This is my favorite bakery. 60+ delicious choices. Scones, cookies, muffins, croissants, cup desserts, cream puffs, unique pastries, and, of course, cakes! I prefer cakes that are rich but not overly sweet which arent available everywhere, and Unique Bakery has at least two flavors Ive tried and loved.

David is a thorough professional. He made a beautiful 3 layer wedding cake for 150 people which was much appreciated by all guests. Pinapple cream at the bottom layer, Black Forest for the middle layer and vanilla for the top layer with gold ribbons and trimming was a smash hit. It was delivered and installed at the venue on time.Job well done, David !!!Cheers.Manny.

I purchased my wifes and daughters birthday cakes from here. In both instances, the owner gladly used my six-year-old daughters designs for the cakes. They were delicious. His pastries and cookies are awesome. He may have the best coffee cake Ive ever tasted. On top of that, he offers a free pastry and coffee for anyone who cant afford it. At times like this, that kind of kind-hearted charity says a whole lot. You cant beat the quality of baked goods, and to top it off, hes just a good guy.

Im a huge fan of supporting and buying locally owned businesses. This bakery has been here for a long time. The owner/Baker is very friendly. We used to live right across the street and I would come to this shopping center to walk my dog, pick up something to munch on and walk back around.I was in the area to take my dog, Bella, for her check-up and when she was done I decided to go and pick up some desserts for a friends get together. No one was there when I came in so I took my time looking around. He had a lot of different things and they all looked really good. I decided to pick up some cupcakes- he had three different ones so I decided to try all three and grabbed a dozen. Then I saw something that looked like a cannoli but he told me they were french rolls. I decided to get six of those. Then I saw the beautifully shaped and decorated sugar cookies so I decided to grab a couple dozen of those. Not going to lie- it was a bit expensive but I did get a lot of things.It was a total hit at the party! The kids loved the cookies! They couldnt get enough of them. The adults were fighting over the French rolls so Im glad I got the cupcakes as well. There wasnt anything left by the time the party was over.They also have a coffee station so its a one stop shop if you just want to get a scone or cinnamon roll with coffee. I highly recommend!

Disappointed. I specifically asked if there is whipping cream in the cream puff and the salesperson confirmed - it was actually cool whip or some sort of cheap substitute. Everything looked nice but it tasted old and low quality. What a disappointment...

It smelled so good going in and the pastries did not disappoint. Bought some the day before Thanksgiving and the baker was very helpful letting us know how to best keep the food since we werent having it that same day. Devoured the baklava as soon as we got home and saved the rest for the next and it all tasted wonderful still, especially the apple pastries.

This is such an amazing bakery. The owner is safe, sanitary, and incredibly friendly. The smell when you walk in is amazing. The cakes are so finely detailed, and the cookies are amazing.

Such a disappointing experience. The baked goods seemed like they had been laying in the tray at least a day, the turnover had little filling, and the cupcake was tasteless. The cream on top left a greasy feel and had a weird after taste, and was too sweet. Not the place for me.

Ordered a 3 tiers sweet 16 birthday cake for my daughter and had it delivered to Bamian restaurant. . The cake was delivered on time and it looked amazing and tasted delicious as well. Great customer service, highly recommend this bakery..

Always a pleasure to go here! I have known David, the owner, for 20 years or more. He has always carried the freshest cookies, turnovers, cakes, etc. I usually stop in on occasion to pick up a few goodies for myself, or a cookie basket for a gift. He made a sheet cake many years ago for my parents 50th wedding anniversary, and everyone loved it! He is an amazing one-man operation. David is always personable, and he really takes the time to chat and ask how youre doing. He, indeed, takes pride in his bakery and his customer base. This is my go-to bakery. Its convenient, fresh, and affordable. Oh, and you MUST order a cherry pie from him...its the best! Thank you, David...from the Butterfly Cookie Lady.

Excellent service and quality. We special ordered a birthday cake with a theme for my sons birhtday. We couldnt have been more pleased with what we received. The design of our requested theme was met very well and the quality of the cake was exceptional. We will be back and would certainly recommend them!

This bakery has almost every baked good that you would need. My own needs are quite basic - just some bread for toasts and sandwiches, and this bakery has always delivered. Also, their breads are always freshly baked.

My cake was absolutely gorgeous and TOTALLY DELICIOUS. The owner is a very sweet and kind man. He allowed me to bring all my own decorations, at a discount. He always offered me sweets and coffee everytime I checked in with him.EVERYONE at my wedding loved my cake. He decorated it perfectly with the supplies I gave him. And we got so many compliments on how delicious it was.We had the lemon cake with orange filling and the chocolate cake with raspberry fillings, and both were huge hits.

Yuck! I honestly don’t know if the pastries and cookies were old and stale or whether they were made that way on purpose. They were hard and tasteless. Everyone was disappointed, so save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere! In addition, the employee/owner took a while to acknowledge us, then was rude throughout the purchase. There are plenty of better bakeries nearby.

This place is a joke, went in looking to order a cake for my 10 year old boy, and asked to see designs they make, the guy showed me a photo album with pictures of cakes theyve made previously, none of the cakes looked good, and the writing on them was terrible... on top of that they dont sell cake by slice, so how are you gonna know if the cake is good, before you order one? Not a very good first impression at all.... p.s 5/1/2019 obviously the owner of the bakery cant read very well either, he responded to my review calling me presumptuous, I first said I couldnt try any cakes, they dont sell by slices, does he want me to buy whole cakes just to try and see which one I like???? Nah, not happening, I didnt give 1 star for taste, I gave 1 star for presentation and 1st impressions

What a joke!!! Save your time and money and go to a reputable respectable bakery like Randolph’s in Arlington or The Swiss Bakery in Burke or Springfield. This place is shady and desceptive.I called to inquire if they can make a Mango Mousse cake, my favorite, they told me they can make it.So my husband called and ordered it for my birthday. The first red flag was they asked if he wanted butter cream or whipping cream - mango mousse, as the name suggests, is a mousse cake.He picked up, and it was an averagely nice looking cake, but nothing of mango mousse. Picture a costco sheet cake with extra sugar and no flavor, cut in circle shape and with a thin yellow substance to count as mango.It was for birthday party so we had to make do with it, otherwise I would have taken it back to demand a refund. Its better to say you can’t do it rather than deliver such a crappy cake.

This place makes the best cannoli in Northern Virginia. The owner doesnt fill the cannoli shells until you order, so they stay fresh and crispy. I love this place.

Very disappointed in the supposedly fresh croissant donuts I had to preorder. I’m almost positive they weren’t even made this morning. Maybe it was the glaze that needed to be made. Wish I could post a picture to compare it to the one on their website. No comparison. I’m sad the nice gentleman really thought I wouldnt know the difference between a fresh and stale croissant donut. They are my speciality. If I knew I was going to get what I got, I would have gone to Dunkin’ donut.

Cake was terrible! Not worth it. Had to throw it away. Dry, old and disgusting icing, too much sugar....

We ordered our wedding cake from Unique Bakery and our guests LOVED it! Unique Bakery makes the most mouth-watering cakes and pastries in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia area, hands-down. Oh and they also serve THE MOST awesome doughnut ever, the famous doughnut-croissant, more commonly known as the cronut! Youve got to try one for yourself today.

We had called three different bakeries and had one cake tasting prior to meeting the owner of Unique Bakery, Davaud. The one cake tasting we had done at another bakery was tasteless and dry. We wanted real fruit filling and wanted the cake to be like it was made in Heaven. Time was running out and two weeks before our wedding we still did not have a cake! We were so stressed out!! Well, we found Unique Bakery, and from the moment we walked into the door, we were greeted with a smile, and warmth. He told us Dont worry, I will take care of everything for you. We came by for the cake tasting about four days later and WOW!!!! He knocked our socks off! We were so happy, and the price was so affordable and saying that the cake tasted AMAZING in an understatement. Thank you to Unique Bakery and Davaud for making things easy for us. He delivered our cake to the venue and set it up for us. It was beautiful!! Our guests are still talking about how delicious the cake was! We have had Davaud make another smaller version of our cake just for us to eat because it was the best cake we have ever tasted. Please take the stress out of your life and let Unique Bakery make your wedding cake or special occasion cake for you!! Thanks again Davaud!!

Davids Cakes are the most reasonable, cost affective in town.

I just wish that they add more tables and chairs for people to sit and linger a bit after buying their muffins or whatever pastries. Right now, you’ve no choice but leave as soon after buying.
