Great work on a sub/amp install. Brought what I had to the shop & was hooked up with everything else needed to keep my stock headunit. Car sounds killer! Even tucked my tuners power cable - a nice touch.Classy/clean install at a fair price that was discussed beforehand. Thanks Fred! Friendly shop dog too
Theres better places extremely rude
I had the audio shop install a new radio in my tacoma, Fred made sure everything was set exactly the way I asked, he even assisted me with a software update after the sale.
The factory system in my 2017 F150 needed some low-end and Fred helped me add quality bass without breaking the bank. Most importantly, I didn’t want someone inexperienced tearing up my truck. Fred’s expertise resulted in a clean and professional installation. If you are looking to upgrade your factory sound, The Audio Shop should be your first stop!
These guys were so helpful. I had an oddball part that I was after to retrofit a polaris rzr stereo, and not only did they have it, but they were INCREDIBLY helpful and great to deal with. I would highly recommend.
Dealership advised us that we would need to replace entire stereo and display/system on our Toyota Forerunner- 2K - Fred found the problem and our total cost was $200- Honest and good service! Recommend them to all!
Quoted me $850 just in labor to install a small amp for my door speakers. (This doesnt even include the amp.) I can have the speakers accessible in less than 30 minutes and everything wired professionally in less than hour. $850? Really? Promptly called another audio shop and was assured $150 in labor for this simple job. Above all I was treated rudely when being kind and curious over the phone call. Maybe you have plenty of business but that does not give you the right to be crude to people. My business will go somewhere else because the attitude problem alone, not to mention the ridiculous upcharge.
Fred Lockett has been in this industry for decades. He is professional, honest, and dedicated to his craft. He treats people fairly and does what he says he will do for the price quoted. Keep up the good work Fred!
So disappointing
Never had service very professional those complaints on price of installation Ive been paying since 1996 and cost gone up yet installation has been same price. you try to get a dealer to factory remove doors dash trim for a window replaced b4 equipment 175 labor and they are doing it for less and happy to help you afterwards. I can do now and I hide install to the new and different types of cars can say that what they can perform in a half day takes me 2 days and right tools for every different type of car cost me 100 dollars just for connectors trim pullers not including what I spent on gauges yet ppl forget install prices include all those little connectors is usually included. always buy my equipment from here and trust me get done here Im tired of seeing your hot wire running thru doors from battery or having to listen to ppl stereo rattling wo dash kits plus w loud subs please remember dyno Matt metal sounds horribly annoying. Sorry 2 cents worth please be nice to installation guys your stereo should look and sound as well as it took them to factory remove and put back your car I say ty guys for still being around dealerships 3 times the price!
I have known the owner for 20 years! He is the most honest guy I have ever had work on my vehicle. He has put several systems in for me over the years. Never had a problem, EVER!He really knows what he is doing...He does fantastic work, doesnt over charge.Thank you Fred for all the great work!! Will be back, always!!
Fred did such a great job installing remote start on my vehicle. He completed the job in less time than I expected, which was a great surprise! His attention to detail and thoroughness cannot be beat! Customer for life!!
Great customer service. I had an issue with some of the features of the stereo unit a few days after installation. Fred quickly researched the issue and replaced the unit. I would highly recommend!
Fred does fantastic work- especially the custom stuff! I wouldnt trust any other shop. I get tons of compliments on the work he has done.
This is The Audio Shop now, same owner, best customs shop around, able to do all kinds of restorations and installations. Vehicular and in home with appointments. All ways timely and upfront, you dont get a run-around, and the price is right for the excellent work you receive. Fred, the owner, makes sure to meet with every customer, go over the options for what the customer wants done and offers different solutions for different price levels. You feel taken care of the moment you walk into the door, until you pull away with your new mods.
Recently put in a new sound system for my truck. They did a great job with the installation and now my music sounds better than they ever had before. They were also very patient with my multiple questions, and they really do a good job at explaining how to get the best sound for your buck. I would highly recommend and definitely do business with them again.
I own 4 Wheel Concepts in Bentonville and have been doing business with Fred for almost 20 years. He does quality work and is very knowledgeable about the products he sales! Support your local business and give him a shout!
The best shop in NW Arkansas. Fred (the owner) is a craftsman who knows his stuff. His prices are very good and he doesn’t try to over-sell you on equipment.
The audio shop installed a backup camera, radio unit and speakers in my old 2002 suburban and I could not be happier with the work done. They have very reasonable prices and superior service to the competition. Do NOT go anywhere else to get customization done to your vehicle. I would give this store 10 stars if it were possible. Ive had audio work done at the big box stores before and I should have been here! These guys are the experts at vehicle electronics.
I’m not sure if this place is ever actually open. Multiple attempts to call all result in no answer. The “Closed, be right back” sign has been on the door every time I drive by during their supposed business hours. Is this place closed permanently or something? Thanks to owners quick response, I will try again. Modding to 3 stars. Hopefully 5 star rating after service.
Dropped my truck off to have new speakers installed, picked it up and I could not be happier with the sound. Fred did a great job and I will recommend his work to anyone. He is honest and stands by his work.
Fred is great to work with and does amazing work. Did a install on my lifted Chevy pickup and, hope to get some other projects in there very soon. I would trust him with anything of mine that I want to rock the tunes.
Needed speakers in one of our company trucks. Owner was friendly and very fast to install!! Sound quality is awesome!! Thanks. Would highly recommend!
Heard good things about this place so called them and I just wanted my stereo and back up camera installed that I received as a gift and they wouldn’t install it because I wouldn’t purchase a stereo from them. I had cash in hand but poor business made them lose my business. Pretty upset with this place.
Great quality worK and friendly staff! If you can imagine it, Fred can build it. He does great car audio but also great custom work. Fred is The Man!
I went there to get a basic keyless entry for my car. I thought that the customer service was great. I had my kids there with me and couldnt leave. They have a nice waiting room area that has a flat screen TV. It was really comfortable and felt like I was at home. The price was really good as well. I will definitley be going back to them for other services.
Guy tells me Im going to have to have a custom box built because cant get prefab box in the trunk a 2006 Mustang. Thats strange, I already have a prefabbed box in the trunk. Mine is sealed, I was wanting ported. My money will go elsewhere
Audio Express/Fred has installed stereo systems in both my truck and boat. Both were done with attention to detail and excellence. I had a minor issue with wiring several months after the install and Fred handled it quickly and at no expense to me. I would recomend them to friends and family. Fred knows what he is doing and I beleive he takes pride in his work and pleasing the customer.
Fred installed a new radio with blue tooth in my Honda S2000 and it’s wonderful. Fast, friendly service at a great price—what more do you need ?
Fred replaced my stereo super fast, and I couldnt be happier with it! Highly reccomend. :)
The owner (Fred) is really knowledgeable, has superb customer care and has fair prices.you will not be let down in any way shape or form going to this shop, if I could rate 10 stars I would
Great customer service and top notch work. I highly recommend this business to all my friends and family.
Another locally owned business. Good work, on time, and well priced.
Fred did a custom sound system for my golf cart and it absolutely turned out amazing, when price, craftsmanship and quality count The Audio shop in Fayetteville is absolutely the place to be
They got in me in quickly and did a good job. The only problem is that the aux cable they installed was a bit cheap and shorting out. The owner, Fred, was kind enough to reach out to me and offer to fix the problem upon reading my google review.
They hooked up our party bus!
Very pricey, they took 100 dollars for a 15 minue installation.
Dont waste ur money somewhere else. Unless ur just prone to going back and wasting again for unsatisfactory work. Just sayin... great job and professional service
If you can get them to answer their phones ever, then your a step ahead of me
If I could give them less than a full star I would. I have an Alpine Navigation/DVD/CD head unit installed by Audio Express. They told me they were done and I paid them $550.00 and walked out and got into my truck. I turned on the FM HD band which was on a local Fayetteville station and there was so much white noise I couldnt even hear the music. I immediately brought it to their attention. The head guy got in my passenger seat and listened to my radio. He turned up the sound and looked at me and said, oh, well the sound gets clearer the louder your radio is. He said it as if that was an acceptable response. I didnt pay them $550.00 to do an install that was overcome with white noise. He told me to bring it back the next day and he would take a look. Turned out they used the wrong connector (not sure what exactly) and had to switch to a premium connector because my speakers were Bose, this I guess makes sense but I dont know radios which is why I trusted my truck and radio with Audio Express. After getting home I noticed in the next few days that the radio housing was not fitted correctly so when the face of the radio would try to adjust (it tilts, slides down horizontal to the floor board to insert DVD) and it wasnt able to adjust because the housing Audio Express used was too tight. I finally took my truck to Best Buy once I realized Audio Express is incompetent. My main complaint is that Audio Express listened to my radio that night of initial installation and heard the white noise and their response was basically to just turn my radio up louder. $550.00 is a lot of money and for Audio Express to think they can take advantage of me by expecting me to believe I should just turn up my stereo is a joke and offensive. Stay away from this place. They are not customer friendly. They simply do not care about the quality of their work or the satisfaction of their customers.
Audio Express did a great job… I took my 2006 Corvette to Audio Express to have them evaluate what I thought was a blown speaker. Fred listened to my stereo and could have sold me speakers that I did not need, instead he said the speaker was being over boosted by the audio system. I got to talking about the short comings of my factory stereo. Fred showed me some options where I could have a new stereo installed that be easily be pull out and plug in the old stereo if I wanted to return my car back to the factory original. I had Fred email me a quote and elected to have the new stereo installed. The work was completed on time and at the quoted price. Fred was professional and courteous. There was no high sales pressure. When Fred was demonstrating my new stereo I was surprised to see a gold wedding band in the car. The installer found it when they had my center console disassembled. I am attempting to contact a previous owner of the Vette to find the ring’s owner.P.S. While I was at the Audio Express front desk to pick up my car, I overheard a conversation Fred had with another customer. What I got out of it was the customer did not buy a stereo from Audio Express, but was having problems with it since he was missing an adaptor. Fred had given the guy the adaptor. The guy said how much is it? Fred said “We’ll catch you next time.” The guy said “But I haven’t paid for it.” Fred said “Don’t worry about it. Just remember us when you have a need in the future.” The guy said thank you and walked out amazed. I thought it was pretty nice.
Pathetic. Dont waste your time. The Alpine logo on this store or website is a disgrace to Alpine.Due to a government recall I received a written return authorization form from Alpine customer service on a PDR-F50 amplifier and was told to take the certificate to the nearest Alpine dealer which is this Audio Express location. Called them and they said they arent even an authorized Alpine dealer and they would not honor the recall exchange or replacement. Said to handle it myself, nothing is free, then hung up on me! I called Alpine corporate back, they apologized and promptly sent me a UPS label to return directly to them for a free replacement.Crutchfield is so much better I wonder how places like this are still in business.Alpine also assured me they would correct with the salesperson so AE may not be authorized much longer. If you own a PDR amp you need to return it to Alpine.
This place is very professional and worked hard to take care of my issues with a previous install (from someone else).
Great quality audio and custom work!! 5/5
Very helpful advice 👍
Definitely most professional in town
Great shop, awesome guy to buy from
Fabulous !
