So, I am on issue two with Groove service. Several years ago they serviced my car and supposedly rotated the tires. Surprisingly, the same tire the showed low pressure before the service (and tire rotation) showed the same low pressure after. Most recently, within a day of the service, the windshield washer fluid showed that it was low. If they missed something as simple as the washer fluid, what else did they miss? Then, when I called them about this, they didnt call back. So, this tells me that they not only lack an attention to detail, but they really dont care about their customer satisfaction. There are a lot of options for service of your vehicle. Make sure you take your car to somewhere that actually cares about the service and safety of the vehicle.

I never write reviews, but after my experience here I felt I should share this. First of all, I have no complaints about Jeremiah, our service advisor. He was great. I brought my car down from the mountains to get my oil changed and my tires rotated and balanced. I also wanted my power steering checked, and it turned out that the pump and hoses needed to be replaced. I needed front and rear brakes and rotors too. I knew we were expecting a pretty big service order and they couldn’t get all the parts right away. Jeremiah put me a courtesy rental car over the weekend, which was awesome. When I came back down to pick up my car the following week, I called the service department a few times to check on my car and nobody could get back to me. I knew Jeremiah was not there. Finally a little after 6pm someone answered the phone. The gentleman was quite rude and told me that my car was not ready, and that he “couldn’t go back there and put my car back together.” I understand that sometimes things take longer, but it’s the lack of communication that bothered me. I live 2 hours away. I couldn’t come back to Denver for a few days after that because of my schedule. When I was finally able to pick up my car, I drove it home only to discover that my tires had not even been rotated. I took my car to Groove Subaru in Silverthorne and they rotated the tires and checked the balance and 2 tires were out of balance. That makes me believe they didn’t balance my tires either. Both of these services I was charged for though. Jeremiah did cover the charges from the Silverthorne location. On top of this, over the next few days my car began making another sound. I took it to Breck Subie Shop this time, seeing that I wasn’t sure if it was even safe to drive back to Denver. Turns out my sway bar link was removed during the power steering repair and not put back properly. When my husband called Groove in Englewood again, the service manager Matt got an attitude with him and hung up on him. I think my husband was pretty fired up, but hanging up on a costumer is very unprofessional. I’m just very disappointed in the management at this location . We spent almost $4000 and my car was not even put back together properly and was probably not safe to be driving. Should have just gone to Breck Subie Shop to begin with.

I am so grateful to have had my car serviced by this center when I did. My car was only 2,000 miles away from an expired warranty and I had brought it in for my AC to be repaired. I had no idea that my vehicle needed any other maintenance. Dave treated me like family and was so thorough in the inspection of my car that it saved me from spending nearly $10,000. They could have just fixed my AC then sent me on my way, but instead not only changed my AC compressor but also gave me a new transmission, fixed my suspension fixed torn bearings and pointed out that my newer struts were leaking. Dave made sure that my car was safe to drive and did everything he could to make sure my car was in top shape before sending me home. I am so lucky to have brought my car in when I did and so thankful that I had this team to be incredibly reliable and thorough in my visit.

Haley had my back 💯I had been through a lot in my personal life and she went over and beyond to help me out. This place gets you in and out! And you never have to worry about coordinating a ride. Last minute I had to leave my car for half the day and I was in the range of a free Lyft and they had a ride for me within five minutes of telling me that I needed to leave my car and was home before I knew it. Even had a ride back if I needed it. And today I called to get my car in for a 60,000 and got me in same day! I know that can’t be the case every time but it very much appreciated. Efficient, caring and professional this business and their employees knock it out of the park. Thank you for always taking care of me and my baby! (WRX2018)

TL;DR check your service quote for parts prices, you might save a couple hundred dollars if you buy them from the same dealership, just online.Recently had front brakes serviced by Groove. Because we had considered doing the work ourselves, we priced parts out online through parts.Subaru.com, linked on Groove’s own website. When we picked the car up, we realized that we were charged $110.50 each for the rotors; MSRP from the Subaru parts e-store is $84.95 ea. I brought this up at pickup time and $50 was taken off the bill. However we now realize that we were overcharged for the brake pad kit (we were charged $125; MSRP is $84.95), the brake fluid itself, and the air filters we purchased at the end of April (outside of oil changes, its every part weve ever purchased from Groove). The inspection at oil change at the end of April indicated engine air filter also needed to be replaced immediately; we purchased those filters and replaced them early May. Last weeks inspection indicated that the air filter was worn, in yellow, after 2 weeks of usage.I sent a note to service manager with these complaints and a price match request to their own website quoted prices. No response.2 stars because my new brakes work fine, the car stops, this isn’t a safety issue but they’re not earning my trust by overcharging and overdiagnosing. I’ll go to Autonation next time…

Not only do they overcharge for labor, but they also take an unwarranted amount of time to do so. The parts need to come in, I understand, but they told me they needed to remove my engine to fix a part, despite then speaking to multiple mechanics after the fact to find that they absolutely don’t need to remove the part for such a thing. And that’s fine, but what really caused the one star was they broke a piece of my engine off and then refused to fix it until the following Monday (this happened on a Friday).

Our Subaru has a leaky front tire. My husband called yesterday to set an appointment to get it looked at and fixed. He told the shop he has to work during the day and would prefer to come in as early as possible. The shop told him they open at 7AM and to come on down. He arrives at 7AM today, only to be told that they dont actually begin work until 8AM and that he should have made an appointment. No one told him about an appointment. So they put in a work ticket and he sits down to wait. I start wondering where he is around 9:30AM. He tells me its busy and hes still waiting for the car. He calls me at 10AM to tell me that the shop totally forgot to actually put in the work ticket! My husband has been sitting there for 3 hours, for absolutely no reason at all and is missing work (including a conference call). Extremely unprofessional and frustrating behavior, especially since we purchased a Subaru from Groove and have paid for an extended warranty. Were in the middle of the pandemic and 1) cant be forced to wait unnecessarily in public and 2) cant be forced to miss this much work. Why do we pay for an extended warranty to be treated worse than we would at a run-of-the-mill repair shop? Dont pay for anything extra from this place. Its not worth it, even for something as simple as a leaky tire! I cant imagine what a nightmare this place is for soemthing seriously wrong with a car.

I know I could get my car serviced much closer to home and cheaper than the dealership, but I still take it to Groove because I always get friendly, professional, streamlined, and truly knowledgable service. I just had to replace the clutch on my car and was very downhearted about the price. Rachide understood my hesitation and went above and beyond by walking me through the parts, pricing, etc. and answering all of my questions (even after closing time) without pressuring me to make any decisions before I had done some research on my own. After accepting the quote, the repair was done in a very timely fashion and my sweet Subie is ready to adventure on!

Avoid their service department! Fake charges with no description.I purchased my 2016 Outback from this location, and have been taking it to them for regular maintenance. While the service people were always friendly, it turns out that their charges were kind of bogus. Periodically, they run promotions, but I’ve found that on my history of bills, they offset the savings by charging a line item called “Shop Supplies.” By reverse engineering the receipts, I was able to determine this charge is post discount and post taxes and ONLY when a discount was redeemed. Even for a predictable service like an oil change, this line item could be anywhere from $0 (when I didn’t redeem a coupon) to as much as $10 with no explanation. Not a big charge, but definitely rubs me the wrong way. Keep in mind you are already being charged for “Parts” and “Labor” as their own discrete line items and those are the lines that are taxed. I’m honestly not sure this is even legal, but will have to do more research. In the meantime, I’ll no longer be going here.

Car in on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at 0800. Picked up the car. Oil was overfilled which Groove confirmed. Brett, Service Manager at Groove called during removal they had striped the oil pan plug. He said he had to go over to Parts and would call right back. He never called. Next morning, Brett called. Said they had to drop the exhaust to replace the pan and needed two gaskets to replace the exhaust. Would need the car for another couple of days. I said no. Get it fixed and get it back.

I think the person who guided my car and me through the repair process, Ilyana Brown, is certainly a five-star employee. She is very pleasant, energetic, and helpful. The reason I withhold a star for the total experience is because its a high volume, impersonal service operation where speed matters most. I understand why it may be necessary for Groove to find the quickest, simplest repair solution regardless of cost. The work was done effectively, I think, and I appreciate that.

Bought a used Subaru Forester with 115k on it next door at the Groove Toyota. The car was religiously serviced at the groove dealership and I continued that trend. At 122k the engine suffered catastrophic engine failure...apparently a bad rod bearing, likely from low oil. I had 3000 miles before my next oil change. The dealership may have be at fault and messed something up during my previous oil change. I had the car for 6 months.Car was totaled and the staff at Groove could care less. They were rude, unprofessional, disorganized and not helpful whatsoever. I even spoke with the manager and he blamed the failure on me.Awful experience and I will never be purchasing a Subaru again or spending my money at any groove dealership. My co-workers and friends all said the same about groove. Only bad experiences. If you want a Subaru or Toyota, go to autonation or somewhere else. Don’t waste your time or money here. Its a shady and dishonest business.

I scheduled an appointment to get two Subaru recalls taken care of at groove for my 2019 Ascent. I arrived 1 hour before my 11am appointment. It took 15 minutes to get taken care of even though I had an appointment. They did offer me a free care wash. They called me a few hours later to let me know my car repairs were complete. When I picked up my car someone helped me right away. Even though I could tell my car was washed, it still had dirt in several spots on the car. On my way home I noticed the hood was bouncing up and down. Once I made it home I checked the hood and they forgot to latch it!

I talked with their service advisor, Brian Blackburn, on Thursday, and he said that someone would pickup my Subaru at 8:30 am on Friday, that they would do the recall work on my Subaru and return it to my house the same day. He called me on Friday morning at 8:35 am, to tell me that they were going to be at least a half-hour late picking it up, but he assured me that I would have my Subaru back on Friday. Come Friday afternoon, I received no call and my car was not returned so I called the dealership only to have my call forwarded to the Denver Groove showroom to be informed that everyone in Silverthorne had gone home for the day, as they had shortened their hours. They did a NO SHOW, NO CALL with my car, which for an employee would get you fired. The best I can do is give a 1 star review. I bought my car from this dealership, as it is the only one in Summit County, and due to past issues with their service department on other warranty work, I only use them for warranty work and recalls. Their service department has let me down almost every time I used them, in some cases requiring me to return my car multiple times to the dealership to fix a single problem. Lastly, days before I wrote this review, I called and left a message for Jeff Zeiter, the General Manager on his direct line, to talk to him about this problem, but I never received a call back from anyone at the dealership. Seems indicative of their whole operation.

Only place I have every brought my Subaru for service for 5+ years. Only huge issue in the past was having keys for my car lost, tech took home in pocket. No huge deal, honestly funny because I’m pretty sure I paid for nothing as oil light came on. Still fine, as they had customer service. But after last few times seriously would tell people to reconsider buying Subaru.Came in today for an oil change and tire rotation, went into express as that has always been no appointment needed. After pulling in to bay and opening car door was ignored by literally 5 people for a few minutes until another car pulled in. To which the manager greets them first and asks if they were first. After coming to me basically asked if I had appointment, which I didn’t. Then scanned vin and immediately said “looks like you declined the recommended brake change last time”. To which I said that was a few times ago as I just came during September and had a bunch of work done on tires, brakes, suspension, etc and dropped $2600. He acted as though that service didn’t happen. Only found out today for some reason only my front breaks were replaced in September and said I told them to do that…. Literally approved all recommended service that day just happy to have new breaks and tires…. But only half new breaks and new tires, which oddly enough one of the tires was only hand tightened so after leaving and paying $2600, almost wrecked because tire almost came off…. Lol being nice didn’t call that in as nothing happened and am capable of tightening the bolts, but also was thinking the rest of the service on my car was completed correctly thinking I had all breaks replaced etc…From not being greeted to being told I refused a break replacement that I literally came in 2 months ago and paid $2600 for a bunch of other services, to the manager calling me the wrong name and questioning me when I corrected him, who has helped me many times. To him making a point of showing that the person who came in after left before. To not being given free car wash or have fluids topped off. To not ensuring tires are tightened. Really let a loyal customer know how much you really care. Loved the tech bringing up as a threatening reminder about replacing my break pads….. maybe I’ll make another appointment…..Sorry if this doesn’t make sense really just venting.
