My sons rubber latex twin mattress was made in a timely manner and Danny personally delivered it without me being constrained to one of those usual four-hour windows.In a nutshell- beautiful mattress, wonderful experience.

Years ago, we purchased a custom made mattress at Escondido Mattress for an antique bed we use for guests. We recently needed to replace our own queen sized mattress due to smoke and ash contamination from a wild fire. Because our mattress contained latex we wanted the same comfort if possible. We searched for Latex mattresses on line and rediscovered Escondido Mattress Co.. Owner, Danny Emden, was informative about his custom made mattresses, showing us each of the different firmness and explaining the combinations of topper, mattress and box springs to choose from. We chose the level 8 latex and a 2 inch topper to go on our existing slat frame. Mr. Emden delivered the mattress and we are so very grateful for the comfort and the rest that mattress brings. My wife and I needed a pair of custom size mattresses made for our RV. We went and talked to Danny who was friendly, personable and knowledgeable about everything having to do with mattresses. We were headed for a RV trip and were wondering if he could get them done in time. Not only did he have them done 3-days early, he offered to deliver them to our RV in Rancho Bernardo and haul away the old pair as well. You just cant get that kind of service from any of the big box mattress stores. In the near future we will be needing new mattresses for our master bedroom and would not hesitate to go back to Escondido Mattress Company and see Danny again.

Wonderful service! Danny was a pleasure to work with; we really appreciate his approach and philosophy on his business. Hes not interested in going on Shark Tank to make millions (while lessening his costs only to produce a less than quality product). We were so impressed with our Escondido Mattress Company experience! Randy, the grandfather was so authentically helpful. His grandson Daniel was a gentleman and the one who delivered our new bed to us. We are so happy we purchased our mattress locally because it feels really great to support such kind and honest people. And, to top it off we got a better price than I could find online!The latex mattress is the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. I will offer a tip for purchasing the perfect mattress... What feels like the right firmness by lying down on a mattress for a few minutes in the store is different than what the right firmness is when sleeping on the bed all night. The extra firm felt comfortable when laying on it for five minutes in the store. After a week of sleeping all night on it, we decided we needed a little more softness. So we ended up adding a soft 2 topper and now we are in heaven every night- firm support for a base with an extra layer of softness on the top.After we had been using our mattress for a few weeks, we mentioned to my husbands (ninety year old) mother that we had purchased a mattress from Escondido Mattress Company. She said that she had purchased a mattress from them in the early 60s and it lasted for at least 40 years!!! The only reason she passed it on was because her husband had passed away on it. So, we are confident that we will be enjoying our bed for a very long time!Thank you for taking such great care of us!

This is an outstanding local business. Family owned for many decades. Daniel answered all my questions. A true Escondido treasure. I love the fact they use organic Latex. This is far superior to the faddish memory foam.

My wife and I bought our first latex mattress approximately 10 years ago from a Serta outlet in Long Beach. After owning numerous conventional mattresses, this latex mattress was incredible. After a number of years the Serta latex mattress began to break down. So, my wife started to research companies that sold latex mattresses. She found Escondido Mattress on the internet. She shared with me Dannys small video of his showroom, and shop area where his product is made onsite. We made the trek down to Escondido Mattress and were amazed by his old school high quality operation. We tried out his showroom mattresses and decided on his 100% firm latex bed with a topper with 100% latex fill. He delivered our new mattress, and the end result is incredible! The service is out standing. The business has been open for decades and since it is family owned, there is no turn over of employees being trained to say what you want to hear.Recommended to purchase the extra firm mattress because latex is softer than a standard mattress.Unfortunately. the latex mattress did not work for me (I bought the firm one) so I had to return it. This is a unique problem. I am very over weight, have back issues, and I purchased the twin size so these may be very well the factors that contributed to my unsatisfactory experience with the new mattress. I woke up throughout the night with back pain and my mattress would slide from the box spring. By the way, I kept the mattress covered and very clean for their pick-up which was with in two weeks of purchase. I am sorry it did not work out for me but the whole experience was uncanny. I would recommend this place to anyone.

I bought the latex topper. The last few years I had shoulder and back pain that lasted throughout the day. I had no idea that the 3k stearns and foster all natural bed that I had was just too firm of a mattress. I bought the two inch latex topper and I cannot believe how great I feel and how well I sleep.
