He has made for me two custom Encore barrels, 5 custom handguns, 1 custom rifle and even sold me my all time favorite shotgun. He builds quality custom guns at VERY reasonable prices. I have plans for more custom work in the future, Lord willing. His proprietary gun finishes are the best Ive ever seen. The customer service is also top notch and the staff very knowledgeable. Ive had Gary and his team build me at least a half dozen custom firearms for hunting and collecting. Hes also built me barrels for my contender and encore. I currently load 5 of his GNR calibers and couldnt be happier. He gets it when it comes to hunting and gun craft. Ill use him as long as hes able to do the work.I saw a review here that said something about scotch breath. Ive been with Gary on a several hunts in Tennessee and Ive NEVER seen him so much as touch a drink. Gospel!

I sent these guys a brand new Ruger Single Ten with a 4 1/2 bbl. i know its crazy for me to have had a 6 bbl replacement done, but the heart wants what the heart wants. the work was standard. the thing is is that Gary refused to send me the original bbl. back. i argued to no avail. he simply would not send me that brand new and quite rare bbl back. he said that it was against the law for him to send back a used part or some such nonsense. i wonder if he had a chance to resell it. i loved that old bbl. I have been in Gary and Colleens shop on multiple occasions, have hunted with him, and have purchased custom handguns and barrels. Gary is an opinionated, crochety, old bastard, but he is sober as a judge, and honest as the day is long. He is awesome with kids, and I havent had to cut him yet. Mr Lahren, you are not only mistaken, but have proven yourself to be an idiot too.

Purchased a really neat Ruger SBH with a muzzle break and a red dot sight. The action is slick, the gun is accurate, and the muzzle break keeps the recoil at a very tame level. The fit and finish were good. The wood to metal finish was perfect. The custom Magnum Grip make the gun handle like a different revolver. Im very happy with what I have. I had spoken to Gary a couple of times on the phone before I bought the muzzle break SBH about getting a complete custom gun. He was nothing but helpful. Honest about would I should or shouldnt or if I was ask for things the didnt make sense or couldnt be done. I didnt even get the custom done (yet). Also, I have 2 Contender barrels in wildcat cartridges. The barrels are accurate even with fire form loads. I certainly will recommend his work to my friends.

Converted a DanWesson 41 mag to 41 gnr a few years back and it was an exceptional job. Just did an octagon barreled 3 screw Blackhawk in 41 mag that was my bucket list gun. Could have a few more that arent mentioned....... Always treated very well.

Took a sporterized 1917 Enfield .30-06 to Gary to have the action/barrel blued and a scope mounted and bore sighted. The bluing was a beautiful job, just a tad expensive in my opinion, but great job. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. The store did not smell like dog pee, although they were selling some dogs in the store. If youre going into a gun store and youre offended by the smell of dog pee, maybe you should move to Beverly Hills... and there was an amazing assortment of reloading supplies. Definitely positive experience.
