Had an amazing GF pear tarte that convinced me to eat dessert for dinner. A half pizza that was also vegan, GF and full of veggies exceeded my expectations. Plenty of outdoor seating for conversation, downtime, or bringing furry friends...One star off for portions that are a bit small, considering the price point, but overall, thats very minor.Nectarine Grove has a positive vibe and even an amazing internet passcode (*you have to visit to find out, but its so good)!Definitely worth a visit...or several.
A quaint cafe located on the PCH in Encinitas that is a great spot if you looking for a farm fresh and healthy breakfast or lunch. They have a host of health conscious options including gluten free, paleo, and vegan options. They have a lovely patio and Ive tried several dishes which have all been great quality and delicious. They also have a drink bar and their smoothies are amazing.
This place is a celiacs dream! The entire restaurant is gluten free, so get ready to indulge in delicious fried chicken, french fries and more!! The fajita bowl, chicken Sammie, falafel tacos and chicken and waffles are amazing. But dont stop there, because their brownies and cinnamon rolls are a must try. The environment is laid back, coastal chill and always hopin. Very dog friendly and youll find families, young and older couples and yogis enjoying this place. It can get busy, with a line that looks very long, but it goes pretty quickly and the food delivery is quick (as long as there isnt too many to-go orders). Parking is fine, just park across the street in the dirt by the train tracks. If you go on the weekends, around 1pm, then you might get lucky and get some live music!
Wow, this place did not disappoint! We were a party of 7, so I got to taste quite a few different things, and they were all tasty. My tacos were amazing, and so were the fries! Our kids had no idea that everything was GF, and they all ate their food happily. (They are kind of picky) Would definitely eat here again, even though it wasnt inexpensive.
Our family has made countless trips to NG since its beginning. Tonight we enjoyed the Pesto Pizza for the first time-WOW! What a treat!
Where have you been all my life? Love at first sight for my tummy!Pineapple, chicken barbecue pizza - delicious and filling fresh out of the oven in a jiffy.
I hadn’t been to Encinitas ⛱ since my diagnosis of a gluten sensitivity so this was a huge discovery! 💥 Nectarine Grove is just what the doctor ordered. 👨⚕️I ordered the 🥚Pesto Veggie Scramble and really liked how the veggies were diced into small pieces. 🥒I’m not a fan of big veggie chunks. Also, they have pre-prepared cups of hot sauce 🌶 (sriracha and jalapeño) ready and waiting for you. I’ll definitely be back. 🏆
Such a great option for gluten free meals, snacks and drinks. The cinnamon roll, gluten free banana waffle were great breakfast options. For lunch today we had the carne asada fries and the chicken sammie with fries. Both delicious meals served fresh and quick. The staff were all friendly and helpful.
I just moved to the area and have celiacs. I have no gotten sick a single time I’ve eaten here and am slowly working my way through the menu. The customer service and atmosphere is great. Parking is limited but it’s worth it. They sell extra stuff outside of their menu like English muffins, and donuts. I found something I didn’t like (just personal preference) and they didn’t charge me to order something else instead.
The cinnamon rolls are incredible!!!!! Does the roll itself have any added sugar or no? I think the frosting does but was curious about the roll? I would recommend the cinnamon rolls to anyone!
My wife has Celiac and found this place years ago. They have the best tasting food and use quality ingredients (we have read the ingredients used for different items, just ask & they will give you the binder.Pretty sure we have tried 80% of the food menu, and ALL was phenomenal. We visit SoCal 2-4 times a year and adjust our trip just so we can come here. Yes, it’s that good.I’m still suggesting you make another location in Austin, not hinting, I’m asking you come here!Thank you for opening such a fantastic GF eatery!
100% gluten free errthing! might be the best GF cinnamon roll i’ve had (but i have yet to try mariposa’s in oakland). if you gave it to someone without telling them, they’d never know it was GF. the maple cream cheese frosting is amazing.chicken was perfectly fried but not as juicy as calvin’s fried chicken (also GF). i really liked the maple syrup and coleslaw was slightly sweet and better than your norm.
Had an ok, but generally underwhelming experience here--nothing terrible, nothing great. I had a pretty good salad but found the price point of the entire menu to be just a little too high, considering portion size, size of protein given, and ambiance. The outdoor seating area, with the artificial grass, could be aesthetically improved.
Nectarine had clean and delicious breakfast options, accompanied by artisan coffee offerings in a casual environment. The pesto scramble was fantastic ( had probably twice the amount of pesto necessary but it was fine LOL) and the breakfast tacos were very filling and tasty. The coffee, while very good, is VERY pricey for what it is even in Encinitas. $7 for a latte? Come on now... there are plenty of coffee places who make the exact same thing for less and with even more options. HOWEVER, Everything was very very good and as a whole I felt that the food was reasonably priced which balanced out the high coffee prices. I would go again for sure!
This is literally my favorite restaurant in all of Encinitas. The food is so good, right next to the beach if you want to take a bowl to go. Just solid ingredients and great portion sizes.
Finding a place to dine outside of the house, with a ton of Paleo options, can be harder than finding water in the desert. We ordered the Paleo chicken and waffles, pancakes, among other items and even my non-paleo family members were impressed. I ordered a coffee and it was too sweet and they happily made me a new one! The service was fast and friendly... we cant wait to come back!
Best place in town for healthy organic food. I go here almost every other day
Love this place!! They have the best GF and DF cinnamon rolls out there. The best part is that they don’t use too much sugar so your not feeling too guilty for it. I have tried their tacos, their chicken sandwich, veggie salad, and fries. I would buy and have bought everything again.
Outdoor seating. Very busy. Staff was well trained and pleasant. Excellent food.
Amazing food, service is ok, portions are a little small but quality is great. Gluten free friendly! The protein plate with turkey sausage was delicious, and the breakfast sandwich with turkey was also amazing. The space indoor is small, so it could get crowded. There is no table service. There are plenty of gluten free options, including desserts.
Great location, rooms are clean, friendly service and reasonable price
Very sad to write this review. I used to love this place but over time the quality of food has gone down and service has just been falling short. I’ve been getting soggy pizza and cold coffee many more times than I would have liked to. Some other reviews mentioned problems with the staff being inattentive and unprofessional and it’s true. I’ve been ignored multiple times while waiting for a staff member that was on their phone. They’ve forgotten things on orders a lot lately. Overall just not good experiences. It is unfortunate that you tip before you get your food, because it really hurts to give a good tip then have multiple things missing from your order and have bad service. Hopefully it changes soon, I would love to leave a good review once it does.
Celiac-friendly means absolutely everything. The eggs Benedict was DELICIOUS beyond belief and my husband loved the carne asada fries. Its healthy food that doesnt taste like healthy food! We will definitely be back to try everything else on the menu!
The worst thing about this place is that we dont have a local one in Tacoma! Great ingredients, organic, and the entire place is gluten free! I actually got greens for breakfast, if only more places could do that. It is more expensive than most places, but you are paying for quality. Their products use stuff we would have in our kitchen! And oh man the nitro brew coffee was amazing!
The boss burger tasted just ok, but it was falling apart. No coke option was available to drink with the food.
So nice to be able to order off the whole menu!! We had the dairy free pepperoni pizza and it was so yum! Their “ranch” dressing has a bit of curry to it. Not a fan, but the rest was still yummy. Great service, too!
This was my first time coming here after hearing AMAZING things. All the good Ive been told about this place was true. I love paleo and GF options and this restaurant does it the best! Amazing menu, great service and the only small negative was the wait time for it to cook but quality takes time. Will definitely be going back.
This place is the best! Everything is gluten free, and being Celiac, means it is a haven for me.
Great food and amazing staff. They were very helpful and understood the importance of food intolerance.
Good food. Nice area. Attitude atmosphere was a bit of a turn off. Sorry for not being local. Just moved here.
Amazing sandwiches. Definitely worth a visit with a fantastic selection of gluten free options that actually taste great! It is a bit pricey, but given the specialty menu it isnt unexpected. The Cali club is absolutely my favorite sandwich here. Give it a try.
Holly bananas! I literally just discovered.... potentially THE BEST tacos in town: chicken fajita 🌮 tacos. If I was being bad, I would have ordered a pastry and kambucha.Ps. Its sacrilegious for me to compare tacos to my Nanas ( fingers 🤞 she does not see this) but ...damn!GO EAT HERE !My name is Marc and we support local businesses like this !
Not a fan of their bowls but their crispy chicken, vegan BBQ pizza, and falafel tacos are incred!!!
Gluten. Free. Cinnamon Rolls. That actually look and taste almost identical to real cinnamon rolls. That alone places this cafe into the “life-changing” category for me, and I might have to move to Encinitas for these alone. Ten years having to avoid gluten will do that to a person.I also had the crispy chicken salad, which was great, although the chicken was a tad overcooked. The dressing was delicious, though, and all the veggies were very crisp and fresh. My husband (who is not gf) got the crispy chicken sandwich and loved it. Using plantain chips for the coating is a genius move. He also said the gf bun was great and held together *much* better than most gf breads. We plan to visit at least once more before heading home, to try more of their healthy, fresh and gluten-free fare!
Amazing and healthy place. Staff is always friendly, food made to perfection, bbq chicken pizza, Turkey sandwich, and ginger raider are favorites. Definitely the place yo eat if youre looking for healthy and excellent food
Meat eating Vegans - this is where you heard it first, I call us Mea-gans. Greatest pizza crust, can be made with vegan cheese, supremely healthy and delicious. The BBQ chicken pizza is to die for!! all the smoothies are amazing!! i just tried their desserts and holy macroon, those are also fantastic! Cookies are my fav!!!
I cant say enough great things about this place. This was definitely our fav gf place we found in San Diego area on our trip. Thanks for the hospitality and super flavorful food.
Best brunch Ive ever had
THE BEST GF/Vegan pizza I’ve ever had!! BBQ chicken pizza is a favorite! Go check them out!!!
Stopped in for a refreshing smoothie. Looks like a nice spot to grab a bite if you are close
It was a great gluten free restaurant the food was really good we happened to go when it was really busy so we didnt quite get the service that we would have liked but Im sure it would be better next time
The food here is great and that’s what keeps me coming back. But the service is so subpar that my expectations are lowered every visit. It’s not that the staff aren’t friendly, they’re just simply inattentive and unprofessional. They’ll do things like discuss restaurant issues with coworkers right in front of you or look down at their phone towards the end of checking out. It feels like a burden to ask them for simple requests like hot sauce or water. I’m only posting this in hopes that the service might improve because I really love the food here and wish the service could match it.
This place was a breathe of fresh air. Despite having to wear our masks while out and about, we still found a quiet corner outside to sit and sip. We definitely will be back!
Had a nice variety of brunch options. Nothing out of this world, but a solid spot. 100% gluten free, which is nice
My sister recommended this restaurant and I am so glad she did! They have some of the best vegan options I have ever had. We went for lunch and I ordered the falafel tacos and my sis ordered a pesto pizza. Wow! Both were amazing! So amazing we ordered 2 more meals to go for our dinner. We couldn’t decide on what dessert to get so we ordered 3 desserts. They were remarkable. The meals were so large that we count finish them so we had plenty of leftovers. I can’t wait to go back and try more!
Pricey and bad. Soggy fries (always unforgivable), tortillas unable to hold their filling.
Great food with no worry about gluten contamination.
Amazing food, gluten free, cinnamon rolls were so good!
Great spot that I believe just opened a few years ago. Good clean yummy food
Wow! What a find here in San Diego. Don’t you pass on Nectarine Grove, the food has amazing flavor and you can definitely taste the quality. Very accommodating to those with food sensitivities (majority of entrees are dairy free, soy free, and gluten free). It was so nostalgic to eat a pizza that actually tasted like a traditional pizza without any sacrifices, and the crispy chicken was something out of a fantasy.
Loved the pesto scramble.. Mmm and the coffee is awesome!!
Im not a fan of their bowls, but thats just my taste. Their pizzas and sandwiches are amazing. The chicken pizza is the best. I also love that everything can be gluten free and vegan.
Phenomenal place. All gluten free. Desserts are the next level
Nectarine grove is the best place in town! The food is incredible. It’s not just fresh, it’s feel-good. All of their options energize you instead of weigh you down or make you feel heavy. Their customer service is out of this world. Andy and Jordan go out of their way to make you feel blessed!
Great healthy options without compromising taste! Pictured: Protein Plate, Signature 7 Kombucha and Mojito Soda both on tap.
Great food, my wife has Celiacs and we feel absolutely safe eating from here.
The coffee was some of the best Ive ever had and the pear tart was to die for. Its not called the pear tart I cant remember what its called but theyll know what you mean. You gotta go there
Had the most WONDERFUL experience here the other night while visiting. I have celiac disease, and with everything being gluten free it was so amazing to be able to order ANYTHING I WANTED!!! I wanted to cry! There was so many options it was truly amazing. I might have to book another trip to California solely to come eat here at a real restaurant and not get sick from eating gluten. Please build a place out in Utah!! So many people out here would love to be able to eat out at a restaurant safely with celiac disease which is so hard usually.
Food was great. However I do not recommend the powerhouse smoothie. Very plain. But they gave us a free one to replace, the mint one and it was amazing. Thanks.
Pleasently surprised with the food. Good portion and fresh tasting.
Such an amazing little place. Steak chimichurri bowl on butternut squash noodles is absolutely to die for. Tried the pear creme brûlée as well and loved it. Would definitely come here anytime I’m in the area.
Nectarine Grove is next level phenomenal. Food is exceptional. It’s like the hot food section of Erewhon. I’d move across the country for Nectarine Grove.
Loved our experience here! Ordered the pesto pizza which was big (definitely split it) and it was so healthy and yummy! My boyfriend ordered the veggie bowl and added the chicken and we loved that as well!!
The pacing was great, suggestions were intelligent, and we had a phenomenal time. Dont miss this restaurant!
Our favorite place for breakfast!
Im gluten intolerant and also have minor sensitivity to non-gluten grains. Anyways, this place boasts grain and gluten free menu items and since first hearing about them, Ive been wanting to go like crazy. There arent many places like this one! And it lived up to my expectations! I had the Cali Club and loved every bit of it! Ill be visiting again
Loved the food especially the veggie lovers pizza with paleo crust...one of the most amazing pizzas ever had!veggie bowls were great too however restaurant did not help replacing the wrong item sent instead of falafel taco plate...
Love the best pesto pizza with plantain crispy chicken
Have been wanting to try, so glad we did! Awesome food, and wifey thrilled with dietary restricted options. Great find.
I was skeptical of this place as my wife likes to drag me to alternative type health food cafes. I am pleased to report that I was very wrong. They truly have something for everyone; GF, dairy free vegans and meat eaters coexisting in harmony. I was very pleased with the portion size as well as the prices. A truly great find! We will be back (maybe even tomorrow morning to try out the breakfast menu)
Absolutely fantastic chicken and waffles!
This place is right up a holistic nutritionists alley. Amazing food, amazing deserts, and killer almond milk to go with those deserts. The magic bar is my weakness. What makes the deserts here a go to for me is that they arent loaded with sugar and yet still amazing. The food is paleo, gluten free, clean, and guilt-free. A MUST when in the Encinitas area.
Great menu with options for most people (and ask day breakfast). The food was very good, and the service was quick, too.
Amazing food, even higher quality. I have been going to Nectarine Grove for a few weeks for breakfast or brunch and I’ve ordered a little bit of everything. I’ve been consistently impressed with every meal I’ve had. Highly recommended!
Great spot for gluten free dishes
The food is great but dang it is expensive.
Awesome food. But incredibly small portions. I ordered a scramble and ate it in like four bites. Great food but not big enough portions.
