Worse service ever!! I sent a basket to my friend and it has arrived totally ruined for the cake that broke in pieces!! The costumer service said to me that this is not their problem and that I should have payed for the same day delivery ($300.00). I payed $250.00 for the gift and theres no refund or replacement.
Theyre scam artists that used to operate under the name Hazeltons. Youll overpay for a basket that will arrive spoiled, damaged, and/or with a cheaper selection of items that are nothing like the product you actually ordered. Stay far, far away from this company.
It was a TERRIBLE experience! I ordered the gift on 4/30/2021 and it was delivered a day late to the wrong address. It was suppose to be a surprise anniversary gift. UPS delivered it to the address on the shipping label that was wrong! It was suppose to be Terrace not Street. I’ve sent multiple emails and they won’t respond to my emails. Terrible customer service!!! Have never been scammed like this before....please don’t order unless you too want to be scammed and spend hours and days trying to get ahold of someone to help you. You will be out a lot of money and they don’t care. Please read the other reviews I sure wish I had!!! Won’t fall for that ever again!
Unfortunately zero stars is not an option. I hope this business is closed soon they are crooks. I ordered a gift basket for my wifes birthday. She is away visiting her sister in Dallas. When i searched for local delivery gifts Hazeltons came up. I liked the customizable options, so I ordered a basket with a cake, some cheese, vodka and other things she likes. A day later I received notification that the order had shipped from CT and would take 4 days! with perishable items!I got a text from my wife with the attached photo of the cake that was extremely poor quality, and smooshed. I called her and apologized. She said it arrived in a packing box with the items thrown in. did not include my card, or the special box I had ordered, the vodka leaked and she had to throw everything away.I notified Hazeltons and they asked for photos of the items. I sent the photo of the cake and told them everything was thrown out and that I wanted a refund. They offered to send another cake. I was furious so I called them. They said that their terms of service stated that items sent beyond on day shipping required expedited shipping (i think that cost a couple hundred dollars). There was absolutely now way of knowing this. Their website does not have their address anywhere, not even in the contact section. They refuse to refund my purchase. I spent a lot of money thinking my wife would be happy with the customized items. instead she is disappointed and I am furious.This company is money grubbing trash. they care nothing about their services. They are horrible no good theives.
Our relatives from Singapore sent us this gift which was supposed to arrive on Dec. 23 but instead arrived yesterday Dec. 29 late in the evening by UPS. When we opened the box, to our dismay and disappointment it was poorly packed only with a 1/4 filled with Styrofoam pellets. The stem of the orchard was fractured or broken and the flowers were withered. I called their 1-800 number and also sent an email to Hazelton but had no response. We would like a replacement or a refund. Thanks!
This company is a scam. Do not order from here. I ordered a customized package and expedited shipping. It never delivered. The customer service was rude when they finally answered the phone - which is barely. They do not respond to emails. Currently waiting on paypal to send me my money back. Go to gourmetgiftbaskets.com if you want a truly positive experiences. So thankful I found that alternative.
Why is ZERO not an option yet? This company is an absolute scam. Ordered on 12/26 for a 12/31 delivery and have not heard one word from the company. The customer service number only lets you leave a message that will not be returned and even the live chat on their website goes unanswered. Please stop giving them business, and I wish I had read the reviews prior to ordering as their website claims five star reviews on everything!

I ordered a champagne and artisanal meat and cheese basket from Hazeltons Gift Baskets, which I am now learning is run by The Gift Group, to be delivered to my parents house for their retirement. First, it did not arrive on the delivery day I selected, but rather two days early. I wanted it delivered on that specific day so that my parents could open it as a surprise while we all did a Zoom call to celebrate. Not a single item received matched what is listed in the product description. The basket didnt even have any meat in it and it was supposed to be a MEAT AND CHEESE basket. The cutting board and knives were not included. The items that were substituted were not comparable at all to what was supposed to be in the basket. This is an absolute joke. I wrote to customer service asking for a refund or delivery of the actual basket that I ordered and they said no because all the substitutions were similar items and that I agreed to this before purchasing but these items are not similar. It was clearly a canned response probably because they get these kinds of complaints all the time. When my mother sent me a picture I was mortified because of how wrong everything was. They gave them pasta. What the heck does pasta have to do with a meat and cheese basket?! They also included some kind of pepper jelly but nothing that made sense to eat it with like crackers. I wrote a review on their website and of course its hidden because of how bad it is. They have an F with the BBB and terrible reviews on Yelp as well. Please avoid like the devil.
I am so surprised at the comments regarding amazing customer service on their website. Be aware, too, that they somehow showed up as a Washington-area local gift company called Hazeltons but are, in fact, run by this company called The Gift group. Agent said they were in Connecticut but this listing places them in New Jersey. I ordered a gift basket and selected a delivery date for the next day - assuming it would arrive at least within the next day or two, accounting for shipping times. However, once you get through placing the order, you have to choose the right shipping option (at extremely exorbitant prices) to actually get your preferred shipping date. Hidden in the terms and conditions, apparently, is the caveat that it might not arrive at what they call the preferred date of delivery - unless you want to pay double the price, of course. After receiving an order confirmation (that still indicated the date of delivery I chose, especially with the price I paid), I received no further updates until a week later, when it was confirmed delivered. After calling the 1-800 number several times and being put on hold before reaching a customer service agent, that agent refused to acknowledge that the information is misleading and continually asserted that I was in the wrong. Will never use Hazeltons again, personally, or for business. Just be up front about your shipping times - there is no way youre not aware of how misleading it is, and it is intentionally to bring in those customers looking for quick shipping.
Horrible. Product arrived crushed and box torn with juice from the fruit covering all of the contents. Sent GiftGroup pictures and other details to which they responded that they are unable to compensate for the damages that occurred. and they hope we understand their position.I think I do understand your position....you are a terrible company that does not care about your customers and have no intention of standing behind your product. By the looks of the other reviews I think many people understand your position.
Dont embarass yourself. Their website promotes typical 1 day delivery and shows pics of lovely gift items. My $95+ Natures Bounty gift arrived 4 days after the order was placed. I called after 2 days and their customer service rep was rude, abrupt and unapologetic for the delay. Came to find out it hadnt yet shipped! Once received the recipient called to thank us for the thoughtful gift but expressed dismay at the presentation and contents. The box had no indication of which side was UP. The cheese board was a bottle opener mounted on wood intended to be hung on the wall. The plant was upside down with the soil displaced from its container. It was wilted and sad looking. The candle had no wrapper, decoration, scent or any indication of a manufacturer. The upcharge of $45 for the Amarone wine was worth it as it appeared to be the only decent item in the box. Epic failure! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....
We ordered an almost $90 gift basket of chocolate covered strawberries and champagne, only to get a basket with $20 worth of champagne and chocolate bars. The company has so far refused to do a refund for outright sending the incorrect item- one that isn’t even comparable at that. They state that because of their FAQs they can replace any item at will as needed- yet they give no warning or heads up that the items would be replaced for items of a lesser value. Their excuse is that perishable items can’t be shipped- but then why advertise a product and say it can be shipped ground within 1-3 days and take my money only to say that it’s not available as is because you couldn’t verify the shipping time and it took more than a week to get to its destination? They were quick to take my money and pull a fast one on me by not delivering what was expected. Imagine if you ordered and paid for a four course meal only to have delivered to you a one dollar hamburger and then be told that they just changed your order just because and that’s it? False advertising, horrible customer service that doesn’t get back to you and a product that doesn’t match what you paid for. If I could give zero stars I would. I will never purchase from them again and would never recommend this company again.
This company is horrible!!! Do NOT EVER ORDER from them. There is no way to get in touch with them after your order is places. The phone calls for to voice mails, the emails have auto responses that they will eventually get answered. MY deliver to a dear friend not only was way beyond the delivery date I paid for, but it did not look like the photo and was damaged. Again NO way to communicate with them. Also, on their website they have links to social media pages- none o them are correct. They should be ashamed. NEVER EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!
I wished I had read the Google reviews instead of the company fake reviews. This company is a scam, I ordered edible fruit for my cousin who had a surgery and i paid for expedited shipping and it has been over a week and it still hasn’t been shipped! I can’t get through to anyone on customer service to try to get my refund back. I emailed but no one gets back to you. I’m going to try to contact PayPal and try to get my money back that way since am being ignored! Please people be aware of this company and I can’t believe it’s even in services. I spent over $145 and you can’t even get someone to the phone! This is beyond despicable.
Wish I could leave zero stars! The requested date of delivery was 8/27 and was not delivered until 9/5. I repeatedly asked to cancel this order before it was shipped. This package was delivered without a signature required. The package sat outside my parents house in the hot summer heat for more than 30 hours with no packaging to keep perishable items cold.This gift only contained one of the items I selected. My parents are elderly, and both recently had extensive dental procedures. I selected two soft cheeses, Le Chatelain Camembert and Western Dairy Creamy Brie. They received hard provolone. I ordered Chocolate dipped strawberries and Truffles with Brandy, they received Almond Roca, a hard toffee with nuts. They also received a jar of mustard and garlic salsa. Were these substitutions for chocolate or cheese? I don’t understand why they would accept an order they cannot fulfill or why they wouldnt cancel the order as I requested.
I just recieve my order in the mail on the wrong date. This was supposed to come Christmas eve a little surprise for my husband, but to make matters MUCHHHH worse I got a basket that I did NOT order. I payed $155.18 for something I did not order. Nothing is right in my order. I called customer service and all you can do is leave messages. So I am waiting to hear back from them but according to all the other reviews this problem wont be resolved and I wont be refunded. Save yourself the money and DO NOT ORDER from here. Hate this company. My aunt ordered 2 large cakes ($100+) to be delivered Christmas Eve. Instead, we received two packs of cookies and chocolates (worth $20 at most) on January 6th. When I contacted them to see if I can receive a partial refund or replacement, they basically blamed the pandemic and holiday season that there is no stock in the items we wanted AND of the delay in shipping time. If they couldnt do it, they should have CONTACTED to inform us of the changes. This business needs to close down - POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I planned to have it sent to my house, so I could hand deliver it to my office assistant when she came in. I got an email confirming that order that had a statement about delays due to COVID and short staffing. I get it, but that statement should have been on the same page as the shipping options before I bought it, not after. I paid 90 dollars more to get it shipped 2 day shipping. Expected delivery date December 21, per their own email. On December 23, I sent an email to inquire, where was it? No response. On December 29, I get an email saying that my package had finally shipped but the recipient address was changed completely to someone I did not know, never heard of, does not know me, 350 miles away. I live in Oakland, he lives in Sherman Oaks. There is no similarity between our names, our addresses, or anything that would suggest maybe a mere typo. The order is the unchanged, but THE RECIPIENT IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT INDIVIDUAL IN THE WRONG PART OF THE STATE! I responded to this email stating, this is the wrong address, Id like a refund. Again, no response. I called the customer service number and all I got was a voicemail telling me to send an email. Finally, on Jan 1st, I got a response from the customer service department. It was an automated ticket, stating that I would get a actual response to my inquiry in 24-48 hours. Didnt happen. My order was finally delivered TO THE WRONG PERSON on January 5. The recipient’s wife called me, asking why I sent her husband an expensive gift basket and who was Vickie (the name of my office assistant)? On Jan 13, I finally get a response from a customer service person. This is what they told me- As per our refund policy stipulated in our terms and conditions, we can not be held accountable under the following circumstances: When a delivery is stolen OR goes missing. If we have proof of delivery from any courier, the customer is not entitled to a refund. The customer is accepting the risk of lost and stolen gifts/gift baskets. If you are concerned that the intended recipient has not received the package or believe the courier may have delivered to the wrong address, we would advise you to contact the courier directly for further information. so they are taking no responsibility for the fact that at some point, they changed the recipients information. its not the couriers fault. They sent me a confirmation email with the right recipient and then 10 days later send another email with the same order and same order number, but completely wrong recipient. but somehow this is the couriers fault, not their mistake. Plus, over 2 weeks to reply to any of my inquiries? This company is operating a scam. Gift ordered on 12/4. Credit card billed on 12/4. FedEx shipping label created 12/8. But, FedEx never received the pkg from The Gift Group / North Pole Company / Yorkvilles of Elmwood, NJ. All emails bounced back. Post your experiences on all social media.

First: I tried to call customer service but they only respond via email and do not respond timely. It took 3 days before I heard back. Anytime I called they just told me to email. Second, I didnt receive the balloons or the strawberries after I paid extra for the expedited shipping to ensure it would be shipped overnight since it was a perishable good. They refused to refund me for shipping, so I wasted 40 bucks for expedited shipping for no reason. Third, I ordered it to arrive the day after my friends wedding and paid for it to arrive that date but it was not shipped on time and did not arrive until nearly 5 days after I had requested. I also did not receive the glasses that were to come with the gift. Overall, this was a very poor experience and a waste of money. I will never shop here again. The customer service doesnt exist and they only answer the phone to take your money but not to assist with an order. I was very dissappointed as I was hoping for a great gift for my friends wedding but did not get the gift I paid for or the service I expected. They said they would only refund me for the balloon and then demanded I send photos, but how am I supposed to photograph what I didn’t receive? I ordered a basket on 12/20/20 for delivery 12/24/20 which was an option to select for delivery. Paid and received confirmation of delivery date for 12/24/2020. Called our family 12/26/20 to make sure they received and gave away surprise because never delivered. Several reach outs to this company customer service and got some excuses. Requested my money back which was denied and 7 days after confirmed delivery family received the basket.Terrible! Terrible! Don’t do business with this company!!!
I wish i can give no stars. Ordered 2 cakes total of more than $50 and they just sent us 2 packs of cookies and 2 packs of chocolates. My cousins went to the store location found on google only to find out they move to another place where only God knows where. We emailed them and they just apologized for sending the wrong item, they didnt send the exact same item again AND they didnt give us refunds even.

The wrong box !Thy send me the wrong items the wrong box and much less for what my bf paid !I was trying to contact them for 2 and half weeks with no respond !Until finally someone called me back he was telling me it’s the right box !!! I dont even have the words to describe the level of disappointment I experienced with this company. To make the long story short, I ordered the chocolate dipped strawberry pizza and some other chocolates for my daughter-in-laws birthday. When she received the order well, NONE of the items I ordered where in the basket, and the kicker? The card was addressed to another person! Meaning, they sent the wrong basket (the basket they sent had a chocolate bar, a mini chocolate box, and a lollipop). When my daughter-in-law told me I immediately contacted Hazeltons customer service only to receive a condescending email basically stating how lucky I was they sent something. I mean, WHAT?!?! We were not expecting the moon, we just expected the right items to be delivered, I dont think that is too much to ask, and hey! Everyone makes mistakes and thats OK, the important thing is how you correct them and to be honest Hazeltons FAILED miserably doing this. It is truly sad and disconcerting that during these difficult times, companies lack the empathy and the customer service skills needed to serve their customers with dignity. I guess that if they send everything right youre good but if you have an issue, DONT expect them to make it right.

I can not express how heart broken and disappointed I feel. I am a healthcare worker and just like the rest of the world am trying to keep a positive attitude. It pains me to right this review in these difficult times. But I was to receive a gift from this company from someone I really care about. It was to Britten my day in this time of stress, sadness, and pain. While money pinching should be what we are doing. This person decided to buy me a lovely bouquet of flowers and some wine. Sadly the ordeal and frustration of improper delivery has caused me not to receive them. And UPS took it upon their self to make a false statement that the gift was refused. Yet it was never deliver to me. I would love to retract this review if this situation can be rectified in a proper and timely manner. For I believe in human error and making things right.

Everything about it is wrong, no food license, no liquor license, sending perishable food across the country with no ice packs, in the back of trucks for 5 days, its horrible, never mind they treat the employees like sweat shop workers. There were 3-4 cases of coronavirus in there and the owner did not let us all know, he did not take the precautions recommended by the state regulations, he did not call a cleaning company to disinfect or even clean the place. What he did do, was scream at us for not having the 1000 orders done. We do not have anything offered on the website, everything will be substituted. Theres no benefits, no insurance, no sick time, nothing at all. Avoid them! Ordered a housewarming gift for a friend. She received less than half of what I paid for, what she did receive was damaged and rotten. They would not reply to phone calls or emails. Submitted a dispute through Paypal. 2 MONTHS later, they replied through Paypal wanting my friend to pay money for shipping to return everything as is (which was obviously through away in the 2 months of their non-response). So I wasnt able to get any type of help through Paypal. Obviously they are running a scam.

This place is horrible to order from. There is multiple business under their umbrella. I ordered from good4ugiftbaskets.com and the order was shipped and deliver after the requested delivery date and the product was inedible on arrival even though the correct shipping method was applied per their website. When requesting a refund they refused and then stopped responding to emails and phone calls to get the issue resolved. They have since changed their website to say no refunds but when I placed my order that was not listed on their website. Save yourself the headache and buy elsewhere. I also wrote a review of my experience on their website but I guess they selectively decide what reviews they post so bad reviews get suppressed.
I would give this Company NO STARS but dont seem to have that Option. I have to give them One Star (undeserved). I ordered an Anniversary gift for my daughter and son-in-law to arrive on May 28 (almost 2 weeks ago). It arrived damaged (the box had been retaped), items were missing and it did not look anything like the featured picture. I immediately tried to contact Hazeltons Customer Service many different ways - through phone and chat on line with no success. A recorded message told me to contact Customer Service by email. I immediately wrote them and attached 5 photos of the damaged goods. To this day (almost 2 months later) I have heard nothing from Hazelton’s so have turned the matter over to the Company I paid through. I am disappointed and furious that I received no response from Hazelton’s.

If I could give zero stars I would, I ordered a birthday gift for my daughter to be delivered with very specific instructions to call her cell phone when arriving at mass General, as its a huge hospital. I have called, no answer, I have tried to chat online, no connect, I have emailed, no response. My daughter who works in the Infectious disease pharm dept, never received her gift. It was over 100.00, and during this serious covid time, its apparently lost in the hospital, according to ups, who didnt call her cell phone. just dumped it off and did not get the full name of person. I finally gvae up and i am disputing with american express, do not use this company!!!!!! You will never ever get to talk to someone, I have done everything but send a smoke signal! They work under the name Hazeltons, website, but really are the gift group, Im so mad that I didnt see these reviews before I ordered. I already called amex. No way is this scam company getting a dime.

It actually plays a pretty good con to be honest.They charge your card and provide no updates, i wrote them asking for an update, days later they sent a paypal invoice with no additional information, i wrote again requesting an update on the order including screenshots of the bank confirmation of the payment.They then answer with a prompt indicating that there are discrepancies with the order and they need you to pay for the order through paypal so they can verify the account is good.This could definitely trick someone who doesnt know much about how paypal or banks work.At this point i realized this was a scam requested a cancellation of the order and a return of my payment.Their reply was the same prompt from before, only this time indicating that to receive my refund i would need to make the payment through paypal and once they have verified, they will refund my original payment meaning they are now saying they did receive the payment and for me to get my refund i have to pay again.Now at this point i realized they had no intention of returning my payment for services not rendered so i contacted my bank and began the dispute process and am holding on to the possibility of litigation.i have included the emails so that whoever reads this can make their own judgement. Just stay as far away as possible from giving these scammers your business. They’re thieves, and you won’t even be able to get through to customer service.
Horrible service! they say they provide same day delivery but they dont and they did not even allow me to cancel my order!! They provided a phone number which NO ONE picks up. I am going to sure them if they dont give me my refund.
The gift basket was not even delivered on date that we asked for delivery and cane three days later, but was dropped in a laundry. Horrible company and service.

Beware! I ordered a gift basket that was never delivered. This company is scamming people.
Gift arrived late, incredibly damaged, and missing items. Flowers were mostly dead by the time they arrived
Extremely disappointed in the owners response to my damaged gift. The company should not allow UPS GROUND delivery as an option when shipping perishable items. The box was not even labeled perishable .All of the food was melted. There was no description or label on of the block of green cheese The box did not include an inventory list. I sent pictures of how the items arrive and the owners response was they person should have shipped it overnight shipping VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!
Managers and supervisors are a complete joke. They don’t give a rat’s behind about their employees and just care about themselves. By far one of the worst places I’ve ever worked at ONLY because of management’s irresponsibility with communication with staff.
This is the most pathetic service. I was supposed to receive a delivery via Fedex on 31st Dec. They created a label for delivery but never sent the shipment to FedEx. Tried to reach by phone, email and chat, but didn’t got any response. It’s 6 days and I haven’t received.
