I am most satisfied with quality and care of service provided. Details of what was needed were clearly explained. Invoice was super easy to read. Everyone with whom I engaged was courteous. And then they applied lots of those lovely coupons we receive in the mail. It was a wonderful experience and preferred to the car dealership. I will be back.

Exceptional Service at the Evanston location. I can’t say enough about this business. In a time when Customer Service seems to be going to the wayside, I was pleasantly surprised at the level of customer care and service offered at this location. Earnie helped me find a solution to my problem on the phone. Told me to come in early so they could make sure they could address it. As I was sitting in the clean comfortable waiting area, waiting for my repairs to be completed (only took about an hour), I was able to witness them go out of their way to find a solution for another customer. There is no pandering, or phony I want you to like me sucking up, It was honest to goodness excellent customer service. I will never go anywhere else.

HEART always goes above and beyond. They are detailed in explaining what your car repairs are, but they never try to oversell you on anything. They always deliver your car back to you in a timely fashion. When our car needed an emergency repair they were quick to fit us in. Weve been with HEART (formerly Duxler) for over 20 years and wouldnt dream of using anyone else!

I was very pleased with the service I received and pricing. From scheduling the appointment to the actual repairs everything was seamless. No one was pushy and tried to make get additional services. I am always scared of that when I go in to the mechanic. They were done with a brake job and new tires in the same amount of time it takes my dealer to do an oil change. They even gave me a ride home.

Above and beyond customer service! Danny, Kieesha and the entire team always do an awesome job on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I recently had a key fob issue while traveling to Minnesota. I called Danny and he helped me troubleshoot my issue on the phone. Thanks to him I was able to get back on the road in minutes. I am thankful I found this team and highly recommend them!

Please read all the way.........I hate to write bad reviews but feel I need to. Went in for an oil change on an Audi Q5 and I mentioned that my wiper blades squeaked badly. The counter man said no problem, he had them in stock. Went to pay for them and was charged either $108 or $118, I forget to be honest. I looked at him in total amazement and said, For wiper blades?. He lowered the price to still some absurd amount. The new ones still squeaked and worse yet, scratched, permanently the window. I am adding this 3 weeks later!!! The manager called me and corrected everything I mentioned including a new windshield, at no charge!! He stepped up and was a complete gentleman.

I have been going to Heart Auto for over 30 years. I still sort of think of it as Duxler but I am old school. Either way, it is the same good, honest, professional, and competent folks who make sure my family is safe in our cars. I trust them and they have never disappointed me.

Overall it’s a great shop with great service and a convenient location compared to similar ‘gas station garage’ like repair shops, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. All of their services cost more than going to the dealership. I would recommend taking your car to the dealership where you’ll be guaranteed genuine parts, mechanics specialized for your car, and (surprisingly) a better price. I went because the location is super convenient and sadly that’s probably why I’ll have to come back in the future.

Very professional, solid service. I was driving from Chicago to the top of Minnesota and was confident that Heart service would get us there safely.

I got a call that my car was ready but I was out, they were going to stay late so I could pick my car up but I opted to leave it there over night as we were going to be really late. So I picked my car up the next morning and found out the check engine light was due to a wiring harness and most mechanics dont like to do this. All of this was explained by Oscar. To top it off my Wifes check engine light was on and while we were there they checked the code, and reset set the light as it was just a gas cap issue.

Everyone, Kiesha, Danny, Craig were all amazing. The work and estimates were right on. I was offered a loaner and didnt even had to ask. My every need was met and they lived up to the ethics and morals printed and displayed on the walls. Impressed, you bet. Genuine honesty and kindness go a long way. You have my business.

Each time I bring my vehicle in for service, they present the necessary information, and help me weigh all my options to make an informed decision. I only got an oil change but it was a really good experience. They were able to get me in easily, didnt try and upsell me on any unnecessary things and have the best prices Ive come across in the area so far. Ill be going back here first for all car things in the future.

The team at Heart Auto is absolutely on top of things. Excellent service. Fast turnaround. Pick up and drop off and rides home as needed. So courteous. I have an old CRV with over 160k miles on it, so things are wearing out. But they always give me a prioritized list of the most important repairs to make so I can plan what to address now and what to take care of next. And Keeisha is completely organized and so professional. She makes it easy to make appointments and wrap up when finished. Great partners in older car care.

Having not serviced my vehicle in over a year (I know, Im the worst! But 2020...) I knew there would probably be some issues/tune-ups outside of the oil change I came in for. I appreciate that they showed me photos of the repairs that needed to be completed, and gave me suggestions on how to manage problems that I was not able to afford to fix at the time. They were sincere, kind, and reasonably priced. Ill definitely use them for all future service/repairs!

As a graduate student new to the Evanston area, the HEART Staff always made sure I was taken care of and that my car was in the best shape possible being so far away from home. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable and were always willing to go through the recommendations and explain why they were made. Having left Evanston, HEART and their stellar customer service is something I truly miss!

BE AWARE OF SCAMThis is not my usual auto shop. I received a coupon for oil change in mail and the shop I usually go to is near my workplace, due to WFH, I decided to try HEART out.I dropped off my car at the appointment time in a Friday afternoon and went to a nearby cafe to wait. Shortly after, I received a call from the shop claiming that all my break pads are worn down, if I dont change them RIGHT NOW, the calipers are in danger and it would be a much bigger bill down the road.They quoted me $1,200+ for changing the break pads and rotors, as well as a couple of jobs they didnt care to explain clearly (e.g., changing some fluid), then they kindly agreed to apply a $100 coupon for this job. At the end of this call, they also tried to rush me to a decision by saying if I decide now, they will be able to finish everything just before the shop closes.Since I never heard/noticed anything abnormal with my breaks and I didnt have much information about the cost of such job by industry standard, I felt very suspicious and told them not to do anything but complete the oil change. I paid the coupon price and left.A few days later, I went to my usual repair shop because I want to be sure my car is still safe to drive. The mechanic said my pads still have 8,000 - 13,000 miles to go and quoted me $650 for pads, rotors, and labor when I need them changed. Note that he didnt even quote me the cheapest parts on the market, he said those would be cheaper but will wear off quickly.If you think one other shop cannot represent the market, do a simple google search (of how much to change brake pads and rotors), you will find such job usually costs $500 averagely (without changing calipers).I now question the integrity of this shop severely. Aside from the coupon, I went in because of the nice reviews on Google. I optimistically hope that my experience is an one-off incident, but I feel it is so important to share so others can avoid any future scam for themselves.

As always, the service was great. The staff is exceptional and work is done in a timely manner. I feel the prices are fair and I completely trust this company. Ive been taking my cars here for about 20 years. There is no better auto repair shop in Chicago. The staff is always friendly and the facility is always clean. I’ve been going to HEART (under a different name a couple of years ago) for a long time. They take really good care of my car. I’m sure they will maximize its life. I also trusted them to check out a used car I was interested in. I liked that they provided outdoor seating when I was last there. I’m high risk from Covid, so this was especially meaningful.

I had an oil change for an incredible price under 25.00. After driving the car I noticed a sound that came up the next day. Not knowing if it was something erroneous, I went back in to have them check it. The sound had nothing to do with the oil change but Danny and his team fixed it for free. It was a loose shield. I cant believe how nice they all are there. I strongly recommend this if you are a local Evanstonian. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I’ve been using Heart since I moved to Evanston a couple years ago at my husband’s recommendation. Craig is fantastic; very responsive and up front, no surprises when paying! I’ve always had same day service with no issues. The crew there is always working hard & are very thorough!We bring both our cars there and soon will have a teen driver joining the club 😳COVID related: everyone had masks on, kept a good distance. I felt completely safe & comfortable. I’m sniffling/sneezing today, so I paid online and they’re leaving the keys in the car to avoid contact with anyone (awesome-good job taking care of your employees AND customers!) They do offer a pick up/drop off service but I’m close enough to walk/short Uber.Highly recommended!!

Ive only put on about 3K miles since I had my brakes completely (Front & Rear, Pads, Rotors and Fluid) serviced here, and Im very disappointed to say that they are already squeaking.

I am disheartened to give a bad review to a local business but they tried to sell me over $1200 worth of unnecessary work. After I received their estimate, I went back to the dealer (Martin Nissan in Skokie) from whom I bought my used vehicle and showed them what Heart said was wrong with my car. The people at Martin (Dealership manager, assistant manager and shop manager)said bring it in immediately. I did and they went over their pre-sale checklist and even brought me under the car to show me that the control arms ($1100 repair at Heart)are perfectly fine and it had a cabin filter replacement (unnecessarily recommended by Heart) prior to selling me the car. Never thought I would recommend a dealership but Martin Nissan was very helpful after my near mistake with Heart.

I have been going to HEART Auto in Evanston for a few years. They are always so kind and explain all the services and let me know what is essential to deal with immediately vs. what is less urgent. They are also using a contactless pay system currently that has all the details on your service and pictures of the issues.

Always get good information about what our car needs and the work is done quickly and correctly. Good communication. Very reliable.

New hires have to work 50 hour work weeks for the first 90 days, and because its a salery pay system, theres no overtime. It wasnt the job for me.

I was very satisfied with the oil pan replacement work performed by Heart in Evanston on March 23 and with being able to drop off and pick up my car w/o any human contact (not that I dont enjoy seeing the Heart staff in normal times). I also appreciated the Heart staff determining that I did not have a problem with the perceived startup hesitation when I start the car in the morning. Heart staff could have said I needed something done but they were honest about the situation. Thanks for the exceptional service.

Our elderly Toyota had a slow leak in one tire and needed both wipers replaced. Because we hadnt been driving it, it had gotten so flat we were afraid to drive it directly to Heart. They came, used a portable pump to inflate the tire to make it drivable, and took it back to Heart. Within a day we had an estimate. They were able to fix the issue with the tire and replace both wipers for $60 total. And then they returned it to us so we didnt need to pick it up. They also ran a diagnostic on the car to let us know that the radiator was leaking, but there was zero pressure to make that repair. They were great to work with all around!

Job well done besides the $400 of car maintenance i was told “needed” to be done while i was getting a routine oil change.

Best car repair experience I’ve ever had! Loved the detailed report that was sent via text. The report outlined the recommended services, reviewed which parts of the car the mechanic had inspected, including pictures of the parts that were reviewed. The report helped me understand what was done to the vehicle and why the changes were being recommended. It really made me feel empowered to make the right decisions on which services to pursue now and which items I should be aware of because they may need to be serviced soon. I would highly recommend HEART auto care to anyone who is looking for a good, honest car repair facility!

These folks have taken care of me since my first car in 2012. I only trust Craig and this awesome team! Kieesha is so friendly and efficient. Ernie always breaks down maintenance needs and priorities in a succinct understandable way. I NEVER feel talked down to or overexplained - hard to find as a femme car-owner. These guys are my go-to!

I was so appreciative of the service provided by the Heart Auto Care staff at two locations: Wilmette and Evanston. I am a teacher and tutor in the north suburbs, and my work requires me to log many miles in my car in the area. During the school day, my tire became flat (I believe it was a progressive slow leak). I had many appointments after school, and I dont live in the area. I saw Heart Auto Care in Wilmette, and went in. They diagnosed the problem quickly, but they had a long line of vehicles to service and would not be able to repair my tire for some time (which I did not have). The helpful and kind Wilmette staff called the Evanston shop, described the situation, and the Evanston staff said they could help me. The Wilmette folks overfilled my tire just enough so that I could drive safely to Evanston, and that solution worked perfectly. The Evanston service people sent me on my way with my car in excellent condition at a very reasonable cost and in a very short amount of time. The whole process from Wilmette to Evanston was seamless and free of stress. I cannot over-emphasize how considerate every person was, how attentive they were to my situation, and how well the whole experience worked out for me. I highly recommend Heart Certified Auto Care to anyone whose vehicle requires service, and I will definitely visit them again when the need arises.

Self-quarantining, waiting for hip replacement surgery and with a dead battery in my car, she arranged for two staff to pick up my car, take it to HEART and have it repaired and returned to me - all in the same day. Kind of mind-blowing to find a progressively-minded auto repair shop! The service backed up their forward-thinking signage and ethos. The estimate was thorough and explained in clear terms - and the final price came out significantly under what I was quoted. Plus, I was in and out in a short while. Based on my first visit, I highly recommend it here.

I really liked this place when I had brought my car in for new tires a few months ago. I thought it was clean, and well established, and I thought it was a place worth my trust from then on. I brought my car in for a scheduled oil change about a month ago, commenting that day on how well my car was driving for an old car. They had my car on the rack for almost an hour, when a bigger gentleman came out and talked to me and told me I had a 500$ repair to make on the cars power-steering. I took what he said at face value because I thought that maybe it was something that had flown under my radar. Mind you, I had a lot work done on my car the entire year before and I did find it odd that something like that could have been missed. Then the gentleman said that a pothole could have done that to my car. This was also suspicious because I have an SUV with brand new season tires and an impact a pothole could make to cause that kind of damage is highly unlikely, especially because I take great care driving it because it is an old car. I didnt think any more of it though until I pulled my car out of their lot. That was when I could definitely tell something was wrong, and it was absolutely driving differently than when I had pulled it in... I know that there is no way to be sure what happened and I can admit that there is a chance that I am wrong about the situation but I am almost sure that someone has tampered with my car. I have to say something because it can be devastating news when you are a working and/or struggling young adult and something like this happens. I wont even say dont go to Heart Auto in Evanston, but I will say that if you do, be weary.

The auto center is very good about addressing issues with your vehicle. The staff is always friendly and positive. I have even called them from out of state for a second opinion since they routinely work on my vehicles. We can usually get our vehicle back the same day. We are please with the service and dependability.

I have been taking my care to Heart since before they were Heart (back when they were Duxlers). They have always done a good job for a fair price. They are honest and they are really into preventative care, fixin a small problem before it becomes big and keeping the customer informed about upcoming problems.I went there, last oil change, and they informed me that my back shocks were staring to go bad. This gave me time to get some money together so that I could have them changed during my next oil change. They let you know about what is coming up so you can plan.I totally endorse them.

I drove 25 miles to get an oil change for my vehicle because I am a furloughed Government employee. Heart Certified offered a free oil change because I was furloughed. I cant tell you how grateful I was not to mention I was treated with tremendous professionalism and courtesy.I feel obligated to pay them back for the service and I would recommend Heart Certified to anyone that needs car service. The technicians were courteous and the person at front desk was not only friendly but cute.I will come back again as a paying customer!
