It is not often I leave a 1 star review. My sweet mom brought in hundreds of dollars worth of clothes (including brand new with tags) for me in a box and a stroller and the employee was rude to her and made a huge fuss about the deep box it was in. She would not say which items she took and wouldnt say what she was giving for each item. Honestly it was an absolute rip off and greedy of them to buy things for so cheap just so they could sell them for more to try and get more profit for themselves. Half the trade in value in cash is ridiculous and greedy. It should be at least 75% of the trade in value for cash payouts. I will never bring anything in here again or buy anything from this store.

Wow! Seeing the way this (these) owners respond to negative reviews is shocking. I have a young daughter in Eugene, and had been told about this store from a friend. After seeing the responses I will not be shopping here. So unprofessional to name call and try to be snarky over a review response. My friend said she took clothes in about a month ago and had similar treatment, but she didn’t leave a review so wasn’t sure what happened or if it was more one sided. Was excited to check this place out, I now would feel uncomfortable shopping here. :( I called the shop to let them know that they are detouring people from coming there being so aggressive on there review page. The woman on the phone was polite but laughed (unprofessional again).

The one star review is not for any other reason than witnessing the owner be verbally abusive to her employees and anything but welcoming to me. I have never witnessed somebody publicly humiliate an employee, and while I was at the counter and the employee was obviously training.….all this in the middle of the transaction. I would have walked out and debated saying something but didn’t for fear the employee would get some backlash. I have shopped here frequently with my first child…BUT WILL NOT EVER AGIAN. You don’t treat people that way for any reason!

DO NOT TRADE IN OR SHOP HERE!!!DESERVES NEGATIVE STARS!!I brought in 2 bags full of neatly folded, buttoned basically brand new clothes to this store for trade in. I gave the person working, my bags and slip and she said she would get to it after the 2 customers ahead of me. First they had nothing in larger sizes ( size 7 or 8). After quite a bit of time she said because she was so far behind I needed to do drop and run. I never did one before but had other errands to run so agreed. That was my mistake.I trusted that they had honest, customer driven business practices. I was VERY wrong!!! When I got a call the next day to pick up my items for trade in the amount of $22, I did not know I would arrive to having my 2 bags over packed with nice clothes down to half a bag of disorganized mess. When I asked to see what they took, I was VERY rudely told by the owner/manager they have no way to tell me that?! I asked for my things back. She again said they couldnt do that! These were my things I didnt agree to the amount they offered me and just wanted my things and to leave. The manager said she couldnt do any of that and I could either have $11 cash or trade in of $22 that I cant use since they dont carry anything in larger sizes. So if you want to be treated like garbage and basically have your belongings stolen, Id recommend this disaster of a store. I shop local and will now only go to Peppypotamus. Because they actually run a proper business.

( I WAS TREATED HORRIBLE AND TOLD THAT THEY DO NOT NEED MY BUSINESS) I just called my little children in Eugene to ask how they go about clothing trade in’s for in store credit due to a new child on the way. The gal that answered the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. Seamed like she hated dealing with trade ins which is mind blowing because that’s how they have a business. So I explained there all carter clothes, un-stained and I’m just curious on the process because I’ve never done this before. She continued bieng extremely rude and unprofessional, so I said you know I think I’ll call another store and see what there process is, and she told me (SOUNDS GREAT TO ME “WE DONT NEED YOUR BUISNESS”)I was dumbfounded as I was so nice the whole conversation. I even offered to help them sort the clothes at one point and she just laughed and rudely said we don’t need your help. I have three little ones at home and WILL NEVER SHOP THERE!! And I will discourage anyone from going there. WOW IM STILL SHOCKED. INSANE.

My Little Children should be a little more humane on their return policy. I came in and bought a bassinet stroller and car seat combo. My son instantly hated it so brought it back the very next day to return it hoping to get my cash back since it was an 3expensive purchase and I had just come in the day before. The clerk stated the return policy (which I had overlooked the day before. Definitely my bad.) I asked if she could call the owner to see if they would make an exception since I had just been in the day before. They did not budge on it. Im very disappointed in their customer service and do not recommend them.

I hate leaving bad reviews but after my experience today I have no choice I have been coming in to the store for years and recently had a new baby and purchased a baby ergo Front pack it was the canvas one that retails for $170 I bought it for 70 it did not fit properly due to me breast-feeding and being larger on top so I tried to return within the week I bought it they would not give me a cash refund but store credit I did not want store credit due to having everything I needed besides a front pack so I decided to keep it and maybe gift it to somebody later on who was having a baby. Later on I decided to maybe try and sell it back to them I did a drop and goAnd expected to hear back from them the next day but to my surprise they called me the same day offering me $20 in in-store credit I told them no thank you and explain that I bought it from them for 70 so I would like cash and I believe the woman I spoke to was new and said she could not help me so I said that’s fine and said I would be back in in the next few days to pick it up today I went in the store to pick it up and there were three women working and they all seemed very overwhelmed I was trying to be as polite as possible and just say that I was here to pick up my front pack and leave and the woman I spoke to today was probably the worst customer Service experience I’ve ever had! She had no mask on to start and then when I told her I was there to pick it up she said who did I speak to I told her I had no idea what her name was and she rolled her eyes and scofed and said well I can’t help you you’re gonna have to just wait I was extremely taken back by her rudeness so I was polite and waiting as there were customers in there also trying to sell their stuff and then young woman came from behind the counter and found my front pack and gave it to me and the woman that I was having the experience with went on to say we do sell for cash but those are terrible we don’t sell those and I said I understand I bought this from you for $70And she rolled her eyes again and said well I don’t know what you want me to tell you I then smiled happily under my mask and told the women to have a wonderful day granted I did not need such anger or hostility when just trying to pick up my belongings I will not be shopping there anymore I love to support local businesses but at the same time I will not spend my hard earned money in a store where I’m treated unfairly

We like how kind the ladies are, there!! Everything seems reasonably priced too!

So it took a lot of mulling this over to decide to write this review. I would say that a year ago this store was phenomenal, the people were never super customer-servicey but when you talk to them they’re nice. Lately though everyone I meet is... bored. And just milling around. The store is overcrowded constantly and as I perused the options I 100% believe they could be a cute 2nd hand store if they were just more discerning about the stuff they take in. The majority of toys there are caked in gunk and ickiness that I could easily wipe away with my finger but I’m not about to spend money on... especially during a pandemic. The shoes are WAY over priced, despite heavy wear. You can buy baby vans at the Vans store between $20-$40 and you’ll pay that same price here just... not new. I did manage to find a pair of Vans that were only $10! ... with a hole in the canvas. Really? The clothing options are alright and usually priced fairly! But super disorganized, which is technically due to annoying customers probably, but it’s kind of part of your job to keep the store organized and shoppable. So I guess for now it’s just not worth it to even go in when there are better options in regards to cleanliness, order, cost, friendliness, and comfortable atmosphere. I LOVE buying second hand, I avoid new at /most/ costs... so I’ll probably pop in every couple of months to see if things get better. I really do hope to see this cute store reach its potential!

I love that they are picky about what items they will take so that the store is full of high quality items at a discounted price. The .25 sale each month is also amazing!!

Not very many toddler clothes size 4t and the prices are pretty high for being a resale store.

Very disappointed!I had never been in to do trade before so I call first to get the details. It was Sunday so they didnt open till 11am. Didnt answer the phone till almost 11:30am. Finally get someone on the phone to ask about how trade works. She says yeah bring your stuff in. I get there about 1pm with my box of all name brand good condition clothes, and shoes. The lady tells me I have to drop and run. I tell her Ill just go somewhere else as Im not interested in coming back at another time. This irritates her, and she says fine give me a minute. She only accepts about 5 peaces from my large box of items. Then wants to keep the rest for donation. I purchased 3 items. Bring them home, and wash them. One of the dresses I got loses a bow in the laundry. Its obvious it was glued on! There is glue Marks all over the dress that I cant get off. The lady was super rude, and the clothing selection was lacking. Customer service sucks, selection sucks, clothing quality sucks! Will not be going back.

Hate to leave a bad review, but I used to love this place. I feel like over the years they have become more and more picky on what they take. Super overpriced on what they have on their racks and very unorganized. Every time I go in there they only have 1 person working to handle front desk, trade in, and checking people out. I feel terrible for that person! They always seem super overwhelmed. I had nice to stuff to trade in and only got 8 dollars. The lady at the front was like “you can take your stuff to peppy.” That’s exactly what I’m going to do from now on.

I needed to buy for a friend who was having a premie. I was lost on what to get but this nice lady helped me when I asked whats this? Whats this? Over and over. I had a great experience and I got so much for my buck plus she went digging to find me premie clothes for baby. Thank you

I brought my granddaughter here recently, to the Coburg road location. The racks were very disorganized, we were looking for 18 months but it was all mixed. 9 months, 2t, all over the place. I mentioned it to the employee and she dismissed me. My granddaughter found a toy in this bin that she liked and the employee tells me, Oh, shes not allowed to play with any of that. I told her we would purchase them but we were still browsing but she says, No, you have to purchase them first. These were used toys, mind you. So I purchase this toy and ask if she could help me find a coat, thats why we came here. She says to look in the section marked 18 months. We left, not coming back.

Very great company. They always go above and beyond to make the customers happy.They have some really great prices for Children of all ages. Best place to shop for kids.

Last night was the first night I had actually ever been into MLC. The woman working was kind, patient and knowledgeable. Even though I walked in 5 minutes to closing, no realizing the closing time. She answered every question I had and even stayed late. They had great prices and I will definitely be returning!!

The middle-aged worker with the blonde can I speak to the manager haircut was very rude to me. I went in to ask questions about selling/trading clothes and all she could tell me is were closing. It was 20 minutes to close and she wouldnt even let me speak other than to ask how much stuff I had, what sizes they were, and what kind of containers they are in, whilst showing me out the door. I didnt even get to shop around. Ive heard from others that the prices are high for used baby clothing as well. I wont be returning.Editing as I cant respond: I think you have the wrong person in mind, I didnt even have my stuff with or ready just was curious and had been in the area. If (you?) werent so quick to push people out the door and actually took a moment to listen to them your reviews (and sales) might improve. Your lack of customer service seems to be an ongoing trend that is really disappointing.

WHEN IT WAS TIME TO CHECK OUT, I TOLD HER I TWINS, SHE GOT VERY UPSET AND TOLD ME OK, NEXT TIME YOU NEED TO TELL US BEFORE YOU EVEN BRING ME YOUR CLOTHES!!! NOW I HAVE TO START OVER! AS IF HAVING SMALL TWINS ISNT HARD ENOUGH TO SHOP WITH! I DO NOT NEED THAT SORT OF ATTITUDE. FROM BRINGING ALL MY TUB OF CLOTHES THEY ONLY CHOSE 2 THINGS AND OFFERED ME 5$ CREDIT, NO THANKS! My wife was accosted here by the older lady with gray hair. After finding out the terms of exchange were in store credit only. She tried to gather her belongings, only then was told that she could get $11 cash for all of it. Feeling a little uneasy like some shady back alley drug deal she refused kindly and had her items thrown at her!!! At which point my beautiful well mannered wife asked about the 3 pairs of shoes the gray haired lady tried to STEAL!!! She scoffed and said she already tagged them! Haha what a riot. Anyway she got everything thrown back at here and left without any theft occuring on the businesss part. What a horrible way to treat people who are already struggling and trying to do the right thing by recycling.

I love this store, but I wish they would be more relaxed about which brands of clothing they would accept for trade. Nearly half of my items if not more than half get rejected every time because they arent a certain brand. Its a bummer :(

This owner is Rude Rude Rude! I went in for a trade and she acted like me being there was a terrible inconvenience. Then the new girl (who was wonderful and super sweet) did my trade. After she finished, the owner made snide remarks about my baby clothes the entire time. It’s fine to refuse things that you can’t sell, but don’t mock your customers. I will not be going back.Go to Peppypotamus instead!!

Very over priced (for used items) and I dont like that 50% of the store is brand new items. Also not cool that you make money on items that you wont take but people donate to your sale. Staff should be friendlier and also not on their phones. Business is business.

Very disappointed. Went there today to find my son his first pair of Robeez. After calling around and browsing websites we decided to stop in and see what they had. The Willamette store indicated that all of their Robeez had been sent to the Coburg store so we were hopeful to find some. Poor selection. They only had a handful to choose from and unfortunately did not have the size for our son. But what was even worse was the customer service. I work in customer service and may have high standards but not giving a customer the time of day is not okay. I had to initiate a greeting but the lady behind the counter had other things to do. I went there with the intention of spending money. I did not accomplish that goal. I was standing less than 10ft from her looking at the shoes and talking to my fiance about what I was looking for and received no help from her. She was so engrossed in whatever she was doing behind the counter she couldnt see that customers were needing assistance. So we took our business elsewhere and will not be back.

Please dont support this store. The negative reviews are right. The owner was extremely rude and gave a total of $15.00 credit for 5 brand new shoes( michael kors). Any one knows they are worth way more. When I asked for them back, she threw them on the counter with a huff and ripped up the credit slip. No way to treat people. I can see why there was no one in there shopping. Nothing worth buying and owners attitude.

I do like this store, but I hesitantly review it as being overpriced...sometimes only a dollar less than new. HUGE collection of clothing up to 3t, then it seems to thin out. I think they carry up to 6/7t. This place also buys (in trade) name brand clothing, toys, books, and SOME baby supplies. Larger items (furniture, strollers, etc) are purchased case by case. Most items they buy is actually for trading credit. There are also many new (medium to high price range) items from clothing to toys to decorations to choose from. They also host quarter (.25) sales.Make sure to grab a stamp card!

By far the best resale store for baby’s and children! It’s my go to when I need any clothes for my son :)

I want to start off with this was my first time in this store.. and I’ve been to other used baby stores. Never have I felt so irritated . When I dropped in today which was about 20 mins ago .. no body greeted me. They didn’t ask me if I have ever been to their store. They didn’t tell me how it all works. The lady was rude as heck. And she treated her younger employee with no respect. Her tone was so damn rude. Their were kids in there and you could hear them drop toys on accident and she’s talking to her employee like omg and sending her to check what’s going on.. she is not a lady that should own a shop where theirs kids. After she was done with looking through my clothing.. she said I have 12$ in credit.. I said how does this work? Do you guys give either cash or store credit and she said ummm.. well their wasn’t anything really cash worthy... like really lady?!? You took a bath tub, towels and some clothing.. Obviously it was worthily enough for you take it. I will be sticking with baby’s world baby store and the one at gateway mall for now on. Rudest person in customer service I’ve ever came into contact with. This was the coburg location

Ive been a customer at my little children for around five years now primarily seeing the same employee visit after visit and always felt well taken care of and had all my questions answered on my last visit however there was another woman in there Im assuming is the owner who was rudely barking orders at the employee and very short with me as a customer I did not appreciate that and the employee did not deserve it
