I went there couple months ago. However, I feel I have an obligation to give my feedback because I hope she will change her attitude. I wanted to buy some bacon. It was wrapped with paper. I asked the shopkeeper to unwrapped it. She looked at me and said It is bacon.. I could tell she was annoyed by me asking her to do that. I told her I wanted to see the fat layer. I bought the bacon. it was delicious. This place always has good stuffs. This review is purely for her attitude.

Why two stars? I really wanted to love this place. I have purchased sausages here and they are amazing. Sadly I was very disappointed in the restaurant menu.I had the Beef and Blue and Truffle fries. My first issue is value for money. $6 for truffle fries - perhaps the smallest order of fries I have ever had anywhere. They were great but come on, potatoes are not exactly a high food cost. I expected a more substantial portion for $6.The sandwich on the other hand left a lot to be desired on flavor and moisture. I love blue cheese, I guess whipping it means you can skimp. I could not even taste it. Calabrian aioli was spread so thin, I could not taste it either. The beef was excellent and everything tasted fresh but overall the sandwich was just so dry. After the local gourmet sandwich shop closed. NOVA is a sandwich desert. Given their reputation and pricing I expected a lot more.

I’ve been ordering their burgers and sandwiches wayyyy too much under the lockdown. I have to say their original burger has to be one of the best classic burgers I have tried. The quality of the beef is superb!! The only complaint I have with the burger is that I wish it was bigger!! I tried their veggie sandwich and it was so flavorful. The veggie patty did fall apart easily though. The pork shoulder sandwich was pretty good I just wished it was a little juicier. The fries are very good and flavorful. Red apron is now my go to burger place and everyone who I make try their burgers is in love with the original one. RED APRON I LOVE YOU!!! I can’t wait to try the other menu items!

I love the beef and blue, but the key to a delicious beef and blue is to ask for the sauce on the side, then apply it yourself. Delicious. The fries are amazing, the signature burger is delicious, the grilled cheese is pretty good, and the vegetarian burger is so excellent. Its weird that a butcher could be so good at vegetarian food but Im not complaining. My new favorite is the meatball sub. I get marinara instead of salsa but both varieties are delicious. This joint is overpriced and the food can be inconsistent, but when its on its REALLY on.

I just picked up a lot of beef and pork because I can’t get groceries delivered right now and do want to go to a busy grocery store. I have eaten there but have never purchased their meat. I pre-ordered so all I had to do was go on and pick it up. Easy! The staff is always friendly and helpful and the meat is so much better than what I would purchased at a grocery.

Red Apron has my favorite meatball sandwich. Its like crack in a roll. Ive been going here since shortly after its opened and a few months in they started offering soft serve as well with flavors constantly changing. When they have it you definitely have to try the fruity pebbles cereal milk flavor (ask for extra fruity pebbles). Their burger is delicious as well and of course the beef fat rosemary, garlic fries. SO GOOD.

Amazing selection of meats. Their sausages, cheeses, and condiments are all great; you cant go wrong. On the culinary side, the wild boar pate is excellent on a flax and millet cracker. Yes, they are on the pricey side but the quality of meats are incomparable. Nothing like a great cut of grass-fed, fresh, organic strip steak from a reliable, clean, well-staffed butcher shop.

Its a cool place. Okay food. Over priced. Very poor service. Poor kitchen hygiene. I had a few questions about the menu and the cashier had zero patience for a new customer. We viewed the chef in the kitchen lick his fingers and continue making our food. Also no gloves in use while making sandwiches (Im guessing to add flavor). Im giving this two stars instead of one because I didnt die at least.

Ive been shopping here for years but its my favorite local butcher. Their prices for their quality of meats is fantastic! Their standard is grass fed beef and dry-aged! Their deli meats are out of this world, and homemade!

EDIT: For those complaining about price and comparing it to places like subway, Safeway, and other cheap places...pretty sure you should be eating at those places instead since you dont care to pay for quality meats and ingredients 🤦 end rant.Love this place. Tried most of their menu but keep going back for the burger and fries. The staff is always very friendly and accommodating. We normally take our food to go so we cant say much for the sit down portion of the restaurant. It does have a nice atmosphere but we have a young baby who wont sit still for very long. They have on occasion made my burger rarer than I ordered, but if theres any place that its okay to eat bloody meat, this would be it! If you like sloppy joes, try taking some of theirs home. Also, do yourself a favor and try their bacon, cut how ever thin or thick you want. It tastes like candy. Hot dogs and cut meats are good as well. As a cherry on top, you can go next door to Moms organic market while you wait for your food :D We make the trip from Leesburg to mosaic at least once a month for this treat.

I have been twice for lunch. My first visit I had the pork-stramil sandwich which was excellent. The amount of meat is a little light, but the flavor is excellent and the bread is perfect. My second visit I had the burger, which was about the right size. The flavor was excellent and the bun was just right. My only issue is the meat had several pieces of bone/grissel in it which was surprising since the meat is ground there and Id hope theyd have a bit more control over this. Other than that, it was a great burger.

Butcher and charcuterie that also serves up some sandwiches and sells other gourmet goodies as well. The menu at this location is a bit different from the one in union market. I tried the fries which were pretty good they were fried in beef fat and seasoned with a garlic rosemary salt. The muffaletta was also pretty good as well.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! I usually like to do positive reviews that help businesses that deserve it but this place is a ripoff. I have been here twice as I get my haircut next door and both times I was seriously underwhelmed. I paid for a $12+ Turkey sandwich and what I got was the equivalent of a $4 premade sandwich from Safeway. I dont mind spending a lot for a sandwich if its worth it.Sandwich was extremely dry and tasteless- if you are going to have a sandwich where you use super thick Italian sub roll then use fresh bread because mine was stale. I literally could not identify the artichoke spread that was on there. 80% stale bread, 10% turkey, and 10% arugula.Red Apron owner - order the turkey sandwich under cover after you read this and then tell me if you would 1 - actually enjoy it and 2 - think its worth $12+. [end disgruntled review]

I ordered a burger and fries and it came to $13.78. The Burger was $10.00 The patty was 1/4 thick which is the size of a single patty at Wendys. The flavor was good but not worth $10.00. I will not pay y h as t much for a small burger again.

My boyfriend tried this place out and for some reason he really couldnt stop begging me to come here with him. I ordered the bacon burger well done and he had some super huge man burger which I thought looked delicious.I took a bite off my burger only to find out that the bacon wasnt as I ordered, but was rare and juicy. I almost puked and I had to save half the burger for my boyfriend to eat at home. It broke my heart that he was so disappointed. I wanted to like this place but I just hate eating bloody juicy meat and they kind of screwed it up for me.I did however like that other than allowing you to order all sorts of meat for your own recipes, along with done up burgers and meals while you wait for them to prepare your take home slabs of steak.

My go-to burgerjoint these days... I was a diehard Rays Hellburger eater until I had the original burger here at Red Apron. Combine one of the best burgers in the area with beef fat french fries and a great selection of beer? What more does someone need to come here and eat their food?!This is also a butcher location, but none of the butchery is done on-premise... its all done in DC and shipped here so you cant really get custom cuts that arent already in the case. That isnt to say the choices lack, they just might not have what you want that day.

Always wanted to try this place and today I got the chance. I came here without much expectations as I was pretty hungry for food. I got the porkstrami sandwich and my god it was the best sandwich Ive had (Yes, even tops the sandwich from Cenote)! Everything from the bread to the meat was made fresh, so you know youre in for a treat. The bread itself was soft and just the right crisp on the outside. The porkstrami? Its like when you take a bite of something that came right out of the kitchen, the subtle aroma, the tender texture of the meat gave the sandwich a rich flavor. I give this sandwich a power level 9999.9. COUGH!P.s. They also house a large unique set of beers for you folks. Definitely coming back for more.

Dear male kitchen worker(Hector?),You need a lesson in cooking GOURMET foods. These sandwiches go for ten buck a pop. I dont think you make that in an hour so have some respect for the ingredients, if nothing else. When I order a high-end(ish) burger the last thing you/I want to see is some hump press all the juices out of the quality patty. This may fly at Wendys but it should not at any establishment or any place that uses quality meat. If you dont have product knowlege, dont front like you do($)... I blame the training not you. I DO blame you for your macho man ego that is totally unfounded and simply not backed up by the lack of quality you assemble day in & day out. You may have mad skills at the HO-JO or IHOP on RT 1 but you are simply a bad fit for the Red Apron.I have been to the Union Market & Penn Quarter locations and they are awesome and look forward to getting quality products in the future. The back bar at the Penn Quarter location is really a nice addition to the concept. The truly scary thing is THE attitude that is dispensed with every order. It should be placed on the menu as one of the many additional toppings. If you have no customer service abilities in English that must breed some inner angst... sorry, I still speak English and have yet to convert.BURGER=LOST IN TRANSLATION...
