Not a good work environment, there are a few extremely nice employees, Ms. Bowman very polite and caring, Mrs Sinclair get out while you can youre awesome, and Tim hes a great guy and a hard worker hes a very down to earth guy. Wish yall the best

Called today 3/16/21 to get a quote and Dave the owner was soooo rude. Insisting he needed a budget to give a quote. Ive dealt with contractors before and NO ONE asked for a budget Your price is Your price. He told me I barked at the amount he quoted me. I in fact only said oh the opener is extra ok (so I could write it down). Both my husband and i have worked in sales and i know if you give a budget sometimes the price would change to fit that budget.. This was a terrible 1st impression AND this was my husbands first choice well not this or any other project! I feel like he googled my area and felt we couldnt afford the work, well shame on you Dave!!!!! I felt so embarrassed and ashamed that we even considered this place.

Nice people. Dave is super knowledgeable. They did a new installation on two 12x9 residential doors. Ordered, scheduled, and installed on time and on budget. Finished product looks great. The installer was pleasant, tidy, and worked efficiently.

Go somewhere else, anywhere else with your business. I hired these guys for a garage door job, raising the header and adding a panel to an existing garage door to increase the height of the door. It took months to complete. They sent a crew out to remove the door to get ready to raise the header and didnt have the next step scheduled! They left me with no garage door for over a week with my barn completely unsecured! After the door was finally reinstalled it took several more weeks to get the trim in to finish the job.The workers did an acceptable job but the owner left me hanging with how he manages and schedules his jobs.To top it off, when we asked for a discount for the inconvenience the owner lost his mind, screamed at my wife and threatened to come take the door down!Completely unprofessional owner. Still shocked this place is in business.If things dont go well for you, and they probably wont, be prepared for a childlike tantrum from the big baby that runs the place.Glad to be done with this place and you should avoid it like the plague.

Just had my front large picture window replaced last Saturday morning and me and my wife were very happy with the installers and the final product also cleaned up well. Would definitely recommend action to family and friends

Unprofessional owner. I will never do business with this company again. They stated I no showed them twice but they showed up unannounced and I was at work and could not leave.We scheduled for week later. They NO Showed me I called to find out what was going on and someone was suppose to get back with me. No one every did, called again and they were suppose to get back with me again nothing. I called again and the business owner stated she would not do business with me that I no showed them twice. I have no clue what she is talking about. If they showed up I was not aware of the appointment. The business owner was very rude and condescending with me. Im also a business owner and was appalled by the way I was treated.

I called Action about a garage door repair. Pete was able to help me find a technician to come by later that day. I received another call telling me that the technician was on his way around the time scheduled.Tim was able to assess the repair and told me it was a quick fix. He was very courteous, got the job done efficiently, and was thorough.My experience with Action was good. They were upfront the cost and well organized.I would refer Action to anyone!Oh and... Be sure to ask about the 10% discount when they come to your home. Every bit counts

Do not even call these people. We accepted a bid to fix a window sill on our house. We have been waiting 5 months and still no one has come to fix it. We were told once they came but the weather was bad which never happened. Two months ago they called and said they would be out that week which never happened and recently they said they miss placed our work order and would be out the next day! Which they did not show up again!!! Tried calling today and no one answers the phone!!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Called thinking we would be dealing with Action Door on Spring Road in Cleveland, who have an ex excellent reputation that is deserved. Horribly mistaken, and will never make the same mistake again, like many, amazed this place is even in business, a mistake that definitely won’t happen again.

I had an issue with my garage door after hours during the Christmas-New Years holiday period, and the owner sent someone right away. Steve, I think, was the kind and knowledgeable person who came out and fixed the problem right away. I really appreciated the prompt and friendly service.

Driver of a company van pulled out in front of me today, 2/14/19, almost causing an accident. Then the driver gave me the middle finger.Might be reasonable on garage doors but I will never find out, because this company told me to “F” off!Company vehicle #25

Horrible job. The entry door doesn’t shut right, or lock correctly. The screen door has a huge gap between the door and the house. Also got the wrong screen door. Called them to come out and fix it/give us the correct door we ordered, or we didn’t want the door anymore. They said “they don’t do refunds” and we haven’t heard from them since. Would never recommend to anyone. Thought about suing, but we aren’t those types of people, although sometimes, like this instance, I wish we were.

We had very old garage doors that were falling apart. Dave worked with us and had our doors in before the snow hit. Service was amazing.The man who installed our doors was very patient with our 4 curious kids when they watched him install them. We are now pricing out windows. Dave came out for an estimate 15-20 minutes after I called. Very pleased.

On May 23, 2016 I hired Action Door and Window to replace the springs on my garage door. During the service, it was determined that the carriage is bad and needed to be replaced. Everything seemed fine with the service, the company, the follow-up and the price. It is now October 16, 2016 and my garage door is broken again. The door gets stuck on the way down and the entire rail the carriage runs on is flexed. When I pull the release cord, the entire door slams to the ground.I had another garage door company come out on October 18, 2016 to review the problem. It was discovered that Action Door and Window had installed the wrong springs on the door and tightened the springs to the point where the weight of the garage door destroyed the motor on the garage door opener. I paid this third company to replace the springs….again…and now have to buy an entire new garage door system to replace the one that was destroyed by Action Door and Window’s mistake. I do not recommend Action Door and Window, especially when there are so many other options in the Avon/Avon Lake/North Ridgeville area with better reviews on Angie’s List, Yelp, etc.

I needed a wider entry door fast and Dave the owner came out and had Bill install a 36 door for me right away. The speed of service and quality of the team and door is great.

Action Door and Window are great. I had a new Liftmaster automatic garage door opener put in with a keypad. The technician Jacob was really great. He did a great job installing it and after he was done he took the time to explain how it all worked. But what was best was that he arrived exactly when he said he would. I hate when companies say one time and arrive an hour later. He was right on time. I highly recommend Action Door and Window in Elyria.

This is our third experience with Action Door in Elyria. Several years ago our springs broke and they came out the next day and solved our problem quickly.Six months ago our motor died and once again they saved the day. Last week we needed their services and Randy helped us with the parts. When the job was more than my capabilities, Randy had Jake come out and save the day.Great people, fantastic service and fair pricing. We will recommend you to our friends and family. Thank You!

Worst customer service experience I have ever had. Over-promised, under-delivered, and insulted the customer. Terrible.

The young man behind the parts counter this morning wasnt qualified to sell us a part. We were told wed have to come back later when the professional installer returned from an outcall. . We needed the part immediately so we drove to North Ridgeville and got the part.

Called them this morning to look at my garage door that had a broken spring. They showed up by 2:30 and were done in under an hour. Very professional and I would highly recommend.

Waste of time. Parts dept opens at 9?, bankers hours apparently, and they barely have any parts. Biggest think going on there is their coat drive apparently.

Horrible.needed to come back and didnt follow thru with what i was told would be done by dave himself.have snow that comes in under under door.been lied and stood up several times.anyone want to know the full long story with all involved let me know.im just sayin my story of my expierence and it was terrible.will never again go back.just saying.
