Check out Jelly Belly in Fairfield, CA. It’s an awesome family friendly tour! If you love jellybeans, you’ll be amazed at the facility. See how the jelly beans are actually produced and receive delicious samples at the end of your tour. The gift shop has every imaginable jelly bean flavor and souvenir items. The staff deserves 10 stars!
Wonderful! It costs 5 dollars for adults (and 2 dollars for children I believe), and is definitely worth it. You get to learn about how the beans are made, and the history of the company, among many other things. You also get a complimentary snack packet of jelly beans for the tour. It is self-guided, and very fun. The gift shop at the end is great too, with many limited edition jelly beans and such.
Does it feel a bit dated? Yes. Is the tour a bit cheesy? Yes. Is it worth stopping and experiencing - 100% yes. This is one of the best “factory tours” that you can experience in the USA. From a glorious era where companies would invest time and money into creating these sort of experiences for their brand. The cost is $5 but you do get a sample sized bag of jelly beans and a cute hat (that you have to wear). They will take a green screen photo (to purchase) at the beginning of the tour - but then you are on your own for this self guided journey of the life of a jelly bean. Expect to take 30-45 minutes for the tour and if you come during normal business hours and days you will see actual production going on. The shop is great and they have a passable cafe with jelly bean shaped pizza and burgers.
Super fun-walk through the jelly belly plant. See how the beans are made. Guess flavors. Lots of walking above the manufacturing and packaging. Gift shop has fresh chocolates and gifts. Pricey $$$, but it is fun to see the art made in beans..all ages and lots of walking. Cute Cafe and gift shopEntrance fee for self walking tour... computer with 2 minute video
Very nice place to visit!!!!I especially like this place has a very affordable gift shop and food court . Not to mention the very affordable admission price which also comes with two packages of jellybeans at no extra cost Per person definitely come here in the area. my only minor complaint is that there are no real tour guides it’s all led by video
The tour was super fun! Very interesting and watching watching the magic beans being made was really cool! The tour and facility was handicap accessible and wheelchair friendly.
The tour was interesting. My kids loved buying bags of belly flops (misshaped jelly beans.) Worth a visit!
Very informative tour. Its really a fun one for the family. The machines and workers are in perfect sync to show how a great product is produced. Beyond the work, the tour is very interactive. The smelling stations were a fun touch, along with the interactive video games.... But, the star of the show really are the jelly beans. The art that was created by the jelly beans was nothing short of magnificence. Very cool for any art lover. The tour itself is free, but beware of the tour photo package if you want a souvenir, it can get a little pricey 😬
Tour is very interesting. Large selection of Jelly Belly at the store!! Try not to get tempted in trying all the flavors.
Amazing experience what a great place thank you very much again
A must see if youre in the area the factory tour is cool and inexpensive
A great place to take anyone under the age of 14, or anyone who has a sweet tooth. And an even better place to work, if you can get a job there!
This place is sweet. Lots of eye-catching decor, art, and colors. The tour is self-guided and costs money, but make sure you go during the week to watch the machines in action.
My family and I had so much fun going to the Jelly Belly Tour!I love how they give an introductory video with lots of cool information about the history and the hats. The tour is so well-organized and there are tons of stuff to do along the way (this is to read, jelly belly art thats amazing and fun activities and games). They give you cute little samples at the end and if you check in on Facebook you get an extra gift. So much fun, would recommend for anyone to go here, singles, couples, families, groups.
Fun informative self guided tours and in store shopping. We highly recommend for family adventures.
Great place to visit for kids and children. You learn how the jelly beans are made and packaged. And you get free bags of Jelly Beans and free tasting. The tour is free. You can stay for an hour for the tour. If you are hungry, they have a cafe to serve fast food including the famous jelly belly shape pizza.
Love this place! So much fun to see how jelly beans are made. Nice tour.. Plus we received a free sample of yummy jelly beans!
Gosh this place was so well organized. Staff very friendly! The fact that this place is free is a win win situation. My son loved it. They have the history of the jelly beans, which was super interesting. They allowed us to see all areas of the process. I was blown away by the fact that they also make the gummy worms, yummy!! They gave us sample jelly beans at the end. Their shop on the first floor is awesome. We decided to stop at this place on our drive from San Francisco to South Lake Tahoe, great choice!
Be sure to go during the week so you can see the factory robots in action.
Our boys had a blast here. And my wife and I really like it too. The tour isnt too long, but you can really take your time and see lots of cool things about the process of how the jelly bellys are made! The factory workers were super nice and kept waving to our boys. There are lots of opportunities for pictures and other fun things. There is also a place to eat and get tons of jellys and even some yummy chocolates. And the tour is free! Whats not to love?
So much fun! I wasnt sure what to expect when we stopped to take the tour but it was a blast!
The Jelly Belly Tour was a hit with my family. A flyer we picked up locally said the tour was free, but it is actually $5 for adults and $2 for children and a great deal. The tour is currently self guided, with information stations and videos throughout the walk. You walk above the factory floor and can see the various stages of Jelly Belly development. We toured on a Saturday and although the the factory wasnt fully in operation due to the weekend, we were able to see some parts of of the process. I knocked off one star because two of the videos were not operational, which was a bummer. The staff works hard to ensure visitors are following the 6 foot rule and we saw people sanitizing the glass. Because the tour is self guided you can breeze through in as fast as 25 minutes. It took our family about an hour to watch the videos, read the information signs and check out the actions on the floor. We did not see a sampling station (probably due to COVID) but we did receive two small boxes of JB when we purchased our ticket. At the end of the tour we opted to do to the wine and chocolate tasting. The chocolates are produced in house and the wine is all local. Tastings for adults was $20 and they offer a cider options for $15; all include a JB wine glass. Emmy, our tasting host was excellent and we had the tasting room to ourselves. All total I believe we spent about 2.5-3 hours at the factory; well worth our time!
On June 21, 2021 i visited the Factory and the lady who we purchased tickets from at 10:55 am her name is Sonja had IMO a unprofessional voice tone she redirected me to the entrance to purchase tickets in a sharp tone. I was standing behind a man who was buying tickets. Then when she gave us hats my Grandkid put the hat on upside down and the hat came apart. She then told scolded my Grandkid for put the hat on wrong, hes only 9.After the tour I needed change for a $10 bill so I could buy the embroidered Penny. I went to the Food court to get change and they failed or refused to open the draw to give me change. And they direct their anger toward me when I asked for the manager. Im disappointed with the customer service the the abuse my Grandkid received.
Have fun exploring the factory where jelly bellys are made. Get a direct over view of how their candies are made.
Been here more than once. This place is awesome and the best part about it is it’s free!! So if you’re visiting from out of town with children and trying to stay on a budget this Place is great. Tour the plant at your own pace very informative about the history of jelly belly while Providing Jellybeans samples of the future
Wish my kid wasnt rushing through all the video areas i wanted to watch all the videos but couldnt cuz my kid was hungry and wanted to leave
This is always a great experience. Employees always very nice.
Nice tour yummie treats
Free tour of a jelly bean factory! Only 3 stars because omg that cafe is GROSS and in general, the Libby, cafe, store area is really shabby / not clean.
Was fun and wasnt to expensive
Was there as a kid and still as cool taking my kids
It was really enjoyable. Free self guided and guided tours and activities
Great personal tour
It was nice that it was open during the pandemic and 50%off what I wanted. I only was able to get one of my favorite xmas candies but probably better off only getting one. Lol
Fun if you have the time
A fun place to visit with the family 😁
The Jelly Belly factory is a fun place to visit. In the candy shop you can try every flavor of Jelly Belly jelly beans. They have other candy and sell gifts in the gift shop. Its awesome!
If you are in Fairfield California, I highly recommend stopping by the Jelly Belly factory. It is great for all ages. The facility is well run, staff are very helpful and friendly, and you can see every stage of the jelly bean making process. They have food, a cafeteria, and a great gift shop with everything a Jelly Belly fanatic could want. You cant go to California without stopping by.
Best time ever
I definitely come back again. It was so much fun. The baby wipe Jelly Belly Bean was actually not too bad. My favorite flavors are the lime, very cherry, Sunkist Orange, and any of the sweet flavors available.
What a great place to visit with family. We recently took the factory tour when family was visiting from out of town. It is amazing to see how these little tasty beans are made a packaged. They also tell the history of the company and the updates to the way jelly beans have been produced through the years.
What a fun experience for the whole family. 2 weeks to make a jelly Bean....who knew?!? Not only is the tour informative but they give samples too! The green apple road smells divine and I absolutely love the red apple jelly belly. Definitely worth the stop!!
Love JellyBelly The worker Brittany was so sweet Great place
Cool place. Been good to know no one was working on Saturday. Didnt see that on the website ... But might have missed it. Cool gift shop and neat experience if in the area.
It’s free candy. You can even double the free haul by checking in in Facebook. Not much happening on a Saturday but it was free. The videos are telling what the machine would be doing if it was running. Really liked the smell containers where you tried to guess the flavor.Fun place to go.
A real fun exploration for people.of.all ages. The treats at the end of the tour and shopping retail are really engaging. Theyve added reduces sugar and organic jelly belly beans. Enjoyed tour of factory, especially seeing the robots on the floor and in shipping department.
I became very ill after eating the sugar free jelly bellys. I read the lable after and it says may cause a laxative effect. This is horrible for diabetics and I think you should remove the ingredient that does this. Werthers and Russell Stovers sugar free candy doesnt make you sick. I am very disappointed in your company.
I loved this place! We took a tour and it was so much fun! Perfect place to go if your on vacation can’t wait to go back!
The tour is free and they give you ample free samples. We were there on a day when the factory wasnt even operating, but the tour was still engaging and fun. My 3-year-old really enjoyed it, and we did, too.
Mmmmmm!
THE TOURS ARE AMAZING YOU GET SEE HOW THEY MAKE TASTY DELCIOUS CANDY AT THE AMAZING DELICIOUS JELLY BELLY CANDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found a brochure in our hotel @LaQuinta FairfieldAnd so happy we came on this tour!!! Truly inspiring and informative! Family run business. Love the short informative videos and the interactive areas along the way... like the “smell the jelly bean” areas. it’s a free tour and they give out free samples. Great souvenir shop too! From CT doing a road trip. Very happy we stopped here. Family of five - kids from age 24 down to 8 - all liked it!
Great experience. Very educational, free tasters. Wonderful outing for kids...
You go at your own pace, lots of information to learn and see, free samples, best to go on weekdays so you can see workers and production.
Came here with my school a long time ago. Was pretty interesting to see all the machinery and gallons of sugar and coloring they pour on the candy.Maybe one day Ill come back just for fun.
This was a great experience. Jon was our Tour Guide and he was very informative and had a great sense of humor. We had a wonderful lunch after our tour! The food was good and my salad was prepared fresh! The prices were good and the servers were all very friendly. Our family of eight had a really good time.
This is the best thing ever for candy people. Great tour, interactive guides, fun tastings, all for free! Yes.
My aunt has a friend who works here so we got some VIP treatment. My son loved this place. We went a bit crazy with the shopping.
It is a self paced tour, easy to walk and interesting information. If you go with the kids it is easy to get lost in the display. Just remember everything is expensive$$.
The tour is soooo Awsome my wife and i loved it its free and well worth it go take your family with you when you go i loved it ...
Fun experience. Great for kids and families.
It was nice but they should change it up to make it more exciting.
Fun and easy tour - short but not too short. The kids enjoyed this quite a bit.
Best place to get your sugar fix!
Love this place! They give free tours and my 2 year old loved it.
Its a great little your. Just went on the free one
Better than I expected. And I dont even eat candy!
Unique and informative. Easy self-guided tour, accessible for all ages and abilities.
I was born and raised in Fairfield, but moved away in 2005. When I was younger, elementary field trips to the Jelly Belly Factory were ALWAYS such a treat. The aromas and beauty of it all is just fascinating. My mom LOVES Jelly Beans.. I mean seriously, EVERY time were somewhere and she sees them (has to be the real Jelly Belly brand), she buys them. If were at the Vacaville Outlets, we ARE GOING to the Jelly Belly outlet for sure. So, on my recent visit home, I took her for a tour and we both really enjoyed it. I love all of the sensory activities. A lot of the crew in the factory even waved at us lol.The only thing we wish, is that there were samples along the way. There are people stationed in certain areas, and it would have been nice if they had samples to give so we could try new flavors or enjoy classic ones. This doesnt stop us from coming though.I definitely recommend to bring your children here. Its a great way to have fun and fill up an afternoon for free. Lastly, I was very delighted with the selection in the gift shop! AND the discount shop located near the food area. There was actually a shirt I have been searching for and they had it! Its safe to say we had an amazing day.
Great free tour. Interesting and fun.
My grandsons and I had lots of fun
It is nice to see they made very nice factory outlet
Our tour was great! Be advised that the last tour leaves the lobby at 4:00pm most days. Call ahead if youre going to arrive after that to find out when the last tour is on a particular day.
Went earlier today and bought a soda there machine only gave out flat soda. None of the soda was carbonated.
Happiest place on earth
Very nice, very busy, very pretty, and very interesting.
