My father in law worked at Gault and was fired without given any reason just a few months before he could collect his pension. He had been a parts man for his whole adult life beginning in Whitney Point and then moving to Endicott. He was a dedicated employee in every way. He was too nice to fight being fired, but went to BOTNICK and they hired him on the spot. He finished up his work days with that dealership who was glad to have him on board.

The parts manager is the nicest person.Would come bk just to deal with him. Great person to deal with....

DONT BUY FROM GAULT AUTO!!! They sell Lemon cars little after I Bought a car from them i had Problems with it so I Took it in to get fixed oh and I Bought the extended warranty too with the car and when I took it in they sad that part was not Covered under warranty so I had to pay $600 out of pocket and one year latter the part broke again Terrible service do not buy from them

Back when they had the VW wing these were THE WORST service....sadly im sure their staff still works here at a different branch.had to argue with mechanic that engine has a timing belt AND chain and not one or the other...(yes it does) after timing belt replacement a quick drive to binghamton left me stranded on the highway because he forgot to reattach the fuel line to the engine which popped out causing the car to sit in a puddle of gas on the highway shoulder until they came to tow it...at which point they told me they had to investigate to see if i was liable for towing fees. fixing this issue they managed to crack my plastic engine cover for which i complained but the manager refused to do anything about telling me its just plastic fatigue.now for the good part. before they had a VW branch i came here with same car twice for body work. 2 weeks after purchasing the car elsewhere brand new some vestal highschooler was texting and driving rearending me at a red light. the gault body shop replaced everything fast but later had rust issues where they repainted and only in those spots.that same winter the mother in law backed into the quarter panel and dented it badly. i took it to them unknowing that today that dent could have been popped out by a professional paintelss dent repair technician.. instead of stripping the area down and pulling out the sheet metal then light filler and paint work....gault packed an inch AN INCH of body filler on my quarter panel...it all rusted later and paint peeled because they made the inside of the wheel well too thin and weather wore through. even as a new fix when i cleaned the car you could see before painting they rushed the sanding and i had rough sanding marks in the fillerwork.and for the cherry on top. that summer i hit a deer. nothing major just needed new bumper headlights the tip of the hood got bent but zero structural damage . they did this work super fast. the paint was nothing to complain about until i noticed they NEVER EVER painted around the edges of the hoodI KID YOU NOT! both sides of the hood were painted to the edge but the thickness of the hood itself where the sheet metal wraps around to the underside was missing any clear coat alllll the way around. withing a year the base coat started rusting...i have photos for proof i took of all this.please avoid this place...its not honest and VERY expenside. their business model is do as much as possible as fast as possible to cover more customers. when a business cuts corners like that their results are usually what i ended up with in terms of body work. OH I FORGOT TO MENTION WHEN HOOD WAS PAINTED IT WAS PAINTED ON THE CAR AND THEY OVERSPRAYED MY ROOF WHICH THEY DIDNT COVER...AND TOP PART OF MY WINDSHIELD...this all came off with buffing tools but ....yeah unacceptable my bad luck for having so much body work within a year so i dont see the 2 year result...yeah rust 2 years later on a new car.
