I have been doing business with Musical Depot of Florence for many years. As a stage musician, my experience with them has been, by far, the best I have ever encountered (when it comes to privately owned shops). Their staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. Prices are fair and their wide selection of products and services make Musical Depot of Florence, SC, the absolute best place to shop for all of my music equipment needs, in my opinion. Extremely negative experience. Store owner (the lady not the man) tried to SUPER upcharge me for saxophone repair work. Almost 3x what it should cost. She wouldnt give me any information on who was ACTUALLY handling my saxphone and doing the work. Why would I give me precious instrument to someone who I cant even verify knows anything about anything about saxophones?!?!?! Very very shady. She proceeded to be EXTREMELY rude and negative on the phone. Do not recommend this place. Wish I could give negative stars. Absolutely disgusting customer service. Just horrible.Long story short, I ended up finding the ACTUAL sax repair guy that she uses, and he was SO cool, charged me 1/3 of what this con artist at music depot tried to charge me. DO NOT GO HERE. BAD VIBES.

Was looking for my favorite guitar strings...which are sometimes difficult to find..not only did they have them but it was a pleasure talking with them...

Got my Marshall MG15FX Amp. from here they were very informative & Friendly but not pushy. Really enjoyed my visit. 💙🎵🎶🎸🎼

I only gave them 2 stars because they have nice guitars there. The lady was rude and glared at me the whole time I walked around like I was going to steal something. And when I ask her a question about a product. She insulted me in how I said it .I do not recommend buying any musical supply there. eBay is a lot more polite .

Maybe the guy that gave them a high score was a family member? Perhaps he was the one guy they were nice to this year. I have purchased music equipment from Boston to Houston and from Avon Park Florida to Indianapolis Indiana. Never have a I met a more combative sales clerk as the one in Florence’s only music store. Of course most ppl in retail in Florence try their best to make you feel like they’re doing you a favor just by waiting on you. So go ahead and drive to Guitar Center in Columbia. It will be best for your pocket book and your sanity.

Read the reviews and thought this store may be a waste of time, I go in the store ready to be disappointed. Contrary to some reviews, customer service was pleasant and excellent, store well lite and display very well, clean and no odors.I will drive the 45 minutes to this store next time I need musical products. It is true they dont seem to carry Taylor, Martin, etc.. but the other brands appear to be the well chosen that I saw on display.

By far some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with. Willing to go above and beyond just the sale. Thanks for being awesome.

I be tried to spend money in there but the owners wife OMG talk about a power trip!! Itd be different is there was anything decent in there for sale. Standard music in sumter aint that far away.

Musical Depot is pretty much like Florence, SC. Those who understand, would probably agree. If you like Takamine, Peavy, or Takamine, wait...no yeah thats the main thing there. Ive purchased small items there to be supportive of a local business, but dont look forward to it when I do. This review is my goodbye and good luck.

Cant say enough about the professionalism & friendliness of the staff. I brought in my guitar to find out why it was so hard to play, and they diagnosed the problem within seconds. The next day, I practically had a brand new guitar. Thanks, guys!
