The staff here are very helpful. We came to find a faucet adapter with the idea that our original adapter is not suitable. The staff told us that our adapter is good and teach us how to use it. We save some extra money. Great experience.

Worst Home Depot location I have ever visited. After three visits, Im done here and will drive further to less convenient options to avoid it. Their inventory does not match the website. The # in stock has been wrong multiple times for me. Customer service (like all big box locations) is non-existent and even when I have found a person they were completely uninterested in helping. And lastly, this location is 100% self-check out. I dont mind the option but how low does shopping need to sink to appease the corporate overlords and investors? We are already shopping in a warehouse with no help. Now we ring ourselves out? In 5 years will I be asked to unload the truck? Sweep the floor? This is not a co-op. I do the work and you get the profit? Nope. Good bye. There are other locations in the area that are SO much better.

This is the best paint department in the area! Josie was extremely helpful last Friday in helping me out with my purchase. I live closer to the Lincoln/McCormick one but rather drive the extra blocks for better service. She took time to ask if I needed help and was more than happy to answer my questions. I was commenting to my husband about the contrast to other Home Depots where you had to search for help and then when you found it and they went off to help and they never returned! I forgot her name but she sits by where those computers desks are by the flooring/ blinds area. She was Extremely helpful towards us in getting our newly bought apartments window blinds. She herself guided us thru the whole process, cut those pieces according to the appropriate sizes we needed. Home Depot is a Pro at choosing the best specialist!

Worst pro desk service ever I have experienced any home depot. The long hair man asked me to go regular register for pay, because he was busy with watching YouTube. Lol. I need to wait for at least 15min for line. Best service ever I had.

Went here for hard to find pole light caps. This is the Home Depot I often visit and they were well stocked with them. Found the stock this day and service to be top notch.

This is like most Home Depot a self service store. Meaning, you rarely can find anyone to help you, so you better not need help. When you do get someone. its like you asked them to work and theyre offended. Most employees here look like theyre in a bad mood and dont want to be there. Long as I have been going to this store, I have found maybe 2-3 employees that seem to enjoy their job and or helping people. So you hope theyre around if you got an ask. Great place to find plants.

Employees are very helpful directing you to the right place and even go out of their way to help you. Lots of walking but well worth it.

Fairly standard Home Depot, but since parking is readily available and selection is always good, I see no issues in being a full five stars. Store is clean, well stocked and it is always ready to find assistance.

I had the best experience with Joe Tucker today. He was so kind and helpful with a smile on his face regardless of the mask. I was looking for laminate flooring and a mini freezer and he did such a great job helping me find the two items. He simplified my life by setting it up perfectly in my vehicle. This is a great Home Depot! The selection is what you would expect from other Home Depots. However, what makes them stand above the rest is the great service! I rented a hand sander and the clerk made many excellent recommendations on products to use for my project. I didnt ask but he walked me through the aisles and showed me exactly which products would be best for my project. He was really funny and not a stuffy salesman which goes a long way for me. As a novice and also nervous about my project I really appreciated this! Additionally they allow dogs in the store so bringing the pup with is never an issue.

I really try to stay away from Home Depot. But this time there was a young person who had some empathy and made sure I was satisfied. Most dont seem to care. I prefer ACE

This is our go to hardware store. We try Crafty Beaver and ACE too but they unfortunately are rarely stocked. The associates at this HD are often more knowledgeable and helpful than the other HDs in the area, or the Lowes or Menards. Weve had excellent experiences in lumber, electric, customer service, and plumbing. They lose a star because of the incredibly awful rental department. Maybe they just look bad compared to the other great people in the store, but the rental team has always been inefficient and often even rude and condescending. Next time well get a U-Haul from down the road if we need a truck to haul purchases away or go to Lowes for tools to avoid having to interact with the rental department again.

Went to the garden shop nobody out there I asked the gentleman and the booth that was taking payments he said it wasnt his job and he said he called the manager and I waited 15 minutes nobody showed up but as I was walking out the store I mentioned to a couple of the customer service people they apologize thoroughly and ask if they could help but I had a zoom call to get to so I couldnt hang around but because of them I will be back and I will be helping for better service

Spent 35 minutes at the cutting center waiting for assistance, made three phone calls and no one showed. Called to complain and person hung up the phone on me. Wasted time. Sad that I could not complete my project.

The staff here make the place easy to navigate and are very helpful but lets be honest, the real prize of visiting The Home Depot are the hotdogs. These are legit and so well put together. Most places just throw the condiments and not care how sloppy but this lady was creating art when she put mine together. So good, Ill definitely come back here for more.They also sell super doughnuts!

Typical Home Depot. Nothing different from the others. A bunch of overworked underpaid workers on willing to help you. I dont like that the owners of Home Depot supporter some of the Senators and congressmen that participated in the Insurrection of January 6th. I am closing my account and I am never going back to Home Depot. I would only go to the local hardware stores in my neighborhood.

We went there yesterday to have some cabinet for our new business and we purchased 300$ value cabinet. We also bought some other staff but one of the item we got that was not what we needed. We did not release cabinet of the doors were opening to the other side and we wanted to return. We ripped of cardboard because that was not easy to carry and we did not like it. While we carrying we did 2 little scratch nothing crazy and they did not want to take it back. We were using the Home Depot for long time but after this incident we wont be using in future. With a little bit fixable scratch we had to leave from the store and left the cabinet there. Manager was saying they do have a right to accept return or not accept to return of the product. We decided to leave the cabinet right in front of the customer service and leave from the store. I felt like i just throw 300$ to the streets and that was not nice. I wish they would even try to help us and offer something to fix this. We will not go there again for any kind of staff and cancel the our membership with them. The experience we have with their manager that was not professional and we really disappointed. I wish they would at least offer something and we would posted some good reviews for them.

I frequently go to this Home Depot. As with many Home Depot locations, some have a wide stock of supplies and sometimes it is frustrating when their stock at this location is limited. I can say however the paint department here is amazing. There is one guy names John and he is a professional painter and knows EVERYTHING there is about drywall, priming, prepping and paining and more. If you show him a photo of a problem you may have, which in this case I did have a big problem with some drywall and paint peeling, he knew exactly what I needed and gave him the right feedback I was looking for with a product suggestion. I will say what this location gets right are the folks that work here, they are smart, dedicated and you can always have a conversation with them. Unlike the McCormick location in Lincolnwood/ Chicago, folks here WANT to help you. Worth visiting them, every time.

Had most of the pvc trim boards I was looking for

Shop here many times, but had to take the time to do a thank you and a shout out to OC yes that was the name on his orange apron. I had have repaired flappers on toilet, no problem, but now was faced with a flow valve leaking nonstop. OC took the time to find a flow valve that fit my unit and he explained the concept and showed me how to pull open unit. WOW it worked perfect and THANK YOU OC!!

I like the lockers to pick up items you ordered online, exactly like Amazon does. I ordered special bulbs and I did not want them broken delivered to my front door.

Friendly and helpful staff at this location. Associates offered assistance even when not asked, which was nice. Checkout moved quickly even during COVID-19 times. The selection in this store is also strong and the store was well stocked. Recommended.

Home Depot is improving its customer service and Checkout process. More and more items are now...made in China. HD offers board cutting which is a big help if you have a small car.

Friendly, helpful staff. Not as crowded as the lincoln & mccormick location. And the parking lot doesnt have a million speed bumps. I prefer going here even though its farther away.

It was July 12 2019 @1014 p.m. I needed an air conditioner unit. The manager of the depart went above and beyond the call of duty. She was honest, polite, very eager to listen as to what my needs were. I was happy with the sales experience considering it was late at night. I apologize for not remembering her name, but hopefully the senior management @ Home Depot will give this review careful consideration. Thanks again my friend, you were not just a sales person!!!

Went there to rent a truck. Decided that I was uncomfortable driving a vehicle that did not have a rear view mirror. They let me cancel the reservation for only a $7 fee. Discussed with me better options for the future, such as renting a flat bed.

This was my first time buying tools on this location. I asked a guy his name is Noah for help. He helped me a lot and I purchased my tools in 5 minutes. Thank you!

If you want to get some help from anyone, please be prepared to wait indefinitely. With an appointment, you get to wait half an hour, and without an appointment, one hour plus. You might have to call them within the store to get somebody.I wanted to replace my patio door at my place. After making an appointment online, I went there and got to wait half an hour to talk to a human being. Then they placed an order for a measurement, which took a few days only to make an appointment. After the measurement, I receive an email, and I was told that somebody at Home Depot will be in touch. No calls whatsoever after days. I called them multiple times in order to make selections for my patio door. I was told no appointment necessary, and when I actually went there, there was no one and of course I had to spend an hour calling for an associate. One of the associates brought Kev, I recall that is the name of the manager, and he started complaining his workers leaving for the day early. Moreover he is certainly not helpful at all. Hal was decent helping me making choices for the patio door, even though at the end his effort become in vain.Hal told me that I will get a phone call to confirm my choices and get a quote. For a week, no calls or emails. A week later, I receive an email from SCOTT, NOT a phone call, that has a quote for a patio door. Of course the quote contains NONE of my choices that I had previously made, and the value was a lot more than what I had before. Surely I am not going to have Home Depot replace my patio door. I wanted to call SCOTT to yell at him for an absurd quote, but at this point I dont think that doing so will make me feel better.For sure I will not give any of my project to Home Depot, and even though I went there time to time to purchase parts and tools for my project, but I will refrain from going to Home Depot for those as well.

Worst appliance order experience ever!!!Placed an order online for a dishwasher1st a 1 week wait timethen, the morning of scheduled delivery I get a voice mail at 7:15 am that there was some damage and they will call me in 24 hours with a new expected delivery date.After calling multiple times I finally find out that it will take at least another week.No offer to offset for time and trouble or to upgraded and get me something sooner. Nothing.Then I cancel the order. No confirmation number that I cancelled, thy dont do that Im told and in 3-5 days Ill see a credit on my card.1. They can give confirmation numbers for purchases but not for cancellations.2. They can reach me and contact me many ways, loads of emails, texts, calls all the time when they want to sell me stuff3. They take money right away for the purchase, even when delivery is scheduled weeks out, but to cancel you have to wait for your money.Just a horrible experience that really shows that things like personalization and service only work when they want to sell you something. the moment there is a problem, communication is out and service goes out the window.

I don’t usually leave reviews for big box stores but this time I will. I was there Jan 19th looking for a large job box which I found But the issue was that the box already had damage on it and I didn’t want that one but like usual there was no one in the hardware department at all so I decided to come back in a week or two and this time when I showed up I didn’t see any of the boxes but I also saw the price went up and considering I was there last one to buy a good one and no one was there to help me I feel like the store manger should atlest match the price for the inconvenience of me having to show up in a later date due to no help. Welp sadly that store manger wasn’t helpful at all and I won’t be coming back to the Evanston HD store and making large tool purchases ever again. Price was 49.99 now it’s 64.99 also wasn’t on sale of any sort as you can see.

Aisles were clearly labeled. Customer service was at an all time high. Associates were helpful, both inside and outside of store. Prices were good. And what we were looking for was available. Also the promotion at the register was true. We were in and out in a matter of minutes.

They have most everything you need but come prepared because its not easy to find help. If you look for a product online it will tell you where it is in the store.

Good prices and a very wide selection of items. Cheaper than Amazon if you go to the store yourself. I use the website to fill my cart first. This helps locate the aisle and bay where you can find your item. You can also have your order ready for pick up if you prefer.

I often buy on-line then pu in store.
