The staff was kind, knowledgeable, and honest with my 84-year-old father. He had older hearing aids and they cleaned them thoroughly and told us that they were working fine. They didn’t try to sell him new hearing aids since his were working well after the cleaning. It was greatly appreciated.

The doctor was very thorough and professional. She helped my mother by setting her up with hearing aids. She used a computer system to calibrate the hearing aids perfectly. She even set them up by Bluetooth with her iPhone so she can hear calls on her phone. We are so pleased with the process and the outcome!

I visited the Professional Hearing Associates office in Poway and was very pleased. Dr. Marin did COVID-19 safety checks at the door and only allowed one person in her office at a time. The receptionist, Shea, was friendly and professional. Dr. Marin explained everything she was doing and answered all of my questions. I received my hearing aid quickly and am so pleased. I can now hear so much more than I previously did. I feel better not having to ask people to repeat themselves as often.

I appreciated being seen on time--and Dr. Illich was knowledgeable and performed the actual testing of my hearing. Things went well and quickly with the testing, and test results were shared with me and sent to my ENT. He also questioned me about my past hearing issues--if I had any--what were they like, and had I been tested before. A thorough appointment experience.

I had been to two different places, and felt uncomfortable, like all they wanted was for me to BUY. But Heather, just adjusted my aids so I could hear better about 2 years ago. I have now gotten to the place my aids were just not doing the job so I made an appointment. Heather tested me and told me about a new aid that would help me, and let me use it free to see how I did. WOW IT IS LIKE SHE FIXED MY EARS!!! A whole new world opened to me, I can hear and understand people in a place where there is lots of background noise!! Thank YOU Heather for your honesty and caring - OH and that beautiful smile.

The staff are very nice. Dr. Cones is very attentive and helpful. They have helped me a lot with my hearing. The Oticon hearing aid is really nice with the cell phone app and the connectclip make it easy to use along with the ability to answer the cellphone and listen to music when I am exercising.

Dr. Cones is amazing. She identified my hearing loss but went further to find out why. She insisted that I have an MRI and I believe she single handedly saved my life. The MRI results revealed an anuerysm on the side of my hearing loss. I am so thankful for Dr. Cones. Also, the front office staff are so friendly, always remember your name and ask how you are doing. I HIGHLY recommend this doctors office and will forever be grateful to them.

Ive been a patient of David Illich for many years. I cannot imagine going to anyone else to meet my hearing loss needs. Over the years, David and his staff have always been professional, courteous and sincerely interested in remedying my audiology related deficiencies. I recently acquired new hearing aids at the Escondido office. Heather Cones, an associate of David, was my audiologist. She outfitted me with Starkey brand hearing aids. After putting me through a battery of tests, including computerized analysis/adjustment of my hearing aids to meet my particular needs, the results were superlative. I am hearing better today than when I first began visiting the office over sixteen years ago. Heather did a wonderful job. And I cannot say enough about all of the other wonderful staff members of the Escondido office including Alma, the hearing aid specialist, as well as Andrea and Janel, additional members of the office staff.

Want to hear again? I wish I had known to start here before visiting so many other places. Very helpful team of caring pros. I got the Oticon minirite and I love it. The TV adapter is brilliant. I use an Android and that means Id need another device to stream music from a cell phone where iPhone users can stream directly. Still, its so nice to hear again.
