Good auto mechanics arent easy to find -- especially when youre traveling cross country and are a thousand miles from home. You feel a bit panicked when youre suddenly stranded. BUT, Halbinsel helped us out in a pinch and were friendly, helpful, thorough and quick. And they were very honest with, as well, us and didnt overcharge for their work. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Halbinsel (which, btw, means Peninsula in German)!!

Colin, and the rest of the Halbinsel staff, is so wonderful to work with! He was quick to respond to my emails and and never once tried to wheel and deal us. He provided us with answers to all of our questions and never once was pushy. Halbinsel says that they will treat you like family, and we certainly were made to feel like family. We are thrilled about our new car! We had a great car buying experience and highly recommend them!

My check engine light came on for my Volkswagen at 4:00 in the afternoon. Tim was wonderful!! He squeezed my car in right away, diagnosed the problem and set me up with a loaner to get home - 35 miles away!!

The mechanics here are great. They service my VW regularly. They let you borrow a car while yours is being worked on free of charge. Or will pick you up/drop you off. No complaints!

Horrible service. Had a vehicle for over 6 months just kept replacing parts till one finally worked. When we got vehicle back had to take right back to a honest repair facility. Terrible service unethical service

Helped family members buy a car here; take delivery of it tomorrow, from what I can see thus far they have been great. Salesperson was not a sleaze bag like Bergstrom Audi/VW was. At this point I would recommend Habinsel without reservations.

Their service department is awesome.Always prompt. They go out of their way to assist you wherever possible. Driving from Marquette, they work with my schedule. They have Saturday hours. Loaners are available if needed. They are also happy to drive you downtown and pick you up. Great restaurants and shopping in Escanaba.I highly recommend Habinsel!I love my VW!
