I took my 1996 dodge ram 4x4 to mark at the federal way macco and had him do the body work and a complete color change from burgundy to cement grey. I was honestly blown away at the quality of work and the outstanding paint job he did! For the price and the time frame and how easy he is to work with I took my other truck in there to him the next day! Excellent place to go!

Updating my post since I have picked up my car unfinished...Dropped my mustang off on 5/24/21 and was told it would be 2 weeks to sand and prep and paint, I just picked it up on 7/30/21 and all they had done was the sanding, and wasnt even completed, found tThe creases un sanded, under the water gaurd wasnt touch, over spray ect. I always had to call for a update and would be told it would be done in 2 days max ( was told that multiple times) Id call the day after they told me it should be done and still wasnt done🤦‍♀️ they never called me to give me a update until Wednesday 7/28 and told me it would be painted 7/29 afternoon, called 7/30 Im am ro see if I could pick up and wasnt ready so asked how much it would cost to pick up with the work they did said $500 plus tax, charged me $550 (whole job was suppose to be $1017) the receipt I have said is was $799 for paint work and the body work and prep wouldnt have cost more the $200 but was charged $550? They are a rip off, they are not professional. I believe if they would have just kept me up to date then I wouldnt be this upset about it! The manager Mark refused to give me the name and number of the person above him, he also smokes inside the office which I believe is disgusting! Im not saying all maacos are this way but I wouldnt recommend ANYONE to this maaco even if they advertised there work as free🤦‍♀️The photo of my car being blue is after I found someone else to paint it and got it done in 1 day and come to my home to do the work!😊

My 350z was damaged badly. I went to this Maaco because my partner has gotten work done at a different Maaco and had an amazing experience. When I arrived at Maaco, Mark, was very considerate when looking at the damages and coming up with an estimate. I originally needed to replace the door and fix the damages. He was kind enough to offer me deals as fixing the entire body of my car and adding my aftermarket side skirts, bumper, and also painting the whole car for about $2500. I was planning to paint my car a purple and thought okay a great chance to do it now with the deal. I looked at the book of paint samples and picked out a purple. However, I believe that the labels were a bit off because when I kept pointing at the purple, Mark kept reading it as magenta. I said no I think it was the label below it that read purple like the color. I asked him if I should write down the label I wanted and he said it wasnt needed. On the day that I dropped my car off on 11/16, Mark wanted to show me some motorcycle parts that have been painted purple. I told him I wanted that if offered. Also, when dropping off my car, I showed mark a picture of another 350z with the aftermarket bumper he was going to put on mine. I ask him to please not paint the bottom part (the lip) and to leave it black (third photo) and he said of course.. People usually leave it black because of gravel and so on. I was ready to go. I get my car back on 12/8. My partner went to go pick up and pay for the car for me since I was working full time at the moment and wouldnt be able to get it before they closed. When I finally got to look at my car in person, they painted my car the wrong color. Magenta and solid purple are different shades. The body works on my car, amazing and clean. I called back to express that I was not content with the color of my car and spoke with Star (Marks daughter who works at the front desk) and she said that I could bring in my car on Monday which would have been 12/14 but I expressed that was not practical for me because my partner and I are under circumstances where we currently have to share a vehicle. When I was trying to explain how I think they got the colors wrong she tells me no you picked that color and I said no.”Magenta not once came out of my mouth and you can see the significant difference in shade. she said, when you bring it in youre going to have to sign something that says you picked the color out. I said, of course. Just wish they would have done that in the beginning before painting my car. I told them I could bring it in anytime after 12/19. They mention to bring it in once the new year came so my car wouldnt be stuck there over the holiday. Well, it is 12/21 and I look at my bumper, it is peeling and chipping away! I called them today to ask what options I had because I no longer felt comfortable with the painting or redoing anything. I have already expressed my gratitude for how well the body was fixed amazingly but the paint was just a no at this point. Star responded with we were gonna redo the paint anyways” and I told her about how I no longer was comfortable with them painting my car especially after my paint chipping off with not even three complete weeks passing by. I mentioned how they werent supposed to paint the lip, to begin with. She then comes back on the phone and said no Mark said you did not say that.” I have literally shown him a picture and he said of course like it was obvious yet my bumper was fully painted. I asked if I could get some money back because I once again was not comfortable leaving my car with them because they already painted the wrong color, to begin with They painted the whole bumper, and IT IS CHIPPING AFTER NOT EVEN THREE WEEKS. I did not mind spending the $1800+ for the work fixing my car and adding my parts but I just wanted some money back from the $890 I spend on the paint job. They were very unprofessional on the phone and not accountable. With their tone and the way that they were reacting, why would I want to bring my car back here.

I had a dent in my door which they fixed, they did a good job on that and I understand that it made the process take longer than usual. When it comes to the paint job it was done with little care, and the owner was usually rude when I would call to check on the car. I got my car back with a crack on the back panel, over spray in a lot of places like the radiator, headlights, cant really drive at night now and a little bit on the interior of the car. They also broke the plastic around my window wipers. When I asked if they could fix it, he responded with thats the best were gonna do. If you dont really care about the details of your car then this a good place.Ive emailed customer service and havent gotten a response and its been 2 weeks smh

The paint job was good and the price was much cheaper than anywhere else in my area, but the customer service was terrible. Their initial estimate was that I would get my car back on Monday (a five day wait). When I called on Monday, they had not even started the paint job and said it would be ready by noon on Tuesday. When I called at ten the next day, they said it would not be ready until four or four-thirty. The building smelled strongly of cigarettes, people rarely looked us in the eye, and the receipt was hand-written. The only good thing I can say about them is that the car turned out nice.

I went here after being quoted a week to repair and paint some front end damage. By the time it was done three weeks had passed. I got my car back dirty and found several defects in my paint that literally any painter should have seen from a mile away.

Federal Way MAACO has been terrific,! This is the third vehicle Ive had painted there, the body work and derailing have been awesome! I wholeheartedly recommend this crew to anyone looking for the best job for the best value.

PRO: they did an awesome job sanding/painting my car hood for me.CON: They informed me that the paint job for my car hood would be completed in 3-4 days. On the 3rd day I called to check in with the progress. Service rep told me it would be done the following day. 4th day I called and they told me it would be done on day 10. Had I known this would be a 10 day job I would have prepared by renting a vehicle or just taking my car back until they were ready to work on it. It would have been nice if they called me and just said Hey, we wont be able to get your car done in the time we stated. Its gonna be 10 days - not 3-4 days.on the 10th day i go to pick up my car. I stood in the doorway for several minutes ignored. I finally told the older guy im here to pay for my car. His response was Who are you? And looked away from me. He didnt bother to stand up to look for my paperwork on the wall - he sat there squinting at the wall. Finally the rep who usually takes the calls walked in and pulled the paperwork off the wall for him and she allowed me to pay for the services.Yes, the paint job was great. But its not worth the blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism by that guy. I wont use MAACO anymore. I need to stick with Abra for body repairs/paint.In response to owners comment: Are you sure it wasnt you that was the older guy? He seemed pretty confident about his behavior. I dont think i will send an email to the address you provided - its probably your email.

Came to get the most basic paint job for my 89 s10 blazer, me and my kid spent a few hours doing primer and sanding and the results where amazing !! This guys did a great job and the people at the office treated me really well..thanks guys 🙏

We went in last week for an estimate and were told by the woman working that if we did all the prep work (my husband used to work autobody) that we could bring our car in and they would get it in right away to be painted. We spent a few days prepping the car and brought it back today. The guy working told us it would be a few weeks. We explained that we did all the prep work and the woman we spoke to last week told us they would get it in right away, but the man was rude to us and told us she was on vacation and wouldnt be back until next week and there was nothing he could do. He just turned and walked away while I was still speaking to him.

I had originally brought in my truck to maacoʻs in order to get a paint job done my original quote was $2900. They originally said that the payjob would take 3 months but it ended up taking a total of 7 months and then when I went to finally pick up my truck parts of my truck were not even painted and when I asked them about it they said that they would paint it but they would charge extra to do that, I reminded them that they had specifically said that those parts that they had not paid were included in the initial service that I had paid for but they just said that they would have to charge extra so I ended up doing it anyway then it took another 3 months and I ended up paying $3296, When I finally left with my truck the person who did my payjob said quoyeah you have a 5 year warranty on your truck so you can bring it back whenever you need a paint job or need a fix but I dont want to see your truck back in my shop again So sent a complaint to corporate in regards to the 5 year warranty and the bad customer service and I am expecting compensation for my grievances and I if I could rate it 0 out of 5 stars I would give it a negative rating unprofessional and just ghetto, And the paint job was mediocre at best

I called frantically when I hit a parking pole at my apartment complex and completely knocked the bumper off the car (I’m talking styrofoam hanging and wires out and everythang) when I spoke to the owner he was so kind !! He helped me when I pulled in and everyone smiled and laughed and was amazing.. they helped me and fixed it and quoted me MORE THEN FAIR !! I will always come here. I appreciate this so much. I took my BMW there to repair couple of dents. First they filled the dents with bondo then they used different black color to paint the fender..My original black color doesnt contain metallic flaks I think they just used whatever was in the paint gun at that time which was black paint with metallic flaks...They are cheap for a reason.

Extremely satisfied with their service. Cost effective! And communicative skills were highly satisfied. Mark went above and beyond to meet my expectations for my vehicle: quick and consistent estimate, repaired my vehicle in 2 days, and wonderful sense of humor.

This is the worst place to go in Federal Way. Had my vehicle brought in to reattach the hood cord. They had my vehicle for a week without communication. Once we spoke with them they wanted $500 to fix my hood properly. Lady are you serious? My son had the hood open to replace his radiator and didnt attach the cord before closing it and you want me to pay $500 for that. I called back as the owner of the vehicle and spoke with the shop manager and explained how the repairs made no sense and she advised since I gave her attitude she would just close the hood back. Dont ever go here not ever for air in your tires.

I took my car to this place because my dad told me it was a good place to go, it was 3 years before. IT WAS A MISTAKE !, an old man checked my car, without a mask, then he presumed that this may gonna take awhile to find the paint code. It turn out the paint were not complete same color. BAD BAD JOB !, worst car painter in federal way, now i have problem with my dad.

Came here because my friend have a good looking result. It turn out became rude, mean and disgraced looking results.The owner trying to upsale and told we ll fix it for.more.money.Dont.come here !! Had my truck repaired and painted after someone hit it while it was parked at home. They did a very good job and Im very happy. Repair was quick and was ready right when they said it would be. I would definitely allow them to work on another vehicle of mine.

This is the second car Ive taken to Maaco Collision Repair & Auto Painting for body repairs and paints. This first car was my son-in-laws car that we had painted as a Christmas present and this Maaco in Federal Way did an amazing job for the price. It cost us a little over $600 and I did no prep work. This car had some minor door dings and deep scratches when I brought it to their shop. I know they had to spend at least 5 hours of repair work.My second car was an interesting job. I got in an accident in the parking lot of this very Maaco when a car backed into my car leaving the house paint store next to Maaco. I was going to Maaco to get a door ding estimate when WHAM, I heard a thud after this car backed into mine. I had a quote within minutes. The next week I took the car in and a few days later my car was like new again. I cant tell the bumper was repaired and painted. A new unpainted bumper would have cost me almost $600. They did a good match job and there was no orange peel on the paint surface. All this for less than half the price of a new bumper unpainted. Great job again Maaco (of Federal way)! I know the boss cares because he inspects all the work upon completion

I took my 350Z to Maaco with a crack on the front bumper which I was told by other Auto body shops that it couldnt be fixed. I would have to replace the whole bumper. I am so amazed at the job they did my car looks fantastic and Im very pleased with the work!

We had operate a small taxi fleet on the opposite side of the state. Chris was very helpful in getting our entire fleet done in a quick, timely manner. And the quality has been holding up very nicely! We will definitely use them again as our fleet continues to grow.

I used them to get a new bumper for my Scion XB. Scheduling the service and drop off was effortless. I wish there was a bit more communication, when I dropped it off they said nothing but, okay and gave no expectations in terms of when the car would be ready or anything else. Nonetheless, they got the job done. When I picked up and paid for my car the guy gave me an invoice to sign stating I had inspected the car. I hadnt, and told him Id like to see the car prior to signing. I inspected the car then signed. We closed the interaction with him saying, Now I dont want to see you back here.... unless its for a paint job or something else. As if he thought I was going to come back and complain later. I thought it was a bit rude but I just left.Service was fine, but they need some customer service training.

Youve heard stories about Maaco paint jobs, but this isnt one of them. The owner, Chris, is a great guy and gave me a good deal on painting my car. The car came out great and is still holding up 2 years later. I drove all the way from Lacey to have Chriss shop do my car,and will continue my business with them.

I highly recommend Maaco in Federal Way, WA. I took my badly sun damaged, peeling 96 RAV4 to them. First, the customer service I received far exceeded my expectations. Robin kept me informed every step of the way. My RAV has never looked so good. They matched the paint number on the door. I never knew tat color was so beautiful. The paint job is alright, but from what I experienced when i picked up my car was disrespectful. They somehow killed my car battery(which screwed with my doors) and also they must’ve left the windows open the whole week because they left my car extremely dusty on the interior. Also, from close observation i noticed over spray on my grill, and clear coat over spray on my fog lights... i was going to take it back but my family talked me out of it. Customer service was good though. Now i just need to see how long the paint lasts. Not my first rodeo with maaco.

Chris and his team did a stellar job on my hail beaten Hyundai Accent. I received some serious hail damage on my move back from Chicago, and my commercial insurance company was not happy about the claim. Chris handled the entire painstaking process with the insurance company regarding the repair cost and was 100% transparent with the entire repair process. I was kept in the loop on all the updates and the car was repaired to like new conditions within a reasonable amount of time. Very professional. I highly recommend this Maaco for body work. Brought my car in 7/19. Said they would get to it in the next day or two. Came to visit my car today 7/25 because i wanted to see what my car looked like all prepped and sanded down only to be extremely let down when they told me they havent even touched it yet.I immediately asked for my keys and vehicle back. The cars clear coat is in horrible condition and needs immediate attention and they had it sit outside for a week. I already have 3 other shops ready to take her in albeit, at a far more expensive price but Im sure this is a blessing in disguise.What throws me off even more is when i asked for my keys back, they didnt even care and never once apologized.Overall, I feel very let down and disappointed.

We operate a taxi cab company in eastern wa an Chris has given us the fastest turn around time! Best quality paint jobs which have last an still look new after two years of hard taxi use an the best price we found in the state.

I would NEVER recommend this shop. They painted over rust holes and bad body work. The paint had a ton of lint and orange peel in the finish. I showed these flaws two times but weren’t fixed, after a third time, I found my car outside with the keys on the windshield! THEIR STANDARD PRACTICE!!!! We have an unresolved BBB complaint for more info.

Well I wasnt too please at the initial time of pick up because of overspray Marks and dirt rings on the truck that was supposedly cleaned . I had the same problem with my other car so personally what I suggest is that you cover all parts of the vehicle thats not going to be painted to delete the overspray issue . Its going to be very tough to refer any friends of mine because in my eyes you never got it right the first time Ive always had to bring the cars back !! Al Mckinney

I just get my 1997 civic to maaco federal way area to get paint the whole car when i going to pick up im so DISAPPOINTED how they paint my car it suppose to be new paint but look like old to much scrath over spray too i should listen to my cousin that they have a poorest quality job EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!Im not recomending to anyone to go this locationlearn from me

Look I don’t know where people say macco can even get a star collision repair they charge 6000 dollars 500 for a side mirror very over priced they have paint all over my crown and outline of my car I would not recommend this place to the lowest of the lowest and let’s not talk customer service the guy laugh when I told him he been paid already and there was no reason for that to be that way they installed aftermarket doors to save cost my airbag lights still on and my screen works whenever it decides poor place

2005 honda civic, Poor quality of work, for $325 they did not even clean dirt of fender before spraying It I had them redo it, Second too much orange peel, third bumper did not get enough paint came out dull no shine to it. I was disgusted with what they did to my car. I could of done better job with a rattle can. Please do not use Maaco.
