My kids loved the cookies from this shop. We tried it for the first time and my daughter is already a fan for those yummy cookies. Great shout outs to the employees who work there, they were nice and patience enough to explain the varieties and deals. Definitely will visit sooner again.

This store is actually in Fair Oaks Mall in Fairfax, VA. My whole family loves the Cookie Cakes at the Great American Cookie. They offer the best Cookies and Cookie Cakes hands down. The decorators also do a pretty nice job of wowing you with the art that they put on a cake with icing. The seem to strive to help make your occasion special and in times when we didnt put in an advance order, they did what they could to fit us in where possible. The service that Id seen the owner give on two different occasions is better than inspiring. One time a lady said to him, When I get some money, Im going to come back get some of those cookies. The Owner as her,, What cookies would she buy if she had the money? The lady told him what shed like to buy. The owner bagged up 5 0r 6 cookies for the lady and told her that she wont have to wait until she gets money, because he gave them to her for free. Another time I went to pick up a cake of my own and the owner had on a shirt and tie and was trying to leave the mall. On the way out of mall in a hurry to head to an event, because a family wanted to decorate their grandpas 80 birthday cake, without hesitation, he turned around and did the cake and gave them an amazing cake that he decorated even though there was other cake designers there. Inspiring!!

The person who creates customized cookie cakes at this store in the Fair Oaks Mall (Fairfax, VA) is truly an artist. She is someone who is dedicated to realizing the customers vision. The cake is so beautiful, it seems almost a shame to eat it! It is worth a trip to this store if you want a memorable classic cookie cake for a special occasion.

Went to due my 10,000 steps at Fair Oaks Mall this am. Im a Type 1 diabetic on an insulin pump, and my blood sugars were high when I drove to the Mall. Somewhere during the 90 minute walk, my blood glucose started to plummet. Thank goodness the Great American Cookie booth, although not open for business, was staffed. I interrupted the employee and told her my plight. She gave me 2 yummy chocolate chip cookies, when I went to pay she said, no its on me. Could not thank her enough! Yes, lesson learned! I will always bring sugar pills with me! Today 7/20 I returned to walk, this time during normal shopping hours. the nice woman, (sorry I cant read her entire name) Ilfat Abbasi was there. I thanked her again and bought some cookies to show my appreciation again!

Hands down, the best and freshest cookies!! The The Staff is friendly and they are quick to help even though they are very busy on the weekends. The Cookie Cakes designers are remarkable with what they can do with icing.

I come here often and while the cookies are great, the younger staff are often visibly on their phones, give short answers to customers, and do not seem happy to be there. while they have never been rude to me, they do not look happy when a customer comes up. often i will be left waiting for a bit because the employee is visibly hiding in the back and on their phone while not paying attention (i can see the phone). one girl prioritized sending a text on her phone instead of helping the customers in line. this is a common occurrence. they are lucky i tipped them anyways. i will give some stars because there are a couple extremely nice employees (usually the adults) and it’s a pleasure talking to them. however something needs to be done about the younger employees phone usage and manners.

Where do I begin. Lets start with the fact that if I could rate this place less than one star I would. This was my first time at the great american cookie and it will most certainly be my last.I placed an online order on Tuesday morning at 9am and asked for it to be picked up on Thursday at 4:30pm. Which gave them more than enough time to make a cookie cake.When I arrived to the location on Thursday the employee had informed me that there was no pick up orders for the day. I showed her my email confirmation and she informed me that they do not use their online ordering system. My immediate response was then you shouldnt have it as an option.The employees informed me that they would bake me my order right then and that it would take 45 minutes. I hung around the mall killing time and when i went back an hour later it was not ready. They had informed me that something had happened in the oven and they would need another 30 minutes. At this point I am more than annoyed but wanted to wait for it because it was for a friends birthday the following day.Please also note that the two employees who were working, were eating cookies, icing and on their phones listening /watching videos while out front. Very unprofessional and a little unhygienic as well.After waiting for almost 2 hours I finally got my order. The employees gave me two little cookies for free, but honestly they should have given me my whole order for free. I will not be going back to this location, nor any other location in the future.

Cookies good, customer service unfriendly. I’ve been a loyal GAC customer for years! I’ve always been a fan and purchase cookie cakes for my daughter every birthday. The fair oaks mall location has horribly unfriendly staff. The lady looked like I was greatly inconviencing her simply because I wanted to purchase cookies. No verbal greeting, just a blank stare and irritated monosyllabic responses to our questions.

My son and I love these cookies. They have a reward system. I like the 99 cent drinks we get wirh out cookies. Everyone we encountered was friendly.

Cookies were raw and staff was rude and rolled their eyes at me for no apparent reason when making my order. They also didnt even honor their prices, I would just go get cookies from 7-11 they are the same quality and the staff are always pleasant.

How can you run out of sugar cookies and not offer to make more. I literally drove 30 minutes out of my way for these kind of cookies and theyre out with 4 hours left til close. Pathetic and no wonder why theyve shut down so many stores.
