Sam is a great bartender. She knows her brews and has great suggestions. I walked in looking for one beer but walked out with 12. Thank you so much!

Best bar in Flagstaff. Huge selection of beer, wine & seltzers. Super pup friendly. Badass bartenders. Tuesday girl is my fave.

Great place to hang before the show at The Orpheum- across the street, or day drink and get some work done on a warm day with open window bar seats. Excellent bottle and can beer selection for drink or carry.

This is a (kid) friendly place for casual beer drinking and conversation. The ten beers they have on tap are diverse enough for both novice and seasoned beer drinkers. The staff laid back and the music they play is almost always good. Cash only but they have an ATM.

Bad service at this establishment. Horrible experience here. Avoid this place. Never going back there again. I never write bad reviews, but I felt compelled to after the way I was treated here. Im an easy going customer. Im polite. I tip. The bartender treated me like dirt. Very disrespectful. Bad vibes here. I also think the drinks made me sick.

Unpleasant blonde female bartender. She treated my partner incredibly poorly...We bought four drinks over two visits. These drinks included wine, beer, and coconut water. Each drink included a tip. She refused to let my partner use the bathroom. Because he had already used it on his last visit. But he had purchased additional drinks. The first time he waited twenty minutes to use the bathroom. He may have taken some time himself - because he was ill - which she knew. He is always polite, but she was incredibly rude..he was very upset. Even if there was some policy in place she was upholding she could have done it better. She is a really nasty piece of work. I have insipid diabetes - am.Inot welcome at this establishment? What about someone with IBS or Crones disease? One bathroom use - no matter how many drinks you get? Is that in line with the ADA? It seems like this is no way to treat disabled people. It is no way to treat a veteran and paying customer. But admittedly it is called the pay- n-take. Maybe they should get rid of the bar, tables, and bathroom altogether..

Selection is nothing special. About the same youll find at any craft beer mart in town. Staff is friendly enough.Now, prices. 80% of their beer is decently priced. However, their bombers of Samuel Smiths are out of control. $6.99 each? Ive never, ever seen them this high- anywhere. Just the run of the mill Sammy Smiths. Not seasonal/limited.

I don’t remember the barkeeps name but she was a delight. This place has quality brew with quality service. Love it

A downtown Flagstaff institution! Funniest thing Ive ever heard a friend say about it: I raised my kids at Pay-N-Take.Things that no ones mentioned yet: 1) the outdoor area is sometimes sunny, sometimes shady, sometimes smoky, and always great. 2) the ATM inside has (in my experience) the lowest fee of anywhere downtown. 3) without actively trying to be downtowns soccer bar, this is a place where soccer fans often gather to watch matches, especially on weekday afternoons.
