We were looking for a farm to visit for my sons 3rd birthday and Ann was able to squeeze us in on the day I called. The facilities are rustic and charming and we were able to hang out with the Alpacas for over an hour. Kids loved the interactions and we felt very safe in the environment. Ann let us explore the barn and answered all our questions about the alpacas and the property. I would highly recommend a visit if you are near Eugene. Great for kids and adults alike.

My man-wife and I brought our kiddos here to visit the alpacas, and bask in their cuteness and I’m glad that we went. We enjoyed speaking with the owner, who shared some very interesting facts with us about alpacas and their care. This farm is home to several award winning alpacas who produce blue ribbon worthy coats. The multigenerational galloping goofballs were fun to spend time with, and each one of the 20 or so had a very distinct personality, even the 21 year old ‘granny goober’ was a hoot.We will be returning with apples in hand next time. This is really a laid back but very enjoyable alpaca farm. Loved it!

Aragon Alpacas is a beautiful alpaca farm. Ann was a sweetheart and super friendly. She showed us all of the Alpacas and we got to take so many pictures. 11/10 could not recommend enough. If you travel to Eugene, you HAVE TO come to Aragon Alpacas.

I loved being able to meet the Alpacas and Llama and learning how an Alpaca ranch works. The store is charming and has everything from fiber for spinning to finished items like hand-knit stuffed animals and scarves to art and tapestries. Ann is warm and welcoming and a delight to spend time with.

Great little place that gives you a tour of the alpacas. They told me each ones names, body features, additudes, ages, and other things like bathroom behaviors, foods, aging etc. Some of them got a little sketchy however they are very nice animals, with many interesting attributes.

Highly suggest you watch “The Emperor’s New Groove” before or after going here. I know the movie was about a llama, but llamas and alpacas are close enough. I definitely have a different opinion about the movie after seeing the alpacas here. If you don’t know what the movie is about, essentially an emperor turns into a llama. When he becomes a llama, he really doesn’t like it. When I saw this movie as a kid I was so glad to be a human and not a llama. After coming to this place I realized it might not be so bad to be a llama/alpaca after all. Some were more friendly than others, but they all seemed pretty content. There seemed to be different groups and cliques and a few loners out there. It was kind of like high school. It seemed immature of them, but maybe that’s just where they were developmentally at in their lives. Anyways, I had a great time here learning more about alpaca dynamics and I like the new perspective I’ve gained for the movie, The Emperor’s New Groove.

I have visited Aragon Alpacas a couple of times and definitely plan to go back. Even though its just on the edge of town, it is so peaceful and relaxing. I feel kind of bad asking Ann questions that she probably answers many times a day, but if shes tired of answering them, she doesnt show it! Shes very informative and clearly adores the alpacas. And they have the best names! Im excited to get started on a project with the yarn I bought in the shop -- its soft and beautiful. I highly recommend visiting if you enjoy animals, peaceful places, fiber arts, and/or learning new things. (quick tip... slow down as you approach the farm -- the Aragon sign and the barns are easy to locate, but it is on a bit of a bend in the road and the driveway can be hard to spot if you havent been there before)
