Georgies in Eugene is a great resource for potters! The staff is very helpful and they carry almost all of the commercial glazes and underglazes, most every raw material you might need, tools, etc.Decent selection of GR forms (but not all). Prices are good on glazes, high on equipment (like kilns, wheels), and decent on tools and such.Their own branded clay bodies are easy to work with and are varied. If youre picking up 25# bags, make sure that the bag doesnt have a hole in it (learned this the hard way). Their branded glazes can be difficult and sometimes the quality control is missing in terms of mix or open jars.Love Georgies!

Great little ceramics store tucked away behind downtown Eugene. Ive always been able to quickly find what I came to find, and when I havent, the staff have always been very helpful. The owner of the store is always awesome to work with and will make sure you get whatever it is you need, too!

Wow! As cliche as it sounds, Ive gone by this place countless times without ever realizing it was there. Im a neophyte novice, but it seems they have everything a ceramicist would need. Great prices on clay!

Katie in portland was the most rude person i have spoke with in the industry. i will never buy from georgies again. she was so awful and mean spirited. i can tell her life was miserable and she was not willing to listen. I would not recommend this buisness for anything. She needs to be fired and work not around people.

I love these guys. Theyre some of the nicest, most helpful, and knowledgeable folks Ive met in an art supplies store. The little store is has about everything clay-related that you could possibly want, and they make some really beautiful claya and glazes.

Its a 3 hour drive for us to shop here. Georges has the best selection of pottery supplies any where in Oregon. They serve most professional and recreational needs for tools and equipment.

Their website is a bit outdated but they have great customer service, good prices and even a delivery to Bend. I ordered a few different types of clay to try out and so far I have been impressed with all of them. Ill definitely be ordering again in the future.

Incredibly kind, helpful, and generous staff. Always a treat to visit and pick up clay and tools... excellent selections and high quality. They work closely with artists. Bulk deals on clay is awesome. Earlier this year they had a sale on throwing wheels and I caught them a bit after the deal ended. Called them up, talked to their distributer and they honored the deal!! Really great people in our local clay community.

They are great. Very helpful, knowledgeable. Not trying to sell, but to understand your level and what you want to do. Every time we go in (wife is the potter) we learn something new. Thanks Georgies.

Sharing an uncalled personal review for stoneware slip so you dont make the same mistake. This is stoneware slip purchased from Georgies Ceramics & Clay. It cost 19.54 just to ship it on top of a 3.00 handling charge. This stuff wont even drip off of your fingers. Its so thick. Doesnt smell like clay or other slip Ive tried - smells like nothing - feels like latex paint. It wont wash off your hands easy either because of the latex feel. I called and asked for it to be returned and said slip should not be like this. Was told no and to just add water to it and would get more slip. ??? WHAT???? Was also told she didnt know what to tell me and it was that little bit of money Id have to loose. A total of 36.54 gone for 1 gallon of crap slip. To some people, thats a lot of money, food on the table, etc. Then, this is not mentioned on their website, they use a plastic type base in their slip and it takes a long time to set up in the mold. What a way to ruin a mold. This is what their website states: Georgies Natural White stoneware slip uses the same clay formula as our moist clay, G-Mix 6 (CC520). You can tint this slip with Mason Stains or other colorants to your preference as you mix it. Note the wording clay formula. I dont like giving negative reviews but this one is called for and dont want to see someone else who is trying to find a good slip go through this.

Good selection and knowlegeable staff. Only bummer is the student discount only applies to Georgies clay/glazes and Kemper tools. Unfortunately, as a student moving up in the world, I need discounts on other things like bats, wheels, kilns, etc.
