in Ellsworth. So tasty and energizing. Friendly staff and good Karma abounds!
Great cafe. Amazing food and great energy. Go for the yoga, shower and stay for an amazing breakfast or lunch!
Very good food that was refreshing and filling.
Experience union with your true nature at Steamy Bhuddha!
