Williams always gets me in quickly to have routine maintenance done on my car. Its easy to drop it off and pick it up, or wait in their lounge while they do the work. Clean, efficient and professional. Ive never had a bad experience with them!
The team here is extremely nice! I didn’t realize that I had to make an appointment, and even though they were understaffed and extremely busy Adam Smith was still able to get my car in and fix my breaks. Best experience I’ve had at a mechanic shop, and I will now exclusively be using Williams automotive.
Absolutely heaven sent.... Im not sure what my drivers name was but he is such a nice guy and so professional. I only have wonderful things to say about this company.
Took me in quick explained everything in a clear and professional manner and got me out quick at a great price I will be going back for all my auto needs
I have brought my Grand Cherokee in several times over the two years I have lived here. I have also spent a lot of money. One of the issues I had was a non working heater on one side. Brought it to them, fixed but brought back 3 months later, fixed the issue... I was rather put off by what I believe was a manager of sorts at that time. When I went to pick up the vehicle I received an invoice for “labor”, which I should have not been charged for because they were honoring their warranty. I said something right away only to be told it’s up to “him”, (I’m sorry I did not catch his name) He said to me they put a lot of time into my jeep, which I said yes, and I already paid for that. He reluctantly agreed but said, “It’s ok, I know you’ll be back, you come back like a bad penny” really???In retrospect, I should not have returned due to his ignorance.Had issues with both sides, drivers and passengers side.. paid for work for each side at different times.. now ZERO heat.I have all invoices, I just don’t want this to turn into a novel.Although they are good about honoring their warranty, I am driving around with no heat. They can’t or don’t know how, or can’t figure out what’s wrong.Where does that leave me? Taking it somewhere else and dropping more money I don’t have?Disappointed to say the very leastUPDATE:Jan.11I am very happy that my heat is finally working.I am super appreciative for the labor that went into getting it done. I really do believe they go above and beyond in order to make their customers happy. Thanks very much, changed my rating as well
Thanks for providing professional care. Jeff thank you for great customer appreciation.
Wish it had 10 Stars. They took exceptional care of me. Went over and beyond to get me back on the road and I made it to Minneapolis and back to Texas. Definitely reccomend.
The staff at Williams Automotive honored my warranty and replaced my starter free of charge. They managed to squeeze my repairs in at the end of a business day even though I hadnt been able to make an appointment. I am also extremely appreciative of their efforts to cater to the Emporia community by offering a discount to ESU students. I would recommend this business to anybody because it is professional and trustworthy.
I was moving from Nebraska to Oklahoma when my truck started to act up. I was me, my 5 year old, and my dog, and I was pulling a 14’ trailer with all my belongings in it. I was able to baby my truck to Emporia Kansas. When I got there I called 7 different shops trying to find someone that could help me ASAP, to no avail. Finally I called Williams automotive and Chuck answered! I explained my situation and he told me he would definitely be able to help me out. I arrived and he immediately greeted me outside! Me, my son, and my large dog, were invited inside, made comfortable, and treated amazing! The mechanic was wonderful on keeping me updated and letting me know what was going on and he got everything done in a timely manner! When the mechanic was finished, he took my truck for a test drive and when he returned, he backed my truck right back up to my trailer so I didn’t have to worry about it!! So much amazing help and so many kind words were spoken by the wonderful gentleman at Williams! They treat you like family for sure! Thank you again Chuck for all your help! We made it to Oklahoma and my husband thanks you for helping us get here safely!
Gets the job done & rebuilds motors as well
Definitely recommend coming here. Our van broke down on I-35 near Emporia because the battery stopped working and we called Williams Towing and they brought us here. It was near closing time but the mechanic was nice enough to stay overtime to help us fix the battery and alternator. They said it would take maximum 2 hours but they fixed it in about 30 minutes. The general manager Chuck was super helpful and nice. Thank you!! If we ever need help again, well for sure come here.
They were very helpful when I called about my truck
We were on the road just passing through when our oil light came on. Doing a simple google search told us this could be a larger problem so we immediately pulled over and found these guys. Absolutely amazing service- they immediately prioritized our vehicle and allowed our 2 large dogs to wait inside out of the cold with us. At the end they said the problem could wait and there was no charge. They genuinely cared about providing good service and doing good. I would absolutely feel comfortable going here if we lived in the area for any problem that arose. Amazing service!
I was heading down to Phoenix with my old rv and realized I needed an oil change. Short notice. They got me in that day and Errol the technician helping me was fast and profesional. Great facility, coffee, and was covid compliant. If I lived here i would make them my auto repair shop for everything. Thanks Errol and the owner. Im sorry I cant remember the owners name. Great guys.
Our Durango overheated on our way back to Colorado. Chuck was awesome at fitting us in immediately and keeping me up-to-date while Lance quickly diagnosed the issue and installed a new water pump. The waiting area is great even though I was offered a courtesy ride back to our hotel about a mile away. I can’t say enough good things about Williams Automotive!
My company vehicle had a wheel bearing going out, I called the shop and told them my issue and that I would need it done as soon as possible. Lance and Jeff were great. They even gave me a ride home when I dropped it off. They said it would be done by 10am the next morning and they delivered! Great job and I highly recommended them to anyone.
I DO NOT recommend going to Williams automotive. They up charge you on parts. For example I needed a crankshaft sensor and they said it would be 600 bucks for a Mazda miata which is half a car to begin with lol so no way it cost that much low and behold I found a part for 115. About a week later same problem I went in with call about there warranty they advertised 24000 mile or 24 month warranty whatever comes first and said they wouldnt look at it it wasnt part of the warranty cause I didnt get the part from them they are overcharging for. Not to mention it took them damb near 2 months to fix a simple diag problem better going to a smaller or matter of fact ANY other mechanic and thwy probably wouldnt take as long not expressed i paid a professional to keep throwing parts i didnt even need into my car.
I was in town for work and started experiencing engine misfires and a rough idle. The folks at Williams got me in that morning, quickly diagnosed the issue while I was working, called and told me what was wrong and what the cost would be, and had it fixed by lunch. The repair was a faulty ignition coil, wasnt that expensive, and I was grateful that Id be able to drive home the next day. These folks are top notch!
I had a fantastic experience with Williams automotive! First off I won a free oil change! Then when I came in they help me pick out a really nice set of tires on my jeep! I already knew that my air-conditioner was having problems and then discovered I was also having issues with my water pump! Before it became a serious issue they got me taken care of! During the whole process they were extremely accommodating and fixed me up at a very fair price with great customer service! I’ll definitely be working with them in the future! Thank you again Williams family!
I really want to thank you all for the fast and friendly service me and my children where given....I will recommend you to everyone I know that travels south on 35. Your tow truck driver Clint was very helpful and made sure we had a room at the hotel while you repaired our wheel bearing. The company called me for price on repair I needed and was very economical. They provided courtesy pickup at the hotel. Everyone was very helpful. Thanks again!
I would like to give a special thanks to Chuck for correcting the problem. Within 24 hours of my previous review, Chuck and his team took my review seriously, and his immediate action resulted in my complete and utter satisfaction. Chucks work ethic and his dedication to customer service reflect greatly upon his commitment and the commintment of his team. Thank you very much Chuck.
Nice customer appreciation day. Good food, nice people and very clean. Thanks Chuck for inviting us. We are very happy.
I have been going to Williams Automotive sense 2010 and they have given me great service. The staff there have very helpful in a field that I dont know much about.
Williams automotive always takes the best care of every vehicle brought it. They are quick and efficient. I 100% recommend them to anyone for reliable service.
I had my oil changed at Williams on July 18, 2019. Dropped my car off at 8:00 am and it was ready to pick up an hour later. Quick and quality service! They have a feature on their website where you can schedule an appointment online. Would highly recommend to anyone. Especially young women who might be nervous about getting automotive work done. Everyone at the store location treated me kindly and with respect.
They over charged me on labor hours. I was charged over $400 to change out heater hose connector and a coolant bottle... And I supplied all parts, coolant, coolant bottle, heater hose connectors, and hose clamps. I had a friend look up the labor hours to do the job... 1.2 hours for both heater hose connectors and .5 labor hours to complete the coolant bottle.. at their labor rate of $85 per labor hour... That doesnt calculate. When I told them.. they said well it took him a while to do if they are gonna charge by the hour and not by the book time they need to specify. Took advantage of someone stuck in Kansas. I did call them out on over charging for labor rate.. they lowered it to $300.. and acted like they did me a favor... The bill should have be about $200 at the most. Hopefully u dont get stuck in emporia Kansas.. if so.. dont go to Williams auto repair.
Brian fixed some minor body damage on my Ford Edge. Paint match was excellent and repair was great.
Well....one customer said 10 to 45 minutes....reallly....I made an appointment at 10:30......for an oil change....and replace a battery in my ford fob......3 hours later.....they were finished.....oh we are sorry we will give you 10% off oil change and not charge you for the battery....oh wow that is very nice...so when I left and looked at invoice there was not 10% off and battery was 10 dollars....so I will go to John North Ford.....after Was left customer service left with him......Rex and Debbie no where to be found
Always fair and informative. They stand by their work and I would recommend them to anyone for body work, routine maintenance or any auto needs. Wonderful family and staff that is clearly their adopted family.
These guys are amazing! We were traveling from Michigan to Texas in our RV and broke down on the Kansas Turnpike. We called the first towing place we could find, They were busy but they managed to squeeze us in. We had 2 adults, 2 toddlers and my 72 year old grandma, stranded on the turnpike in a nasty thunder storm. The 2 tow truck guys, Chris and Joe were awesome and did everything they could to get us back on the road. They towed us back to their truck repair place and verified with the shop manager that they would be able to work on it the next day. Sure enough, they managed to get us back on the road the next afternoon! Awesome, friendly, efficient service!
Honest and friendly guys plain and simple.
Great bunch of people working here. very friendly, knowledgeable, A+ service... They are honest with their customers & work hard to get the job done asap...
They got my car in as they said took me home and fixed it the first time.
Always great to have a service and repair shop like this to rely on! Williams does an excellent job and always exceeds expectations. Couple that with the fact that they care about our community and are constantly finding ways to give back and make Emporia a better place to live - you just cant ask for more. Thank you, Williams Automotive, for your continued excellence.
We had an emergency stop in Emporia when our van began alerting us of a serious overheating issue. We found the Williams Automotive location and arrive around 4pm. They graciously reviewed the car, fixed the problem (a sensor failure), tested it and sent us on out way with a minimal cost. The staff was excellent in every way, and this is especially important when you are a stranded visitor traveling through. 5 stars in every way!
Through AAA service I needed a tow from Council Grove lake (25 Mi away). My trailblazers water pump went out along with belt, which tore into the radiator. I had already made arrangements to have the truck towed to a shop I usually use in lebo. The tow truck showed up in a short time. Evan, the driver was friendly and made his job look easy. He assured me that Williams did this type of work and could have it done for reasonable price. I called and cancelled the arrangement with my other Shop. So far I am pleased with there service. I will give my full review in a few days. Thanks.days later......... This shop is super overpriced! 4hrs of labor for the water pump, and 4 hrs labor for the radiator?! List price for all parts. Grand total $1200. I ended up towing it to a different shop and beat the price by $420. Service manager for Williams wouldnt negotiate even a dollar. I was charged a diagnostic fee even though the damage was seen clear, as I explained over the phone. If you like throwing $100 bills out your window you might like this place.
William is a wonderful place they are very knowledgeable about mechanical issues and get them fixed in a timely manner . Office staff is exceptional very friendly as well as courteous. I would recommend Williams to anyone . Oh and the best part they offer a military discount.
These guys are great!! I have taken my Honda Civic to them for over 5 years for oil changes, new tires, etc...... They are always friendly and very professional!
I dont feel it deserves one star, but in order to help others avoid this place it was necessary....My husband broke down in the middle of the night & was towed here. Asked for an estimate only. Never received any communication and had to contact them multiple times to get anything from their end. Claims we needed a new engine, refused to offer a deal he would a local resident. Quoted us $15k for a used engine. When we said we couldnt afford that and we would get our truck. He asked if we wanted it returned in the condition we brought it in? He thought he would take it apart to make it undrivable and demanded just under $300 to give us our truck back. In addition... we had ups packages in our truck and he said he would give them to his UPS guy... Never did & personal items are missing, after being at his shop.In addition to having 4 other mechanics look at it (we have a lot of people upset over here on how we were treated, they all have donated their time to look at it)... Guess what, not one of them agrees with him on the cost or way to get this repair done. Our insurance has noted his shop as one they will not use. They take pride in how they treat military personnel and knowing what we endured, they feel responsible and are not ok just turning the blind eye. I also see we are not the only one who has been subjected to this treatment by him/his shop.
They always do great work at a reasonable price. They are the only shop I use anymore
Best service place to take car of your car.
Love Williams glad to have them around, I wouldnt send anyone any where else, trust these guys to the fullest, and they always help me out when I am at work to tow a truck when needed
Very great people. Held my Chevy that had been stolen at no cost for over a week until I was able to come pick it up.
Unbelievable they came with wrecker fast and was very polite and had manners and service was fast ans cheap they sure eased my stress and fears fast ..funny there not bked up cuz there that good
They were very helpful in everyway. Great service and fair price.
They were very professional and helpful even though I was just needing tires mounted they treated me as I was getting afull set of tires and next set I get will be here. Thanks guys
INCOMPETENCE AND LIES. STOP LYING -YOUR STATEMENT Some of the issues are when going 90 mph IS A LIE. I said I had gotten near that BUT IT HAD BEEN GOING OFF INTERMITTENTLY FOR WEEKS. IN TOWN! And that it seemed more prone when engine was stressed. Id been in KC for months and OBVIOUSLY was NOT going around at 90 mph when it happened. NOW COME TO FIND OUT FOR MY $300 OIL CHANGE THE CROOKS ALSO STRIPPED MY DRAIN PLUGFACE IT, YOU Failed to fix car resulting in a breakdown and tow. Plus a CORRECT repair cost by another shop. NOW YOU LIE AND TRY AND DEFLECT THE TRUTH THAT YOU DID NOT REPAIR IT. MISSDIAGNOSED IT. AND DID NOT CHECK FOR A RECALL WHICH CAUSED THIS PROBLEM. ALL WHAT YOU WERE HIRED TO DO.Worse they are lying when they say Some of the issues are when going 90 mph or put some stress on the engine.ANY stress - even going around a corner and having the remaining oil drift to side of oil pan could cause enough stress to affect an EVER MORE CLOGGING OIL SUMP. The 90 mph is grasping at some other suggestion. I was only going 40 mph when warning light came back on after Williams alleged repair. NOT!Can not believe they charge almost $300 for what ends up being no more than a oil change, and diagnostics so INCOMPLETE the check engine light never even goes off! What are they doing claiming an engine repair when they have not even reset the engine code diagnostics? You dont claim a car is repaired if you cant even turn of the check engine dash light! Thats as basic as it gets:1.) Read engine diagnostics code to help track down engine problem.2.) Make sure engine warning light goes off with code reading. READING THE CODE RESETS IT. ERGO, I DONT BELIEVE THEY EVEN CHECKED IT, AS IVE NEVER HEARD OF A DIAGNOSTIC CODE READ WHERE IF IT IS NOT RESET THE CUSTOMER WOULD AT LEAST BE TOLD WHY IT IS NOT FUNDAMENTAL TO THE PROBLEM AT HAND.Williams can stop their deceptions. THE FACTS ARE IF THEYD CHECKED AT ALL THEYD HAVE SEEN A MASSIVE MULTI-MODEL VW RECALL OVER ENGINE SLUDGE ISSUE FOR 1.8Ts. PERIOD. (The problem is that as the engines age the too small (thus the warranty extension and recall) over time they start to clog. If Williams can understand the basics: OBVIOUSLY as debris (often coked oil from the turbo heat) clog ever more of the limited intake anything that starts to reduce extra oil - does NOT have to be going fast -CHECK THE RECALL INFO! - can start a engine pressure warning light. Ergo, I said WHEN THE ENGINE IS STRESSED. ACCELERATING, OR GOING FAST. Stressed - got that snakes? And I was only going 40 mph entering Wichita, KS when it broke down after leaving your repair. The next shop KNEW of this issue without even checking for it.A $300 oil change where IF THEY EVEN READ THE CODE - FOR FAILED DIAGNOSIS - THEY DONT RESET IT! Moreover, youd think a prudent car diagnosis would include (if they dont already know of this engine condition from experience AS THE NEXT REPAIR SHOP DID) a internet search for auto recalls for a major issue. This condition and its web posts and recall were all over the internet as I found when I check after it broke down after Williams auto.Williams can stop the innocent wed have fixed it bunk. Heck yes if it had broke down nearby Id have brought it back - FINE BY ME. But they KNEW I was going to Dallas, and when Im IN WICHITA after leaving Emporia why would ANYONE RISK A 100 MILE TOW EXPENSE AWAY FROM THEIR TRIP ROUTE TO GO BACK TO A PLACE THAT COULDNT FIX YOUR CAR RIGHT THE FIRST TIME? FOR THAT MATTER COULDNT EVEN RESET THE ENGINE CODE!
They do a great job but its very expensive. My brakes and rotors costed me 600 dollars because they broke the calipers and charged me to put new ones on.
Have been taking our vehicles here for 10 years. Best service, reliable and friendly..wont go anywhere else..
We were on our way to texas and Joe helped us out tremendously! I recommend this place highly!
Very professional service!!
They were very honest about the repairs needed, however I felt taken advantage of when I looked at the price, and decided to go elsewhere for a fourth of the cost.
Passing through Emporia, KS headed to Fort Worth, TX. They were booked for at least an hour or so but manage to get me in right away.
Solid repairs at a fair price
They are accommodating.
Great customer service
Sucky place, rude employees, overpriced, and cheat you any chance they get!!!!!!
Make sure you talk to Rex, and hell be sure to solve any of your automotive problems!
Friendly and honest.
Helped us when we needed it
