I remember Raindew from back in the 80s and it was a great store to shop I just recently went and its even better now then it was back in the day they have everything and some things are unique. Best of all its nice and pleasant to see seniors working as cashiers thank you never give up

The place has just about everything. Small hardware items, tapes, glues, light bulbs, small tools, kitchen utensils, etc. They also have tee shirts, sweatshirts, toys, candy, snacks, a full service pharmacy, books, seasonal decorations, small appliances, contact paper, clear vinyl sheeting, stationary supplies, plants, BBQ grills and thousands of other items. Great store, friendly helpful staff, well stocked and clean.

I dont go to this store anymore since they closed the sterling bank. This morning went inside and bought few items. OMG😥the sales lady asked for my bag to check if there was something inside it. Ive never been to a store like this I think. they treat youre like a thief what a horrible experience. I will never ever come back to this store.

Today’s was not the first experience I had here. Every other experience I’ve had here was pleasant but I suppose it’s thanks to me never having any issues at checkout until before. I came in to buy some more masks for my daughter for school. Upon arriving at the counter I realized I’d left my wallet at home. I tried my Apple Pay and was declined due to insufficient funds in my account. I’m sure I’m not the only person experiencing this during a global pandemic but you would have thought that I just announced to the store that I was a completely uncivilized vagrant at the change in mood at this point. The clerk (who before my payment was declined was sweet as pie talking to me about her family) now turned cold and annoyed and shouts across the counter “come void this. Idk she doesn’t have enough money”. When I finally managed to dig some coins out of my pocket she let out an audible sigh of annoyance. It was the single most humiliating experience of my life. I will NEVER be going back here. Shame on these people!!! This is a time for compassion! Not a single staff member here showed an ounce of it as I was struggling, hands shaking, to come up with the balance. I was not asking for anyone to give a handout just for you to have the basic decency to conceal your annoyance until I left the store!

I am a 62 yr old woman liviing in NHP for 34yrs.I have a home and a family I have been going to Raindew in Floral pk for most of those yrs. Probably 2 xs a wk. I know all the workers many by name.I was shoppng during the height of the coronavirus in april when one of the managers asked if I was finished paying, if I was sure I payed for everything. I was taken aback .I was wearing a sweatshirt with a front pouch. Which he asked me to empty. I was so humiliated and embarrased I have never been back. With the community opening up more I will be able to spread this terrible story of being accused of shoplifting.I am a respected and active citizen of this community.Raised a family here. With school classes opening people are more about and I will tell my story of the total disrespect I was showm by just being a totally loyal customer.
