Greate resource for gaming and technical environments. Service and customer relations are important in our current economic models. I just recently moved here and started rebuilding my gaming station. I couldnt have done that without the help of Next Level Gaming StoreThank you guys
Bought some games online and had them shipped to me. Part of the order status had its shipping status changed so when the order was shipped to me, it was missing games. There was 0 explanation on what happened. I was still charged for the entire amount including the missing games, and when I pressed the company via email to refund me for the games that were not delivered, they haven’t responded.I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say maybe they missed the email, but I’ve sent a second email and that hasn’t been responded too either.Very frustrating that I have to seemingly jump through all these hoops to get money back on the Products that were never sent instead of them doing that proactively. The games in question that I ordered that didn’t arrive are still available online, so I don’t know what’s going on
This place is awesome and is staying afloat while the rest of the city is falling apart. I went in there to return a faulty console and the two guys that were there were very cool and efficient about returning my money. They quickly returned it and spent the next ten minutes chatting with me about different consoles and games. They normally have a pretty good stock. Organized and clean. Everything you could want of a game store
This is my favorite place to go look for retro games. Older system stock hasnt been super great over the pandemic, but the prices are fair and its local for those of us in the Everett area. Always friendly! I come here at least once a month.
Great store that has a ton of old and some newer video games. The people are nice and really try to help you find what you are looking for. The pricing is on par with what you would expect to pay for old video games. Some expensive, some less expensive. Very cool displays when you walk in. I recommend checking them out.
Not as I was told. Felt that the way he was doing business wasnt of fair market value.
Im visiting the area and my friend said I absolutely had to visit this place. I just showed up with a lot of money to spend and the place wasnt open. Waited here about 20 minutes to see if maybe they were running late, but they never showed. Too bad. I guess Ill be heading to Another Castle in Lynwood.
It’s a decent place, As a little kid I loved older games more than the new releases, I loved going in and playing video games with my friends and brothers, The only hiccups I had at the shop was a couple employees, I was buying a game that was rated m for mature which as a kid I didn’t know I would have to be 18 to purchase it, As I asked if I could bring my brother back to buy it after being rejected for the purchase I was told to leave and not come back, The other employee I had bought a mortal kombat game and the disk was scratched, Wouldn’t go pass the loading screen, When I told the employee he said he would test it, He put it in the console and went only to the games loading screen and said it was fine, I then informed him about how it wouldn’t go pass the loading screen he then realized his mistake, Later on he told me I couldn’t refund without a adult (even though they sold me it as a minor) other than those I loved the place, Loved the fact they were my go to for older games as a kid, I do recommend it. The only thing I recommend for this store is to keep a more closed circle of employees cause some of them just don’t seem to care about the shoppers which is a little upsetting, But others seem to love it.
This place is great of you are looking for games and controllers for old systems. Love it!
I drove a 40 minute round trip to get here and it was closed, even though it said it was open, and it was a Saturday! Dont come unless you know its open!
This is my go to store for retro video games. I frequent this place whenever Im in town. I normally despise local video games stores in Washington because most either overprice the items, price loose games as if they were complete in box, OR pull out there phones and check eBay prices in your face. This place is decent with fair prices and the staff member is always willing to negotiate a good deal. Nothing but good things to say about the establishment. Ive never had buyers remorse when leaving. Sometimes its a little dark inside during the day, my wife once said that she felt like she had walked into a dungeon lol But I told her not to worry, its just a video game store and shes safe with me.
Cool store. Alot of classic games. Prices seemed reasonable. Would recommend
Local joint with good retro game selection and small-town-feel customer service
Lots of cool stuff here. If youre looking for good prices and knowledgeable staff, this is your place.
Alright selection of retro to somewhat modern games, and its all organized. I got a few retro games and a sealed Wii game from them, and its all reasonably priced. They have accessories first and third party. The staff are very helpful, and they host small Smash bros tournaments, pre covid, that is.
Lots of the OG games. They are great but dont have any of the newer models unless someone trades it in or sells it
Loved the atmosphere and I live that they do local tournaments
Ive been coming here since 5 years ago. Ive watched the owners switch over and even better than it was before! Ive been buying games here for so long now and its such warming experience. All the employees are welcoming and very pleasant. It does not feel like any other game store.. It feels better. It feels like this is how a game store should be.I highly advise checking it out!
Great shop, the prices are a little higher than book but there is plenty to see. A good mix of old and new. They dont carry every console but they do have some less mainstream titles. One of my bookmarked favorites.
Great place and Matt is vary helpful. He knows his stuff. if youre looking for a new place to buy games and just feel at home man go here. Also if you just want to relax and play a game you can do that to. So go and enjoy your self and tell Matt Brad said hi
Visited next level games a month or so back and will definitely be stopping in next time I’m up near Seattle. Prices were very fair. Building is a bit run down, due to age, but they have everything neatly displayed and easy to see. The couches in the middle of the store are a little awkward, but it’s not really a bad thing. The girl working was very helpful and friendly.Got quite a few games under pricecharting value, and found 1 of the cib N64 games i still needed for my set (only 12 away now thanks to next level!)
Small inventory and staff was nice though.
This is the second time this month I have arrived during business hours to find this store closed. Please update hours accordingly online.
The staff are always help with questions I have.
Small homey place. Knowledgeable and super nice staff. There is a bald talkative guy that used to work there and may still work there. Hes awesome.
Perfect place to get new and old gaming systems..plus a great place to chill or have birthday party..my sons birthday was there and him and his friends had a blast with virtual reality
I love going here there is tunes to look at in the store pricese are good i love that they have Super Smash Brothers tournaments every Friday. The staff is super friendly I love to go over and hang our and talk about video games
They have the best vintage games! And they offer alcohol and virtual Reality!
I ordered an N64 game though the website while they were closed for the virus and got a notification that it was shipped within 15 minutes, arrived 2 days later as described. Cant beat that. Shipping price was very cheap too, probably less than the cost for me to drive from edmonds had they been open.
Great place, great competition in their tournaments and a very good and excellent game selections and great prices! I would definitely come back to this place! 😁
They have pretty cool games and knick knacks here and there but it always seems too darkly lit there, the nerds are somewhat friendly but ultimately antisocial. Youre better off selling games at a pawn shop then this place because youre not gonna get a whole lot of bang from your massive buck, speaking of which theres a 50/50 chance some of the games you pick up may be scratched and/or glitchy
Good selection of retro games and game systems. They buy used games as well, and their pricing is fair.
Excellent store to find retro games. They have plenty of inventory even for extinct consoles like Ataris. Most of the stuff is in excellent condition.
Great selection of games and every Friday they have a Smash tournament. They also have VR gear that you can play for $20 for an hour i believe
They dont test used games for scratches before selling them. I just bought a game and had to return it about a month ago. I beat the new game that i traded it for and I went back in and bought three more games and two of the three are scratched. Thats cool that they will probably replace it, but why should I have to waste my time running back and fourth for their lack of effort? After this return I think we are done doing business after years of trading and buying games.
Hello I have a question is this a place where you play games or Can you buy A gaming pc here?
Best place around to trade/buy/sell, very honest and reliable. Its a way cooler alternative to gamestop! Since the first time I did business with Next Level, Ive yet to go somewhere else. Awesome, local great crew!
If you enjoy playing games with other like minded individuals in a calm and relaxing environment Go to next level games for their knowlage is diverse and up-to-date.
Huge selection of retro games, VR rental is amazing, staff was very helpful in how to play and pricing is amazing. The atmosphere is welcoming to all ages and makes me very happy to have somewhere to game and hang out.
Friendly staff good prices
Games and system used especially used are priced two times more expensive than in any other store, super small selection also purchased a faulty 500 gb Xbox one s for 300$ that only worked 1 month then stopped loading games only 14 day warranty. Store only worth a visit if have an outdated system from past generations
This shop has a pretty wide variety of games and systems for the retro ir modern collector. They also have a VR Arcade (is that what its called?) Where up to two people can play Mini Golf or Beat Saber (possibly other games too). I believe they sold beverages as well.
Always pleasant, staff are helpful and informed. Stickers on games is far from preferred, but seems to be the standard in all retro games shops.
These guys are your guys for old systems and accessories. Visit them and hang out. Try their vr set up.
This is the best game store to go to. The manager Damian knows so much about all the games so if you dont actually have a game in mind youre sure to find a game you didnt know you needed!
Girl working here is awesome! Great service.
This is great place to go and get video games, accessories and video game consoles. Excellent deals and customer service. Ask for Matt.
The best used video games store in Everett! If you have a console from any generation, they have the cords, controllers, and parts for it. Also has VR spaces, pay by the half hour - Fallout 4 VR, Beat Saber, and more!
Small store but very helpful. They have all the old systems!
I like what theyve done the remodel. The floor plan is more open now, and the VR and tournaments are fantastic
Very helpful people that will always make sure your getting what your looking for and usually at an amazing deal
Its like GameStop
Fun place to hang out and good deals on video games
Great customer service and prices definitely will be going back!!!
I bought a couple games that didnt work. But a cool store and very nice selection of stuff.
Soo many games and consoles! Retro stuff all the way to new stuff like VR it was a great time!
This place is more Hardcore than 1984! Buy local. Dont go to Game Stop. This place keeps my Sega Genesis and NES parts on hand. #legendconsol
Staff was great and very helpful gave me a very fair in store credit for my trade in cant wait to go back
EDIT: 1/20/2019We returned to this game store 11months later to see how things have changed (plus were really in the mood for a good Coop VR game).Needless to say the service today was worth 5 stars. The guy working today was very charismatic and helpful, instantly acknowledging us when we walked in the store and getting to us quickly when we expressed interest in the VR systems. I believe his name was Damien. We were able to play two VR multiplayer games which he helped us select and he offered support during our time when we needed to connect to the friends game.Personally the store came off as more clean and streamlined. I would definitely return in the future.Only suggestion for future improvement would be to have a binder with available games since not all the multiplayer games show under the multiplayer filter (both the games Damien suggested were not shown originally) and it would cut down on wasted VR time as people try to figure out what to play.Would definitely recommend this to friends now.------------------------------Original review:Customer service experience:I hate giving low stars to local businesses but boy did our experience stink. My partner and I came in on a Thursday night ~4-5pm to try out the VR systems. We were promptly ignored for 15minutes by the staff member there as he tried to work on an N64 that two other customers were attempting to play. The staff member did say hello during that time period and we said we wanted to play the VR system and was told it was 20$/hr but then he went back to working on the N64. Eventually he gave up and the customers played an Xbox 360/one (cant remember exactly system) game instead.VR experience: If your system cannot perform for an hour without constantly crashing you probably shouldnt be offering it. Multiple games froze or went full on black screen.Suggestion: Have a list of available VR games and summaries (A lot of VR shops that I have previously been to offer these and I have found them to be very helpful so a customer doesnt waste 5-10 minutes going through them while the timer is on).Have more seating. My partner and I traded out at the 30 minute mark since only one Vive headset was available. There was no seating other then the couch that the other customers were using available so we hand to stand for the rest of the time.Stock experience:Holy retro game selection Batman! Probably the best retro game selection for multiple systems Ive seen in awhile. The downside is the price...the majority of game systems I am familiar with (N64, GameCube, PS1) had extremely overpriced games vs quality.Overall: I was initially excited to know that there was a VR rental place in Everett so I didnt have to drive to Federal Way for a fun date night but as of right now I would not recommend this shop. Maybe in the future things will get better.
A wide variety of games and consoles from every generation. Offers play sessions, parties and tournaments. Better place to trade in games than game stop in my opinion.
I was looked at like I was ganna steel something when I walked into the store...they didnt seem like they wanted to help me more or less get me out of the store as quick as possible. They have less games I have at my house for the ps4 mostly copies of the triple a titles and the store is all jumbled up. I ended up being behind the counter without knowing it because the the layout in next level is like a big circle with two check out stands in the middle....very cluttered but still manages too have nothing in the store...amazing....o and they gave me a gift card for my used game and when I came back the next day to ise it they said there wasnt any money on it so theres that.....
Great place to buy used video games.
They must not test their games before selling them because they sold me a game cube version of TLoZ Twilight Princess that did not work, and they are dumb enough to put bar code stickers directly on to the disks that leaves a sticky residue on the disk that is extremely difficult to get off. Very disappointed that they sold me a broken game.
My husband and I went in to trade in our Xbox one for a new ps4. First good experience, they gave us way more trade in value for the Xbox than we predicted. Once we got finished with the trade in, we were hoping to get the codww2 edition ps4. They informed us that they would not be able to get one as there were limited supplies and they already sold the few they got. We decided to go ahead and get a regular ps4 anyways. The next morning, they called us to inform us that not only was our ps4 ready, but they also managed to get their hands on a ww2 edition for us.Best customer service ever and a really awesome store to go in! Make this a stop on your list whether youre going to buy or not.
Dont shop here! My first experiences with the store went really well. I bought games and traded in my entire collection of super nes games (50 plus titles), with good service and an overall good experience. My last couple experiences have been horrible. The ever shifting employees that work there dont seem to know the policys of the store and I find I get different answers depending on the random employee I ended up coming across. My most recent transaction was the final straw. I went in to buy a game and explicitly asked the employee about the stores return policy. His answer was the stipulation on whether or not I would purchase the game. He claimed that there was a 2 day return policy for full money back and I would have nearly a month to exchange if the game happened to be defective. On THAT information I decided to purchase the game for a little over 40 dollars. That night I found that I did not receive acceptance from my wife in the purchase and told her that I would just return the game the next day. Again, on the word of the employee I had made the purchase from. In trying to return the game the following day (it hadnt even been removed from the case), I encountered another new face. This gentleman explained to me that I could not return a used game. That the only return available were for if the game was defective. In which case I could only exchange it for the same title. I explained what I had been told and that it was the single reason I purchased the game in the first place. He showed little empathy and continued to repeat himself, claiming there were nothing he could do. He said I could speak to the owner and that would be the only person that could rectify my situation. I do plan on talking to the owner but do not expect much given some of my previous experiences at this location. I basically feel like my money was stolen through false information. Needless to say, after speaking with the owner in the next couple of days I do not plan on returning to this location.. I like to support smaller game location rather than the larger retailers such as GameStop, even if the prices are a little more inflated. However, given this circumstance, I would rather drive 15 to 20 minutes out just to get accurate information and good customer service. I do not recommend this store to anyone, and pray that no one else has to go through the frustration that I just experienced...
The clerks who work at the store are friendly and helpful.
Awesome place. Has spots where u can play games
I love this place. The staff are always nice and helpful .
Friendly place. Knowledgeable and helpful.
Legit have everything old school that we grew up with from the 80s and up. Got an original NES system with a few games to reclaim my collection.
An excellent selection of new and retro games.
Prices are decent the game selection is worth the visit
If I wanted to hear about conversations on the phone about fortnite when calling about a game I would just watch trash baby elite Ali a on YouTube
Amazing store for old video games
Cool place but their game selection is a bit stagnant.
Games to play, 4 dollars an hour. Not that many games. No Xbox one. One ps4.
Not a really good place to go I went there and I bought a game for $12 and I went there and pain in my console and it didnt even work and then I look on the back and is full of scratches and they didnt even give me a damn receipt and Im willing to be able to take it back and get my money back not very good place for buying video games
Dirty, hot, disorganized, man that was helping seemed irritated when we asked for help and I would never bring my kids back.
Prices seemed fair, they have a VR rental setup which is rad
Good place for b days
Huge selection retro to new, they even have VR!
They always seem to have what I am looking for. Staff is pretty friendly as well.
