Had a sad day, decided to buy myself flowers that send $1 to a charity that feeds hungry families. They were over $10 😞 I thought just because they were from Fairfield they would be a wonderful bouquet. When I unwrapped it at home I got this instead. Glad to help out for a cause and give a home to near death flowers but it was the last thing I had expected.

I wonder if you’ve ever had one of those days where everything goes wrong? Well, On this day I also dropped my credit card at Stop & Shop But to my surprise One gentleman from produce picked up my card and handed it to the service desk who contacted me…that was when my day turned around! So happy I rushed back to Stop & Shop to collect my card and thank these gentleman that were so honest, kind, professional, and really made my day! So thank you so much to:Matthew from the service desk Who called me and returned my card andMike from produce (with the glasses) Who found my card and quickly turned it in to the service desk.Thank you so much you guys you turned my day from a crummy one into a happy one!BTW when I asked Matthew if I can give them a gift in return he said “well, that’s very nice but we don’t usually receive gifts but some customers choose to post messages on stop & shop’s website”. What a gentleman!

Ms. Carmen Ramos impressed us as a lovely person - efficient, motivated and friendly. She often goes above and beyond her call of duty. It is a real delight for us to come in contact with Ms. Carmen who we believe represents the best of what Stop&Shop is about - an excellent local supermarket.

Tuesday Sept 7th mid-morningThe self-check out kid was rude.I bought 3 packs of water for $10 but the machine rang error. The kid was socializing with a female employee so he quickly dismisses me with a rude you need to take that off. As he walked away after the girl,, I asked why. He snapped because its too heavy and walked away.I was dumbfounded, thinking such bad and unprofessional service. Im like who is the adult and who is the child here? I would never dare talk rude or disrespectful to a customer on my job.

This Stop & Shop is my go-to & favorite, affordable sushi stand in CT/Fairfield area! The sushi selection is absolutely DELICIOUS, fresh, clean and is as good as it gets for the price! Definitely recommended if youre looking to satisfy your sushi craving. Really solid and FRESH selection at a price you cannot beat! GREAT service too!!Asides from the awesome sushi here, I LOVE this particular Stop & Shop! Its logically laid out and the staff is wonderful! This Stop and Shop had all smiles on every employee. Fresh produce, awesome sushi takeout, and plentiful inventory. Thanks for the awesome experience; I will be back for sure!

Horrible ( scan it ) tools. Also every time I use it I have to be audited. Needless to say I end up having to empty my whole cart at a regular casher any ways.

It’s just like all the other stop and shops in the matter of layout and convenience with the exception that it’s the superstore of stop and shops. They have much more products than your local stop and shops and have it in larger quantity as well. The staff here is very nice and they keep the place super clean. They pretty much have anything you can need and more. Check it out!

This grocery store provides a standard shopping experience. We can usually find what we need, and sometimes other items. The cashier lines are long but move fast. Theres a good amount of light up front, but I do think the aisles are a bit narrow. All in all, a good neighborhood shopping setup.

I would update the bottle return station and make sure staff is available to maintain it. They get filled quickly and tend not be working adequately. I would also maintain a cleaner dryer environment watch for leaks Round the meat section exc. Other than that very good.

Very clean and good meats and fresh vegetables

Store is clean and their products are fresh and often at good prices. I prefer this supermarket over others that are larger and can overwhelmed any customer with so much product forcing customers to travel throughout the store for a pickup of a few products. This Stop & Shop has the products and meets the needs for Latinos, Jewish, Greek and many other races that are close to this location.

I cant remember a time, when i was waited on in a timely manner. I always have to wait; there is no one ever readily available. But today was one for the record book. I was standing there waiting to be served; when the woman behind the counter; turned and asked the lady next to me; how she might help her! Not, who was next in line, but just assumed she came before I did. I wonder why?

I love buying my groceries at Stop and Shop. The food quality is terrific. Very good service. Prices are reasonable. Store is clean

Its an odd Stop & Shop in that it seems to suffer from chronic under supply issues. Todays issue was taco kits. How can a shortage of taco kits happen at a grocery store? Stunning. They had just about none except for terriyaki taco kits??? What?

Lots of product choices available, appropriate number of cashiers for number of shoppers. The store is well-lit, clean, well-stocked and well-marked as to direction of the aisles. My only complaint was that a number of the other customers were ignoring the directional markers and/or not wearing masks, and there was no employee or manager visible other than the cashiers to whom a complaint could be made about this.

Nice very clean place to shop

I love to go shopping in there and nice friendly place, till yesterday. I’m taking care of an 83 years old retired priest, for that reason I like to go in and out ASAP, because of the pandemic, I have to buy him a bottle of vitamins and I grab the wrong vitamins, I live 5 minutes away from the supermarket and I return to customer services to exchange the vitamins for the right one ( men vitamin) instead of women ! Customer service women, refused to exchanged it ! Even though it was with in 10 minutes of the transaction! People be aware of her !

This is a well run store, like to shop here whenever Im nearby.

The prices are never correct. Items are never in the right spot. Cashiers are rude and disgusting. There’s one guy at the Customer service desk who does need to work in any job that involves customer service.

I would honestly be giving 1 star if this wasn’t my go to Stop n Shop in the area. I’ve been shopping here for years. The reason I am so upset with St&Sh right now is because 2 nights ago I spent $15.29 plus tax on a box of cat food. I didn’t notice until my kitten got sick from the food that all 12 cans were expired. This was very concerning at the time but he got better within 24 hours. The problem is that I brought the cans of food back in a bag with the receipt to either get a refund or just exchange the cans for other ones. I was told by the young lady at customer service that there are no refunds, exchanges, rain checks, etc and pointed to the sign that says it at the counter. That is completely unacceptable considering there was no sign saying that at the self checkout register that I used the other night and it’s not printed on the receipt. Then to pour salt on the wound, printed at the bottom of the sign it says thank you for understanding. You are not giving people any choice and THAT is something I DO NOT understand. The customer service employee had no problem doing a cash transaction with me for a money order so I’m really confused about the difference. What makes the money ok to touch but not my receipt? This is completely unheard of. At least when Whole Foods implemented their new return policy a couple of weeks ago, they printed it in bold letters at the bottom of their receipts. I would not normally complain but when it comes to food poisoning, whether it’s a human or an animal, it’s painful to go through and I shouldn’t have had to pay for expired cat food that should have been pulled from the shelf. My having a degree in Public Health Inspection provides me with the knowledge needed to know how potentially hazardous canned products can be when damaged or expired. I ended up throwing the merchandise away right at customer service. She didn’t have to touch it, but I refuse to accept that your store just changes its refund policy overnight, doesn’t place the proper signs at all of the registers or print it on the receipts and you won’t take responsibility for selling a loyal customer a dangerous product. I would understand if I didn’t have my receipt but really??!! I’ll be contacting corporate because I do not see how this is realistically ok to do to your customers.

I wish stop and shop and stop closing their stores

I really like this stop and shop. Most of the employees are super friendly and helpful. Joey is fantastic as well as others that I unfortunately do not know the name of otherwise I would list them here!! Ellen who is a manager is not so fantastic and has been rude to me multiple times before on several occasions. She freaked out on me because I asked her to take off an item I did not intend to buy. There were other occurrences besides this one but I do not remember them unfortunately. I really do think I am going to call corporate on this matter because I am sure if she is rude to me she is most likely rude to other customers. Some ofthe employees dont even like her and I honestly dont blame them. There is also another manager there that is bad too and I will tell corporate about them as well. As a manger you should be setting a good example for your employees and yelling at or arguing with a customer is a BAD manager. There had been some other bad experiences I have had here. An employee arguing with me over a sale price of mints. Of cat food. Implying I was stupid. Just really unprofessional stuff.

Today I went into this Stop & Shop to buy a Carvel cake for one of my employees. I wanted his name written on it but instead Julissa Perez from the Bake Shop went above and beyond and drew beautiful balloons and an amazing design on his cake. My coworker was so impressed and happy!! Not only is Julissa extremely friendly, helpful, and nice, she is also super talented. I normally go somewhere else to buy birthday cakes for my employees but because of Julissa I will be returning to this Stop & Shop. The Bake Shop is so lucky to have her. Customer service like Julissa’s really makes a difference!!

The store set up is crazy. Ice cream cones and ice cream are nowhere near each other for example! And those terrible carousel things are still there no matter how many times people complain. You ask for feedback but nothing changes so Im shopping at Trader Joes!

Their Ben and Jerrys freezer was by far the neatest and most well organized freezer Ive ever seen..plus 2 for $7!

They are out of a lot of stuff constantly. They dont keep their shelves stocked well. Being near a university, you would think they would do a better job.

First I want to start with how amazing the employees are here and how much I love shopping here, I have always had a wonderful experience with all of the front end employees, I truly appreciate all of you and everything you do, especially the cashiers and the gentlemen in produce, they are wonderful people and always willing to go out of their way to help and say hello.Now the pharmacy. I typically go to CVS but since I shop here often I decided to switch, I just recently moved here. an older woman that has brunette short hair I have had issues with. I became very sick and picked up my prescriptions...no problem. 2 days later my doctor saw me again and my symptoms had worsened by a lot so they prescribed me a stronger perscription. After receiving a text it was ready to pick up I went to pick it up and the pharmacist refused to fill it. She told me she already gave me something different and canceled my perscription. I told her she was in the wrong and I was given a stronger medication because symptoms worsenedShe(meanwhile my face is swollen enough that my eyes are barely open) then yelled at me and said I was lying, almost implying that I was just trying to get pills...it took me two days to get everything sorted out causing my illness to worsen and leaving me out of work a total of two weeks. Never in my life have I had a pharmacist overrule my doctor and cancel a perscription. I switched pharmacies immediately. I couldnt even believe this was happening, I felt like it was right out of a soap opera. How dare you refuse to help someone that is sick.I continue to shop here regularly, I love the atmosphere and how clean it is, I shop here sometimes 3 times in one day. Thank you to all the employees for everything you do for your customers. But I think the pharmacists need to be reminded they are not doctors...

Great grocery store that seems to carry just about everything you need from frozen food to fresh produce. I stopped for a few items and was looking for a specialty medical cream which they surprisingly had. The store is clean and the staff is very helpful.

Easy_off_easy_on from exits 22 or 23 from I_95 (Connecticut turnpike) on U.S. route 1 (kings highway cut_off) at the intersection with state route 130 (post road). Open until midnight every night with world_class choices in every aisle. This particular location is only about 1 mile east of the main downtown area of Fairfield which has lots of good dining options.

Check your receipt. Items on sale dont register. Bonus savings dont get applied.Was just there tonight and buy one, get one free deals on 2 different items did not show up. Also, bonus savings on $10 back if you buy participating products didnt get deducted.Ended up fighting with cashier manager as she didnt even know how to read a receipt.How many people leave there not even knowing they are getting robbed?

This Stop & Shop has a nice section of natural choices. I am lactose intolerant and chocoholic, it was here where I found a lactose free chocolate bar. I nearly died of excitement. Finally something chocolate besides different milks made from nuts that I could have. Other than that, what gives this location five stars is the Sushi guy. He knows what I pick up at lunch time and when he sees me he gets everything ready for me to take to the register. That, to me, is excellent customer service and one of the reasons I go here for lunch and other shopping needs during my work week.

Forget to get what I needed

I had an 18 pack of Budweiser Copper Ale in my hands at check-out, fresh fm the beer cooler. But I was not allowed to buy it. I was told; Its not in the system yet. Big disappointment!

Theres 3 of the chain in city of bpt.. this one, ffld ave and north on main street, before trumbull mall. This I rank as #2, ffld ave being the better of the three. Its usually clean, easy in and out, well stocked. I only prefer ffld ave location bc they carry some products the others dont. So it really comes down to that btwn the two locations for me. (The one on main street is not very sanitary, and i hate to say but it kinda stinks too. I just cant ever go there again).

Managment needs to get better with knowing the policies on rainchecks plain and simple.

I have been to this store multiple times. The fresh food (vegetables, diary and meat) is well maintained. Food is usually is in good shape or better.There natural foods section (excluding organic vegetables that is in another section) is small compared to the size of this store, but it has a lot of popular items...non-diary milks, energy/snack bars, cereals (quite a bit), faux-meats, gluten free items here and there, chocolates, baking supplies like flours, organic beans, soups, sauces, a handful of organic products (there is more throughout the store) and more. Pricing can be fair or a little expensive (50 cents to $2-3). Everything else in the store is similarly priced to most nearby Stop and Shops.In terms of store design, its big. Lots of aisle, but the lighting is a bit too dim and too yellow in my opinion (outside of the meat areas).Customer service from the staff is good too. If you need something, they will help you quick. The employees I have meet, they are well versed on the aisle contents.I had one bad encountered where the cashier told me I looked like a painter and that my outfit is great halloween getup when its the middle of July. I didnt even have a speck of paint on me... That was disrespectful honestly... I am going to the self checkout next time.I like this supermarket overall. Not prefect but it serves its purpose. And it has nice sales every week, sometimes two weeks.
